• Rodion (4/5): Review for New Sun Hotel - The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. The security guard and receptionists were particularly polite and helpful. The location is very convenient, making it easy to explore the city. The cleanliness of the room was disappointing. I found a cockroach in the room, which was unpleasant. The lighting in the room was insufficient, making it feel dim and uncomfortable. The bottled water in the room was not complimentary but chargeable, despite its presentation making it seem like a free amenity.

We arrived at 11:00, the room was ready and clean, but they asked us 100.000 to go inside before 14:00. This was the first time I saw something like that. I worked for an hotel and if the guest arrive earlier and the room is ready you don't charge for that.

The staff were great, helped me store my backpack when I reached very early in the morning at 7am, and when I went around after check out before my bus to danang. The room was wonderfully clean and very comfortable. I'm really grateful to the hotel for offering early check in when the room was available. 5 stars! By the way they also work with a tour agency, you can book tours with them. Couldn't figure out the light switch and the tap. The label on the tap was odd. The rain-showerhead had very low water pressure, but it's alright, as the round showerhead worked perfectly fine.

• ScottC4622 (4/5): Confusing experience - Purely personal experience. Upon arrival the asked for our passports and refused to return them until we had completed our stay. After asking for them back they stated it was a deposit system, it was either have our passports back or hand over one million dong. We asked them to scan them instead but they didnt want to even though once we left I saw they had clearly scanned them anyway.I've never heard of this occurring and seems incredibly devious. The hotel also CLEARLY states that it is a none smoking hotel, and has non smoking rooms. The door on the back has a sign stating caught smoking will have a $50 fine. The room next to us started smoking in the hallway which to my surprise was weird, gone downstairs to ask the staff (the same people who didnt give our passports back) and they said it's fine to smoke in the hallways of every floor. So my girlfriend and I endured every night of disgusting smoke airing our room for hours whilst people smoked. It was honestly like living in a tobacco factory.This definitely should have set the alarm off but didnt. All in all, the hotel was close to the beach, and had decent views from the hallway only. I also booked the superior double room cause I was under the impression from their own photos that there was a bath. Gone to the room, no bath.
• Ontida (2/5): Not value for money - Unpleasant experience in Nha trang. With this price, you can find other hotel that newer, better staffs. Not recommend this place ever. Reception insists to keep my passport for the whole stay and not explain the resaon. He claims that it's the rule of every hotel. (I just checked out from another hotel, they don't keep my passport and I used to work in 5 stars hotel in Bangkok for almost 10 years, I never heard this kind of rule) He uses the word "Do you understand?" with me. I just don't want to have the problem so I let it go. Hotel entrance looks small and old, same as inside the hotel. There's only 1 elevator in the building with more than 10 storeys. Room looks ok but it is not ok. Pretty old bathroom with bad perfume smell they use to clean. Housekeeping never fill up shampoo, bath gel or tissue. There's rusty stain in the shower gel. Shampoo and shower gel container looks not hygien at all. Sink tub leaks. Housekeeping moves my cosmetic and toiletry stuff just to place towels. She just push away my stuffs instead of keeping it tidy. Housekeeping ring the bell at 9.30.am. just to clean up the room. Is it too early? But I refuse. Then I left the room at 13.00pm and hang the clean up room sign at the doorknob. And came back to the room at night. No one clean up my room. I got room face to the city which is very noisy. You can hear traffic sound, cats, dogs all night. Male reception and housekeeping don't have good manner. Very small breakfast area. Poor quality of baquette bread.
• Jan (8/5): Had the suite with balcony - I had the suite with balcony which was very nice, especially the balcony and the view. They are however building a new hotel that will likely block the sea view when finished. The breakfast was so-so, the Coffe was very strong and milk & suger was hard to find. The location pretty good, but you have to cross two streets to get to the beach.
• Quyen (6/5): - The room is non smoking, however as they allow other rooms to smoke in the balcony, the smoke goes into my room and contaminates our air. When we complain about it, the reception is dismissive and said they cannot do anything about it

• 108anisab (2/5): Worst experience in Vietnam - This hotel was by far our worst in 3 weeks of being in Vietnam. Due to the shower/bath flooding the bathroom, toilets not working and sink not draining, we had to change rooms. Breakfast was pretty bad. Paid in advance for 3 nights and still decided to leave early, despite losing money. When we wanted to book a taxi to leave, the receptionist said it would cost 400,000 when we got a grab for 39,000! Then finally when we were nearly out of there, the receptionist insisted on checking the room and refused to let us leave when we had a train to catch! She even told the taxi driver to not leave until this was done - I have never had to wait for a room to be checked on check out in my life. Also, pictures are not accurate. AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!
• 8tashaa (4/5): Bad plumbing, bad breakfast and rude staff - Fairly good location close to the beach and comfortable beds, but that was the only good thing about this hotel. My friends had to move twice due to plumbing and our own sink became blocked after 1 day too. The staff were not friendly at all and very rude when we left early, they did not do anything to try to compensate for our bad visit. The breakfast was below average and only having one lift for 14 floors became a problem. I would not recommend.
• jspk42 (2/5): Avoid! Had to leave early - Our only bad experience in the whole three weeks of travelling in Vietnam. We had to move rooms twice because of bad plumbing (toilet overflowed and then bath/shower flooded the whole bathroom). Breakfast was average but nothing for any food allergies (I can’t have gluten or dairy), I went hungry although I paid for breakfast). We had pre booked this hotel and we paid in advance for 3 nights. However, the service was so terrible we decided to leave after 1 night even though it meant losing our money. To add insult to injury, when we told them we were leaving early and to book a taxi for us ASAP to the train station, we were told it would be 400,000 (it was only 39,000 in a Grab) which was absolutely ridiculous. And then when our Grab came, the very rude receptionist would not let him leave and proceeded to make our departure very difficult. Horrendous experience.

• billyb247 (8/5): Good city centre location - Good hotel in a central location. Staff are friendly, attentive and speak English. The room had excellent views of the city and the sea, but I fear new builds may soon obscure these. Safe and WiFi in the room.
• Ka Chun (6/5): - Pictures are not right. Hotel is required renovation. When I first stepped in the room, my attention was caught by a standing fan so my first instant feeling was that there must be a problem with air conditioning. Air con wasn't cool enough and I asked for change of room but i was told all rooms were sold out. They promised me to change room the next day but they sent a technician to fix the problem instead which I very much appreciated, then I stayed on in the same room without any problem. Actually, the staff was very helpful as they tried to help in many ways. My departure flight was in the afternoon, although my late out couldn't be accommodated, they offered us to have a shower in the lobby shower room so that I got refreshed before taking the flight.

• Elsid2509 (8/5): Great location - I stayed at the establishment last December. While it may not look much from outside, it more than makes up for it with it's large rooms. The location is fabulous, very close the main beach road. There are plenty of eateries near the hotel as well. The breakfast was satisfactory, as well. It's a good hotel for a short stay in Nha Trang.

• Timothy (2/5): Hotels.com should delist this hotel. - I had checked in to the hotel and found the room unacceptable. An extremely small aircon was used for a "suite room". Curtains were drabby and water leaked all over the bathroom from the bath tub. We did an early check out after 2 hours and found another hotel on our own. Reception guy also was not ready to serve us when we arrived and didn't even bother to us why we wanted to check out after so soon. This place should just be delisted from hotels.com to avoid disappointment to other travellers!
• FaiziMdKhalid (8/5): Reasonable - We appreciate the spacious room and the view overlooking part of Nha Trang beach and city was awesome. Great location with hundreds of eateries, massage parlors and shopping nearby. Breakfast however was not impressive at all, with majority of spread are of local delicacies. Staff service at both Reception and Restaurant can be better. Front Desk kept our passports throughout the 3 nights' stay, citing for safety purposes. Laundry service is available at a modest rate. Hundreds of TV channels but 80% are in Vietnamese :-) We would recommend New Sun Hotel to travelers mainly because of the reasonable price and location.

• KCL201809 (8/5): My recent stay in Nha Trang - 我這次旅程去了四間酒店, 各有不同. 詳情我用英語寫下, 讓更多人可以看到 整體來說, Novotel和Citadine給我的體驗都很好, 值得推介 而New Sun只為省錢而去, Havana就兩頭不到岸, 不太建議了 I will post the following content in all 4 hotels I stayed. This was the first time I went to Nha Trang and the great experience urged me to register an account in tripadvisory so that I can show my appreciation through some kind of action... 1. New Sun Hotel HK$300 per night - Very limited Sea view Budget choice, don't expect much. You can simply ignore the breakfast and find something better around. Clean and tidy. Good if you expect nothing in so-called sea view. This hotel was not built on the street heading directly to the beach. The view was blocked by something else for sure. 2. Novotel Nha Trang HK$720 per night - Great Sea view with balcony Great staff (the check-in counter staff can even recall my name when I get passed the lobby. Ah, we are both man. I am not attractive in all aspects. His great memory made me surprised). Less noisy customer. The room and corridor were a bit...old fashioned? But not a problem indeed. GREAT seaview. I can fully utilize the balcony and wait for sunrise. Great experience. The breakfast was nice. But of coz you can aim for something special on the street instead of staying in the hotel. 3. Premier Havana Nha Trang Hotel HK$530 per night - Partial Sea view I understand I pay less and thus the so-called sea view room was a partial one. Honestly I prefer a 'city-view' with further price reduction. -Too many noisy customers. -Got a tunnel to the beach (the tunnel can be used by everybody but it was built right under Havana) 4. Citadines Bayfront Nha Trang HK$825 per night - Great Sea view with balcony -Great staff. The formal staff I mean. The trainees are fair... of coz they are just trainees... -Great sea view. Balcony with great sunrise. -The atmosphere of room was great as well. This hotel gave me the best impression overall. -The positive feeling I had motivated me to write this whole article. Overall, plz consider citadines or novotel if you expect more for hotels. Go for budget choice like new sun (without seaview) if you plan to spend not much time in hotel.

We arrived early and departed late, so they kept our luggage both before check-in and after check-out while we visited the city, which we really appreciated. The room itself was good and modernly equipped, the bed was large and comfortable. Location is very good, right in the middle of Nha Trang. Looking at other hotels in the area, this seems to be a good value for money. However, apart from the receptionist and the bellman, who were very friendly, we found the remaining staff distant and lacking minimal empathy, especially when comparing with our experiences in the rest of Vietnam. The staff in the breakfast buffet was clearly uninterested and sometimes busy playing with their phones. The cleaning staff was rude when we were checking out. The breakfast was average.

• jung (6/5): 잠깐 들리기 좋은 호텔 - 저희는 비행기시간이 새벽이라 리조트 체크아웃 후 잠깐 짐도맡기고 비행기타기전 시내돌고 샤워하고 가려고 예약했습니다. 반나절이용했는데. 위치는 나쁘지않았고 골목 구석에있습니다. 에어컨은 노후되서 세게틀면 덜덜거렸습니다. 가격대비 아리송하긴한데 저렴한거치고는 넓고 혼자 싸게가거나 남자들끼리가면 나쁘지않은데 가족이가거나 연인이 숙박하기는 좀 그렇슴다. 체크인2시였지만 12시에 체크인해줘서 편했습니다.

• XIAO TIEN (6/5): Don't choose VIP Room only - The VIP Room are dirty, aircon is hot. Others room OK, staff are friendly and nicely willing to help
• Verified traveler (2/5): - I wanted to give this place minus -1 if I could. First of take those nice pictures off and put the real ones. Straight up lie about the premises. Dirty, there were long hair everywhere floor, bed, bathroom. Room was tiny, opened my luggage and couldn't move around its very small even for one person. Thin walls no privacy and very noisy. There are two major constructions going on behind walls. I could hear people snoring and talking at night in other suites. There are also rats in that building and you can hear them how they race above the ceiling. That place should cost $5 a night. Small, dirty, noisy.

This hotel offers free breakfast and they have good menu selections to choose from and available on food line and you can also request how to cook your breakfast eggs or what kind of pho you like.
• Darya (4/5): - We were looking for honey moon sweet room with a great view, and room wich I chose was incredible. Loved the round bed, balcony and bath over the glass wall. Those reasons were enough to stay there. But Images in expidia.com show that there are two sweet rooms and both of them has a huge balcony. In this case, I didn’t see the difference and chose the chippest one. The pictures were not correct, that room didn’t have balcony at all. We were very disappointed.
• Bella (6/5): Good condition and nice room. - The location was good and close to the beach. Rooms were nice and the staff were very friendly. However, we found it hard to communicate with the reception staff because we don’t speak Vietnamese and they didn’t speak much English. This was tricky when booking our hotel for the airport for our 3am flight as we were concerned that it may not come as they didn’t seem to understand us (luckily it did in the end). Also the breakfast was not great and the room was small with not much to choose from and not very good quality food. Most of it had run out and was not being replaced again by the time we got to breakfast an hour before it shut.

• kirstenmac12 (6/5): Average - The room is nice, modern, spacious. Was clean and safe feeling. However, there was no hot water in the shower very poor pressure from the shower on the ceiling. We could not use the shower head on the wall as when we did it would literally soak the entire bathroom. We went down early to eat breakfast but didn’t fancy eating it at all so went out for breakfast despite having paid for the room to include it. There was no construction noise whatsoever during our stay despite other reviews of the hotel. It’s also in a good location, short walk from the beach.
• Ray (4/5): - Normal budget hotel. The hotel is in town and very convenient to go. I am not satisfy the Air-con due to even though I turned the temperature to be 16C, the air came out was hot or warm, I cannot immediately cool down. Also the curtain in the bathroom was suddenly dropped down and made me head injury. Hope they can improve it asap.
• Jasonpianoharp (8/5): Great location for valued price - Nice room. Nice authentic breakfast. Communication in english is the main problem in vietnam lucky most vietnamese able to speak a little chinese. Breakfast was awesome. Try making your very personal “bahn mi” (vietnamese sandwich) . And vietnamese coffee (add coffee, condensed milk, touch of butter, and some milk). Local night market at a walking distance. Local food stalls also walking distance.

• Ng (8/5): Value for money - Stayed at this hotel for three nights. As with any hotels there are pros and cons. I will list out below. Pros : Hotel's location is good , lots of eateries, shopping within walking distance and the beach is just across the road. Wifi and the air con is very good. Breakfast spread in our opinion is really good for the price we pay ( don't think I can get this back home). Staff is friendly and check in and out was a breeze. Thankfully during our stay there were no construction on so we slept very well. Taxis all use meter and is cheap. Cons: Improvement should be made to the shower area. It's better that they install a door at the shower area as there is ample space. After each shower the entire floor/bathroom is wet. The glass partition between the bed and bathroom could do with frosted glass instead of a pull across plastic drapes because the bottom part of the drape ( due to the water splashes) is stained and dirty which is so unsightly. So overall it is pleasant stay.

• Vanessa (4/5): No so good New Sun - Terrible stay tiny elevator no air conditioning, they had fans go full ball just to keep guests cool in 34 degree heat in reception. Buffet breakfast was terrible, small room was over crowded, stuffy, no variety or selection of food. Family room was suppose to have 2 double beds but only had 1 double bed the other was a sofa bed with thin mattress caused extreme bad back ache. What was worse was the bed head positioned 20cm away from toilet door, toilet had no exhaust fan or window, shower did not have shower head stand just had a hose.... Terrible terrible stay wouldn't recommend and would not come back ever again.

• Oil (8/5): 雞肋，性價比良好 - 價格便宜，包早餐（食物一般不特別），鄰近夜市及景點，賓館級數，乾淨，宜短住一晚 需要放下證件作扺押，附近（5分鐘步程以內）唔覺有好多食物選擇

• SuebeePerth (4/5): Stay somewhere else there are heaps of other options - We stayed only stayed one night thankfully! There was construction going on therefore endless banging. Our window was cover on cement spray, was filthy and we looked out through construction mesh. At night light streamed in through our bathroom window even when the bathroom blind down. I did mention this to reception but they were not at all concerned. We also found the bathroom a very weird design and not to our liking. Sitting down for a shower (water went everywhere) and having to pull the blind down each time you wanted to use the bathroom was inconvenient. (We traveled whit my 14 year old son)

• nash (10/5): Fantastic stay @ new sun nha trang - Check in was a breeze..to our surprise the room was new looking and soo beautiful with a bath tub and window with sea view..had a minibar filled with drinks and also had some Tit bits..breakfast was a good variety and good at this price.. however it gets abit boring one 3rd day onwards as it’s the same menu each day..we rented a bike with the hotel as it felt safe to rent from them even though slightly more exp..they offered help whenever needed and checkout was a breeze..the gals who work there were cute and the guy who does the night shift was super helpful! Fantastic!

• Ingela (6/5): Högljudd omgivning - Bra läge om man vill promenera mycket runt i staden, men mitt bland flera stora byggprojekt så det är väldigt högljutt. Dessutom väldigt tunna ytterväggar så precis allt från gatan hörs väldigt väl. Trevligt rum, rent och en förhållandevis skön säng. Frukosten okej om man gillar mat till frukost, soppa, omelett, ris, vårrullar mm.
• Sook231 (8/5): Hotel with reasonable price - stay here for 4 days 3 night at Family Room at 1403. The room located at highest floor with nice city and sea view. There are 2 rooms located at this floor. The room is spacious with fridge and safe box inside. Coffee and tea are compliment. The staff Mr Phou is quite helpful to provide information about surrounding. There is a new shopping complex nearby hotel ( about 30m ), namely Vincom Plaza. you can always buy the cheap snacks / drinks at Vinmart which is located inside the Vincom Plaza. The hotel is nearby night market and many cafe and restaurant nearby along the Hong Voung and Quyen Thin Tuat street. The breakfirst is standard and delicious but not much variety. The reception is quite helpful during check out. She assist to call the driver in which I have booked myself through Dichung. There is friendly security assist in carrying luggage during check in and check out. The Nha Trang City is developing, you may facing the noise pollution in any hotel you stay. There is no big issue for me about the noice to stay at New Sun Hotel The bus #4 is passby the hotel in which it will go to Po Nagar and Hong Chong Rock. Overall, we satisfy to stay at this hotel consider the strategic location and the price
• Gaal (6/5): Fleas and noisy - We booked the sea view for our stay instead, we only got one room with that view. Also, the other side of the building under construction which made a lot of noise. I wished the hotel had contacted us prior to our arrival that they were having construction on the other side of the building. Sucks because we couldn’t use the rooftop, the hot tub sucks and was not working. It was in a small area which was not worth it. There’s only one elevator and you cannot use the stairs on certain levels due to construction. The room was clean so I thought until we found FLEAS in one of the rooms!!!! Went down and talked to the front desk, they said all they can do was clean our room for us. We wanted our money back and had to have a friend who spoke the language come by to explain the situation. They finally agreed to moving us to another room. Breakfast was amazing though. Overall this place could have been better if we had gotten what we paid for (sea view) and if they would had warn us about the construction noise.
• nelise92 (4/5): disappointing :( - I hate to do this, but we unfortunately had an unpleasant stay. From the maintenance work that was right outside our room (as in right at our door painting and banging with intense smells and no notification this would be happening) to them also doing maintenance on the emergency exit stairs that were connected to our room on a dodgy door? All without being notified that this would be happening. Our room had dirt throughout it, and we were hardly spoken two words to at reception. After a few hours and the smell and noise not disappearing to walking outside our room and having to step over maintenance materials (even when they knew we were in the room) we decided to leave. disappointing as we saw ao many happy reviews prior to booking and for the price we paid.
• jameskatirai (4/5): Building site - Potentially a nice hotel. Good location. Decent staff. One reception lady very friendly. One most likely a compulsive liar however she has a hard job due to the level of building work. So many people complained and left during our stay. We put up with it as couldn’t be bothered to move. Constant drilling, hammering and damp throughout the room with mould on ceiling and walls.
• Dave (4/5): Check if under reconstruction before you book - We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a double room on the 8th floor. Our stay was negatively affected by ongoing construction and maintenance works on higher and also lower floors which created a lot of noise and dirt inside the hotel. That was simply bad planning from hotel management. Receptionists, just like any other hotel staff, could hardly speak any English. Wifi connection was terrible. Buffet breakfast was good, location of the hotel is good, and room condition and equipment were also good.

Air condition was effective also. BUT... I woke up every morning very early because of very bad noise reduction of room. There was a super noisy building site near of hotel. People in hotel reception were bored af and didn't really care about us. Overall, I cannot recommend if you are searching warmly service and atmospheric place to stay.
