Guest Reviews
- Noel (7/5): -
- Ian (10/5): - Spacious & very clean, lovely garden. Best bed I've slept in, in 4 weeks.
Owner is very welcoming & an excellent cook.
While the town is very quiet, the location makes for an easy morning walk into Zamora, if doing the Camino del la Plata.
This has been one of our best stays over the last 3 + weeks of walking. Town doesn't have many facilities to offer.
However Posada Real del Bien Camino makes up for everything else.
- Seamus (8/5): - Eugenia is an excellent hostess. Her food is delicious. Her location on the Camino was critical and her advice re transport saved us a lot of money. While the food was excellent and the eine delicious we felt that the price was a little steep.
- Martin (10/5): - An excellent hostess, Maria Eugenia, so helpful, beautiful meal, fabulous beds and bathroom facilities were superb. Breakfast is included which was delicious and set us up for a great day walking the camino, muchas gratias Maria Eugenia and Luisa! We will be back!!!

- Lindsey (6/5): Unable to find a room in Zamora we were glad to find this remote spot, but couldn't raise the host! - The room was nice, and comfortable with a good bathroom. Breakfast was served by the proprietor who came from elsewhere to attend to us. She did not speak English, and did not live in the same building - we were the only guests in the place. We arrived at night and it was difficult to find because there are hardly any lights or other inhabitants of the village. There is no bar or shop, so the bread for breakfast was not freshly cooked. The worst thing was that we arrived five minutes after the time we expected to check in, and there was no one at all in the building - also the telephone number cut off before anyone answered. It was only by contacting our son who speaks Spanish and managed to get through eventually, that the lady turned up at the posada and let us in. She didn't appear to be at all apologetic! We saw several references to pilgrimage and felt sorry for weary walkers who missed their check in time and couldn't get in touch, though some reviews in the visitors' book referred to a charming hostess who had cooked lovely meals for them!
- Laura (5/5): Poco acogedora, cara y mal ubicada.
- Nancy (9/5): Lovely stay along the Camino - Perfectly located along the via de la plata Camino. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The host prepared a delicious vegan meal even though we had not given her any advances notice.
- bernal martin (10/5): -
- Big (9/5): Professional host - The guest house was perfect. The host was wonderful and did everything possible to make the guests stay as enjoyable as possible. The host also cooked a beautiful dinner enjoyed by everyone. Also the host was proficient in English which made all matters easy.
- Gertjan (8/5): A very comfortable place to stay on the Via de la Plata. - The room was very nice and the beds superb. None
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Sara (7/5): Nice friendly place but expensive - Perfectly placed on the Camino for walkers, room was spacious but a bit faded and no plug in the bath. Our friendly host offered us an evening meal as the local bar is closed on Mondays. She also arranged a taxi to take our luggage on to our next destination. Compared to other similar guesthouses we did feel it was very expensive:€133 for bed and light breakfast, €35 for a simple dinner. However if you are walking the Camino and don’t want to stay in an albergue there is no other choice
- Jolene (10/5): Excellent stay and sleep. - Excellent location. Kind host. Great for via de la plata. Nothing.
- Paul (10/5): Space and luxury on The Camino - The house is a beautiful place to stay. A bit of luxury along The Camino. Fantastic shower.
The owner also offers both an evening meal and breakfast.
Large lounge area to relax in.
The only thing that wasn’t to my taste was the memory foam mattress, others may like that though.
I would stay again.
- Thomas (9/5): A hidden gem near Zamora - The rooms are cosy and the property is beautifully refurbished and maintained. Eugenia is a fantastic host and takes time to speak to her guests. She offers a tasty dinner option as well as well as breakfast, drinks and lots of other extras. She really is a lovely lady, and I would definitely visit again, maybe to even check out the local wineries, or as an alternative to staying downtown Zamora. You are a little bit stuck if you don't have your own transport. We were walking which meant we had no choice but to eat at the property. The food and wine was very good and although Eugenia has a very good setup in place to cater to people's needs, at the end of the day, you only have one option. I would go back, but definitely by car!!
- James (10/5): Exceptional - We were welcomed warmly by the lovely owner and shown to a beautiful room with gorgeous views.
Later on she prepared a fabulous three course meal served with local wine which was excellent .
All in all it was a wonderful experience and we will be back . Nothing
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Efstratios (6/5): Pleasant - I did not understand the reason but the accomodation was sending to my email, the last 10 days before my arrival, two long messages, all in Spanish which I do not speak, with a lot of useless information. These people should understand two things: first, that their messages should be in English, as not all their guests/customers speak their language, and, second, that their visitors/customers do need relax when in vacation and they dislike very much keep reading useless emails on daily basis.
- Paul (10/5): A great hug on the Camino after a long wet day - Perfect location for the Via De La Plata.
The Posada is beautifully and sympathetically designed and kept.
Great comfortable rooms.
Lovely and welcoming host.
Delicious evening three course meal.
Nice Breakfast.
- Jennifer (10/5): Peaceful stay - Very friendly host, beautifully comfortable bed
- Kathleen (10/5): Right on the Via de la Plata - Convenient location for the Via de la Plata, wonderful bath, helpful staff. The town has currently no eating facilities. As we were on foot, we messaged to check whether they could provide us with a simple dinner and breakfast - this they did.
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): A Real treat - Beautifully restaured house , impeccably decorated rooms. The town is very quiet, which made for restful sleep. We are walking the Camino de Santiago and staying here was a "Real" treat. The hostess was friendly and helpful.
- Laureen (10/5): Exceptional - A very homely and comfortable stay. Great hostess Eugenia A little earlier breakfast time would have been perfect
- Colleen (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Charming - Beautiful posada, very welcoming host. Lovely dinner and decent breakfast. Nothing
- Anthony (9/5): Superb - Very friendly welcome despite us being muddy from a day of biking and the time of our stay being completely out of season. Quality of linen and toiletries exceptional as was the super wide comfy bed. Breakfast was served to us and presented well. Secure bike storage with a couple of options depending on preference. A luxurious stop on the ruta de la via plata if you want to treat yourself or avoid the next city stopover.
- Kenny (9/5): Superb -
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daiva (9/5): Superb -
- Tony (8/5): Very good - Situation
Friendliness of owner Lack of facilities: food, local bar, WiFi.
- Gonzalo (7/5): Good value for money - sufficient
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bernard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathi (10/5): Wonderful & luxurious stay just a minute or two off the Camino. a great find for such a tiny village. - The property is a beautifully restored old building. This was a very luxurious stay for us walking the Camino. Nothing not to like!
- Boaz (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful entrance and sitting area. The room was excellent. It is well decorated and has a very calming atmosphere.
The owner is very friendly and very willing to help as my Spanish is poor. The owner speaks good english. Most obliging.
It is located in a very small town with one bar and one grocery store. Quiet surroundings. I highly recommend. Nothing.
- Marcela (9/5): Superb - Impeccable y super anfitriona Eugenia
- F.f. (6/5): Pleasant - Very remote. Very basic. No airco. But nice staff, nice garden. Nice decor
- Andrew (10/5): Fantastic Spanish Cottage - Fantastic little place to stay, in a small peaceful, country town in Spain. But most of all the hospitality of the owner is what made the stay fantastic for us. They even have their own wine, which we enjoyed with dinner.
- Lloyd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gareth (10/5): Great host very helpful in arranging an excellent restaurant for our evening meal - Great location and breakfast was typical Spanish fare One nasty old women in the village . Don't know what had upset her
- Simon (9/5): such a relaxing , homely stay with warm hospitality - charming property, clean, comfortable and
wonderful hospitality
great for visiting both Salamanca and Zamora
- Andrew (10/5): - This was a lovely place to stay. Clean and Comfortable. Welcomed by the very friendly and courteous owner. Our stay could not have been better. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast with fellow Pilgrims - walking the Camino de la Plata.
- Helen (10/5): Real Spain - well renovated b&b in rural village. - Don’t stay here if you want bars & restaurants on your doorstep - but if you are walking the Camino, or have a car, it’s a great overnight stop before you are on your way again.
The hostess was great, with fab recommendations for dinner in the next village. This really is real rural Spain - and we would stay here again.
