- Jean (10/5): Peaceful, great sleep, wonderful enclosed balcony to have coffee (it rained a lot!). - The host was very welcoming, made a wonderful breakfast for us with homemade bread and produce grown on the property. We very much enjoyed talking to her, and learned more about Korea through conversations with her. We had access to a large communal deck with several sitting areas. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We did not realize that the resort had many separate properties and no central "office", so initially we were looking around to try to find someone who could direct us to the host and the resort was surprisingly empty. It would have been nice to know that we should phone the host a few minutes in advance to tell her we were arriving, especially as we arrived before our expected time.

- Vanessa (8/5): Great location, wonderful host and amenities! - Very close proximity to the ski resort! Had a fridge, kettle, microwave, and stovetop burner. Plenty of blankets and well equipped. The owner was so friendly, excellent at communicating, and drove us down to a ski rental shop and got us discount lift tickets It was a bit cold and we couldn’t get the heat to turn up

- Nguyễn (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy cottage on the hill. The landscape is just like a dream. The room has all private facilities, warm and isolated from the snow in the winter. Everything need for a family all in the room. The owner is very kind, careful and very informative about the town.

Mistress of pension was so nice to us, really help with any questions during trip and can speak English as fluently as Korean. Also this place provides a big discount to ski gear and ski pass to nearby ski resort “Phoenix” and also free transfer. Can’t imagine a better place for this price. - Jacqueline (10/5): Perfect winter getaway. The host Jisook shi is so kind and helpful. She ferried us around in her car as the pipes froze - It’s nestled in the heart of nature surrounded by forests and overlooking a stream. It was snowing when we arrived and scenery was wonderful We initially felt it was a little small for our family but it was very cosy. There’s a shared dining room as well.

- Anastasia (9/5): Beautiful winter fairytale - The host was amazing! Very helpful, kind and attentive. She helped us picking us up and dropping us off from the station to the hotel and ski resort. The room was a bit old, but definitely had it's charm with vintage furniture and a balcony with a nice view. Overall very pleasant memories! Thank you, Jisook! Just be mindful that it is not a walking distance to the Phoenix ski resort, you will need to go there by transport. Organising a taxi might be a hassle, but Jisook, the host, is always willing to help.

- jaeung (6/5): 관리가 소홀함 - 펜션 시설은 노후 상태이고, 비교적 관리가 잘 이루어지지 않는 것 같습니다. 안내 건물은 폐허상태(유치권행사)이고, 현재 운영관리하시는분은 친절하긴 하나, 처음에 연락이 이루어지지 않아 외부에서 2시간가량 대기하면서 상황파악하느라 고생했음. (익스피디아측에서 컴플레인 대응에 대해서는 만족합니다. 최대한 소비자 입장에서 대응을 해주셔서 향후 익스드피디아에 대한 신뢰에는 변함이 없을것 같습니다.)

- Verified traveler (10/5): 가족여행 1박 - 펜션이 대체적으로 그러하듯 자연 속에 있어서 만족스러웠습니다. 다른리뷰에 나와있는것처럼 브라운관 TV / No Wi-Fi / No 전기주전자(끓이는 일반 주전자는 있음)가 없는점은 좀 아쉬웠지만 낡은 가구 등은 운영이 오래된걸 감안하면 나름 엔틱했고 저의 경우는 삼양목장 가는 길 가을 성수기에 조금 저렴하게 잡은편이라 대체적으로 만족했습니다.

I liked that you could access the shower and toilet separately. There was only one room but the loft had a small mattress on the floor. Overall, we were happy with the place and the price was fair.

- coolwater (4/5): 강원도의 밤은 시원하네요. - 에어컨이 없는 펜션이라 당황을 했는데 역시 강원도는 밤에도 에어컨이 필요가 없네요. 마을 전체를 펜션으로 한 듯한데 제가 간 곳은 오래되서 시설이 좀... 그리고 wifi가 안됩니다.
- Jong Woo (2/5): - 7여름 휴가로 7월 31일부터 8월 2일까지 2박하면서 느낀점입니다. 펜션 전경을 사진으로 보았을 때는 상당치 운치가 있었는데, 실제로 가서 보니 매우 낡아서 황량한 느낌이 들었습니다. 내부시설들중 주방은 식기, 밥통, 전열기구가 오래되어 간단한 요리도 하기가 쉽지 않은 상태여서 블루스타(휴대온 부탄가스 오븐)를 사다가 조리를 해야할 정도로 관리가 안되어 있습니다. TV는 20년전 모델로 화면이 나오는 것이 신기할 정도 였으며,특히 이해 할 수가 없던 것은 WiFi가 안되는 점이었습니다. 침대는 조금만 움직여도 삐걱소리를 내며 곧 무너질 것 같은 상태입니다. 혹시 이곳 메이페어 샬레에 묵을 예정이거나 검토하시는 분들은 이점 참고하시기 바랍니다.

- Verified traveler (2/5): IT WAS TERRIBLE - It was very terrible. Some strange smell came from water and it spreaded in the room. I don't recommend this but you can find other villas near this villa.
