Guest Reviews
- William (7/5): - My bathroom smelled strongly of pot. It must have been wafting in through the vent from the bathroom in an adjoining room. I notified the front desk and asked for another room. They said that nothing was available. They offered to try to mask the smell with fragrance but I said no thanks.

- M2476KQericam (2/5): Awful - My stay at this hotel was one of the worst lodging experiences I’ve ever had. The moment we walked into the building, there was a strong musty odor throughout the hallways and common areas. The walls were visibly stained and poorly maintained, and the floors throughout the hotel looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time.
The bedroom floors were dirty and sticky, making it uncomfortable to even walk around without shoes. The bathroom was absolutely unacceptable — there was dried vomit left in the shower from previous occupants, and the shower curtain was molded, ragged, and clearly overdue for replacement. To make matters worse, the landline phone in the room didn’t even have a cord attached, rendering it completely useless.
The pool area was just as neglected. The floors around the pool were slimy and unkept, with dirty towels scattered everywhere and empty alcohol containers left behind. The entire space felt unsanitary and unsafe. Even the windows had visible mold and moss growing around them, which only added to the overall feeling of neglect and poor hygiene.
This hotel seriously needs a deep cleaning, proper maintenance, and better management oversight. I would not recommend staying here to anyone. NO STAR RATING
- Scarlet (1/5): I wouldn’t stay here again if they give me every single night I stayed free. - Nothing if I could give it a zero I would. Everything. First they give me someone else’s room, so I walked in on a man smoking. Then we had no hot water, not even warm water for 24 hours. And still didn’t when we decided to leave. The phone in the room didn’t work to even call front desk. The bathroom was dirty, hair everywhere. Random fire alarm at 8:40 am. Thankfully it was a false alarm. We left for a graduation and came back to being locked out of our rooms. Never again.
- Andrzej (8/5): I was in that hotel often and I’m happy for location and service -
- Thumm (1/5): - Centrally located No hot water for 2 days.
- Tom (8/5): -
- houlin (3/5): - Location May be good Hot water shortage. Smell really bad in the room
- Tjvanb (4/5): Moved 3 rooms. - Our 1st room the TV did not work. We called down and was told she would be up if she got a chance. She seemed to be the only one there so we were not in a rush. My husband is an electrician and works with tech so we were sure we had done all we could to try to fix the situation. We turned down the bed to find the comforter was dirty as was the cover. (We have pictures). At this point we asked for a different room. We have never done that before so it was quite uncomfortable. She gave us a set of keys and said “see if this suits you”. We went to that room, TV did not work. Went back and was told “3rd times a charm”. No apology or anything. The third room was not clean either, q-tip on floor, bed had spots on comforter again. At this point we had driven 10 hours, moved three rooms so we just kept it. I arranged the bedding so the spot was at our feet. (Again, took pictures). Checked out, never a word of sorry for your inconvenience or anything. We will never stay here again.
- Catharine (10/5): Pleasure to stay - Very helpful and pleasant staff. I would recommend this hotel for your next stay
- Sydney (3/5): Dirty. Moved rooms and they are all the same. - The location was good. The front desk staff was nice and accommodating. parking was free. The rooms were not very clean at all. There was mold on the shower doors at the bottom. The mattress cover in the first room I was in was very stained. the floors in the bathroom were not clean. There was a bad smell in the hallways. I do not recommend staying here if you value a clean environment.

- RnJMurph (2/5): Will Never Stay Here Again - We have been staying at this property for 5 years on our way to NY. The most recent stop in April was horrendous. We had to call the desk from 10:30 pm to 1 am because of people partying and slamming doors. Nothing was done. As of May we are still unable to get in touch with the management and Wyndham customer service is telling us we need to contact the hotel directly as it is franchised out. DO NOT STAY HERE. Very dissatisfied with the hotel and Wyndham
- Frank (8/5): - X X
- Marlene (10/5): - All
- Tiffany (10/5): -
- David (7/5): Our room and sleep was good, except for bed sheet. - The pool was very nice and warm. The fitted sheet on the one bed was not properly installed and we had to ask for a new one and do it ourselves.
- Angie (9/5): - Awesome location and very clean
- Bill (7/5): Functional hotel that could use some maintenance. - Breakfast was good. Internet service was good. Coffee available at 4 am. Sink and tub were very slow draining, i.e. over 2 minutes each. No body wash in room 413. Room smelled like it was a smoking room and desk was told. Lots of mud from shoes throughout lobby and elevators. Elevator floors were sticky with no cleanup of floors or elevators all night (after 3 pm).
- Freeman (10/5): Good experience. - Everything Everything was excellent.
- Jeffrey (8/5): We got room keys and went to our room and room was not serviced yet! I’m not sure if we go assigned to someone else’s ro - It was a great location to suit our needs! Some things needed some attention
- Mehmet (8/5): -
- Matthew (4/5): - Location Beds was rock hard and pillows sucked
- William (3/5): - It's location was okay Cum stains on the couch.
no soaps in the bathroom.
not telling us there was a $50 deposit.
The water in the shower was cold.
- Tonya (6/5): - It was clean and comfortable I requested and was approved for early check in. Planned my trip for this and when I arrived was told they don’t have the staff for that. I was still charged for early check in as well as double charged for my stay. Dayshift desk staff weren’t very professional or accommodating
- A (2/5): - Staff was very pleasant. Very friendly The moldy smell, mildew in tub & sink. Floating particles in the pool. Stained bedding
- Margaret (4/5): Convenient but disappointing. - The beds were comfortable. We had food with us that needed refrigeration. The refrigerator did not work. We called and asked for a replacement. We were told that the hotel was full and the refrigerator could not be switched. We found out the next morning that it was not booked solid and that were not told the truth.
- julie (8/5): It was just what was needed for our quick trip to Morgantown. - Very nice and just as described. Breakfast was great and well stocked with items. Only thing that I can think of is there was hardly any hot water when showering.
- Denise (6/5): This is the first time staying in a La Quinta hotel. I’m not sure I would stay in one again. - The property was in a great location. It was close to the highway. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants. Our room was clean. The breakfast was very good. I thought the common areas, lobby, elevators, etc, needed a good cleaning. The bathroom in our room needed updating.
- Leomaris (10/5): -
- JessikaJo (10/5): - Front desk guy was very nice and welcoming. Helped me out alot. Everything was great. Staying again soon.
- Francys (8/5): -
- Peter (7/5): -
- Rob (8/5): Great location. Perfect for a weekend stay to visit college. - Perfect location to WVU Getting a little worn in the bathroom.
- Denene (7/5): - It's was a good experience They would not let me check in early
- William (10/5): -
- Samantha (3/5): I switched hotels. - The front desk lady was friendly and helpful. The lobby had a smell to it, and was small. The elevator was dirty and all smelled. Once we arrived to our floor, the odor was still present. Our room felt very small and there were 4 flies and a wasp in it. The window was left open and the room was cold. I noticed the bathroom did not feel clean. The toilet looked like it wasn’t cleaned and there was noticeable build up in the shower. I also noted a few stains on both beds.
- Theresa (10/5): - The priceless very expensive.
- Michael (10/5): -
- joann (3/5): Dont stay here. I had a hard time brushing my teeth looking at the mold around the faucet. - Nothing The bathroom was full of mold and mildew. There was a gurgling noise constantly in the bathroom. I couldn’t even shower because the water was only lukewarm. Everything was cold at breakfast including the hot food. The beds i had to climb into because they were 3 ft off the floor and very hard
- Stamper (9/5): Great - A lovely hotel at the top of a mountain. Very comfortable bed and room. I enjoyed the breakfast. I will be back There seemed to be a problem staffing the front desk. I hope they get that straightened out as it was the only bad experience.
- James (9/5): - The. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable. Room was clean, location was easy to reach. The bed was very high and difficult to get up on to.
- Colette (4/5): Hotel was nice enough for the price, rooms were clean, pool was dirty, and the hot water did not last long enough to tak - The hotel was clean overall with nice, stylish decor throughout. The all hours beverage bar was kept stocked and well maintained. The handicapped accessible room was spacious, functional, and accommodating for my needs. The pool was dirty and there was little to no hot water available when I tried to shower. An upgraded waterline system would likely resolve these issues.
- singleyd0407 (2/5): Would not recommend - Cleanliness of room was horrible! Bathroom sink faucet was dirty with buildup around it. Floors were dirty- shower dirty. Dried coffee stains down front of dresser
- Tori (3/5): Wouldn’t come back. - The location is great do what we were there for. Right off 79 close to shopping and places to eat. The furniture in the main lobby is so dirty that the top of the back rest from people pulling the chairs out is black. It felt so dirty everywhere. You could tell our room was updates not too long ago—it felt clean but the rest of the hotel felt dirty.
There was no parking after we arrived late from a baseball tournament. A trailer truck was parked on the side taking up 6 spots.
A friend checked in at 1030 PM after baseball -/reserved room weeks ago —-staff told them they didn’t have a room and they were sorry that nobody had contacted them that morning. They drove 2 hours back home just to return the next day to finish the baseball tournament. Breakfast was awful.
- Ballard (9/5): - We enjoyed the breakfast.

TV remote did not work. Went to front desk & was provided a working remote.

- Heather (10/5): Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room stayed clean. Breakfast was very good every morning. - Clean, spacious room That I couldn’t stay longer!
- John (4/5): we wont go back, only positive thing was the staff was friendly but that didn't fix the problems. - breakfast was pretty good but coffee was awful the beds was horrible, it was like sleeping on a rock, couldn't get a good night sleep at all, back and hips where in alot of pain,,we had two beds and both where the same
we went to use the pool and it was on the cold side so we didn't use it 😢
other problem wasn't the heat in the room couldn't regulate it, it was hot or cold.
- Patrick (1/5): -
- Dale (9/5): Great place to stay while travelling and at a very reasonable price. - Travelling to DC several times a year, my wife and I use LaQuinta as a good place to stop before going on. It's always clean, the staff is always pleasant, and that little breakfast lady, Donna, is always hard working and so very pleasant to talk to as she tries to keep everyone in the breakfast area happy. It's always nice, at this location, to find a number of other good restaurants close by to choose from for a good dinner after a 500-mile drive.
- Amber (2/5): We were confused by the positive reviews we read. - The location is good. Easy to find, close drive to the highway, gas stations, restaurants. Glad it was dog friendly. All the staff were kind. It was incredibly unclean, musty, and moldy. The carpets were stained and covered in construction debris. The walls were covered in a strange plaster as if to cover up old wall paper. There was mold on the AC unit and in the bathroom, shower, ceiling, and sink. There was dust on most of the surfaces. The sheets and were dingy, rough and gritty, as through there was sand in there… the common spaces were not much better, trash overflowing, smears on the elevator walls and floors, smells in the hall. We were disappointed with the breakfast, no eggs or vegetarian options. Thinned, watery coffee and juice. We were tired when we arrived but woke earlier to leave sooner.
- Crystal (7/5): - Staff was very friendly. I think it would be a good idea to have a soap dispenser by the sink. Or on the wall on the opposite side of the mirror . When I need to wash my hands I shouldn’t have to step inside the shower to use the body wash.
- Lois (8/5): -
- Caren (9/5): Fine - reliability of quality facility is still clean. but not quite as clean as it used to be.
- Kathy (9/5): - Very clean, friendly staff The water pressure was horrible and the bathroom faucet was too close to the sink bowl making it hard to wash your hand.
- Amy (7/5): - Didn’t have the breakfast. Left on the road before it was opened Nothing
- Chad (3/5): -
- Clyde (10/5): - Great hotel. Perfect location. Wonderful, helpful staff. Nothing
- Jerry (9/5): -
- Kimberly (9/5): -
- James (9/5): Accomplished what I wanted it to - Nice pool
Up to date Pool cold
Breakfast ok but not great
- Sheena (8/5): - Could have used a mini fridge in our room.
- mikaela (4/5): Hot and uncomfortable. - Breakfast staff was nice. Breakfast was good. HOT rooms. Very. Bathroom not very clean. Beds very uncomfortable.
- Anna (1/5): Terrible - Not much! Pool was not working, bedding was nasty, mold in bathroom, skirt on bed was stuck up under mattress in 1 room and the other room bedding was gross with looked like dried body fluid. Cob webs THE WORST PLACE WE HAD EVER STAYED, WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT AS SOON AS WE GOT THERE. See above
- Marie (5/5): It was okay could of been better - The location was perfect We was here for a dr appt and my mom had an accident in the bed while trying to sleep-called 3 times and the housekeeper was never given the message-when the head housekeeper came she was wonderful and very helpful.
- Leslie (7/5): - Very friendly staff. Courteous. Great breakfast. Bathroom not as clean and in good repair as advertised. NO SHOWER GEL in dispenser. No family friendly tv channels.
- Margaret (10/5): Good value - Room was very clean. Bathroom was so clean
- Loretta (10/5): -
- Dana (6/5): - The area, that it has an indoor pool and the friendliness of the front desk staff We’ve stayed there twice and neither time did they do a daily clean or restocking. We had to ask the front desk for any extra towels or things like that we needed
- Kim (4/5): -
- Natalie (7/5): - The price was exorbitant
