• elainewE3747WA (6/5): Not a "real" handicapped accessible room - I used the Fairfield Inn Pasadena for 3 nights while my home interior was being painted. I walk with a walker and asked for a handicapped room. The room was spacious enough and had a walk in shower. However, the commode was very low with standard height grab bar. It was impossible for me to get up from the toilet. My family brought me a bedside commode stand to sit over the commode so I could get up easily. There was no recliner or side chair in the room. I had to lay/sit on the bed for 3 days-very uncomfortable. Yes, we did ask for a chair for the room but was told none were available. The room was very quiet and clean. The full service breakfast was nice with nothing lacking. I recommend a handicap height commode and a recliner for the room to fulfill the identification of a truly "handicapped accessible room." Thank you for your attention to this matter.

One of the mattresses was uneven like someone broke it and the pillows were uncomfortable too. The elevator didn't work, but there was no discount on our stay. The room smelled like something was sprayed to mask cigarette smoke.

• Isaac (7/5): Smelly hotel - The location is convenient for going to Galveston. The whole hotel had a very musty smell. The rooms had a chemical-like smell mixed with this same musty odor. It was not pleasant. The breakfast was lacking. I know it's not meant to be something fancy but the waffle iron didn't work well and the refrigerator wasn't restocked while we were present. There was no online check in. This was a bit inconvenient only because no one was at the front desk to greet us. Then we had to wait to see if the rooms were ready. This was late in the day( around 5pm), not like an early check in.

• eugene (6/5): Getaway - This Fairfield hotel has been one that I have stayed in the past. Our stay was not enjoyable because of the quality of the bed. Also there was a cigarette smoking smell in our room when we checked in. Would not stay at this hotel in the future.

Both the old room and the new were half heartedly cleaned. Sheets were not changed out . There was hair and stains on the sheets. Trash in the elevator. On top of all of that the clerks at the front desk were never there when you needed them.. when you did find them they were not the kindness. You get a sense that you are inconveniencing them to ask them to do their job, this startedat check in.
• Exiledginz (10/5): One of the best. - This hotel was fantastic, the room was clean and big. The breakfast was so delicious, especially the quiches. The pool was so sparkly and very clean. I loved the fact that you can charge snacks and drinks to your room. The floor creeked a bit, we had to watch out we walked in the room because we weren't sure if the room below could hear.

• Randy (10/5): Superior Service in Stressful Times - We were in to visit family but most of the hotel guests were Houstonians who were without power due to Hurricane Beryl. Those I spoke with said the staff and accommodations had been excellent. That was our experience as well. It is refreshing to see friendly, professional service still exists.

• Joanna (8/5): - Clean hotel and room! Our rooms weren’t cleaned and our towels weren’t changed to clean ones. Even though it specifically says if you need new towels place them outside your door. Towels were picked up but new ones were never brought up.
• Teresa (8/5): Summer vacation - Check in was good and staff was friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom door wouldn’t close - like the door didn’t fit in the door frame anymore. Hotel was in a good location. We stayed 2 nights and arrived to breakfast by 8:00 each morning and there was little left of the food options. We travel often to Marriott hotels and always appreciate free breakfast. This was our first negative experience. No one was around to assist with restocking.
• Destiny (4/5): I wouldn’t book again - Location and breakfast were good. No greeting while entering or checking in. The first room we originally were given was on the second floor. As we entered the had a mildew / wet dog smell even though it says no pets. We had a long drive so we immediately wanted to shower. The shower head was broken and barely spraying, it was more of a stream and you had to stand right underneath the stream of water. We always wear socks and/or slides so we don’t have to put our bare foot on the floors. Well, as we took out slides off and stepped onto the floor with our feet, the floor was wet. We thought maybe it was just that spot but as we walked around so was the rest of the carpet. That explained the wet mildew smell. Within 30-40 mins of us being in the room, 3 of the 4 of us had been bitten on our foot and ankles and had visibly new bite marks on us. We talked to the desk clerk and told her about the wet floor and asked if it was just cleaned and she said no and had no explanation of why floor was soaked. She didn’t have a solution for the broken shower head and didn’t seem to believe us about the bites until we showed her on the fresh bites on all of us. After seeing the bites she was then concerned. She said we couldn’t get a refund for the $314 we spent for two days to go to another hotel but she offered to switch us to another floor/room. The room on the third floor still had a smell but the shower worked, the floor wasn’t wet and we weren’t getting bitten anymore. Also, they only had two small wash clothes in the room and 4 drying towels and we had to request more towels since we had 4 people but we had to use the two small ones and then go trade the 2 dirty ones for clean ones?? Like I said the breakfast was good and the location was great but I would not return to this hotel in the future.

• Bakinam (8/5): Good but their breakfast is not at all - The room was so clean and nice The breakfast was so bad, doesn't have a lot of options and almost no food.

• Michelle (10/5): Loved the nice clean hotel with friendly staff! - Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. Room was very comfortable! AC was cold! Check in was an easy process! Free water at front counter was a nice bonus after coming in from the Strawberry Festival. Bathroom door was hard to close. Needs to be shaved off at bottom.
