We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and they made towel swans for on the bed when we checked in and put rose petals around them and in the bathroom! It was adorable. Bed and pillows were comfortable, AC was awesome, everything was great. Had a lovely stay.

• Aryana (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, approximately 10 minutes of driving from he phuket old town or phuket central shppoing mall. The pool was really nice and clean. It was often completely empty and we had the whole facility to ourselves. We enjoyed the breathtaking views and the birds singing while we were swimming. Cons: 1. The furniture was a bit old. 2. The neighborhood is not suitable for someone who is seeking a partying experience. But if you are okay with taking bolt and grab rides to touristic destinations, it will suit you well.

• Jacqueline (6/5): - We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad. Het hotel is goed als je de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding bekijkt. We zijn er 2 weken geweest en wat opviel is dat je wel echt de kamers aan het zwembad moet boeken wil je een fijn verblijf hebben. Er zijn bij het zwembad geen parasols of toilet. Ondanks dat er elke dag werd schoongemaakt, werd dit niet erg grondig gedaan. De gym is aanwezig, maar geen airco. De locatie is geweldig als je van rust houd. Je kan met de taxi overal naartoe en er zijn een paar restaurantjes in de straat. Maar ook via Grab is kan je van alles laten bezorgen. Als je van drukte houdt dan moet je ergens anders verblijven. Al met al een prima verblijf. Trouwens geen haardroger beschikbaar, mocht je die nodig hebben moet je die zelf meenemen.
• 691AbdullahA (6/5): LOTS OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT - Baba House is an excellent location for guests to access Jonker street and other central sites in Melaka. I'm honestly quite disappointed at a few things. I found some front office/reception staff not very welcoming. I recommend management train them to smile more and when it is not peak, at night, for example to say good evening or at least acknowledge guests. At low peak hour walkabout vs sitting on the reception stool, say hello. We stayed in a room for 3 and it was so spacious. We wondered why the hotel doesn't add a couch or a small seating space. There was more floor space than comfort. Do something so you can charge more for the room vs leaving so much space for guests to do cartwheels in? While I respect that weekends are peak hour. Prepare. We had to ask housekeeping to clean our room when we returned at 4pm. When we ask for water, it was not sent to us. When we asked for water at the hall from housekeeping they said they cannot give more out. The weather is so hot, come up with a solution to give guests water. This isn't acceptable. Management may want to look into the smell perhaps coming from sewage or drain. It is quite strong at the lobby and on our level during the day. Checkout was efficient and we appreciate the complimentary drinks. Having said that, staff at the guest parking area, restaurant and housekeeping are friendly and take the time to smile and acknowledge guests. Thank goodness for that, we are afterall on a holiday.

• zoes949 (8/5): Great standard and very tidy rooms, Ideal location too. - I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and was very impressed by the swim up pools attached to the rooms, made the hotel a little more significant, the views from the rooms are off the mountains which make the sunsets lovely from the rooms. Great location very close to the night markets that are very popular in Phuket. Would stay again if needed.
• paraneek2019 (10/5): Family Room of 4 - Travelled with my husband and two daughters. At first, I had doubt about its location since it locates around 5 km out of town ( we rent a car anyway). It turned out to be one of my luckiest decision ever made. Big room, huge pool, decent breakfast. Very quiet and comfort beds. Owner really cared and voiced put about neighborhood. Strongly recommend!

• majunardzaid (10/5): on business trip - GoAir operate daily flight from Mumbai to Phuket (spell Poo-KET). Grab this chance to fly from Mumbai and got this hotel on biz trip. The hotel is located in town (I would call outskirt of Town). We didn't have much expectation of this hotel since we are on biz trip that we need to commute to Central Mall and King Power. The hotel was just too good for the price. HUGE room. There even have 3, 4 bed rooms for family (but I just traveled with my colleage). The bed was 5 stars. Long pool, breakfast was a bit less selection but enough for to grab and go. Service was very good compared to the limitation resource they have. You need to rent a car or a bike if you stay in this hotel (or any hotel in Phuket) because taxi in this island is so costly.

• Sachintha_Jayasanka (8/5): Worth for your money - Hotel has a swimming pool, gym and breakfast includes eggs, toast, rice, sausages and drinks. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. About 100 meters from the hotel (towards main road) you can find a place where you can rent a scooter for 200-250 baht a day and you don’t need to have a driving license to get the bike. Otherwise you can use taxies for transportation but it is very expensive in Phuket. Very calm and quiet place.

I had a good chance to stay there only one night. Hotel arranged all my request for honeymoon set up and free late check out until 12:30 hrs. All were good during my stay. But, only one thing is on departure date. I not happy with the staff. I got free late check out until 12:30 hrs. But, staff called to my room at 12:00 hrs. as she needs us to check out on time. I told her that I got free late check out until 12:30 hrs. After that around 12:20 hrs. my partner went to lobby to pick hair dryer up from receptionist and staff said to him that you are too late, please get ready for check out. We went down for check out process at 12:35 hrs. We not happy with the staff who checked us out on that day. Her voices and her acts very strong and unfriendly. The staff should know the polite way to communicate with the customer. I do understand her point she might need the room for next arrival guest but, I think the staff should have the better way to talk with the guest. Only security guy who stand by at that night very friendly and very nice. Thanks him for awesome service and big smile to us. Small thing sometime it means big for someone.

• Simon3190 (10/5): Great introduction to Phuket - Baba house was our first stop in Phuket and we cannot picked better place. Even though the location is not the best, we loved locals around us and if you rent a scooter it is perfect. I lask have to thank to Baba team as they gave us few great recommendations and also when we arrived really tired they gave us keys to pool area and tried to make pur room as fast as possible for earlier check-in. The only downside if I would have to pick one would be that cleaning ladies are quite loud in the morning and we get waked up like two times at 7 am due to the noise they made. Overall great stay and I can more than recommend staying at Baba house!

• steven_nagoya (10/5): Treated like family. Excellent base for Phuket - There is a bit of a story as to why I booked a family stay at Baba House over their busiest time of the year. I first tried Air BnB, and booked several locations, with each owner not replying to the booking. I then did a search for small/boutique hotels which were away from the busy areas of Karon/Kata and Patong Beaches. Baba House was the most attractive of all results which were shown. So, I booked and was fortunate they had a room large enough for 4 beds. I didn't have a high expectation for Baba House, as I have never been to Thailand before, and didn't know what to expect other than what was shown on TA. However, with low expectations, I was super happy with my decision to stay with Baba House. The lobby is small but cosy and full of historical photos of Phuket. The check in was easy and the front desk staff were very friendly, more than I expected. We were very happy with the size of the room and its cleanliness. Nothing with neglected or worn out. The toilet, sink and shower were all modern, and the shower's water pressure was just right. The view was fine, overlooking the neighbourhood and the long pool. The pool looked inviting, and my two children enjoyed it. The water was a comfortable temperature. What made the stay extra special was the owners and brothers Koi and Ans. Ans first started up a conversation about the history of Phuket and the immigration of Chinese to the island. As an history lover, I listened to everything he told me, and enjoyed the depth of his stories. Koi, who lived abroad for 16 years, also told stories about the history of Phuket, as well as some of the best places to see as a family. Baba House also can book tours, make delivery food orders, book taxis, or pretty much anything you need. There was a problem with the tour we booked, and the Baba staff were on our side when it came to making a complaint to the tour company. The lady who assisted us with the tour (I cannot remember her name) was able to secure a partial refund from the tour operator due to our complaint. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant, they recommend an Italian and Thai restaurant which can quickly deliver to the hotel. We ordered at least once a day from each of the places, and we were very happy with the food price, speed of delivery and response to an error in one of the orders. We actually really enjoyed the food a lot! Being there for 6 nights, it felt the time went quickly, as we felt we were treated like family or old friends. I would like to mention Bo and Xier, who both work at the front desk, who were super helpful and friendly, and treated us so well. I would have to say that Baba House is now in my list of top 3 hotels. Their strength is in the way they treat their guests, having clean and fresh rooms, and creating a comfortable base for tourists.

• Heaven_Lee2012 (10/5): Very comfortable hotel in a local residential area - We didn't go to the beach for this trip, just had a very good experience to stay in the local vicinity, a different way of enjoying Phuket. We walked in the city, to feel the way of the locals commemorate their beloved King Bhumibol, and at the same time they celebrate the annual vegetarian festival.

Location is central although there is not much within walking distance so would be tricky to stay here without car or scooter hire. The pool was nice and the rooms were big. I recommend top floor as there is a decent view from the balcony. Wifi could be a bit better as it was a bit patchy at times. We had an issue with our first room but the staff helped us move quickly and were very helpful. They offered some great tips about things to do nearby. Booking was easy and the recommended airport transfer was really efficient given our late arrival. Check-in was quick and easy. Overall great value and I'd stay there again.
• bernso31 (10/5): 2 Perfect Nights - first timers in Phuket - We choose this hotel because of the room size and where it is situated. If your family is planning to go for tours to Phi Phi Islands, the Tiger Kingdom or just spend a few hours in Patong Beach then you'll find this place is perfect without breaking your wallet. It is quite too!!! Baba House is clean, practical, the beds and pillows are perfect! Transportation wise we use Grabcar, but preferably either you rent out a scooter or car then it will be perfect!. • thoms221 (10/5): Outstanding! - Stayed at the Baba House Hotel for over a week. I cannot say enough good things about the owner and staff. They all did al they could to accommodate their guests. The hotel is clean, the pool refreshing, and the room came with breakfast. Breakfast is simple eggs, rice, fruit, toast, coffee, juice and nourishing. You have to secure a taxi to go out and about but can also rent a scooter for 300 baht per day. Great hotel and staff.

• Jackson (8/5): Basic,clean and affordable comfort - Short stay before heading to the airport for a late night flight. Room was sparsely decorated but with ample space. Bed was comfortable. Having two separated blankets for the king bed was a practical touch. TV was small and far from the bed with very basic channels. Bathroom tiles, grout and fixtures are showing wear and tear. Overall a very quiet and restful experience. Didn't try the pool or gym. To my horror, the balcony door cannot be locked! Luckily we were only there for a short stay and the room was on the 3rd floor. I hope the hotel will get all balcony doors checked and fixed if needed.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Clean large room close to Central Festival - We booked a family double room. We were initially allocated a twin room but the hotel was quick to arrange housekeeping to push the beds together and change the bed linen to double sheet & duvet. The room size was great. The only downside was that the shower had no hot water - only lukewarm water. The pool was good for lap swimming and luckily we had it to ourselves, as it's not very wide. The basic buffet breakfast consisted of fried eggs, fried rice, cornflakes, toast, bananas & yogurt, which was sufficient for us. The location was convenient for our needs - in between Chalong and Central Festival shopping centre. However it may not be so convenient for others who do not have a car. The hotel does offer a shuttle service to Central Festival though. We got a great deal via hotels.com (57% discount) so was reasonable value for the price we paid.

• Radwa (10/5): Great stay , Nice Hotel - A very nice and value for money hotel, very nice, helpful and friendly staff , they do all that they can to please us and they recommended very nice beaches and attractions to visit also the tour desk and motor bikes rental from the front desk was a great thing to have. Good location to explore all phuket but by motor bikes although slightly away from the beach , getting there wasn't a great deal as we enjoyed the bike ride on the roads through the jungles and up the hills. A clean room, large and comfortable room although the bed is quiet hard but the overall room was very good. The pool was a nice addition and view. The hotel manager and owner were realy kind and very friendly and welcomed us a lot . Strongly recommend the hotel and definitely would stay there again.
• Cindy (10/5): Great value, excellent staff - Excellent value for the money. Can accommodate 1-4 people. Motor bikes available to rent on property and everything is just 20-30 minutes away. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff is wonderful

They offer motorbike rentals on site so it is easy to get everywhere. 20-30 mins from everywhere. Clean rooms, comfortable king size beds and an additional mantras/bed for additional people. You can fit 1-4 people in the king + room. Pool access is unique as you open the patio door and have private steps into the pool. Though this place is a little inland it is centrally located so you can get to Rawai or Patong-- whatever you fancy. Good value for the money.

• Daniel (8/5): Family Getaway - Family stay, children (2) loved the bunk beds in our room setup. Pool/poolside isn't large but warmed up nicely by late morning, lap swim-able and shallow section for children's play. As of early 2016 not much nearby for food/play options, but only short walk south to convenience store. With your own transportation, several central or southern beaches and lookout points 20-40 min drive. Plan your transportation needs unless you are staying in or only need very local food options.
