Guest Reviews
- Jeanne (8/5): - They went out of their way to meet my dietary restrictions. Every one was very nice. the first night two of my pillows had an odd chemical smell, but they resolved this problem the next morning.
- Wendy (7/5): We had a good time at our visit to Cape May and the Harrison was nice but I expected more. - The location was great. The afternoon tea concept is great. Room was nice Parking, Breakfast selections, staff personalities. The afternoon tea did not accommodate all the houses that were able to stop by and partake. Service at breakfast lacked personality. Finding staff was difficult, even with the bell.
- Christine (5/5): All in all we loved our visit to Cape May. - Location, the breakfast was good , the brandy and Sherry were nice little bonuses. The room had a very musty smell and was very damp. We did have the air conditioner on to help with the humidity and heat.
We’ve stayed in other B and B and had great conversations with the owners who ran the place. We were shocked to find that the staff were not local or that the owners were not on site. However the staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We did not bring up our issues for a couple of reasons: 1. our stay was short and it would have been more hassle to deal with. 2. It appeared that the B and B was at capacity and again it would have been more of a hassle to change rooms if there was one available. 3. The owners were not the ones on site running the place so we felt less of a connection, and again we didn’t want to bother with it for such a short amount of time.
A few suggestions, the bed was very uncomfortable for us, maybe it is time to switch it out? We were not told about the refrigerator in the house we were staying in, we happened to discover it late in the second day. At other B and B we’ve stayed at there were more options for coffee creamers ( flavored) just a little something that made our stay more enjoyable in the past.
- Martha (10/5): - The breakfast used fresh food and was very well balanced. The presentation was appealing.
- Nancy (9/5): Perfect! - Great staff - kind and helpful! Breakfast were absolutely delicious! Afternoon teas with the desserts were wonderful as well! Cakes were scrumptious! Would gave liked a little table in bathroom for a place to put our toiletries but otherwise it was great.
- Marilyn (10/5): Friendly staff and awesome holiday experience. We met fellow friendly occupants. Great pre Christmas experience!!! - Awesome breakfast and friendly staff N/A
- Rodrigues (10/5): Great atmosphere - Very cozy Every thing was great
- Margaret (10/5): - Breakfast was very good and attractively presented. The furnishings and decor of the Harrison Inn tastefully reflect the Victorian period (with modern conveniences quietly interspersed).
- Starr (8/5): Great location and comfortable rooms - Great location, room, mattress, linens, quiet. Breakfast was a bit dismal and afternoon tea was disappointing.
- Kathleen O (10/5): - We just enjoyed a long weekend at The Harrison. The staff was friendly and helpful; breakfast each day was different and delicious. There were helpful additions like available umbrellas. The only negative I have is that there were bright lights on the front of the building shining on our windows, and no room-darkening window treatment. The drapes were pretty, but some room-darkening shades would be helpful!
- Kelsie (10/5): - The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and the property itself is beautiful! The breakfast is always delicious, and the after noon tea with fresh baked pastries is such a treat. This is our second stay and we already can’t wait to come back.
- Christina (10/5): - Everything was so beautiful! Very Modern, staff was nice, great location! The mattress and pillows could have been much better quality.
- Jean (8/5): - Particularly liked: a. Afternoon teas and Breakfasts. b. Historic area/quiet. c. Beautiful old Victorian home.
Not liked: No parking on-site
- Michelle (9/5): -
- mona (8/5): Beautiful and lovely staff with great staff! Afternoon tea is amazing! - The property was beautiful, Wonderfully located near the beach and love the amenities. Loved afternoon tea and desserts! Kinda outdated toilets but very clean
- Seema Gandhi (9/5): - Location, amazing breakfast
- Bryan (10/5): -
- Wendy (6/5): - Need upgrades in room furnishings and carpet. No daily room attention until after 4 pm per experience Mason Dixon room
- Deborah (10/5): Excellent B&B - Loved it all! The breakfasts made by Chef Kamala were fantastic. Also, the access to the free bikes, beach chairs and beach towels were a huge bonus. Amazing location. Nothing
- tomay (8/5): - i will stay again
- Panagiotis (10/5): - Magnificent place! We will be back.
- Marnie (8/5): - The property was beautiful and the food and staff were wonderful. Our only minor concern was the parking was quite a walk which normally wouldn’t be an issue but it was 110 degrees out and when we got to our room the air conditioning was not working. Our room was on the third floor so it amplified the issue. The staff worked diligently to rectify the issue and by the next day we were more comfortable.
- DrTed (10/5): - Excellent overall
- Ellen (10/5): - Lovely B&B. Very close to beach, restaurants, and shopping. Nice staff. Breakfasts huge. Wonderful front porch with rocking chairs. Recommend.
- Eric (9/5): Fantastic Stay in Cape May. - This is a beautiful and comfortable B&B in an excellent location in Cape May. The breakfasts were creative and delicious, and afternoon tea was a treat. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It is an easy walk to the beach and the Washington Street mall. We would have loved to stay here longer and would definitely consider returning. The water in the shower could have been hotter, and the bed was a little soft for my taste, but still comfortable.
- Jose (10/5): -
- Anna (8/5): Charming and comfortable, but a few modern touches like electric outlets on either side of the bed, could go a long way. -
- Mark (10/5): - Very enjoyable

- Sally (7/5): Good - Location The bathroom didn’t have much space at all
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blower (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was terrific and the location was great. Close to shopping and the beach
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great. There are actually two inns side by side. One has the dining room and the other has a boutique. You can access both front porches to relax on and there is a lovely garden on the side to relax in. This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and now I'll never go back to just a hotel. I would highly recommend the Harrison. It's close to the beach and the town. They also include bikes, beach towels and beach chairs with your stay. Absolutely everything you need. Oh and high tea is wonderful. Take advantage of all the Inn has to offer. Walking distance to parking but I lucked out in finding a space just down from the inn.
- Nicole (9/5): I will definitely recommend and stay again!! - Loved the location and the relaxed atmosphere. The green smoothie on Saturday morning was amazing. Love that they also have afternoon tea. The bed was a bit more firm than I would have liked so I didn’t get great sleep but it was still amazing. Wish there was a healthy option as well at tea time besides cake/cupcake/cookies
- Spencer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): - A
- Martina (10/5): - Beautiful bed and breakfast. The staff made such a difference - they were wonderful, and the home made breakfasts were delicious!
- Vicki (10/5): My stay was excellent - My favorite was the breakfast and the afternoon tea offered from 4-5pm was a surprise that I didn’t realize came included with the stay. I loved the food
- Bruce (8/5): Very good -
- Joshua (10/5): - Lovely place with nice rooms. We just visited last weekend, (5-7 April 2024). Room was nice, very clean, and just what the wife & I were looking for. Staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. We stayed out a little late Saturday night, so I went down about 30 minutes before breakfast was ending and the staff was very accommodating, bringing up 2 trays of that morning's breakfast to our room. And... when we left later that morning, we realized we had left jewelry behind, and when we called, they actually found it, and mailed it to us, so they were very honest too, which I appreciated. We have left behind things in other hotels and "no one saw anything", so we really appreciated that.
They have sherry & port for sampling/tasting all evening, and have a nice tea time around 4 pm, with coffee, tea, and cookies. We really enjoyed our 2 nights, and will be back again.
Walking distance to shopping (washington mall?), a number of restaurants, and we walked down to the beach/boardwalk, probably about 10 minutes away as well. Saturday afternoon we ended up walking into Carney's, across from the water, and stayed for hours due to happy hour specials & had a great time, for less :-) Live music, $5 crushes, mistakes may have been made.
- Susan (10/5): - Clean, friendly, and very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Tea was a delight at the end of the day.
- Howard (10/5): - Modern approach to Victorian character. Nice people.
- Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful - Location was great, staff and property was exceptional !! NA
- Anonymous (10/5): Amazing Inn, will definitely recommend if you want a luxurious stay in Cape May! - Beautiful property - tastefully decorate from the lobby to the rooms.
- Begley (9/5): Superb -
- William (10/5): A lovely weekend of beach time and bicycle exploring - The Harrison Inn is lovely and conveniently located less than two blocks to beach and convention center. A hearty breakfast and generous afternoon tea are both included in the price, as is beach chairs and bicycles. The chairs and bikes were a most welcome additional accoutrement All was wonderful
- Judith (10/5): Wonderful! - The Harrison is wonderful! Breakfast each morning was particularly delightful! We will eagerly stay here again!
- Nan (10/5): Perfect weekend - I would stay there again just to eat Kamala’s baked goods
The room would not have been any cleaner. I would give this BandB an A+
- Annamarie (10/5): - Beautiful inn, breakfast was amazing! Afternoon tea was spectacular!
- Richard (10/5): - The Harrison was clean, comfortable. They offered an outstanding breakfast and it was conveniently located.
- Pattie (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Beautiful location with excellent service. - Exceptional breakfast with wonderful service. Parking was challenging.
- Anonymous (10/5): Loved the B&B ! Staff was very helpful and would definitely go back ! - Great location and extremely accommodating! The stairs if someone is elderly and has difficulties with climbing stairs it could be a problem .
- Lisa (10/5): My stay was perfect - I loved everything about this place! Beautiful, clean, perfect location and the staff was amazing!!
From the managers to the cleaning crew!
Everyone made our stay to notch . Breakfast was not only beautifully displayed but absolutely delicious.
I’m looking forward to going back !
- Julie (5/5): We enjoyed ourselves but clearly issues need to be addressed. - Location was good along with breakfast, accommodated my gluten free allergy. First, there was no way to speak with a person before arrival with questions. It was unclear on the website and emails from the B&B where free parking was located and we paid for daily parking. There was no attempt to reimburse when this was clearly the Harrison's fault and were just told, "Sorry"...
One of us had a bicycle that needed to have brakes adjusted and seat fixed .We know how to adjust bike seat but it continued to fall while riding. We informed staff when we arrived back with bicycles.
- Valentina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Albert (10/5): I would stay there again anytime. - Breakfast was excellent and location was great 👍🏻
- melissa (10/5): - This Harrison was amazing, I wish we had more time to stay! I would highly recommend, very clean and, the staff was very professional and courteous!
- Mark (10/5): Extremely romantic 2 days in a beautiful B^B - Amazing breakfast and afternoon tea/coffee/cake options, as well as brandy and cognac in the evenings. Free loaner bikes and beach chairs, towels, etc. made the stay quite easy and enjoyable. Price was high compared to stays in similar properties/locations in the past.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Terrilynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beyzarov (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (7/5): I’ve always liked B&B I’ve stayed at many up and down the coast. This one was overpriced - Morning Breakfast Too much money for just a room.?
- Angie (10/5): Excellent - Excellent, professional staff. Very prompt and courteous.
- Anonymous (9/5): We had a wonderful stay at your beautiful B&B. - The location was in a perfect area convenient to the beach and downtown. We parked our car and never used it again until we left. N/A
- Thomas (10/5): great week end - staff was very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful no car parking free lot was a 20 minute walk
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Monica (10/5): We had a relaxing stay and were very impressed with the B&B. It was expensive but the details given to your comfort - It was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The staff was very attentive, and the breakfast menu was varied and absolutely delicious. We each received a fruit/veggie drink and fruit to eat before breakfast was served. We were a block away from the beach and from Washington Street Mall. The location was incredible! There was nothing not to like. Everything was perfect.
- Jie (7/5): overall is a good stay - location is ideal! free bicycle offering on site is a big plus. breakfast is not as good as expected. room decoration is bit old. plastic flower is cheap at this high-end facility?
- Andrew (10/5): - Amazing staff and superb cleanliness
- Elizabeth (10/5): - We spent our minimoon at the Harrison, it was unbelievable. Very very clean and the breakfast every morning was custom ordered to fit our dietary needs. Conveniently located near all shops and the beach, I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone!
- Team (10/5): - Staff is cheerful and attentive, but my personal highlight is the 5 star restaurant quality breakfast that is served. I'd go back just for that.
- Katherine (8/5): - Staff could not be more accommodating and attentive. They should be commended.
- Gus (8/5): Really nice property. Some minor things to be corrected. - Breakfast was excellent. Brandy was delish. Tea and cookies & cake in the afternoon was nice. Clean room and home. Bicycles were old and handlebars dirty. TV remote felt slimy. A guest left an empty beer bottle on the porch of the Pharos and staff did not see it to remove it.
- Adele (7/5): Well we loved Cape May. - The breakfast was delicious. The only thing was that we had to stay on the third floor. With being hard to walk, it took away most of the pleasure being there Staying on the second floor instead of the third floor
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - location and staff, available bicycles and breakfast included. photo appears more modern than actual. bed was too short due to the footboard.
- Alexis (10/5): - As a solo traveler, I felt very safe and welcomed. Great location to walk to the beach, yoga, shops, and great restaurants.
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
