- Bart (10/5): Quiet and pleasant. - The location is great and within walking distance of a Woolworths and Virgin Active gym. The proprietor, Jamie, goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Rooms were clean and well-equipped for self-catering. It's quiet and peaceful and great value.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable and equipped with electric blankets—a wonderful touch. What truly made the stay special was our host, Jamie MacLeod. He was incredibly professional and friendly, ensuring we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet conveniently within walking distance of the Victory Park Shopping Centre. I highly recommend staying here. None

Wir waren in den Sunflower Villas, sind schon etwas älter und es bräuchte etwas Unterhalt, auch der Pool ist nichtmehr ganz so einladend.

Very good value for money, we were pleasantly surprised! - What we liked especially was the ease of communication with the host, who was very nice, responsive, and easygoing! We were very comfortable and slept like babies! The only thing that might improve the overall experience is the potential availability of the key for each person, for us it was nevertheless very easy to navigate and the host provided us with extra keys once he learned that we are on different schedules even though we are accomodated together :)

Owner let us stay later so we wouldn't wait long hours at the airport, which I'm very grateful as I'm travelling with a 90 yrs dad who has short memory congnitive problems. Noisy water pump - constantly trigger off and on with intermittent intervals. My booking request for 2 single beds upon arrival was not provided, but we agree with other arrangements.

It's very close to the shops and in a beautiful, safe neighborhood, with good security The host misread the booking, thought it was a single person booking, but it was in fact a booking for my husband and me. There were no plates or mugs in the self catering unit The kettle was broken. Although crockery was supplied and the kettle replaced quickly, it should have been checked before we arrived. The unit was tired and an upgrade is needed eg The walls and ceilings were dirty, light switches cracked, the bathroom basin was cracked. The taps in the shower were not working properly. No showergel or shampoo was supplied, which is standard in most guest houses. The bed was too small for us.. My husband's feet were dangling over the bottom of the bed.

Jamie was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. It was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to visit again!

- Lunat (7/5): Moonflower is great. - Spacious Clean All amenities including dryer and dishwasher Beautiful outdoors Strategic location next to dischem and woolworths food and Pick n Pay. Clean fully stocked kitchen utensils. IRON AND HAIRDRYER. Well lit and ample sun 🌞 in the apartment. Safe and secure. Main bedroom didn't have: * bedside table. * tissue box No waste paper bins in the bedrooms. 1 Bathroom with a very small shower. Shower head needs replacement seems blocked. The bath tubs taps were broken. Pipes made a hollow noise when flowing. No towel bars or towel hangers in this bathroom. 2nd bathroom shower drain was blocked but was repaired immediately on complaint. Scissor needed in kitchen. No dustbin lid in kitchen. Dining room chairs need to be washed or reupholstered. The gate closes too rapidly when pressing remote.

- Meagan (9/5): Lovely weeks stay at the Moonflower Apartment - The location was excellent and the hosts were very friendly and communicative. The apartment was spacious, serviced daily, and laundry could be washed at an extra affordable cost. The garden was lovely to sit and enjoy lunch/coffee outside, view the birds and interact with the host's kitty clan. Provided a great space for me to work for the week. The beds are quite soft, and I prefer a firmer bed, but if you like a soft bed, this won't be a problem.

- Stoltzsp (8/5): These Cottages are comfortable - If you are looking for decent self catering apartment in this part of Johannesburg then Moonflower cottages is a good choice. There are a lot of self catering places being advertised (with seemingly good ratings) but sadly a lot of these places seem to attract a specific budget market, so it is nice to find a place that actually looks like the photos.. Internet access is pretty decent, so we were able to make some zoom business calls, which is great as some venues often provide a functional but restricted service. previous guests had smoked in the rooms and this can be a huge cause of discomfort for non-smoking guests or those travellers that have some medical issues ( ie lungs due the covid). The host was quick to accommodate us, and confirmed that they had already started to sanitise those cottages, so all good. The room was clean, but curtains/ blinds a tad dusty- not a serious issue, but something that can be improved. Cottages are nicely furnished, that said, a bit of modernizing will make this a great place to stay again.

The mall within walking distance was convenient. A comfortable stay! Stairs to climb to get to the bedroom and bathroom downstairs in my cottage was fine for me but may not suit everyone..

- Wentworth (9/5): It was really a haven after a delayed journey and Charlotte was an absolute angel. - Location was excellent, despite not having a car could easily walk to the shops. Loadshedding was hardly noticeable thanks to the inverter... a Godsend! The doors need a bit of maintenance - we thought a door was locked, but was just really tricky to open :). Also, the bathroom and bedroom doors don't close flush, and are knocked about in the doorjambs - but only on a windy night.
