• Dave (9/5): Host was very friendly and accommodating. Location is on the outskirts of Franschoek town centre, but is walkable in app - Free parking, quiet location, outside space, large bed A little short on electrical sockets. Some minor disturbance from building works being conducted at the weekend.
• Jan (6/5): It did not really meet our expectations, but it was not too bad - Breakfast was not included. The size of the rooms where quite good, beds were comfortable. Air-conditioning was a bit ineffective and quite loud, shower temperature regulation was very inefficient. Fridge in the room was quite loud and not very nice. There was a tree in front of the room, which was constantly hitting the roof in wind conditions and was disturbing our attempt to sleep. All in all the rooms where quite dated and could need a brush up or renovation.

We arrived quite early and just hoped to park our car with the luggage but could check in much earlier. Just some walking minutes to the main road with all coffees. Nothing to do with the host and apartment but we had a midnight mosquito hunt 😑

• Shona (7/5): Lovely stay and Franschhoek itself was idyllic. - Location, the size and garden area We noticed a slight damp smell throughout our stay, which I noticed had transferred to some of our clothes when we reached our next accommodation.
• Rob (10/5): An absolute jewel of a property in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood. - What an absolute jewel of a property in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood within easy, safe walking distance to the picturesque village centre where a plethora of bars, coffee shops, eateries, shops and the fabulous TukTuk microbrewery (historic beers and exceptional food!). This 3-unit property is set in beautiful well-maintained gardens with a lovely plunge pool and off-street secure parking. Each self-contained unit in the cottage had a private patio and we hardly noticed the other guests as they went about their day. The property itself is generously apportioned with all you could need for your stay. Super-comfy and fresh bed, linen and pillows and spacious bathroom with complementary products. Instructions on how to get to and access the property were clear and concise - very helpful when you're on a grand driving tour! The property is also within a 20 minute stroll of the Franschhoek Wine Tram depot (a tour that must be done). We loved this place and have no hesitation recommending Eight on Tuin. Thanks to the owners for keeping the property in such a welcoming, cosy and cared-for state. Having to leave!

До центра Франсхука минут 15 пешком. Утром ездили на машине туда на завтрак. Хотелось бы чтобы дверь в туалет была полноценная и плотно закрывалась.

Die Anlage ist klein und familiär, die Abstimmung zum Check In hat super einfach über WhatsApp stattgefunden und wir konnten flexibel in die Zimmer.
• JAY (7/5): Fair value for money. - Location is great, great value for money as far as location is concerned. Comfortable room. It appeared that there was a timer on the water. We did not have any water early in the morning and tried to contact the owner who regrettably did not respond. At 7am sharp the water came back on. And there was no water shortage in the area. Water should not be put on a timer when you book out a place. So this was the single point of dissatisfaction from our side. Other than this the stay was pleasant.

Unfortunately we had to move after 1 night due to an emergency plumbing issue they had, but the owner was very good and understanding about it, provided a refund with no issues - good customer service!

When I asked for advice about a good laundry service in town, Elaine arranged that they came to pick up our laundry! Small plunge pool with lounge chairs in garden. Very nice place, walking distance to restaurants (can highly recommend Epice) and supermarkets.
