• David (9/5): Hermanus - nah am Cliff Path und per Auto zum City Center - Tolles „Anwesen“. Erdende Atmosphäre. Schöne Zimmer. Angenehmer Pool. Tanja und Gerry kümmern sich gut um ihr Gäste. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker, teils mit selbst gebackenen Brot. Man ist schnell mit dem Auto im City Center (5 min). Wie viele Guesthouses in Südafrika: doch recht hellhörig. Je nach Gäste Verhalten kann das schon sehr stören. Gerade wenn Gäste um 1 Uhr morgens nach Hause kommen und die Tür nicht auf und zuschließen können. Dafür können die Hosts am Ende nichts.

Extrem sauber, in ruhiger Lage - Zentrum aber zu Fuss in 1/4 Stunde pber den wunderschönen „Cliffpath“ erreichbar. Liegt in einem sehr ruhigen Villenviertel. Tolles Zimmer mit grosser Terrasse. Nichts, ear perfekt.

• Denton (8/5): Good clean property with freindly hosts but quite pricy - The hosts were friendly when we checked in and the process was seamless. Location is good and easy to find. Lovely house with nice pool area and safe parking is available. Room 1 also has access to a nice outdoor area where one can sit but there is no view. We travel a lot and sleep in many hotels and guesthouses. Room 1 is quite small for the price you pay. One can get a much bigger room for that price. It seems as if it was a single room that was turned into a double room. There is also no aircon in the room with only a fan available and no window in the bathroom although the bathroom is very modern. Once again, for the price we paid, the aircon at least should be standard. You have to drive to the town area as it is too far to walk.
• L Greg (10/5): Little Gem of Hermanus - The fact it was close to town centre and restaurants as well as the beachfront. I have no dislikes at all ! Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating. If I had to complain about 1 thing it would be no Nescafe instant coffee. Yes a very stupid complaint but I did miss the instant cup of coffee when I woke up, as plunger, for me, is a bit harsh on my stomach.

The hosts were very warm and welcoming and the property and room were very clean with everything one would need. It’s better to have a car when you are on the property because the town Center is around 15 mins walk. All in all, really nice place and friendly folks. Highly recommended. • Frank (10/5): - Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt bei Gerry und Tanja. Die Unterkunft ist sauber, die Betten bequem und die Dusche hat einen ordentlichen Wasserstrahl. Auch beim Frühstück - es gibt ein Buffet mit kalten Speisen sowie eine kleine Karte für warme Speisen, die frisch zubereitet werden - hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Darüber hinaus sind die beiden Gastgeber sehr hilfsbereit und immer für ein nettes Gespräch zu haben. Von uns also eine klare Empfehlung!

• Siggi K. (10/5): Die angenehmste Unterkunft auf unserer Reise entlang der Garden Route - Das Gasthaus Villa Venusta, geführt von einem Schweizer Ehepaar, hat einen ganz besonderen Charme. Die Herzlichkeit mit der wir empfangen wurden und die Atmosphäre des Hauses sind ganz besonders. Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an sehr wohl gefühlt. Leider mussten wir schon nach zwei Tagen weiterziehen. Sollten wir noch einmal nach Hermanus kommen, dann ganz bestimmt wieder in die Villa Venusta.

Nous étions arrivés bien après l'heure normale de check in suite à des problèmes de batterie sur le portable qui gérait le GPS mais nos hôtes ont fait l'effort de nous attendre (j'en profite pour m'excuser encore de mon retard) Le reste était à l'avenant, des hôtes aux petits soins,un excellent petit-déjeuner et la meilleure omelette aux champignons de toute l'Afrique du Sud. Je n'ai pas vu de baleines à Hermanus.😥🤣

It has a lovely outside area to relax by the pool. The room was lovely, clean and the bed very comfy. Breakfast has plenty options and fresh hot food can be cooked on request. Owners Gerry and Tracey went the extra mile and gifted us some beautiful flowers and bottle of fizz as it was our honeymoon. We really appreciated the extra touch! Nothing.

• Steven (10/5): A high quality bed and breakfast conveniently located to all the Hermanus sites. - Our engaging host, Gary, met us at check-in and showed us to our room, which was spacious, comfortable, well-decorated, and offered a great view out over the city. The location provides very easy access by vehicle to the major tourist areas of Hermanus. Located in a quiet neighborhood with no noise issues whatsoever. The breakfast is complete, with a very nice buffet followed by the opportunity to order a cooked breakfast also. Food was very good and staff were very professional and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We felt comfortable, safe, and well catered to. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom is also very nice. You really have everything you need and there is much attention to detail. You won't want or need for anything and there is plenty of space on the property should you wish to spend more time outside of your room. Location is perfect for getting around Hermanus.

The pool and hot tub area is a lovely spot and there are plenty of shady sitting areas in the pretty garden. Breakfast is delicious with hot and cold options and home cooked cakes. Marcelle has invested in solar panels which ensures there are no problems due to load shedding, wifi is excellent. The property is situated in a quiet area with the cliff path close by and the centre of Hermanus in walking distance. Several beaches are a short drive away. Compared to other accommodations we stayed at during our trip in the western cape, I think the price is a little high for what it is.

The house is located away from the hectic city centre which can still be reached in walking distance in a short time and wonderful walk along the coast.

• Caron (6/5): Need to upgrade to cater for load shedding - cannot charge those prices and not supply WiFi, TV - didn’t work as lack of - Very clean- comfortable room. Lack of WiFi due to load shedding. Get an inverter - satisfy clientele. No toast in the morning - due to load shedding- unacceptable in this business. Blocked shower - most odd.
• Patrick (10/5): Womderful stay just outside the centre - The property is much more then a guesthouse. Inside it gives the feeling of a luxury castel with beautiful stairs connecting the first floor with the lobby. Outside nice pool and relaxing area. Excellent host. Breakfast ok :-)

• Ana (9/5): Superb - We had a great time in Villa Venusta, it is walking distance from Hermanus town center where you can find restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Although in the evening it was advice to take a very short taxi ride, but that wasn't a problem. The B&B is really nice and the hosts are amazing. The room and bed is very confortable and the breakfast is great! I even needed to see a doctor appointment while I was there and the host went above and beyond reaching out to her own GP for me to attend. Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay. For a few days, there was temporary construction work next door with some noise in the mornings but this was nothing the B&B staff could do about it.
