The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and very inviting. The grounds were beautiful with stunning views of the nearby mountains, especially at sunset. The service was exceptional throughout our visit, and the location was perfect — an easy walk or quick Uber ride into town. Breakfast each morning was delicious.

I think they can help take bags to the room when you check in and collect when you check out since parking is on a rough paving and not directly opposite your room. but also its part of luxury premium accommodation

- Max (10/5): Perfect spot for relaxing with easy access to the centre of franschhoek - and great people! - La cabriere was a beautiful a 10 minute walk from the main high st of franschhoek and with great facilities to relax for the second part of our honeymoon. Our hosts were amazingly accommodating and helped us book a horse ride and got up super early to let us out before we had to leave. It was a great spot and we had an amazing time. thank you!

Town too far to walk. Room description inaccurate. Small thin bath towels. No complimentary water even though you can’t drink tap water. Cooked breakfast very small portions. Returned at 1 PM in the afternoon room still not serviced. Had to ask for the room to be service. Housekeeper just pulled the bed spread up didn’t even tuck in corners. Overall a terrible stay.

The location was perfect, just outside of town so a peaceful, quiet location - but close enough for an easy, quick to walk into town. We so appreciated the hospitality and delicious breakfasts - and Lisa kindly gave us wonderful recommendations for vineyards and restaurants. A bonus was the beautifully decorated room with a sitting area just outside in the gorgeous garden. We just loved our stay and hope to return! 5/5 stars for La Cabriere Country House! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Helpful staff Tho k breakfast needed a little tweaking as was a bit small and lack lustre but all fresh products. Would be nice to have a little service if by the pool and any in house dining snack offers. But again fabulously clean, air con, bathroom, outside space beautifully kept.

The only problem was that my hair turned green because the pool chemicals cannot have been properly tested. Though Lisa was great and immediately organised for me to go to her hairdresser who got rid of the green. I was left with a grey colour , not my usual blonde. It slightly tainted our experience

(10/5): Luxurious, fantastic location, a friendly & welcoming atmosphere!! - An outstanding Hotel, a warm and welcoming check-in, we were shown to our luxurious room, the room was furnished with lots of little extras making it feel like home, French windows overlooking the stunning gardens and swimming pools were the icing on the cake! Breakfast was superb, staff were attentive & welcoming. The Hotel is a 15 minute walk into a beautiful town with many shops and restaurants, one day we went in the wine tram visiting vineyards. We stayed in 3 locations in the wine region, in hindsight would have stayed here & travelled to the other areas! Nothing bad about this hotel

Lisa mentioned a shower room which would be a great addition for those arriving early before their room is ready.

It’s bed and breakfast only but it feels very quiet and there’s no place to sit and have a drink apart from your room and the mini bar. It’s a 20 minute walk into town which is fine in the daytime but we were advised to take Ubers in the evening when it was dark. Just added to the fee,I g of isolation, breakfast was good and the rooms well cleaned.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and the overall presence of the house is very calming. Location to the town centre was excellent with Uber's always available and very cheap. Kenny (the receptionist) is so kind and helpful. Lisa (the lady who runs the hotel) is just so adorable. I will definitely come back.

But this place stands out for the gardens, views and pool areas - truly breathtaking and so peaceful. Staff were wonderful, very professional and helpful. Breakfast was also fantastic, definitely recommend staying here for a bit of peace and tranquility but still only a 15 minutes walk from Franschheok centre.

- simonglasgow2014 (8/5): Immaculate and an oasis of calm - A lovely peaceful hotel on the outskirts with terrific gardens and pools; a short 10 minute walk into the centre, which obviously you can't do after dark. The attention to detail is second to none and the service is excellent. A lovely friendly team looking after guests, and a great breakfast included. We had a mountain view room, which on reflection is the least good option; the pool view rooms are far superior and cost very little extra. Beautifully clean and well looked after the estate is stunning.
