Камин в гостинной зоне создает особый уют, его разжигают по первой просьбе. Не хватает шторы между спальней и санузлом. Уместно было бы иметь возможность уединиться. Также не хватает гигиенического душа.
• Andrea (10/5): Ein sehr schönes und gepflegtes kleines Hotel mit traumhaft schönen Blick auf Berge und Meer! - Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Zimmer (im Haupthaus) mit Balkon und einer sensationellen Aussicht. Das ganze Hotel zeichnet sich durch einen besonderen Charme und sehr freundlichem Personal aus. So wurde uns nachts nochmal der Kamin angefeuert, damit wir uns aufwärmen konnten. Die Lage ist traumhaft schön mit Blick auf die Berge und das Meer und die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Our fridge in the villa wasn’t working. Eventually they had to bring in a mini fridge for us to use as a replacement, they were very quick in their response but it just isn’t on par with the quality you’d expect. The WiFi also wasn’t very good unfortunately.

Störend empfanden wir, dass im Zimmer trotz ausgeschalteter AC, die automatische Belüftungsanlage nicht ausgeschaltet werden konnte und es ein "Dauerrauschen" gab. Der "Blick fürs Frühstücksbuffet" ist verbesserungswürdig, es fehlte meist etwas, was aus war oder vergessen wurde nachzufüllen, z. B. Gläser, Joghurt, ...und .an musste immer erst fragen.

Allerdings liegt das Haus eher schattig und ist morgens und abends kühl, zudem fehlt ein gemütlicher Aufenthaltsraum zum Verweilen. Auch die Balkone sind wenig privat, da Nachbarn direkt Einblick haben und Gespräche leicht mitgehört werden können.

Misleading website, bad communication - The location is beautiful and the view is breathtaking, the hotel looks great and the swimming pool is a lovely place to rewind. Many facilities advertised online (hot tubs, nature pool, outdoor fireplace, braai area) are not available to hotel guests though, only to villa renters. This is not made clear anywhere and feels dishonest. There was also a serious lack of communication from both management and staff. Restaurant hours were incorrect, gym equipment and hair dryer didn’t work, menu items were unavailable, lunch took over an hour and we had to look for staff ourselves. For us, the price is too high if you look at the service they provide. Management did not offer a real solution afterwards. Beautiful location but in the end every day things went wrong and we were left with a poor experience.

Alles is super schoon en comfortabel. Het ontbijt is goed verzorgd en het personeel is heel aardig. Je kunt heerlijk liggen aan de pool en genieten van al het moois! Het ligt boven op een berg, hierdoor fantastische mooie uitzichten, maar je moet wel iedere keer met je auto naar Sommerset West om ‘s avonds een hapje te eten. Er wordt zelf geen avondeten geserveerd namelijk.

The interior design is a work of art, filled with interesting details like paintings and figurines that harmonize perfectly. Every corner felt thoughtful and stylish. Views around are simply magnificent! We loved falling asleep to the gentle sound of flowing water and birds singing. The villa is well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Also there are the sauna, the hot tub (chan), and the cozy fire pit area for evening gatherings. These spaces made our trip unforgettable. A huge thank you to the staff, who were genuinely kind, responsive, and attentive. Any request we had, was met quickly. This is absolutely a place you want to return to. We highly recommend it for any group looking for a unique and luxurious retreat!

All the outside areas were well thought through and we used all of them. Pool, hot tub and sauna were great. The views on both sides of the house were amazing. Rooms were great and the staff were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond. Such a small point but because the staff were so good we couldn’t get in to the utility room to get to the dishwasher and to get any cutlery that we had already used.

• Sarah (1/5): Don't stay in the Rose Cottage unit - It was quite. The view from the parking was nice. 1. Cleanliness: There was a plastic wrapper with a pubic hair on it on the right side bedstand; one of the coffee cups still had a brown ring around the bottom- it was clearly rinsed not cleaned 2. Things that don't work: Neither TV had any channels- they weren't tuned; the sliding door of the bathroom doesn't lock so the unit is not secure; the bedroom door is only easy to close from outside as it is fitted skew so you have to push in the bottom from outside so it close properly; the oven in this "self-catering" unit doesn't work 3. The jacuzzi: when we arrived before 4pm, we confirmed we wanted it filled and heated. It takes 3 - 4 hours to heat properly so we figured it would be ready by the time we got back. Just after 7pm, I get a message from the property asking if I'm sure I want the jacuzzi heated as it'll onky be ready by 10pm. Note this message is 3 hours after I already asked for the jacuzzi to be heated. We get back after 21:30 and catch the guy having only then just started the fire to heat the jacuzzi and the water is freezing. 4. There's a public walking path that goes right past the unit. Either you constantly have the blinds down or you have strangers gazing at you going about your business, which I did, twice.  5. The photos on booking.com and their website of Rose Cottage are different to how the units actually looks. If they had put up photos of the real unit, I would not have booked this place. 6. Random strangers trying to connect to our TV and kicking us out of what we'd cast to it because the units are so close

A bonus was the beautiful walking trail amongst proteas and indigenous plants and birds! Rooms and villas had everything we needed and more! Everything was spotless and top quality!
