• Tandiswa (10/5): The stay was just great. - Wow! My partner and I loved the place. It is cozy and warm as we visited in winter time. The kitchen and lounge area were neat and cosy. We loved the surroundings of beautifully organised trees. The owners were very welcoming and made sure that we had everything that we needed. We felt safe. We will definitely go back. Nothing.

• Leonard Carr (10/5): Enchanting piece of paradise - The property is truly magical and enchanting. The location is outstanding. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The Lapa offers comfortable seating and an indoor or outdoor eating area with well stocked kitchen, gas stove and very generous fridge space. Tania and Alan are the most warm, generous, thoughtful and attentive hosts I have ever had the good fortune to encounter. I could easily have stayed there triple the ten days we had there. Thank-you Tania and Alan!!!! I can't think of anything that I didn't like

• Paula (9/5): - Lovely rooms set in indigenous forest, plus the use of a communal lounge/kitchen. Very welcoming hosts. Nice restaurants within easy reach. The rooms are beautiful but they are VERY small and lack storage.

• Bottoman (9/5): It was beautiful, short as it was. Tania and Al were absolutely amazing hosts. - Excellent location, quiet and secluded. It literally felt like being in a little love nest. The kitchen facility was a bit of a walk from our chalet - access to a microwave and wine openers etc

• Barber (9/5): Superb - We're from PE, but just wanted to get 'away' for a night. It was absolutely amazing. We felt like we were nice and remote. Our little family had a great time. Hosts were absolutely amazing and welcoming. Thank you Tania and Al. The ONLY thing we didn't like was that the sofa bed mattress was very thin, but it is understandable for a fold out couch.

Comfy bed as well and the host was amazing! Cant think of anything I didn't like.
• Dr (10/5): An unexpected jewel! - This accommodation was a very pleasant surprise! It is tucket away among trees that must have been there for decades which made it feel if one is in the middle of a forest. Because of its location (away from the beach - where we usually stay), we saw, and got to appreciate, a completely different part of Gqebergha that we probably would never have experienced. The reception by Alan was very welcoming. And during our stay, the Tania even asked if she can provide us with a heater, or anything else that we may need. That was very kind of Tania in my opinion. All I can say is: stay at L'auberge - you will not be disappointed! There was nothing to dislike.

The room has a very comfortable bed, a double shower and the rusks for morning coffee was a yummy surprise ... the photos on the website are accurate but when you get there its a million times better ... the quiet forest atmosphere makes relaxing so easy ... if you need to escape the city stress and forget about life for a while this is definitely the place to stay ... waking up to hear birds singing and seeing the soothing green of the trees is a true delight ... brilliant value for money ... we will definitely be returning here and have already started referring them to my family ... our expectations were far far far exceeded ... • Pierre (10/5): Love this place - The whole outdoor experience with monkeys in the trees and birds on the property next door. Braai and kitchen/deck area that can be used for anything. I would 100% recommend to anyone, I will be there again. The wife didnt like the big "reenspinnekop" that was in the shower, but thats to be expected in the woods.

L'auberge Country Hideaway is indeed a hideaway and a true wonder. The forest vibes looked like a picture out of a book. They offered to get us food at a local pizzeria and when it was closed, invited us to join them for burgers. To no fault of their own. Uber eats doesn't deliver. Be prepared and once you are the experience is the best ever.

I love nature so from the minute I entered the gate I was completely blown away by all the beauty of nature.I loved the privacy, all cottages are away from each other.Will definitely come back.
