- Simon (10/5): -
- Arlen (3/5): If you're staying for work, you might not even care, maybe. - It was cheap, and the air conditioning worked, had a fridge and microwave. Did I mention that it was cheap? It was dirty, smelled like cigarettes, lots of spiders. Lots of noise from other rooms, The blinds were destroyed, the doors don't lock very securely, there are stains all over the walls, ceilings and bedding. Tub surround is all broken and falling in. Very old, very dilapidated building, in serious need of repairs.
- Anonymous (3/5): Poor -
- Mark (2/5): - We cancelled our booking
- Dezorzi (1/5): Bad -
- Oleksii (4/5): Disappointing -
- Austin (7/5): Good -
- Joseph (3/5): Poor -
- Candice (2/5): - Very unclean.
- Junia (2/5): - -Unpleasant smell
-unsafe door knob loose
-unsafe cooking stovetop
- Jackie (1/5): Bad -
- Liam (1/5): Horror Movie - Friendly staff Room felt like I was in a crackhouse. Dirty and run down. Sink was leaking, shower was dirty. Empty beer bottle and cigarrette butts under the bed.
Tear it down
- Breanna (1/5): Terrible - Nothing My door wouldn’t lock and or close completely. The room was dirty and I was charged an extra $100 on my credit card. When I tried to inquire about the money he was never in the office and when I’d call back at the time he said for me to call back the line would be busy.
- Cruz (2/5): Do not stay here - Very dirty, just gross
- Cruz (2/5): Do not stay here - Very dirty, just gross
- Hani (1/5): Bad -
- Mike (1/5): Bad - Leaving it Stayed there for 5 days and never seen a cleaning lady, no clean towels, ran out of toilet paper, no one jn the office
- Mike (1/5): Bad - Nothing. Dont waste your money go down the road Everything.
- Kimberley (1/5): Horrendous and I’m so disappointed that booking would allow a hotel - Not a thing. I’m actually surprised booking.com has this hotel as part of there suggestions. This hotel was disgusting. It was soooo dirty. I have videos A tuna fish sandwich was left in the fridge. The lamp shades were slashed. The tv was broken. The air conditioning is sitting under the closet shelf aiming up to the shelf so pretty much useless. The window didn’t lock. The toilet felt like a rocking chair. Large sections of Paint are melting or peeling off the walls. Number of stains on the walls and ceiling. The door was filthy and the tub caulking was black in many spots.
- gordon (4/5): - old and run down
- Martina (8/5): It was great, haven't been to High Level before. - location, price and convenience and that I did'nt have to pay by credit card first, because I did not know how many nights I was gonna stay. Configuration of furniture ( too much, crowded)
- Daniel (7/5): Served it’s purpose - It was cheap Old and a bit smelly
- Nyima (1/5): Bad -
- Dave (2/5): - doors did not shut properly. snow piled in front of access
- Christy (1/5): Worst experience ever!!! - Nothing Stinky and dusty room. No exhaust fun. Can't barely breathe. The owner of the place wants to charge me for $10 more per head because he said that the rate is only for 2 people, but i showed him the booking summary i have and it showed the I booked it for 4 adults. If we did not arrived at 12 midnight, i would still find other place to sleep in. I just have no choice because it has been paid for. And now I'm trying to get one payment back because i paid $103 something with my debit at the property because that's the rate i booked for, only to see another charge of $150 from my credit card which I used to book online. And now they are giving me hard time to get it back.
- Joerg (4/5): Manning it's a town that will die soon but the accomodation died years ago!!!!!! - The Location is good. The WIFI was just 0.16 Mbps and upload around 0.2 Mbps!
This object needs some reinvestment to adjust the time we are living now.
I mean the flair of the 60's is not bad but the matress are!
No TV-channels not over cable or WIFI!!!!!!
- Hendrika (6/5): - tiny room, linens and towels old and worn. Not worth the price.
- james (2/5): Can not recommend - Oh dear....The motel is on its last legs... Bed was comfortable enough but there was a sound of dripping water all night which, combined with thin curtains and street lights made sleep almost impossible. Tried to get a shower in the morning, hot tap fine, but the cold tap was immovable so I was unable to shower.
- jessie (4/5): - I booked the room 8 days in advance. 12hrs before check-in, the Manager messaged via Expedia and told me that the room I paid for (queen with 1 double) was no longer available. They said only room available was now 2 double with kitchenette and it was going to cost me extra. They then said "if you do not want, you can cancel". No other rooms were available in Manning, so I was forced to accept the changes. Why, if I booked the room so far in advance was it suddenly given away and I was upcharged?! I didnt need a kitchenette, i needed a queen and a double for our family. Unacceptable.
Inside the room smelled horribly of cigarettes, the carpet was square "tile" carpet chunks placed together and loose to move around. The mattresses had literal springs sticking out. The beige bedsheets were stained and honestly im not sure if they had once been white and were not aged to the point of being beige in color. The bathroom door had been replaced at some point, as the replacement door was now 3 inches too short for the doorframe. The kitchenette i was upcharged for did not work! No toiletries, soaps, shampoos or lotion provided. There was no drain cover in the shower and you could look inside to see all of the collected goopy hair clumps. The toilet slow drained when flushed, which made you paranoid to put toilet paper inside. There was a long coiled sticky bug tape dangly from the ceiling at head height that had over 100 flies stuck to it and there were still flies buzzing around!
- Michael (4/5): - Not the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed in but better than sleeping in my truck.
- Nicole (1/5): Bad -
- Rafal (5/5): Passable -
- Elizabeth (2/5): - When I got the the property I was told they did not have my reservation and no rooms available, in fact there were no rooms anywhere in town. I had to drive an hour to Peace River to find a room for the night. Thankfully I chose pay at the motel, so there better not be a charge to my Visa!
- Brad (4/5): Avoid at all costs. - Place is not maintained, couldn't find my booking, asked me to come with him to the room first so wE can see if the smell was finally out of the room. Unfortunately, none of it. We only stayed there as there was nothing left to get.
- Moira (6/5): - It was a convenient and inexpensive stop in a long journey.
- Pamela (7/5): Good -
- JOSEPH (6/5): - Property is old, probably average value for the price.
- Brandon (6/5): - There was no toilet paper in my room, and couldn’t find staff to get any. Walking distance to downtown but everything closes by 10, so eat before you get there.
- Steve (4/5): - It will be an adventure if you stay here.
Sheets were clean though so I give them that.
- Travis (1/5): Do not support this motel - Parking was ok Dirty, room was smaller than selected
- Matt (2/5): - Apparently this motel did not receive a booking email from Expedia, even though Expedia sent me a confirmation email. So, we arrived after being forced to evacuate from our city due to wildfire and then driving 12 hrs, only to find our room sold. We have a 14-month-old daughter! We then had to drive another 2.5 hours in darkness to find another hotel. We would not have taken that route were it not for Expedia confirming our booking.
I will never use this website again and will advise everyone I know to do the same.
- Melody (5/5): Passable -
- Ruoxi (4/5): - The room smelled like cigarette (like somebody was smoking there for years). When I was trying to air out the room, the person next door started smoking right outside of the window for like 2 hours...the sheet had a blood stain on it...the furniture surfaces were dusty. I didn't have my expectations high, with the price, was expecting the amenities to be older & run down. But the cleanness and smell was just disturbing. Would not recommend
- Herb (8/5): - check in was slow, no TSN tv.
- Norman (4/5): - Old building with leaky faucet and soft floor in bathroom. TV and internet was very poor.
- Graves (6/5): Pleasant - I liked that the two rooms we had in our unit were small enough to accommodate a quick overnight stay. We ended up paying $35 more than what booking.com had quoted us on. Instead of $95 + some taxes and fees, we paid $129 and change. A bit pricey for just a not very well-kept motel.
- Herb (8/5): - when I entered the office it took a while to check in and it took me a while to find the air conditioning. once I found it and turned it on the room was much more comfortable. The biggest problem was that I was looking forward to enjoying the BC Lions football game and the tv had no TSN. When I called front desk he had no idea what I was talking about and was no help. (missed the whole game)
- Donald (10/5): - older building clean and comfy tv pain in butt to get working but over all was great
- Lavar (3/5): a dive, outdated, uncomfortable beds - only place available due to fires everything
- Gillian (2/5): - Drive on by.
- Joanna (8/5): - Great spot for the price. Old but clean.
- Unka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harry (2/5): - The guy checking me in gave me the vibes that I was not welcome.
- Lavar (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ajaz (7/5): Good -
- Jeffrey (2/5): - There was a dead mouse found in the bathroom air duct grille.
- Rebecca (1/5): Bad -
- kevin (2/5): - Arrived at 8 25 pm and the office was closed. Phoned the number and no answer. Had to continue on to Peace River. Not impressed.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tyra (1/5): Horrible. - It was disgusting. We’ve stayed in motels before but we would of slept in our truck if it wasn’t freezing cold out vs this motel. The room smelt like mold and pee, the bed sheets were stained and covered in holes, water stained walls, no deadbolt, there was a horrible banging sound that went day and night like there were people beating on the walls with pipes which kept us up the entire night. Honestly the worst experience we’ve ever had.
- Weijin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ilene (2/5): - This property is borderline condemn status. There was mouse droppings on the floor, stains on the sheets, garbage under the bed, garbage in the trash can in the room, partially used shampoo left. I question if the room had been cleaned prior or the bed was just made. This was a terrible experience. Only stayed to avoid driving one hour back to Peace River - I assure you MAKE THE DRIVE.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Charley (4/5): Disappointing -
- Grant (6/5): - A little rundown
- Ajaz (5/5): Good but needs some necessary improvements - No breakfast, heating system non-operational unfortunately Heating n coffee stuff n washroom supplies
- Hl (6/5): very reasonable price and the bed for my friends not so good but mine is good and I had a good night sleep - cheap and spacious the room has a smell
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Ajaz (6/5): It was ok no complaints - Location , nice, convenient Inside room accessories
- Richard (6/5): - Old could use repair
- Jourdan (8/5): - This hotel was perfectly adequate for my brother and I. Granted, there are certainly some travelers that would have considered it dingy. But the rooms were clean, just outdated. The bathrooms were also perfectly clean, with fresh towels and toiletries provided. Also had a nice TV, just, like I said, some people wouldn't like the look of it. But that being said, Manning is an adorable little town, and even if it's not the prettiest motel, it's not like it's in a bad part of town or something, because there is no bad part of town. I gave a 4 out of 5 only because I don't want to be too misleading. If you're looking for indoor doors and something that looks new, look elsewhere. If you want an affordable stop that is perfectly fine, the Hillcrest works great. Friendly owner/manager too!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and nice staff. Is a older motel but was nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - everything was very good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I was something from the 70s
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Whole place is great very comfortable has everything I needed cool at night really like it here
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place is old & the flooring in some rooms is hazardous.
- Darrell (10/5): - Over all it was perfect for what we needed for our stay , staff was friendly and had everything we needed
- Verified traveler (6/5): Friendly staff - Very out-dated but not too bad to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overall good - Ok overall
- Jaime (6/5): - This motel is really old, it feels cold even in this summer season. For the price I guess a person could find something with better comfort and quality
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pipes made noise like crazy, floors and walls dirty. My truck would have been a better place to sleep.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Its was unfortunately a terrible experience, i end up traveling an extra hour and staying elsewhere, therefore pay 2 hotel for 1 nite. The place is old, run down and dirty (got pics to show!) i would not recommend at all, i hate complaining like that but would not want anyone else to have to deal with that.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Air freshener way way too perfume, oil heater beside bed. We didn’t stay because of perfume allergies.
- ROBERT (4/5): the place is not professionally managed - they were unable to locate our reservation, and they did not charge us the price that had been confirmed by hotels.com.
The beds were not made after a night of sleeping, although they did give us clean towels
Also the furnace ductwork was very noisy with lots of banging when it heated up and again when it cooled down
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Beds were clean and quite comfortable, water was hot, showers were good.
Desperately in need of some repairs...
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Property was old and run down. The overhang over walk way was loose so when I leaned on it it was detached at both ends and was loose so shifted. Bathroom baseboards were dirty as was bathroom door. Hole in wall that was poor drywall fix. Bedding was clean. Needs updating.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Hotel is a disaster , nothing has changed since 1970
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Found bedbugs in the bed. Other than that, the front desk staff was nice, and the room in itself (other than bedbugs) was clean.
- Maxwell (10/5): Dump... don't stay here - This motel would be shut down if an inspector looked at it. Black mold in the bathroom, bird feces on towels, the heater does not work and was informed by management there is a heater in kitchenette. The tiny heater there was a total fire hazard, open wires over the sink, obviously was a home made fix it and not to code and never heated the room at all. There were insects in sink bath tub and toilet.
