• AHMED (8/5): - I was unexpectedly asked by a front desk staff member to settle charges related to minibar items which I did not consume. Despite clearly stating that I had not used any minibar items, I was informed that the charges were recorded in the hotel system, and I was required to settle them before my room key could be activated. As a result, I was left waiting in the lobby for approximately 30 minutes while the matter was being investigated. Eventually, it was confirmed that my statement was correct and that no minibar consumption had occurred. However, I was then handed my room key without any apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused.

Charging me $40 because my family friend whom I just discovered was in same location as me wanted to visit is totally WILD! Not gonna lie, my mood was damaged the moment you guys left me in the cold outside the airport, I was moody the whole time. I will stay somewhere else next time so I can recieve visitors too.

• Martin (10/5): Great stay with a very perosnal touch, even phoned each night to check how my day went - Staff genuinely went out of their way to find solutions to any assistance i needed. They even re-aaranged my room so i could receive clients in the junior suite. Rooms were clean and spacious and really comfortable.

• Richard (8/5): A good, comfortable hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. - The room was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, the Volcano Bar a great place both to have lunch and an evening drink. For lunch, the buffet in the restaurant is also great - a real improvement on where I stayed on my previous visit to Nairobi. But above all, I rate the staff. Josephine in Reservations was extremely helpful, especially when I had to re-arrange flights and therefore my booking as a result of the Middle East war. But Mercy and Violet in the Volcano Bar and in the restaurant also always greeted me with a welcoming smile when I returned, while the staff in reception were always friendly and helpful. The Travel Desk also arranges transfers to the airport efficiently. The location is also good - a short walk from the Broadwalk Mall one way, the GTC Mall the other. Only one thing, really, to criticise. The Golden Tulip is a good hotel and is therefore popular for conferences and business meetings - there were several going on during my stay. When this happens, the restaurant can get overwhelmed and the service therefore extremely slow; on one evening, my colleague and I had to wait a very long time before our food arrived and when it did, the accompanying sauce only came later. It would have been better if the restaurant staff had been upfront with us: "we have a conference here at the moment, the kitchen is extremely busy and so your order may take longer". This would have made clear what we could expect. But this is my only criticism: when the food did arrive, it was of the same good standard as on other days. And every other aspect of the hotel was great.

Palestra caotica e piena di macchine di "seconda mano" ma molto frequentata con ottimi istruttori che ti sanno coinvolgere e dare buoni consigli. Piscina con acqua gelida sul tetto. Ristorante buono. Buon servizio navetta da e per areoporto. In conclusione buona struttura con costi più contenuti rispetto ai più prestigiosi hotel della zona.

The room itself was comfortable and well-presented. However, I was quite disappointed with the breakfast options, as the menu was limited and the quality didn’t meet my expectations; there’s definitely room for improvement in this area. Additionally, the refrigerator in my room was not working properly, which caused some inconvenience, and unfortunately, the staff were slow in responding to and resolving these issues. While the room upgrade was a great highlight, better service responsiveness and improved breakfast quality would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.

• Mehdi (1/5): Very bad experience - Nothing really was good at the hotel . To begin with , it is absolutely not a 5 star hotel. The maximum it can get is 3 star. The service was very bad, the staff is not welcoming and gives wrong information. The breakfast was not good, nothing can be eaten other than eggs. I had dinner at the hotel at it was horrible experience. No good selection. The food tasted bad. I ordered fondant chocolate and after waiting for one hour they came and said we did not manage to do it. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
