• Mona (10/5): Tranquillity on the clifftops of Brenton on Sea - The location was incredible. The view from the villa of both the ocean and the waves on the beach were magnificent. The size of the unit was bigger than I expected. The villa is well designed and was safe and secure during the recent gale force winds and storms. The electric blankets for the colder nights were perfect. The kitchen was fully equipped - including a mini gas stove for when the power was interrupted by the storm. The staff that dealt with the booking were professional and warm. They kept me updated throughout. Shout out to Kelebogile and Amoururshka for the excellent service. N/A

• Alida (9/5): Anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and beautiful surroundings, this is it! - The accommodation exceeded my expectations and was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing experience. One of the highlights was the stoop area—perfect for unwinding and enjoying the breathtaking view. All was perfect for us. There is nothing that we can mention. From the time we made the booking we were kept in the loop with communication and info needed which we appreciate.

The beach was inaccessible with the staircase close to the unit but we used the one on the other end of the private beach which is a short walk away, and well worth the investment in time and effort. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Brenton Breakers.

I would like to bring to your attention several issues we experienced during our stay, which significantly affected the overall quality of our visit: Unstable Wi-Fi and TV connectivity during the stay Cleanliness standards below expectations A power outage caused by the external main switch going down Absence of basic amenities such as soap Housekeeping services provided only twice during a four-night stay No one available on arrival to hand over keys or provide clear instructions Difficulties in establishing phone contact when assistance was required

Lots of great touches to make sure that guests are comfortable. Great value. Close to Buffels Bay Beach. Drive to Knysna Central is about 20 minutes but if you're looking for a relaxing holiday then this is the spot.

The location is unbeatable—perched above Brenton Beach with sweeping ocean views that are simply breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sunset from the balcony made the experience unforgettable. The accommodation itself was spotless, modern, and very well-equipped for a self-catering stay. Everything felt thoughtfully designed, from the comfortable beds to the neat furnishings that gave the unit a welcoming, homely feel. The hosts were warm and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed without ever being intrusive. It’s a peaceful retreat, perfect for unwinding, yet close enough to Knysna’s attractions for easy day trips. Everrything was perfect

• KiBu78 (8/5): Traumhafte Rundumsicht auf den Ozean von einer Klippe in geräumigen Reihenhaus mit super Service! - ir waren dort drei Wochen in einem Reihenendhaus, auch wegen unserem Sohn und fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet. Es hat uns nur die Waschmaschine gefehlt, aber die Maid hat uns das Waschen angeboten. Der tägliche Reinigungsservice war exzellent. So etwas wünscht man sich zuhause. Vom Wohnzimmer, dem hinteren Schlafzimmer und der Terrasse konnte man den Ozean in aller Form genießen. Eine Augenweide und beruhigendes Rauschen für die Ohren. Allerdings ist es nicht für geräuschempfindliche Schläfer, da die Brandung auch nachts gut zu hören ist. Im vorderen Schlafzimmer ist es aber erträglicher. Die Betten sind alle sehr bequem, zwei geräumige Duschen und eine große Badewanne runden die Ausstattung sehr gut ab. In der Küche sind auch alle Geräte, die man benötigt (Wasserkocher, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Spülmaschine und sogar eine Mikrowelle). Der Parkplatz ist ein Carport, also schön überdachtet, direkt neben der Haustür. Strand ist fußläufig in ca. 10 Min. erreichbar. WLAN ist ok, aber nicht für Streaming ausreichend (5 MBit über Funk). Die Spülmaschine wurde innerhalb von 2 Tagen erneuert, da wir sie reklamiert hatten. Lob an die Eigentümer! Punktabzug nur wegen Ameisen, Brandung ggf. in der Nacht störend mangels Schallschutz und keine Klimaanlage. Der Schlüssel der Terrasse ist leider abgebrochen und wurde bis zur Abreise (12 Tage) nicht mehr repariert.

• Esther (9/5): Immer gerne wieder… - Super Lage, bequemes Bett, tolles WiFi und ausgestattet mit allem was man sich wünschen kann. Wir haben die Unterkunft, den Weitblick und das Meeresrauschen sehr genossen. Badezimmer und Küche (Herdplatten) sind teils recht abgebraucht.

• Marco (9/5): lekker relaxen en genieten van het uizicht op een eindeloze oceaan - Het uitzicht! Dat was geweldig, vooral door de ligging boven op het klif. Het appartement was keurig ingericht en voorzien van voldoende comfort. Fijne zithoek, ruime keuken, mooie slaapkamers, nette badkamer. Goede bedden. De afstand naar het strand was niet te groot. Er is een leuke wandeling achter de huizen langs de rand van het klif. Bij het strand is een uitstekend restaurant! Elke dag is er iemand om het huis schoon te maken en de handdoeken te verversen.

• Michelle (10/5): Overall excellent stay. - The sunset views were incredible and the apartment was was clean and modern. There were a lot of rules and outdated information on the document they make you sign. It was talking about load shedding occurring, that is not currently relevant. It also made a point to say we must take out the trash out and do dishes or we will be charged a cleaning fee, which is fine and understandable but then sent in a daily maid to wash dishes and take out the trash. It just did not see very welcoming to guests. Although I did have a great stay, these are just personal things to me that I think could be updated so guests feel more welcomed. It feels like one of those places where 1 guest had previously trashed and everyone else must now hear about it.

In all, we had a very comfortable stay. Nothing. The microwave did not work but was replaced within a matter of hours once the staff got to know about it.

• Brigitte (10/5): Ein traumhafter Flecken Erde, an dem wir gerne länger verweilt hätten! - Die außergewöhnliche Lage hoch über dem Meer hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Sehr komfortable Unterkunft. Etwas enttäuscht waren wir, dass die Treppe aus dem Garten heraus nicht bis an den Strand geführt hat.

• Brigitte (10/5): Super Aufenthalt überhalb der Klippen mit toller Aussicht. - Die Lage war phantastisch oberhalb der Klippen mit Delphin- und Haibeobachtungen. Über den Fisherman‘s Walk kam man an den unten gelegenen Strand. Der Weg war absolut OK. 2 Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. In der Küche muss man wegen Ameisen alles wegräumen.

• Jan (9/5): Schöne Unterkunft, das ein wenig Investition nötig hat - Die Lage und Aussicht war wundervoll. Der tägliche Roomservice fanden wir angenehm. Das Haus war sehr geräumig. Das Haus (wir waren in Haus Nr. 6) bräuchte eine sanfte bis mittlere Renovation für den Preis. Die Ameisen im Badezimmer waren etwas störend. Die Duschbrause im einen Badezimmer müsste ersetzt werden.

• Martin (8/5): Haus in toller Lage, etwas in die Jahre gekommen - Sehr schöne Lage, im Bett hört man das Meeresrauschen. Toller Blick von der Terrasse. Sehr gute Restaurants mit PKW in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Direkt am Haus liegt ein Wanderung entlang der Klippen Die Möbel und das Bad sind veraltet und müssten renoviert werden. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist nicht sehr reichhaltig, im Bad kaum Ablagemöglichkeiten.

• Rekha Subash (8/5): a comfortable stay close to nature - I liked the design of the apartment and the view of the ocean. I noticed that you provided soap bars which were kept at the wash basin. I feel a better approach is to provide soap dispensers for hand wash. This will reduce wastage as a soap bar will not be consumed during a 4 night stay and will therefore get wasted. Dispensers are also more hygienic. Soap was not provided for bathing. A washing machine would also be helpful as there is no time for guests to go to a nearby laundromat.

The bed-linen and silverware can be replaced, as it has reached the end-of-life. The Brento-on-sea location is a very peaceful location along this coastline, and the views are beyond special.
