- Megan (10/5): Amazing bush lodge - highly recommend! - We travelled as 2 adults and 1 child and honestly loved - Everything! The staff, the food, the decor, the room, the animals! Fantastic, we didn’t want for anything whilst we were there. We didn’t have a car and got lifts to and from the nearest town which we were really grateful for! The food was incredible - highly recommend paying for evening meals, 3 courses every night we were stuffed! The atmosphere of the whole place was just amazing and we couldn’t believe how close the animals came to us. Really safe, a perfect bush lodge! We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone. We had a look around one of the safari tents and they also look fantastic! Wiele sorted lifts to and from the airport and all of our game drives, first class service with ease. Nothing, genuinely a fantastic stay!

They assisted us with booking our game drive. The Afrikaans menu for dinner was excellent! Beautiful decorations throughout the lounge and rooms. We had a big Kudu come say hello when we went in the pool. It was a great stay.

- Annemarie (10/5): Best place éver! It’s not just a place to rest, it’s an experience! - This location is next level, the hospitality is unknown, such a nice hosts and lovely staff. But above all: What A Place! So so beautiful, you just don’t know where to look. Everywhere there are seats, animals walk around the property freely, it’s not only a place to sleep, it’s an experience! (Also to get there by the way;) The food, no words can describe how awesome that is. Breakfast, dinner, the table, the singing staff, it is amazing and we stayed an extra night. Krugerpoort is 25 minutes away and it’s located just a few min from the crocodile river and the back of the Kruger Park. The toilet, even if there was just one outside also accessible would made the difference.

- Sonja Maria (10/5): Experiência maravilhosa - O lodge é supercharmoso e tem a "mão" da proprietária em cada detalhe da decoração. Os quartos são excelentes e muito confortáveis! Tem zebras, gnus, kubus, antílopes e javalis nos fundos da propriedade. Os proprietários são muito atenciosos e o jantar, com cantos africanos, excelente e emocionante. Não vivenciamos a experiência do café da manhã com os animais pq saímos cedo nos dias que ficamos por lá, mas providenciaram lanches para levarmos nos passeios. O acesso é um pouco complicado, mas penso que em qualquer outro lodge também seria.
- Juthakorn (10/5): Incredibly amazing! - Everything! Will and Rieta were amazing host, very warm and friendly. We had the set dinner two nights, and was amazingly delicious both nights. We had an early morning start one day, they packed breakfast for us, which is so thoughtful. Breakfast on our last day was very enjoyable as we were joined by beautiful wildlife. All the food provided were delicious, just wish we had room to eat it all! Definitely, highly, recommended!!

- Jean (10/5): Wow, an amazing safari lodge with everything you could want and wish for. Really special. - Breakfast with the wildlife all around was such a special environment. The effort put in by the staff to set up the breakfast “theme of the day” was excellent. A wide variety of food was put out for us with amazingly fresh fruit and juices. I really can’t fault anything that we experienced. So, so special in a beautiful setting, with great helpful staff.
- Malcolm Paul (9/5): Garden of Eden before Eve bit the Apple! - This place is unlike anything I've experienced before. The hosts Willie (pronounced "Villy") and Marietta are super friendly and make you feel at home immediately. The food is prepared fresh for you and really hits the spot! You only have to ask and they will be delighted to help out with any special requests or advice on trips etc. Even to the point of arranging a guide for you picked up from the lodge. The animals that visit at breakfast make the whole experience surreal and unforgettable. Who'd have thought you could share breakfast with wild Kudu, Zebras, Impala, Nyala, warthog etc. Amazing. And in the evening being visited by Genet and Bushbabies while sipping wine on the patio is unforgettable. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place for an amazing time on the edge of Kruger. I am reluctant to write anything here, but in the interests of clarity. The indoor shower takes a surgeons touch to get anything except scalding hot or freezing cold, but the outside shower was perfect with just the hot turned on. There were no options or menu for the meals, but what they served was always superb in any case! Something that is not the fault of the lodge, or anything they can do anything about - but worth mentioning, is that the "roads" to the lodge away from the tarmac Olifants road require 4x4 off road experience to navigate without getting stuck or ending up in the scenery. They were continuing to repair the giant potholes, caused by recent bad weather, but it looks like being a long job. As I say it's not the fault of the Weilwaal Bush lodge and affects every property in Marloth Park away from the tarmac.
- Renato (10/5): Ein schöner Aufenthalt den wir für immer in schöner Erinnerung behalten werden. - Wir hatten ein Zelt. Sehr geräumig, gemütlich und komfortabel. Wir sassen stundenlang auf der Terrasse und immer wieder kamen Tiere zu Besuch. Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft mitten im Busch. Danke an die Gastgeber und das Personal. Wir wurden sehr gut betreut und das Nachtessen und das Frühstück war jedesmal fantastisch. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen, es war der perfekte Abschluss unserer dreiwöchigen Reise durch das wunderschöne Südafrika 😊 Alles war perfekt.
- 王慶元 (9/5): - 充滿非洲特色的園區 位置宿克魯格國家公園 (Kruger National Park)鱷魚門跟Malelane門的中間 提供我提早入住 員工友善 最愛露天浴缸 早餐特優，會有野生動物餵食秀，Marloth園區的動物會聚集一起跟人類共享早餐 房間非裝飾的小細節可以再加強注意一下其實就很完美了！ 雖說地理位置很適合作為克魯格國家公園 (Kruger National Park)據點，但整個Marloth園區的道路狀況實在太糟糕了，比國家動物園還差，一開始路況不熟靠Google導航，車子差點卡在半路！當然這不是業者的問題，而是整個園區居民都深受困擾，希望相關單位能為道路狀況做些什麼，要提醒過來記得租的底盤較高的車子。
- Célia (10/5): Un endroit extraordinaire où on a plus envie de partir ! - Un lieu où s’y sent bien dès qu’on arrive grâce a un accueil chaleureux et une décoration magnifique. On a apprécié le respect pour la nature et les animaux. Le dîner et le petit déjeuné sont vraiment excellents. Nous étions avec notre enfant de 2 ans et demi, ils ont été très attentionnés pour ses goûts afin de lui faire plaisir. Le personnel ainsi que les propriétaires sont aux petits soins durant tout le séjour. Nous n’hésiterons pas à revenir si nous avons l’occasion de revenir au Kruger. Merci pour tout ! -

- Teresa (9/5): Wonderful stay in a charming little lodge - The owner Willy is the best thing about this place. He, along with his staff, are so kind and helpful. The evening Boma is special with good food and nice conversation with Willy presiding over the meal. The tent I was staying in was beautiful. There was turn down service each evening with a little chocolate left on each pillow. The AC was wonderful. The excursions that I booked through the lodge were wonderful: especially the all day safari with Christoph. The evening safari is also a must. One of the tent zippers wasn’t working so we couldn’t get sunshine in through the front entrance. The tent always had to be closed.

- Michaela (10/5): Wunderschön im Busch von Südafrika mit dem nötigen Luxus - Die nette Betreuung durch die Gastgeber, das wundervolle Essen und die vielen Tiere. Gut gelegen für den Krügerpark. Die Loge ist sehr familiär, nicht überfüllt. Die Besitzer leben mit der Natur und sind nachhältig und dankbar für ihre Umgebung. Einfach toll und wirklich empfehlenswert mit Kindern!!!
- Amanda (10/5): I would highly recommend everyone to visit this place. - This is an absolutely incredible place, offering a profound sense of peace and tranquility. On the property, you can see wild animals such as zebras and kudus roaming freely, which makes the experience truly special. All the food is homemade and absolutely delicious. The service is exceptional — the owners take wonderful care of you at all times and genuinely ensure that you get the very best out of your trip and overall experience. For example, one of the owners personally drove us to a restaurant for lunch, and we were upgraded to a stunning accommodation because it was our honeymoon. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this place.

- Philip (10/5): Safari Glamping with South African soul, history and community. - Absolutely amazing, magical place to stay that adds to the Safari experience. Staying near Kruger doesn't get any better, with giraffe, warthogs and zebra around the breakfast table. Awesome surroundings, with genuine African decor and a history of the area. Aircon in the tent to escape the heat, really comfortable bed and spacious shower. Knowledgable and friendly hosts at a location with quick access to Kruger South where we saw the big 5 up close on our first day. The hosts are well connected in the area to help you with your outings and help make your stay the best. We really enjoyed the communal dining and home cooked food every night that was better quality than eating out, however the circle brai set out I don't think will be for everyone if you enjoy your privacy when eating, but then the option to do your own thing for dinner is also there!

There are wild pigs, kudu’s, wildebeest, bush baby’s and lots of zebra’s. The food is also wonderful. The owners made us feel super welcome and even got us a honeymoon surprise with bubbels! Nothing!

- Brian (10/5): Did it live up to the great reviews - yes it certainly did! - Selected Wielewaal Bush Lodge after reading so many great reviews across a number of websites. Expectations were high and boy were they met and exceeded on our short 3 night stay. Owners were so helpful arranging transfers and safaris in advance. We stayed in Zebra tent, a great experience - luxury under canvas. Traditional breakfast enjoyed with Zebras, Mongoose, Warthogs, Kudo etc. Dinners were traditional and varied, eaten at the Boma A magical experience - I would not consider staying anywhere else if lucky enough to return to Kruger

- Aires Almeida (10/5): Experiência cinco estrelas - Ficámos absolutamente rendidos ao Wielewaal Bush Lodge. Tudo é extremamente limpo e muito bem decorado, com um toque acolhedor que nos fez sentir em casa desde o primeiro minuto. O ambiente é claramente familiar e a hospitalidade é irrepreensível. Os donos e os empregados são super simpáticos e atenciosos, sempre disponíveis para ajudar. Os jantares foram maravilhosos, com cozinha tradicional da África do Sul bem confecionada e saborosa. De manhã, o pequeno-almoço fantástico ganha ainda mais magia graças à companhia da fauna local. Uma experiência única. Um extra que fez toda a diferença: trataram da reserva de um safari fantástico ao Parque Kruger, tudo de forma simples e eficiente. Em suma, um alojamento muito acolhedor que reúne conforto, atenção ao detalhe e um serviço de excelência. Recomendo vivamente e voltaria sem hesitar. Foi tudo maravilhoso.

The hosts, Willie and Retha, were absolutely amazing and ma - I had the most incredible stay at Wielewaal Bush Lodge in Marloth Park. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in the heart of the bush - surrounded by wildlife that came right up to the lodge. Waking up to Kudus and warthogs passing by while having breakfast was such a surreal experience. The real highlight though was the hosts, Willie and Retha, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and their warmth and personal touch made the whole stay unforgettable. And the food… wow! Every meal was a treat, beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Dinner around the boma under the stars, was pure magic. Nothing, I loved everything
- Nikita (10/5): Perfecte locatie - De mensen zijn vriendelijk. De fooi die je geeft is voor het personeel. Het is een ware belevenis. Het eten is lekker. De kamer was prachtig. De muggen, maar daar kunnen de eigenaar niet nog meer tegen doen. Tijdens het avondeten wordt de kamer ingespoten, de kamer wordt goed afgesloten, er zijn horren aanwezig en is er insectenspray aanwezig om jezelf in te spuiten.
- Mees (10/5): - De locatie was geweldig, we ontbeten buiten in het Marloth park. Bij ons ontbijt kwamen zebra's, impala's, wrattenzwijnenen mangoesten langs. Een hele bijzondere ervaring! Daarnaast waren de eigenaren en het personeel extreem gastvrij en hebben we heerlijk gegeten. Ik heb zelden zo'n fijne ervaring gehad!
- Domenico (10/5): Außergewöhnliche Lodge, tolles Essen, viel Liebe zum Detail und tolle Tierwelt - Ein ganz außergewöhnlicher Ort, der mit unendlich Liebe zum Detail betrieben wird. Die Unterkünfte sind fantastisch ausgestattet, das Essen (abends und morgens) war unschlagbar. Das Hostel wird professionell und mit viel Herzblut betrieben. Das Integrieren in die Tierwelt ist großartig und das war mein Highlight! Es gab immer was zum beobachten, es sind sogar Giraffen vorbeigekommen! Die Mitarbeiter und der Service sind fantastisch und sehr herzlich. Insgesamt wird das Thema Kolonialismus sehr stark präsentiert, das sollte man im Vorfelde wissen, da dies geschichtlich nicht unumstritten ist. Ich möchte das nicht als negativen Punkt anführen, weil es Teil der Geschichte des Landes ist, es aber hier erwähnen. Das Abendessen wird sehr zelebriert, bietet aber aufgrund der Sitzordnung kaum Gelegenheit zum Austausch mit anderen Gästen. Vielleicht könnte man das nochmal überdenken. Ist aber nur meine persönliche Meinung. Die „Show“ durch die schwarzen Mitarbeiter (Gesänge, Trommeln) beim Essenbringen habe ich nicht gebraucht und fand ich persönlich unangemessen. Das Essen selber ist fantastisch!

Adoramos a experiência do café da manhã em que os kudus o javalis estavam próximos. As instalações também são muito confortáveis. O Wi-Fi às vezes não funciona tão bem, mas faz parte de estarmos em um lugar na natureza.

A luxurious, yet down-to-earth accommodation with everything you need to fully relax and surround yourself with all the beauty of what nature has to offer. Everywhere you look you can see animals! The breakfast is lucious and the quality surprised us every morning! The dinners were a real experience and the staff are just wonderful! The four lovely ladies in the kitchen make the most amazing dishes and Jeremiah and Leonarda make sure all the facilities run as they should! Of course a shout out to our superb hosts Marietta and Willy!

- David (10/5): A highlight of our roadtrip - The warmth, the love, the attention that Willy and Marietta (and their staff) brought to us is amazing. Here we really felt welcome. We were on a roadtrip in SA and we stayed here 2 nights. In total we stayed in 15 different locations in SA and this one was the most exceptional, the one where we would like to return first. The decorations throughout the lodge (and in our tent) - much like a museum, the cooking quality of Marietta, the daily dinner event in the boma (only for this I´d come over), the breakfast with zebra´s, impala´s, kudu´s, ... Our children (and we of course) were so impressed. And so happy. One day we almost literally bumped on a giraffe in their car parking area (imagine standing 1m from a giraffe and only then noticing it). Willy noticed this and took/shared pictures of this experience with us. I do hope we will return soon to SA... and this would be the first location we´d (re)book.

We were treated like family. We also had a wonderful time with the other guests there: you have your privacy when you want it, but there is a small community dimension we very much appreciated. The food (both @ breakfast and dinner) was amazing, and the whole atmosphere is peaceful and breathtaking. Animals walking by. Safe area very close to Crocodile river and to the entrance of Kruger national park. Go for it :-)

It was very nice. The place itself was made with great love, every detail is imbued with it. The owner is an amazingly talented and very beautiful woman. She created this place herself! And her husband is a very kind and sympathetic person. We were incredibly glad that we chose the lodge for our honeymoon. Dinners was amazing. It is incredibly delicious and beautiful! It is a whole performance with elements of culture and history. And breakfasts with a view of zebras and other animals are amazing. Our best breakfast in South Africa. - Robin (10/5): Wildlife, adventure & home comforts - Our stay at Wielewaal was unforgettable! Willie & Rheta were the perfect hosts, the food was fabulous, and the atmosphere was truly unique. So much detail and care was put into the decoration and furnishing of the lodge, and the table setting at every meal. The staff were so helpful and dedicated, and we loved learning about the local wildlife from Jeremiah. We also booked multiple safari trips through the lodge, which were well-organised and with a fantastic guide. The best part of course is that the lodge is surrounded by wildlife, who often come right up to the breakfast table! Wielewaal is the perfect combination of comfort and adventure. The shower temperature is difficult to control, but that's part of living in the bush. You can always run a bath instead to get the water at the right temperature.

We were very pleased to have chosen Marloth Park, as an area to stay, as it feels like you’re still in the bush, and it’s easy to reach Kruger. Wielewaal was the icing on the cake, making full use of their location to create a little wildlife oasis. There are kudu and zebra at breakfast time and bushbabies in the evening - it was a really special place. Excellent and hearty food! We felt very well cared for!

They make SA-n food, make from fresh ingredients and of course by hart! The whole Lodge environment is so special, I couldn't find a word when we arrived. Very welcoming and beautiful..amazing! Room was clean and nice, the bed was extremely comfy. We wish we could have stayed longer... Thank you so very much for everything Retha and Willie, you give us much more than enough! The beds super comfortable. There really aren't enough words to explain how amazing this lodge is. The high ratings say it all really.
