- Valerie (5/5): Good location but we didn't get what we paid for, which was disappointing. - It was close to everything. We did not get the room we paid for because it hadn't been cleaned. The room we were given was in a dark corner, under a stairwell. The room had ants. The TV was not cable so we couldn't get any major channels so we missed an NBA playoff game. We were told only half the TVs get cable and unfortunately ours wasn't one of them. Very disappointed.
- Happiness755462 (2/5): Will never stay here again - First they assigned us a room that was already occupied. We were confused why our key wasn't working, then housekeeping tried to help. They ignored the "Do not disturb" sign and opened the door to an occupied room. Luckily the people there weren't indecent, but we were made very uncomfortable regardless. Then they assigned us a room on the other side of the property that doesn't exist. After 3 tries and walking the entire facility with all our bags, we finally got a viable room. Aside from this, the pillows were lousy and the shower was gross. We made a point to find other hotels with the same location who appear to have more professionalism. We'll never stay here again.

- Matthew (6/5): Good Dewey Beach Location - great location near bars/restaurants and short walk to the beach… room decent, good bed again got charged for parking… 2 of 3 hotels on this trip charged for onsite parking… this is off-season at the beach when parking is free everywhere in town on the street… very disappointing to charge customer who has paid for room… charged $15/day, even though i was told i would be charged $12/day advertised on Booking app… bathroom could have been cleaner, sink in bathroom hardly drained

- Lea (10/5): Perfectly located hotel in Dewy with excellent staff. Super close to the beach, clean pool. - The staff was the best. The staff found us a room early even though we did not pay for early check in but arrived early. That was very very nice. The two sisters at the desk were absolutely wonderful. The housekeeper lady was also very nice and upon leaving my pillow by accident she ran out to the parking lot to give it to me before I left! Thank you so much we had a very positive experience. Walk to the beach was super short and perfect. Room could have been a little cleaner, surfaces like the table were sticky, but overall we were very happy and will come again. Booking.com said parking was included staff said it was not but did not have us pay it due to the discrepancy. That issue definitely needs to be fixed because we use booking.com all the time and I don't like to be surprised by extra fees when I get to the hotel. (As I said staff was great and didn't make us pay)

- Dawn (2/5): NEVER AGAIN - Found a mouse in the bathroom. The chain lock for the front door fell off. None of the clocks work throughout the motel. Motel was supposed to be newly renovated. It was not. The pool was dirty with hair and debris. Front desk did not have a care in the world. Plus! You have to pay to park in the motels parking lot. WTH?

- Delawareonthego (4/5): Dirty rooms! - This is the 2nd year in a row that we stayed here, but will be the last. Each year we volunteer for the "Dewey Goes Pink" event, so we get a room for one night. Last year we had an awful room, but decided to give it another try this year because the location is excellent. Unfortunately this year was worse. I guess you get what you pay for, but for over $200 a night during off-season, I expected a clean room. I don't expect anything fancy for that price, but clean. The floors were filthy. Our feet were black just walking to and from the bathroom. There were dust balls in most corners and a lot of the wood molding is rotten and falling apart. The worst part was all the mold on the inside of the shower. Our friends room was the same.

Would not let us check in at 3:15 pm as all rooms were still being cleaned. This was false. The room was dirty despite having to wait and had bugs flying around. This property is not worth the money or hassle.

The location is absolutely perfect — just steps from the beach, which made it super easy to go back and forth throughout the day. Everything you need is within walking distance: restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a little market right across the street if you need anything quick. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were really comfortable too, which made winding down after a beach day that much better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun, walkable beach getaway!

- Lori342 (10/5): Great location and friendly staff - Spent a weekend in Dewey for the first time and loved it so much we came back for a second weekend. This time around we stayed at Beach House, one of the party block hotels. My husband dealt with Isaac, the manager, and he was great! Very friendly, greeted us personally when we arrived, couldn’t have asked for more. We had a king room with a separate living area with a pull out couch and 2 full bathrooms which was perfect for our group. Our room was on the end of the 3rd floor (no elevators) and we had a partial/small view of both the ocean and bay. Location of the hotel is perfect, short walk to all the bars, shops, restaurants and the beach. We love live music so hearing the bands from our room was an added bonus. The pool didn’t have many chairs while we were there but it also was September. Dewey isn’t a cheap town to stay in so for the price point we’re happy with our accommodations and are already looking at booking for next year. Many thanks to Isaac and the staff for a fun, enjoyable weekend!

For the cost of the hotel in comparison to others in the area, the room was very clean despite that. Will definitely consider this hotel again!
- David (4/5): - This hotel will not clean your room unless you beg. Not nearly enough towels, they could not resupply TP unless asked. The front desk told us they have had trouble with their housekeeping, but they could not do anything, that the Housekeeping Mgr is supposed to handle that. I explained I did not want to get involved with their internal hierarchy, we just wanted to get our room cleaned. I asked to see the Manager, but was told he was not available. I asked the front desk to have the hotel manager contact me, but we were never contacted. This hotel is way overpriced for the poor quality of the rooms, only a very small table and 2 metal mesh chairs to use in the room. Very cramped, phone did not work. We will never stay there again and will recommend others not to as well. Oh, they did have an operating ice machine.

- Jessica (4/5): Now paying for parking? - We have been coming here for years and this was the first year there was a parking fee so that was pretty disappointing. Also, while it’s not the hotels fault, the type of people that are staying here are getting worse year after year. It was 3-4 AM with the whole balcony area drunk and screaming. Bars close at 1. It woke me up because it was so loud. It just doesn’t feel like a safe or fun place to stay anymore for me to be honest.

I realize that it isn't the same owners, but one would have hoped new owners would have wanted to improve on things, but instead, let things deteriorate further. Beds were horrible, my hips ached for several days afterwards. Ac smelled bad. No room cleanings. We arrived super early, 1130. I didnt expect to get in room right away, but possibly a bit early. I knew what room I was getting, and watched. The room appeared clean, bed made, towels placed on bed. Door open, for over 3 hrs. I went and checked in office about room, was reminded again that check in is at 4. Now, my son and his family also booked a room, arrived around 1 pm, and got into their room right away. My room was not ready until just after 4 pm. Poor customer service policy. I will never stay here again. Beds were horrible, bad customer service.

- aschia908146 (8/5): All excellent, one major detractor (for us - maybe a non-issue for others) - Excellent in every way - our king suite was spacious, super clean, modern furnishings, high end hotel quality bedding. Two large high quality t.v.s in separate rooms, much appreciated by the kids. One major down side - a number of people smoked right outside their rooms. I guess smokers don't realize that smoke drifts. Prevented us from using the chairs on the balcony outside our room, which had a great view. The hotel should prohibit smoking outside rooms. The pool area is a minute away. Limit it to that location so at least people can enjoy all aspects of their (not cheap) rooms. Thanks. Again, everything else was great.

- designo23 (4/5): An expensive disappointment. - The only good thing I can say about this hotel is its location and proximity to the beach and restaurants in Dewey Beach. Because the rooms are accessed from outside walkways in front of the rooms, you cannot keep your shades open. Although the windows are large, they do not open so you can't enjoy this sea air. So because you have to keep the shade drawn all the time, you might as well be in a box anywhere. Rooms are very barren and what was particularly bad was the smell of urine from the bathroom as if it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. I should have asked for another room perhaps, but I didn't want to move. For what we had to pay, it was not worth it. We will not be staying here again.

The cleanliness of the bathroom did not met my standard which I understand may not be the same for others. The tub grout was yellow and black. It needed a deep clean. The floors also needed a good mopping. Sleep quality was ok. The club across the street has a band our last night and we could hear that loud and clear. Not the hotels fault but if you had little kids this would be a problem.

Hotel room is cleaned and nice. The beach is just 4 minutes walk from the hotel so you can go anytime. It’s very convenient, the stores and restaurants are just across the street. We decide to stayed another day because we really love the place. Planning to stay there again next time. We definitely recommend this hotel.

- U526VTnicoler (10/5): Clean. Comfortable. Great location. - We take a yearly trip to Dewey every year and usually get a beach house for a full week. This year, we decided to take a shorter trip and book a room instead. After much research, we decided to go with the Block Party hotels. At first we were skeptical considering beach rooms are usually seedy and dirty. However, much to our surprise our room was bright, clean and comfortable . There are two pools on either side and both have plenty of space, shade and sun depending on your preference. The attached coffee house has beautiful deck where you can utilize the extra space for a nice sunset happy hour or a comfortable breakfast. The service was also fantastic. Check in was really easy and towels were provided upon request. The outside gym was a nice bonus as well. Best of all though, is the location. The hotel can’t have a better location in Dewey- barely a block from the beach with lots of dining options surrounding. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun spot in Dewey.

- Cynthia (8/5): - Enjoyed our one night stay. Very close walk to the beach. Very convenient to restaurants and night life. Parking is a bit tight and there is a charge to park.

- D7784PQtammyb (8/5): Great location but beware of pricing - Nice place and great location. Was unhappy that I had to pay to park, it was not known prior to arrival. I would have been more open to stay elsewhere had I known. Not the hotels fault, but one night of our two night stay the main bars/restaurants were closed for employee party. Odd to have in the height of summer vacations.
