Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location to mall and all museums. Check in super easy.
- Anthony (10/5): A must stay and enjoy the location and sites. - Great location with a fantastic price with a view that is hard to beat....better that most hotels I have stayed it. I would highly recommend this site to any one looking to visit the Nation's Capital. I would most certainly stay again. Picture below is from the roof top terrace....FANTASTIC VIEW
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely space, very comfortable and clean, great concierge, incredible location
- Wilifred (10/5): Graduation Trip - What a great find! Reasonably priced and yet so close to all the major sites in DC! Having a decently-equipped kitchen was great. The management was very helpful in letting us rent the party room for a post-graduation get-together. If you don't require the full services of a hotel this is an absolute gem!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good District to stay - Very central, good base for sightseeing in DC. Just few blocks to see all the museums, monuments, and memorials. The apartment is a good size for 2 (two).
- Jim (10/5): Spacious apartment right on the DC Mall - Lovely views, clean bright space, comfortable, walkable.
- Russell (10/5): A trip that I didn’t want to end Thank You - We came to DC for a vacation and to see the sights. Location was the best, we enjoyed are stay and felt very secure. My wife was extremely happy with are accommodations we had a great time and would recommended you.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The apartment is in a great location, well equipped and comfortable. It does need black out curtains (or you will need to be creative with spare flat sheets), but otherwise it’s ideal.
- Daphne (8/5): Location!!! - Big Bus stop in front of Newseum Residencies, very convenient.
- Thomas (10/5): Great apartment and location!!! - It is difficult finding a place close to the Mall at a reasonable price. The Weichert Suites at the Newseum was perfect. Very close to the Capitol building and Smithsonian Museums we couldn't have asked for a better location. The apartment itself was great. It was clean and had a modern design and having two bedrooms allowed us to have plenty of space. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Newseum Suites - The location was fantastic and the room was clean. Check-in was easy and there is free coffee on the second floor. The queen bed in the bedroom was comfortable and reasonably dark. However, the mattress on the sleeper couch was the most uncomfortable that I have encountered possibly ever and at least one of the vertical blind slats was missing and the room was therefore too light at night.
- Pete (10/5): Loved the location! - Great location! Friendly staff, loved having the kitchen and two rooms. Great value...Will book again on next visit...
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great suite -- but no hotel accommodations at all! - Very nice suite but has no hotel accommodations at all -- no fresh towels daily, no bed making, no vacuuming, no trash removal, no coffee shop, no small store for needed travel items, no bar, no pool or hot tub. NO PARKING. The living room vertical blinds had a panel missing. One of the sofa end table lamps could not be turned on because the stem on the on/off switch was missing. There was no toilet paper provided for the bathroom. On checking out, you have to carry your trash to a trash chute yourself. The location is great for visiting the National Gallery of Art and the National Mall. Many restaurants are nearby including high-priced as well as cheaper.
- Marilyn (8/5): - Great location and facilities. One problem! The sofa bed had springs uncovered. After several tries they brought a pad and cover but should have been done before so we had one miserable night. We booked for four people so they should have had that done ahead. Employees were great
- FDR (8/5): Great location near National Mall - For us it was all about location, location, location. The Newseum Concierge staff member Ivan was outstanding. Pleasant and helpful even though we booked through Wiechert. We arrived on a Wed and got to participate in the Wed night social. It was a blast and we met some fine people.
The room was clean. However, it faced the construction of a new multi-story building which started up in the early am so if you are out and about early, this shouldn't be a problem.
Would have preferred a king size bed. The sofa bed they advertised is extremely uncomfortable unless you like the feel of springs in your back.
Temperature control was locked so we couldn't adjust it. As such, the room was warmer than we wanted and no way to cool it down.
Plenty of towels for our stay.
Back to location, location, location. We walked everywhere we needed to go. Checked out all the relevant museums and pleasant eateries also within walking distance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): I wanted to move in and never leave... very nice. - Almost perfect. The apartment was missing two things -- kitchen linens and dishwasher soap. LOVED IT.
- sqm (10/5): Perfect location for exploring the mall - My only complaint is that our apartment windows looked into a multistory construction site on the other side of the street. Having the blinds open during the day was not a comfortable option. Since we were gone most of the daylight hours it was OK.
- Chris (10/5): Great location, clean and comfortable - Great location, clean and comfortable apartment in DC.
- Sherrill (10/5): Wonderful stay. - Wonderful to be so close to everything we wanted to see. Very friendly and informative concierge service.
- Oliviasoma (10/5): Nice and central to DC activities - Enjoyed our stay but the AC did not keep the apartment cool. Had it set on 65 degrees and still felt hot. Maintenance came and changed the filter but did not help. Overall, great stay and would give another try.
