I would come back if I had to. - It was extremely quiet, other guests were quiet the beds were very nicely made The refrigerator didn't stay that cold and when we put it on max it was very loud. I also noticed that when we first got in there were some weird stains/ spill stains on the counter tops that weren't cleaned. And then stains on that bathtub that made me question if it was clean. But other than those it was very neat and tidy.

Minutes from freeway, restaurants and grocery store. New owners are in the process of updating rooms, so not everything was working properly or finished yet. Would have liked some sheers on windows so room could get some light without total exposure to walkway. TV is small with limited choices.

Also, motion lights come on if you start walking around. New comfy beds and remodeled, clean big rooms The only fault was the huge stack of laundry that fell out into the common walkway.

- Rocco (10/5): Great spot on the way to tahoe - Great spot on the way to tahoe, about an hour outside of south lake tahoe. It was newly renovated, and the room was huge. Check in was smooth and the guy at the desk was nice. If I was to get nit picky, the room was super big and didn't have many furnishings so it looked a little bare. But that's a super nit pick.

- Mark (8/5): Very pleasant, no frills stay in Pollock Pines - Our room was huge and our beds and bedding were comfortable. Everything worked perfectly in the room, e.g. heater, shower, etc. Staff was very pleasant and check-in/out was quick and simple. It was a very pleasant stay for us. Some elements of the room were in need of repair or replacing, e.g. no functioning stopper in one of the sinks. The hotel abuts the freeway, so it can be noisy (thank goodness for the continuous fan option in the heater!)

The concierge was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to others. One of the small windows in the room lacked curtains. If you are sensitive to light, it can be an issue.

They were working on updating the tv’s and tables/chairs in other rooms at the time so those will be new next time we visit. The staff were all super friendly. This is on the east end of Apple Hill which is perfect since we come from that side. The security cameras and automatic lights around the property make me feel safe. The bathrooms still need some updating but they’re working on that. Not a lot of food options without driving west a bit. But it’s not that far. However this feels like a better neighborhood than the motels closer to placerville where more options are.

I've always enjoyed staying here in the past because of the friendly staff, cleanliness, etc. Now under new ownership and management, the place is being completely renovated and updated to a new level of loveliness. And I'm glad to see that the tradition of friendly, helpful staff continues and far exceeds expectations. Thanks for the lovely stay. I'll see you all next time :-)

Smoke alarm was taped together in bedroom Replace bedding or use stain removal to rid them of stains. Finish painting around bathroom exhaust, replace broken smoke alarm. Little things would make a BIG difference

The bathroom could use some more hooks for wet towels or clothing. There are only 2 small hooks right above the toilet paper, which is not a good location as it gets in the way of the roll of toilet paper.

- Isaac (9/5): We always stay here when we come up to visit our family. Great place to stay! - The Westhaven is conveniently located. Very short drive to Apple Hill and Placerville. And the drive down to South Lake Tahoe in one direction or the Sacramento/Folsom are the other isn't very long. In fact, you are right in the middle here. The nice couple that runs this hotel are always friendly and easy to work with. And the rooms are big with in room coffee!

- K (9/5): Superb - I come here every year in early June to spend time outdoors. This place is always nice and reasonably priced. It is family run and they take good care of it and are very kind. The rooms are large, well insulated from highway noise, and have great small refrigerators. They also have a tiny balcony with sliding glass doors so you don’t feel it boxed-in.
- Francesca (4/5): Unprofessional, Invasive Staff - It was great that there was availability as our decision to stay in the area overnight was last minute decision. Our stay was decent, just overnight. However, the next morning, the woman who checked us in came into our room without permission, grabbed the room key from above the television and turned the tv off, telling us it was time to leave. I have never dealt with hotel staff as unprofessional as she was. When she had seen the confused look on my face because she came into our room as we were gathering our belongings to pack into our vehicle, she asked with attitude “what?” And I said “this is very strange that you are in our room right now” and she replied “I don’t care, you’re taking up my time”. Given, check out is at 11am, and it was 11:06am, but that doesn’t justify her stepping into the room unannounced and doing what she had done. I also have young children in the room which caused a few minutes of our delay. This woman needs to understand that this behavior is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. We will not be returning and I will leave a review on every platform for this particular Inn.

The room was also much larger than expected and had a porch area in back The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. We could actually feel the springs in the mattress. The refrigerator also didn't work which was a big problem because I had medication that needed to stay refrigerated. Also had ants on the vanity.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful The rooms had some weird smell, like been closed for a long time, and I made a reservation for 4 people and the room had only 2 towels. (however they gave me the extra 2 when asked)

It is only a few minutes away from Apple Hill ( I highly recommend visiting this place) and Placerville. Rooms are huge and have in room coffee. This is our hotel of choice every time we visit this area!
