The room was clean, we had to ask for an extra mattress topper as the bed was too firm for our liking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was near to the Japanese walking streets and beside a massage parlour that had people hanging about… a very busy area. The breakfasts were very limited for the non Asian options.

(Since the welcome drink was supposed to be complimentary, I assumed that the instant coffee placed next to it was meant to be prepared with this water.)

• Eduardo (4/5): Poor service - They moved me to a different hotel because there was an electric issue with my room. They don't have iron in the room, something quite basic in a business hotel. They offered me to iron my shirts for the following day ( which didn't solve my problem because I had an early meeting in the morning and the shirts would not be ready). When I checked out they charged me for the "free" iron service. I can't get used to the poor Vietnamese service.

We were offered a room at Roseland Sweet hotel just metres away. The only issue was we had a shower over the bath and I had booked a shower. The staff are wonderful.

• Regina (10/5): Hidden HCMC Gem - I had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Roseland Group of hotels were extremely accommodating. I booked at Roseland Corp at the last minute, and I ended up needing to check in early (12.00 PM). Roseland Corp didn't have any rooms ready for me. Rather than let me wait until 2.00pm, the front desk asked if I would be interested in checking in to Roseland Centa, which was about a block and a half away. The property was pristine, and all staff have been extremely helpful. I was greeted on the first day by Ken, the bellman who helped me with my luggage and reseting the safe in my room. I found out the next day that the safe was actually malfunctioning, and front desk sent a repairman (I didn't catch his name), and he worked very quickly! I think he might have fixed the issue in under a half hour. The front desk/concierge Ti was extremely helpful. I needed assistance with some things before my trip to Ha Noi, and she was able to assist me. Ti's customer service was impeccable. I had a housekeeper named My who cleaned my room daily. I was never without fresh towels and a clean room. The property was conveniently located in Little Tokyo, which had convenient stores, restaurants, and banks nearby to withdraw VND. The Opera House and Saigon Centre, even the waterfront, was within a walkable distance. The area could get a little sketchy with all of the working girls and men at night, but the property itself felt completely safe. A big and burly gentleman in a white collar shirt was usually posted in the lobby, and he kept a watchful eye of people entering and leaving the property. The breakfast buffet was delicious. There were many choices, and the menu varied each day. The staff were, as usual, attentive. Overall, Roseland offered a good value for the amount of nights that I stayed: a convenient location, wonderful and attentive staff, and great amenities. As vibrant as the area became at night, the hotel also had good soundproofing. There are A LOT of working girls at night and unsavory-looking men roaming around. However, you will find that whether you're staying in or around D. Bui Ven, the Sheraton, or Little Tokyo. For the price per night and sense of privacy, Roseland Group is a hidden gem. I would prefer Roseland Centa as opposed to Roseland Corp due to its central location.

Staff are attentive and helpful, in particular Nancy at the counter whom patiently gave us direction and tips on tourist spots and restaurant recommendations. Sun, who is the door man helped us diligently with luggages and transportation arrangement.

Room was comfortable, though oddly bath had gaps. Windows kept out some noise. Area looks quiet but like everywhere in Saigon continous noise. It was near to some places and the river.

• Keiji (4/5): - 過去のホーチミン出張も毎回こちらのホテルを利用しておりました。 今回は２泊しました。 初日、部屋に入ると大量の蚊がおり、自分で14匹の蚊を殺しました。全部は殺せませんでした。 海外出張時は毎回日本のベープマットを持参しているのですが、今回なぜか効力がなく大変でした。 特にシャワールームは蚊だらけ。 日本のワンプッシュタイプのスプレー殺虫剤を持参してくるべきでした。 ちなみに翌朝スタッフにこの事を相談したところ、２日目は初日より格段に蚊の量は減りましたが、それでも4匹自分で殺しました。 またシャワーヘッドをキープする金具のサイズがマッチしていないため、シャワーを出すとシャワーヘッドが暴れまくりますので気をつけないといけませんでした。 スタッフはみんな親切で助かりますが、蚊による感染症が怖いので次回の出張時は別のホテルを検討します。

The shower is interesting as it’s a hand held but at full power would spray the entire bathroom. You have to adjust it and it’s tricky. They cleaned the room every day and supplied fresh coffee and waters.

• tamu2628 (6/5): Great Breakfast To Go - The Roseland Corp Hotel and Spa was conveniently located in the Old Quarter of Ho Chi Minh City, close to the Opera House in District 1, and walking distance to numerous restaurants. I stayed in Room 705 for two nights. I requested a non-smoking room because of asthma, but the room smelled overwhelmingly, with nicotine. The sweet chamber maid tried her best to spray the room but the nicotine smell lingered. Besides the nicotine odor, the air condition unit in my room was positioned in such a way that cold air was directed at the headboard. I had to turn the bedding around to avoid the cold air blasting on my head. It was the first time I saw a Japanese toilet in a hotel bathroom. The tub was unusual because there was a gap between the tub and the wall (see photo). Hence, water was sprayed into this gap as I showered. I loved that the hotel provided Vietnamese coffee and green tea in lieu of Nestle coffee and Lipton tea. The breakfast room was one floor above the lobby and had a variety of Asian dishes, such as pork buns, fried rice, beef pho etc. I was especially impressed that the hotel was willing to pack me an absolutely delicious "take out" breakfast box at 4:30 a.m.!
• SUNJONG (4/5): 지불된 가격이 아까운 호텔 - 지난번 경험과는 다르게 이번에는 욕실에서 냄새가 났음. 청소가 제대로 되어있지 않고 샤워 커튼에는 냄새가 많이 남. 변기 주변에 원인을 모르는 물 웅덩이가 있었음. 방에서 냄새가 나고 창문은 옆 건물과 닿을 정도로 가까워서 커튼을 치고 있어야 했음. 방음이 잘 되지 않아서 복도에 지나 다니는 사람 소리가 들리고 직원들이 시끄럽게 움직여서 숙면에 방해가 되었음.

• SUNJONG (10/5): 가성비 좋은 호텔 - 전반적으로 가격대비 나쁘지 않은 호텔. 1군 지역에서 다방면으로 접근성이 괜찮고 주변에 괜찮은 음식점들이 있기 때문에 쉬다가 나와서 밥먹기도 괜찮음. 약간 낡은 느낌이 있는 호텔이지만 관리 자체는 잘 되어 있음. 주변이 번화한것은 맞지만 구도심 같이 번화하지만 낙후된 느낌이 있어서 약간 아쉽긴 함. 그렇지만 가격과 입지, 룸 컨디션, 서비스 질을 생각 한다면 다시 방문할 의사가 있는 호텔.
