Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - (1) Good & various breakfast (2) Nice attitude (3) Big room (4) hope to get more TV channels
- Rose (8/5): Weekend Staycation - Room is just normal but the bed and pillows are comfy. Breakfast spread is pretty good. They have a bar on the 5th floor next to the swimming pool and gym. It is nice to sit there for drinks and snacks. The hotel were making preparations for the owner's son's wedding so the food service was super slow. We have to wait about 30 mins for each order.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - very qieut
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This hotel location in the center of Yangon, good breakfast, room very clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Yoshihiro (10/5): - It was really pleasant stay with Jasmine Place hotel. I have arrived at the hotel around 10AM. But they allowed me to check in without charges. All people at the hotel, receptionists, housekeepers, security guards are really friendly and kind.
The room was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. One thing I was amazed was mini bar is free! I took energy drink everyday. But no charges!
The breakfast was great. Its venue is at the top of the hotel and you can enjoy breakfast with spectacular views. It offers variety of foods from Burmese, Chinese, and Indian. If you regard miso-soup as a Japanese food, Japanese is also included.
The location is bit away from the central. Within 10 minutes walk, you can reach to many shops from restaurants, laundry, convenience stores, etc. Yet, you can go to downtown in 15 minutes or so with grab. Perhaps around 3,000 kyat.
- Hirokazu (10/5): - The room was so nice, clean and comfort.
Breakfast is also nice, but i want more kind of bread little bit.
- Kentaro (10/5): -
- Mengwei (10/5): Best choice in Yangon - Highly recommended hotel, cleanly room with free minibar, nice gym, good restaurant, also staffs are very nice and speak fluently English.
- Clemence (8/5): Good location! - Jasmine hotel is located near the city centre, with shopping malls within walking distance.
- Scott (10/5): Family Stay!!! - I spent 2nights at Jasmine Palace with my family. The room and facilities was very nicely up to date. The room was very clean and staff were very helpful. The value for the value was definitely more than worth it. I will stay here again.
- Gaurav (4/5): -
Worst experience .... they even didn't clean the rooms properly
- JEONG MIN (10/5): good - very good place
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good Chinese restaurant, economic room rate, 10 min car ride from shopping
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The price of meal in the Chinese restaurant is very high.
- Verified traveler (8/5):
- Verified traveler (4/5): Excellent staff except only a few inexperienced - I stayed 5 times before because my first impression was very good one, pleasant staff and very helpful, clean room and swimming pool, not to mention one of the best breakfast in Yangon among this level of hotel. Unfortunately, a female receiptionist ho does everything by the book. All the sudden my stay here because unpleasant.
She may need some more experience to become better. I just hope to.come bck again. Because it's such A big loss not to be able to stay here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Recommendable hotel to stay in Yangon - Very clean, comfortable to stay.
Staff were well trained and service was satisfactory.
Will stay again at my next visit.
- SZ (8/5): - Stayed for 8 nights and 9 days.
Pros:
1. The breakfast selection was great
2. Fitness center was adequately equipped.
3. The staff at JPH is friendly and courteous.
4. The location is great, quite central.
Cons:
1. Some parts of the building and restrooms looked patched up and repaired. This isn't a negative point, just an observation. It made no difference to to my stay.
2. Poor internet speed and connectivity.
Overall, I am satisfied with my experience and would recommend it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Sehr bemüht, netter Pool und schöner Spabereich, gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis, schöne Aussicht vom Restaurant
- Veerasak (10/5): Excellent BF - Excellent breakfast
- Wong (6/5): - over all is fine
- Charles KS (10/5): - It is a nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff, and we also have a beautiful view from our hotel room. Thank you
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Shower room water leaking a lot shower head very hard to adjust
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice pool bar to enjoy happy hour. Great service by reception and concierge.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Dr Richard D (8/5): Good Value in Yangon - The room was large, pleasant and clean with good views and the staff was friendly and helpful. As well, the breakfast, gym and pool were all above average in quality. The only problem for those unfamiliar with Yangon, and how to get around easily by taxi, is that the hotel's location is a bit removed from the major places a tourist would wish to visit and there are few shops nearby..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nettes sauberes Stadthotel - Wir waren am Anfang und Ende unserer Rundreise jeweils 2 Tage hier und waren sehr zufrieden, Sehr aufmerksame und freundliches Personal, Frühstücksbuffet für jeden was dabei, netter bedachter Pool, modernes Fitneßstudio, WLAN Wir fühlten uns gut aufgehoben.
Je nach Verkehrsaufkommen zum Flugplatz 25 Min/ früh/Nachmittags, mind. 50 Minuten i Berufsverkehr einplanen. Außerhalb Essen gehen ca. 10-20 Min zu Fuß.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good and clean hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good and clean hotel. Staff is helpful and friendly.
- Piri (10/5): - Spacious room with friendly staffs. We can see the Shwedagon Pagoda from our room.
- Sabine (10/5): Nettes Stadthotel - Sehr aufmerksame und freundliches Personal, Frühstücksbuffet für jeden was dabei, netter berdachter Pool, modernes Fitneßstudio, WLAN Wir fühlten uns gut aufgehoben und werden wiederkommen.
- Benjamin (8/5): Good hotel - The beds were so comfortable and our room has great view of pagoda. The only thing is there was renovation on the pool and it was one of the reason for us to book this hotel. Unfortunately we could not use it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - An excellent hotel with reasonable room rates. About 4km from the city with easy access by bus or taxi. Staff are efficient and courteous. A well equipped gymnasium, but the swimming pool was being renovated. I would recommend this hotel for families.
- Joe (10/5): - I stayed 15 nights at the Jasmine Palace Hotel and it was a very pleasant experience. I was working just two kilometers from the hotel so it was an easy walk to the office. Breakfast was great and the restaurant had a few vegetarian options for dinner as well. The gym was well stocked with equipment, though the pool was being renovated during my stay. The renovations are now complete. The staff was attentive. I would stay there again if I return to Yangon.
- Michael (8/5): Good experiencve of a quality service. - The last night before flight home, and what a fantastic hotel. Great reception service and the restaurant view from the 21st floor is a must to do. Rooms were high standard and all staff were helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Swimming pool was not available so that was a disappointment
- Jan (8/5): - Lacking in Indian food in the morning and the available Indian food was pretty greasy.
- Stefan (8/5): Enjoyed our stay - Located between airport and centre, the main pagoda very close. Staff was very friendly, always helpful. When needing taxi they agreed upon the price with the driver for you (normally very cheap). Very convenient. Gym was ok equipped. Room was nice, had it all and was clean. Restaurant ok. The view was very good to the south.
- John Raphael (8/5): Luxury Northside - This luxury hotel (located in a tall tower) has wonderful, helpful staff and luxurious, comfortable rooms and good views. This makes up for the location, which is a bit further from the city centre than we would have liked. The hotel makes up for the location by being in easy reach of the airport, while boasting a lovely pool and bar in the sky, a fantastic breakfast at the top of the building. Definitely A good option in the north if the city.
- Daniel (10/5): Clean rooms -
The people were kind and the pool was nice
I liked the pool
- Giorgia (8/5): - Ottimo albergo, vicino alla pagoda Shwedagon raggiungibile in 25 minuti a piedi. Ottima e abbondante colazione al mattino. Camera confortevole e pulita
- Hans (10/5): New and very good hotel in Yangon. - A rather new hotel (opened in 2017 I think) and a very pleasant one.
Great service and high security.
The rooms are spacious and the beds are really nice.
The prices are what you expect in Yangon.
Breakfast (served with a view on 21st floor!) was good and more than enough of both asian and western. Several restaurants in the hotel gave you a lot of choices as well. And if you wanted to chill in the evening, you could always have some coffee or snacks in the pool bar (5th floor) or in the coffee shop in the lobby.
It is located just south of Inya Lake, so it is easy to get around in Yangon.
Recommend it!
- James (10/5): - My stay was for 3 nights while I explored Yangon. The hotel itself was excellent value for the amount spent with a great gym, spa, breakfast, etc. The location was okay however it was far enough away from the downtown and attractions of Yangon to require either a long walk or a taxi. The service of the staff was excellent.
- Kelly (8/5): - Few power dripped off case happened during my stay. Hope hotel management look into this case.
- sl (10/5): Nice n clean - Was a wonderful n comfortable 3 nights stay. Nothing much within the vicinity but pleasant stay
- Mywish (10/5): Comfortable place and hearty breakfast ! - A comfortable place located on the main road to/from airport and city center. Great food. Love their breakfast !
- Vince (10/5): - A very lovely hotel. Very much worth staying. Will definitely return if I have the chance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quality hotel - Recommend this hotel for quality of room, hotel facilities and good value. Location good for airport but also close to sights. Located on main road but no noise problem. Excellent cakes. Lovely breakfast prepared as takeaway when early checkout.
- Tim (10/5): Love this hotel - This was our second stay in this hotel. It is somewhat out the city but easy to get a taxi into town although due to the traffic it may take some time. However it is close to the Dagon shopping centre and there are some good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The reason we stay here is that it is close to where my son and his wife stay. Having said that this is an excellent hotel. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable and the buffet breakfasts on the 21st floor of the hotel are superb. and included in the room rate. The hotel is quite modern and has a pool, gym and bar.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful staff! Great breakfast, lovely comfortable rooms.
- Marc (8/5): Civilisation - After a daily jaunt into Yangon and surrounding area, it’s great to get back to home comforts.
- Cheng Tu (8/5): Internet speed is quite slow - Internet speed is quite slow, hard to connect.
- Judas (10/5): A little out of the the CBD but it suited us - Most of the the comments praise the facility but we didn't have a warm let alone hot shower during our 4 night/day stay. Staff were advised 1st night and 3rd morning to no avail. Disappointing!
- Marilyn (8/5): Highly Recommend - Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool area , the Spa and nice comfortable bed . We also appreciated the great breakfast choices, nice fresh fruit, awesome pastries.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Great location. Very clean. Very good food. The beds were comfortable. All the bottled water you wanted.
- Mar (10/5): Excellent location - Good base for working in Yangon and ideal for some evening sightseeing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good place to relax after work -
- Dr Priya (6/5): Spacious room. Hidden charges and untrained staff - Spacious room with a great view. However our trip got off to a bad start. I booked through hotels.com and was quoted a price of £63 per night for three adults. However when I had paid they had added £183 for four nights as tax recovery and services. I tried to cancel immediately but was told that I would still be charged £110! I tried calling their helpline but with no effect. So it cost nearly £110 a night which is not much cheaper than the Novotel Max a far superior hotel. Hotels.com said the extra charges were for the extra bed but I had been quoted for three adults (I have the screen shot to prove it). Felt very ripped off.
Our next nasty shock happened when we noticed that the pork dumplings at breakfast were raw in the middle. I had eaten a bit and my daughters had had two each. We had not expected this of a five star hotel so didnt look to check if they were raw in the middle. When I mentioned this to the chef on duty he seemed very nonchalant about it. It happened again and I complained again - this time we didnt eat any. Their staff are clearly not trained in food safety. They had simply put raw dumplings on the hot holding equipment thinking they would be cooked. We then had to waste half a day and lots of money finding a doctor who could give us anti-parasite medication to prevent tapeworm and trichinosis infection.
The last straw was when the bellboy ran into me with 3 suitcases on his way down the ramp - he didnt look! That could have ended badly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Hotel for business/leisure - Hotel room is quite comfy and spacious (new hotel opening since Sept 2015). Breakfast spread is decent and good enough to cater for most people. Hotel location is along the main road and you may caught in traffic jam on certain timing depend on whether you back to/from hotel.
- Kian Yong (4/5): No one inform about the penalty. - No one inform about the hotel is smoke free zone.
- Verified traveler (8/5): New Hotel, nice location - The hotel is new, very nice. Staff incredible, good breakfast. TV set didnt work very clear. Internet connection mediocre.
Windows dirty. Impossible to take a picture, despite the great view.
- Peng Cheau (10/5): Value gir money - Everything is good except the wifi is not stable. New hotel.
- Adam (8/5): Overall good experience - Overall condition is good.
Will be staying here for future business trips.
One thing to feedback - shower tap hot water is not hot enough.. cold at times..
- gary (10/5): Very helpful and wanted to help in many ways. - The restaurant offered many choices along with a buffet. Arranged for a car and Driver for a day. We had dinner every night at the buffet and considered it a great value.
- James Edwin (8/5): Great Gym - Spacious and comfortable room. Walking distance to the Shwedagon Pagoda. Huge plus is they have a great gym with a trainer (David).
- Alberto (10/5): Excellent
Pleasant staff
Always helpful
- Highly recomendable
Housekeeper always helpful
Staff very Professional
Good location
Breakfast can be improved( more fruit!!!)
Room excellent
Pool exceptional staff
Facilities very good
- Ari (8/5): Mostly good, but spotty wifi. - Very nice new hotel, well designed, comfortable. Unfortunately, internet was unreliable - this needs to be fixed ASAP.
- James Edwin (8/5): Short Stay - They had a very nice gym with helpful staff. Only negative was that we ordered a breakfast box when we checked in for the next morning because we had an early morning flight, but somehow they had no record of our order.
- DCF (10/5): The only Yangon I'll stay in from now on - Great hotel, easy access from airport. Not in the exact center of town, but that's good, because it's not so noisy. And cabs are plentiful and cheap to get anywhere. The staff were awesome, room was perfect, breakfast great.
Air China---one of world's worst airlines--lost my luggage for 3 days and hotel staff were awesome, calling airline multiple times daily for me--without my prodding.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Modern hotel, comfortable room, great breakfast - Newly built hotel in great location. Friendly staff, great breakfast with local and Western choices. Highly recommend.
- Ryan (10/5): Awesome stay! - Everything about this hotel was awesome. Room was clean and huge. Staff were fantastic. Great buffet in the restaurant. Best hotel gym I've ever seen. And the pool bar area was a great place to unwind with a couple of beers at end of the day. I loved the whole experience. Thanks to everyone at Jasmine Palace.
- Boris (10/5): My favorite hotel in Yangon thus far - We've stayed in the deluxe room. The room was fantastic... large, clean and had a beautiful city/pagoda view. The only negative was the water temperature always took a while to get warm and never reach the ideal hot level. That seems to be a consistent issue that we have encountered in other Yangon hotels. The included breakfast buffet was also top notch. We've also tried both the dinner buffet and a la carte menu in the restautant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel also has a really nice gym.
Overall, we found this hotel to be far superior in every aspsct than some of the more expensive ones such as Rose Garden.
- Atli Thor (8/5): Convenient and stylish hotel - Very god hotel with excellent bed!
- Tony (8/5): Good value for the money! - Comfortable stay, sizable, clean rooms, great breakfast spread.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very Nice New hotel. - The hotel is not far from the airport and it took us only around 35 minutes to reach the hotel. Which cost us less then 7 USD in today's rate.
The check in was fast and the service professional. Security seems good with enthusiastic well mannered security personnel and support staff.
The hotel looks very new new and well kept and it faces the main road which seems to be jam during peak hours. Shopping arcade is within walking distance but for a country that is recently only just open up. Don't expect the same standard as you would get back home.
Overall faculties meets a 4 star hotel and a little bit more.
Nice clean and comfy beds clean well kept rooms. Food needs improvement but overall not a bad place to stay.
- Cheng Chuan (8/5): Good business hotel - Perfect for business trip, good food at Chinese restaurant
- Mafe (8/5): Nice hotel, need few improvements - Breakfast is good, nothing special. Very friendly staff. The bar is nice but for our whole stay they didn't have charcoal for the hookah /shisha. We arranged airport pick up and it was on time. If you rather take a taxi at the airport, it will be around 7.000 local currency. Make sure to ask the price before getting in the car.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic, excellent and personal service, wide range of quality breakfast items.
- Ethan (10/5): Nice Hotel, Great Staff - I was in Yangon for Business trip. I used to stay in Sule Shangri-La, but it can be really expensive without planning ahead. I was in SE Asia and had a few days to fly in to Yangon so I booked Jasmine Palace through Hotels.com since it has good reviews. I didn't have high expectations but I really enjoyed the stay. Room size is good, breakfast is not bad, staff are very nice. I forgot my workout clothes when I checked out but hotel staff check my room for me and bring to me nicely folded which they didn't have to do. Customer service is great. I had hard time finding places to eat within walking distance may be I don't know the area well. Not as fancy as Sule Shangri-La in terms of facility wise but the staff genuinely provide good customer service. I'd definitely book again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not in the centre - Hotel was pleasing but we were disappointed on arrival as it was not in the centre as described. The issue was not the short ride (£3) but trying to get a taxi driver to understand and read the hotel name in English. It was very difficult to get taxis to take us there.
Breakfast was very poor. Only 1 or 2 fruits available and I was charged $4 for a tea bag of peppermint tea!!!. I told them I didn't drink caffeine so couldn't have coffee and tea, and there was not option of "free" herbal tea so I had to pay for a tea bag 4 times as much as the whole packet. Not impressed.
- clive (10/5): - Restaurant not so good, small portions overpriced
- Feideshu (10/5): Good value, great views! - Hotel staff is very helpful; Rooms are comfortable and have very nice large windows overlooking the city; Swimming pool offers great views as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Hotel! - Comfortable and great hotel with easy accessibility to downtown and airport.
- Andrew (8/5): Satisfied - Stay was good. New hotel. Close by to the mall.
- Michael (6/5): Mostly good, but... - Hotel is new so clean and everything works. Gym is excellent and breakfast has a huge selection. I paid for my room in advance. Nearing the end of my stay, I had a change of work plans that required me to leave Yangon early. I would not be using my last four of 21 days in the hotel. Hotels.com had already received their money, and all of the links on their website that purported to let me reach them mysteriously turned out to be dead. The hotel had received their money. 48 hours before I was going to leave, I informed them I would be going early, and asked simply that they let me use the four nights I had paid for in a month or so when I would be back in Yangon. The young woman I was speaking with asked her manager in front of me. Not realizing I understood Burmese, he just kept saying "He has to pay," though she asked a few times on my behalf. I tried once more as I was checking out, and they said they would check with hotels.com. As they and I knew, this was a manager's decision that would have to be made by their hotel. They had the money, they were not obligated to refund it, and they could either let my room out for the four days I was not there, thus getting paid twice over, or they could let me delay my use of the room. They decided to do the former. So, they are quite polite to you while taking your money, but if you request some flexibility or understanding and there's no benefit to them (except good will, of course), do not expect them to help.
- nekonyan (10/5): The staff were extraordinary. - I had a misfortune of choosing the new year holiday season for our visit. My daughter got sick and asked for congee around ten at night. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel was closed for the holiday. The front desk staff got mobilised. They called restaurants one after another and sent a bellman to pick up the food. I tried to show my gratitude, but they didn't take it. I need to write the manager of the hotel about it. There was this lady who spoke native English, and she was very efficient.
- Clay (8/5): Great place to stay for business - Good stay. Enjoyed the hotel and it was easy to get around. One of the nicer options in Yangon.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent hotel in Yangon - Overall, decent hotel to stay for work.
Bar and swimming pool on 5th floor is nice.
Wifi in room is patchy. If you need good wifi access, have to go to the lobby.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room air conditioner was ridiculous. The remote controller is just for display. Cannot function, my colleague room is the same. Suspect the hotel disable the function to avoid user to change the setting but the room is freezing, i can't turn off.
Breakfast area is too crowded and always not seats available, need to share table.
- Darren (10/5): Friendly staff, comfortable stay - Managed to check in early (nearly 2 hours ahead of stipulated check-in time) and then again, managed to check out late (1 hour after stipulated time). Staff are friendly and very helpful --- if you're wondering, they speak rather fluent English and where they don't understand, they will check with each other before coming back to you with the information you need. Considering the summer heat(wave) in Yangon, it was fantastic coming back to a comfortable, spacious and clean room with lush carpeted floor. The spa service was great as well, especially after walking a great amount in the day. I requested for a high floor and hence had a magnificent view of the towering Shwedagon Pagoda.
- Thorleif (10/5): Good value top hotel - A new modern hotel with good access to everything thanks to cheap taxis
