I stayed here almost a month and felt at home. 10-15 minute walk from lots of great food options, and less than 5 minute walk to two wonderful gyms. Very short Grab ride to Maya Mall. The room is a little dark but it's very clean and high quality for the price.

• Kings (6/5): Quite Unexpectedly too Basic - Previously I had reviewed B2 aplenty and mentioned, once you stayed in one, it’s like you have stayed in them all. And that you can expect the same kind of service, quality, ambience and close similarity in rooms. So, if you liked one, you will like them all. I was inaccurate on that. B2 Santitham smashed my expectations down through several levels of concrete and onto the parking lot below when I opened the door to my room. It was a world of difference from the other B2s that I had been so used to. It was like walking into one of those really cheap budget apartments deep in the sois of Bangkok, where inexpensive furniture is thrown in just to fulfill the basic duty of being a bed room. The room was dark, the light was too dim. Maybe it’s one of those energy saving policy they enforced, I don’t know. I had to turn the TV on to find programs that showed daytime in order to increase visibility in my room. And by the way, if watching snowflakes is your favorite past time, then you will not complain about the condition of the TV channels. I was glad the morning came fast. Where the others B2s that I stayed had free coffee for me at the lobby, this had none. Another disappointment. Now I realized, there are several variations of B2, such as Premier, Boutique and Colonial. So, read up their web and then plan your stay. This hotel suffices only for the most basic of a quick stay. I was there for that, just not expecting it to be that basic.

• 150jeanam (6/5): Awkward location, dark room - The room did not remind us of the photos very well. It was dark and dingy. Much more of a motel by the highway feel. The front desk doesn't speak much English and our aircon dripped all night.They have many signs everywhere reminding you how much you will pay if something is broken or damaged, which made it a bit hostile and unwelcoming. But the room is big and the shower water is hot, and the bed relatively comfortable. Wifi worked great in our 4th floor room. 300TBH deposit when you check in. Not so good for people without their own transportation as it seems to be in a very unpopulated block, with a field on one side and small shops on the other.
• 210JohnW (10/5): A Haven of Peace in a lively area close to the central moat and old city. - SGH is an arty sophisticated more-than-guesthouse with very tasteful bedrooms all really nice and several of which could be called luxurious. There are common areas including one with a charming teak floored lounge and kitchen and fridge for self-fooding. Noland is the perfect host and the nicest guy you could imagine. The place is definitely gay friendly but straights like me also frequent it and the great restaurant with no awkward feeling not in the least......it's about 50-50 mix. All in all highly recommended.
