- leonardomZ1661BL (10/5): Love the place. Cant beat it for the price today - Very nice spot if you want to stay at west end. The hotel is rustic made of wood and the rooms have a cabin feel. The service is super friendly. I just like atmosphere and the fact that it is a few blocks from the night life. My room did not have a tv but I came to dive and snorkel not to be in the room all day

The staff were very friendly and did everything to make us comfortable. Only downside was the breakfast, it’s just one option a day, so for people who like variety, can be an issue. And it is served from 7:30-8:30am only.

It you're looking for a sterile, pre packaged, all inclusive experience, this isn't it. If you're looking for a place with a lot of character and charm, staff that feel like family, and breathtaking ocean views, this is your place.

- Q2188SZwillieb (4/5): My experience - The pictures does not reflect the room we actually stayed in. I was there for 14 days and it was not what I expected. Upon my arrival I was not impressed by the receptionist Leslie at all, very unprofessional, maid service was disappointing and parking was a nightmare, However there was one positive experience and that was Dania who tried her best to make me feel welcome and made my stay worth it. There are improvements to be made starting with welcoming guests and, restaurant and maid service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Unplanned Extra Night in West End - After having our flight back to the US cancelled, we had to scramble for a place to stay. We were glad to find a room at Lands End on Hotels.com. We had seen the Lands End Resort but hadn't stayed there before. This gave us a chance to try it out. The room and balcony were spacious with an amazing ocean view. Plus the salt water pool was a nice bonus after sitting at the airport all day. We would definitely stay here again!

They have dinner and lunch (American prices). They follow their policies to the dot. They will not move a finger to place a smile on the clients face. If I pay $50 for early check in , I could come in anytime in the morning . So, I decided to wait a bit for check in , but they would not check me in until 245 to 300 PM. The place was completely empty. I complained to the manager , she said there was a large group coming in , there were no large group, no large group arrived that day in the afternoon, evening , or following morning . The pool and dining area were empty the whole time . They could not check me in even at 2 PM without charging $50 , it is their policy. Then, Saturday morning the day after July 4th , they empty the pool to paint and clean it, so no one could wake up and use pool until late afternoon. The breakfast is from 730 AM to 830 AM . God forbid you wake up on vacation at 845 AM, you are out of luck. But, that is their rules. They have a nice pool , but we cannot use the room towel in the pool and they charge $25 for a pool towel if we need one. They charge in American $, but their service is not what we get in the USA.

The rooms have an amazing water view and are right on top of the corral almost. If you're looking for a modern, fancy, all inclusive type place, this is not. If you want a quaint, family-owned, local feel with great service where they make you feel special, Lands End is your place.

The restaurant options were great and very reasonable. Nice breakfast. Price was right. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you!

- Clair L (8/5): - Lovely grounds with lots of lovely places to sit outside. Very friendly staff person greeted me on arrival. Didn’t like that the purified water ran out and there was no responsiveness to replacing with another bottle, even though bottles were available. Staff member (who showed up about an hour after I had been up and looking for water) offered to take my bottle and fill it for me, but I have already been quite sick with a GI illness and don’t really like anyone else handling my water bottle. There was one empty large bottle with a pump and many new sealed bottles visible in storage but it was really frustrating that they wouldn’t set up a new bottle with the pump.

They were always intent on working on any issue. I really enjoyed the beautiful seaside property and pool and gorgeous view from my spacious balcony. It's only a five minute walk from the bars, restaurants and shops on the West End, but it feels like miles away from the hustle and bustle. I will absolutely be back. I am highly enthusiastically recommending Lands End! Also, I felt very safe and secure at the hotel and on the island.

- Curious32653922771 (8/5): 5 min walk from half moon bay - We had the king ocean view, the room itself was very small with no balcony but it was clean and suited our needs as we spent most of our days exploring and at the beach / restaurants in half moon bay. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet after around 8-9pm (right above the restaurant/bar which wasn’t super busy but did play music we could hear in the room). Dania was exceptional at helping us arrange all of our adventures and answering any questions we had. The location was not on a beach but is oceanfront with some (slippery) access to the water. The pool was refreshing but we got eaten up by bugs when we were in it during the afternoon. The sunset was beautiful, there were always lounge chairs available and it was a short 5 min walk to half moon bay beach where you could rent a chair for the day, along with lots of great places to get food and drinks and the water taxi to west bay. We had the included breakfast at the hotel a couple of times— though it was only available 730-830am and you didn’t have any options for the food—we slept in and missed it a couple of times, and opted to get breakfast in half moon bay which was super convenient!

- agostinosarnari (2/5): I felt offended - I have known Lands End for decades, I have been there with my family, my friends, I have frequented it when I was managing a tourist newspaper, I have sent tourists there on several occasions because I collaborate with two local tour agencies. This afternoon, after about 3 years of not being able to go, I was happy to enter this place again. By chance, a person I have known for several years came to serve me, very kindly, I ordered a coffee, as it was taking a while to arrive, she told me that I could go sit down, she would bring it to the table. After waiting a few more minutes, I called some friends with whom we had dinner plans and suggested that I join them at Lands End, it wasn't long before sunset. The coffee hadn't arrived yet so I started walking towards a table to sit down when a woman, I don't know if she was the owner or the manager, asked me if I was staying in one of the rooms there. I told her no, I apologized for my English and pronunciation, after asking her if she could understand Spanish I saw her facial expressions and attitude worsen. She ended by telling me that this place doesn't only sell coffee, and she showed me to the exit of the place. I am never against any business policy, especially if it is an establishment that also works as a hotel, I understand that it may have stricter rules. But why did they accept my coffee order then? They made me wait just to treat me this way? I repeat that I am not against any policy but this lady did not take 10 seconds to understand me or listen to me and she kicked me out of the place with a classism that made me feel very bad. It hurts me a lot that she ruined my conception of the Lands End that I remembered and that I wanted to live again, but she will surely be very happy that she will never see me again. I hope that Google Translate was able to choose the right words to translate my feelings and intentions.

- Paul (8/5): - I’ll start by saying that the views are spectacular and most staff is friendly. The rooms were nice and cozy and for the price you simply can’t beat it. It is a bit of a walk from the bars and restaurants, but the area around the property is quiet, safe, and I actually really enjoyed the walks. A bit of a bummer that the bar and restaurant close early (8 and 7pm) and our room needed a bit of refurbishment, but the AC worked and we had a place to sleep and shower and for us this place was great and exceeded our expectations. Did I mention free breakfast? Yeah, loves that too 👌

- Jeffrey Ryan (8/5): - The outside pool area was amazing and where I spent most of my time if not out and about. Easy 5 minute walk to the “start” of West End by the circle. Staff was amazing and friendly.
- Robin (10/5): - The nice hidden gem. Everything was what I’d hope. Service is great, the room is clean and the air conditioning works. Very nice balcony facing the ocean. Love the saltwater infinity pool. Walkable to the Dive Shop. Will definitely stay again.

- Shaylyn (10/5): - Lands End was a wonderful stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is close to all sites but far enough you don’t get a lot of traffic and noise. I highly recommend it!!!!
- Brian William (10/5): - The staff was amazing. Friendly and very helpful! It is very walkable in the West End. The place was clean and it was quiet. Beautiful sunsets from our deck off our room! The owner was extremely nice and so was all of his staff. I couldn’t say enough good things about the place!
- Eric (8/5): - Owner is friendly with family onsite. The free breakfast is a set plate and available for 1 hour. Nice pool and quiet setting on the water. Pool is lovely. Drinks are $10-$15. No free water. Onsite restaurant has good selection and good portions.
- Anna Maria Midence (8/5): - This hotel is unique. I'm just going to list out my pros and cons. PROS: 1. Had a room option with a king bed separated by a door from the other 2 beds and bathroom which allowed for privacy for both us and our 17 year old son without paying for 2 rooms. 2. We had a room with ACs (2- one in each "bedroom") 3. It had a small balcony which overlooked the ocean 4. It had a bar accessible from the pool. Not swim up, but you could order drinks from the pool. 5. Hotel is walkable to most restaurants and the west end of Roatan. 6. The staff was very friendly. 7. Front desk will arrange massages with the hotel next door. It was a great couples massage. CONS: 1. Breakfast (the free one) is only served for a hour early early in the day. I think 7am to 8am. Period. It was also very repetitive and not that good. We skipped it most days and paid for breakfast elsewhere. 2. Most of the amenities at the hotel aren't open anymore (casino, submarine) 3. The onsite restaurant is pricey, takes forever, and its not that good. There are several different and better options within a 10 to 15 minute walk 4. There is a beach entrance for the super super brave. One set of steps surrounded by very sharp rocks. If the wave takes you into the concrete steps or into the rocks it would be very painful.

- Mary (10/5): Great Solo Spot - Lands End was an amazing resort. The staff and the other guests were so friendly. When traveling solo, I search for a small resort like this and luckily I got it right. During cocktails at sunset many guests share their highlights from their day. At breakfast, it’s fun to here everyone’s plans.

It is quiet resort that Is in eed of some updating and repair. There is a $10 charge for a pool towel. The location is good. Short walk beach and shops

Did not get a chance to try the restaurant and bar, however if the free breakfast (fresh made omlet stuffed with flavorful veggies) then im sure its decent! Short walk from west end and the beach.

- Andrew (10/5): - It’s a nice small resort with everything you need. They should have cups in the room and a bottle of water for doing your teeth. And improve on their dinner menu. All the main courses were fish. It would have been nice to see chicken also.
- Steven (6/5): - Beautiful ocean view in a quiet area. Staff were nice and helpful. My only complaint is the bed and refrigerator, both of those items need to be replace. Woke up with my back hurting down to my legs.

- Sara-Jessica (8/5): - Property had beautiful views and very friendly staff. Not sure if it’s because it’s not peak busy season but they were short staffed, with only 2 people we could see over them entire week we stayed. The pool is salt water straight from the ocean, swings and lay down deck chairs, well maintained in those areas. Some of the separate cabana type rooms (we stayed in a duplex room) need some upgrading and bug proofing with weather strips or better fitting doors, as we had an ant and bee problem.
