• Andreas (10/5): - Der Ausblick allein ist schon ein Traum. Das Apartment war toll, es fehlte an nichts. Wir wären am liebsten länger geblieben. Wir bekamen großartige Restaurant-Tipps und einiges Unerwartete mehr. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Ein Apartment war sogar Rollstuhl geeignet. Es gibt mehrere Apartments die aber gut getrennt liegen mit großen Terrassen und 2 Pools mit Aussicht, so dass es hier sehr einladend wäre mit einer Gruppe Freunden länger zu bleiben und zu entspannen, dennoch findet man seine Ruhe, wenn man will. Ein Auto ist Pflicht, da hier keine Vollpension geboten wird. Für alle Erledigungen inkl. Restaurant Besuche muss man runter in die Stadt fahren. Hier gibt es nichts zu meckern. Einfach fantastisch.

• Barrett (10/5): Beautiful stay at a Quinta with modern facilities - Easy to find - Marta was very responsive and onsite to help us with the check in which was smooth. Parking was easy as the property had its own gated garage. The property felt newly renovated and modern compared to many other Quinta accommodations, and had all the facilities we needed during the trip. It’s akin to staying in a modern hotel and stepping straight into nature when we open the door. The scenery was spectacular even during the shoulder season. They provided nice gestures like freshly baked bread delivered to the doorstep, which is pleasant and adds to the overall experience. Nothing - this is exactly what I wanted!

• Haarmans (10/5): Could not have been better for our group of 21 wine friends - Everything. This place is simply fantastic. From.location to amenities and communication with the friendly staff. Communication goes by phone, we had the whole place for ourselves and the staff leaves you to enjoy your stay by yourselves.Perfect for a larger group stay, we were 21. I write this two days after staying at the quinta and I miss it. This place will be hard to beat by any place we go to in the future. It is downhill from here. ;-)

• Emmanuel (8/5): Une quinta dans les vignes, deux piscines, et une vue magnifique sur les vignobles. - La quinta se trouve en hauteur, au milieu des vignes. Le paysage est magnifique, surtout que les terrasses des logements et des piscines sont très bien orientées. Comme le logement est à 15 minutes de voiture des plus proches magasins, les propriétaires font livrer du pain tous les matins, ce qui est très pratique! Il y a deux piscines accessibles aux occupants. Ca permet d'avoir deux ambiances. Climatisation dans chaque pièce. Les logements sont un peu compacts, mais bon, on vit dehors, là bas!
• Dan (9/5): Super dejligt - Fantastisk udsigt fra lejligheden og terrassen. Der var super rent og lejlighed var hyggeligt indrettet. Dejlig pool som også var ren. Værten er det sødeste menneske. Det er super lækkert med det frisk bagte brød der blev leveret hver dag. Vi havde en stor terrasse men vi savnede lidt gode relax stole som man kunne sole sig i. Madrassen var for hård.
• Keith (10/5): Absolutely wonderful. No complaints whatsoever. - Sonia left us ham, cheese, milk and fruit juice - and fresh bread was delivered daily. More than enough for a nice breakfast. Having travelled the world the location of this property is second to none. Simply magnificent. A washing machine for guests use would be nice.

• Agnes (9/5): Echt vakantie - genieten - rust. - Vooral het uitzicht is prachtig! En de totale rust is er heerlijk. De gastvrouw is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Superfijn dat er elke dag vers brood wordt geleverd in een zakje aan de poort. Twee dingen hadden we graag op voorhand geweten: de laatste bocht naar de quinta is een hele enge haarspeldbocht zonder beschermingsrails aan de afgrond. Als we hem uiteindelijk hebben durven nemen, dan hoorden we nadien van de gastvrouw dat we niet de enige waren met problemen daar en dat er wel een oplossing is, door net 1 haarspeldbocht verder te rijden tot aan het "witte huis". Daar is voldoende plaats en een spiegel om wel te draaien en dan kan je in de juiste richting met veel minder stress de weg op naar de quinta. Tweede puntje: er lijken twee zwembaden, maar eigenlijk is er maar 1 zwembad per aantal accommodaties. Wij hadden net het kleine zwembad wat een beetje een tegenvaller is als je wil zwemmen. Het maakte het dan terug wel goed dat we het andere grotere zwembad mochten gebruiken als die mensen van daar niet aanwezig waren. En dat is gelukkig 1 keer gelukt. Wij zouden persoonlijk beide zwembaden voor iedereen door elkaar openstellen.

• Christophe (9/5): Dommage que la location n’était pas disponible plus longtemps aux dates de notre séjour car nous aurions adoré rester pl - La vue incroyable Le logement hyper fonctionnel, spacieux et joliment décoré. La terrasse, la table à manger à l’extérieur sous la tonnelle, le coin repos avec BBQ et les 2 piscines. Le stationnement de la voiture dans l’enceinte de la propriété avec la possibilité de la recharger électriquement. Sonia qui a été parfaite pour l’accueil. La literie un peu ferme à mon goût avec les oreillers un peu trop fermes - mais c’est subjectif

Stunning views, fantastic apartments, and lots of outdoor space, including a swimming pool and huge terraces. Everything was stylish and thoughtfully laid out. The baker drops off freshly baked bread in the mornings; such a lovely bonus! We were warmly welcomed, and this was truly one of the best properties we’ve stayed at in mainland Portugal! Nothing!

This time we stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment which was great and had enough space for our family of 3 :) The house has eveything you need for your stay: fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, toiletries,etc. and the outside space is just amazing, with 2 shared swimming pools and a very big area with bbqs, tables, chairs, sofas.. we loved it and we will be back! The area is also great, with a stunning view over the vineyards and just 5mins by car from Peso da Regua's center and many restaurants and bars. the Wifi was a bit weak, especially in the bedrooms, same for the tv. Nothing major though :)

• Erica (10/5): Perfect spot to relax and enjoy family time in the Douro! - Our stay at Quinta da Pitarrela was fantastic! We were a large group of extended family and we stayed all together in the larger house. We had plenty of room for everyone and the kids loved having access to the beautiful pools on the property. The views are amazing and Sonia and Tiago were friendly and have clearly invested so much time and love into making this pave special. Highly recommend for a family stay in the Douro!
• Ann (10/5): Beautiful modern rooms with gorgeous view of vineyards overlooking the town - The location in the hills above Peso da Regua was beautiful, and the rooms were comfortable with a good bed and nice bathroom. The kitchen facilities were modern and well stocked. The host called us a taxi to get into town. It was very quiet and although we did not use it due to the weather, the pool area was nice and would have been great in the summer. The road to get to the Quinta is very narrow and winding with a difficult switchback turn from the "main" road, so we were not comfortable driving ourselves into town and used a taxi instead. The kitchen facilities are private, but separate at a distance from the room.
• Bushboy (10/5): Luxury chillout experience! - Peaceful location on a vineyard overlooking the Douro Valley. Luxurious units with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Thoughtful touches like a fridge stocked with ham, cheese, fruit juices, milk teabags and fresh bread each morning was a delight. Sonia was lovely and even found us a wonderful English speaking taxi driver who drove us each evening the 5km to Regua to dine, she also took us home too !! Sonia also helped us find a local tour company to give us the full experience of this incredible region. We would definitely return ! Nothing.

Super friendly host who allowed late checkout and welcomed us at the arrival, showing us around. Convenient and kind delivery of fresh bread in the morning. We didn’t want to leave! Nothing! Only the mattress was a bit hard for our taste.
• Steven (10/5): We enjoyed the apt and view! I would go back when it is warmer and can use the pool! - We rented the 2 bedroom apt at the property for the 4 of us. We arrived earlier than the check in hoping we could leave our luggage there while sightseeing, Sonia was very nice and allowed us to check in early. She was very friendly and informative. The LR and kitchen were well equipped. The apt was very nice and they provided coffee, milk, Oj and a loaf of bread! Sonia also said we could use a room next door with a larger table to play games. (which we did) The outside space with tables and the pools looked great but unfortunately we could not use them due to cooler weather in early May. But the view was great! Overall we really liked the apt, view and the welcome basket and Sonia's assistance. The LR space in the apt we felt was a bit small for 4 people. But we were glad we were able to use room next door and patio area. We did reach out to the owner a a few days before about receiving more info on parking or early check in but did not receive a reply. We found out later that Sonia's husband is the one that responds to the messages and he was out of town. Although we had the address.... more communication would have been helpful. As all you see is a locked gate when you get there. Overall we would recommend the apt to guests and I would go back!

Our family were down for my daughter's wedding and we had 4 units. it was the perfect fit for all. Sonja and Martha were wonderful hosts who took care of our every need. Our stay was too short.
• Sheyi (10/5): Stunning views, perfect stay - The property is very easy to find and we arrived to a most wonderful and friendly host. The views from every angle of this property are absolutely stunning! The shared spaces outside included a BBQ area with sink and lounge style seating, and two pools separated by hedges, both with equally perfect views of the Douro Valley. The property itself was immaculately clean. Everything was decorated so tastefully, and all furnishings, kitchenware and soft furnishing were clearly high quality. All of the outside areas were beautifully presented as well. We were staying with our baby, and there was a travel cot made up with lots of lovely bedding, baby towels, a high chair as well as a baby bath in one of the bathrooms. The kitchen had absolutely every item needed in the cupboards and drawers, the fridge was stacked with cheese, ham, butter, jams, milk and orange juice, and plenty of tea and a bag of ground coffee was provided too! This was a particularly lovely touch, as the supermarket was a 10 min car journey away. Fresh bread is also delivered every morning, which made breakfast such a novel and enjoyable experience! This is the kind of place that we would visit again! This place is truly faultless, we had a perfect stay. There could have been more information/ promotion about Quinta da Pitarrela itself within the accommodation, as we stayed on the property but didn't drink their wines / tour their vineyards.
