- Thomas (3/5): Just ok - Both good Bigger bathroom with door that didn't it the bed every time you open it. A window which you could see out of if they had been cleaned once in a while so no sea view.and paint up dated so you can't see all the dirty scuffes.

- Stephanie (3/5): We were pleased it was just one night. - The furnishings in the tiny bedroom were fresh and modern. The room was a so Gl2 size . The bed hard, pillows stiff. Shower houses in a cupboard. Beveridge facilities meagre. Noisy in the early hours from movement outside.
- Zoey (8/5): Good value for money - The room was lovely and clean. Plenty of space for 2 of us and our dog. The bed was really comfortable, nice big tv, full length mirror. Towels were nice and thick The water pressure was really low. We only stayed for 1 night so wasnt too much of a problem however if we stayed longer I wouldn't have been able to wash my hair as the water literally trickled out of the shower also the temperature of the room was quite warm. The windows only open a little bit. Could do with a fan.

Staff were cheerful & ensured everything was covered. Parking at the hotel @ a good price. Very close to the sea shore, beach & harbour + eating places. Fab. Thank you All was good.

- janice (10/5): - Excellent staff, a fantastic team working together. All very friendly and were very helpful. Rooms are lovely they are clean, bright and warm. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. Beautiful lounge, bar and restaurant. Loved the foyer with a good mix of places to go and activities.
- Jessica (7/5): We had a lovely stay although we didn't sleep well because of the noisy bunk beds. - The hotel is in a great location on the beach front. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was spotless. Tea and coffee provided. Hairdryer in the room is always a bonus and we were able to borrow an iron and ironing board from reception Children's bunk beds were very noisy and kept us awake all night as they moved around while sleeping. Hotel is a little dated.

Rooms were very hot. No high chairs available for infants. Had run ins with homeless people trying to enter the property with us telling reception they were with our party.

When walking from reception to room on 2nd floor - as lift out of use... There was an extreme smell in the corridor of urine - assumed coming from the toilets. The shower was unusuable due to its tiny size, impossible to move once in - if your able to get in it! ... very odd layout of room - shower in a room, toilet in another and sink in the bedroom.

The rooms weren't particularly clean, one of the beds had pillow cases with stains on the edges. The bathroom was dated and dirty, the shower door didnt close properly. Paid 10 quid for breakfast, but it didnt have everything put out that was advertised.

Shower tray very hard to get in and out off when you have a bad knee, scrapped my ankle getting out as it is quite a drop stepping out of the shower, the plug beside the bed to charge phones etc was very difficult to get to, had to move bed out of the way, My brother had his bags moved in his room which made him feel very uneasy as there was no need as they were in the bottom of the wardrobe, but when he returned to his room they were both on the bed!! Walls are paper thin, and i had noisy neighbours that didnt know the meaning of sleep.

- Laura (10/5): A lovely clean historical hotel with kind staff , we will definitely book this lovely hotel again as it’s in a perfect p - All the staff was so kind and generous to us they would go above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect holiday. The property has a lot of history which they have kept a lot of the history features which was lovely to look at. We had the family room which was very nice and comfortable.

Wallpaper melting off walls, stained chair, dirty curtains, stains on carpet, dead flies on desk dirty handprints everywhere! overall filthy and run down not to mention the horrendous staff!! We DID NOT stay we left as soon as we saw the room! leaving our family stuck in Paignton on a Christmas weekend break with no accommodation!!

The only "niggle" was the narrowness of access to the toilet, because of the position it was in the bathroom .(so close to the shower screen)

- Cooper (3/5): Your parking let's you down!!! - We booked a room on the 27th December, the room was average, nothing special. The hotel would benefit having a full makeover. .. This is the part where it goes downhill.. after staying here, I received 3 parking fines from the private parking company this Hotel use, 3!! 3 fines for £100 each. I paid for the parking via the the app with full proof which is what the hotel tell you to do. I'm aware this is an independent company, but then the Hotel should be aware of who they use for carpark management and the absolutely shocking reputation this parking firm has. I'll never stay at this hotel again simply because I don't want to be dragged down the leagl road and waste my time defending a bogus parking claim..

The bathroom mouldy on the wall and filthy shower door & plug hole were caked in black muck , hair attached to plug hole and edges of shower door especially the bottom had so much dirt caked on which had obviously built up over quite sometime as it was orange & black ! The paint was peeling off the wall behind the towel rail . The sprinkler ? On the ceiling was caked in orange dirt like smokers room . We checked in on Friday evening , I have Asthma , started coughing by Saturday evening and have been even worse since on Sunday I left the hotel on Sunday morning , by the evening I was struggling to breath so I attended my doctors and have been given antibiotics for a chest infection caused by the mould . In addition to the bathroom , the duvet cover on my bed had several very large holes along both sides of it the duvet was hanging out through the hole at the head end . Also The kettle was thick with dust . The hallway leading to the room (16) smelt exactly like an old residential home , the entire hotel is very dated . The only good thing was the staff were very friendly.

Had to ask for tea/sugar, etc. Had to use own toilet roll when the one in the room ran out.
