Guest Reviews
- Miriam (2/5): 1/2 star for a dirty unsafe stay. Stay away!! - The beds were new and comfortable
The sheets however were dirty with questionable stains Where to start! The building looked like it housed homeless people and in the morning the stairs and front steps did! From mattresses in the stairwells to a never swept lobby with countless signs of not being unkept. The pics are a flat out lie.
Then the rooms! The floor boards were all not 1 or 2, but all not connected. Windows had no locks and the doors to both rooms ( we had 2, traveling with kids) didn’t have locks that worked.
I have stayed in 3rd world country motels and motels all over the US. This was not where you’d take children or adults with any kind of cleanliness standards. You could change oil with the bathroom towels and never know it!
If the location had a beach that was swimmable I’d give the location 2 stars. The hotel itself gets half a star. Clean up a bit before you charge $600 US for 2 nights.
I left and booked another hotel in the middle of the stay that is how bad it was.
I really wished I’d taken pics to show how bad by regular people

- Debora (1/5): not for a solo traveller woman for sure ! - do not go. Weird. Reception guy was on something.. he forgot to make me up - I missed my flight. The 3rd floor is a dump, full of broken furniture. Window does not open. Lack of hot water. NOT for a solo traveller woman for sure. read above
- Chrislon (10/5): Beautiful location next to the park, the beach and the lagoon. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. -
- Richard (6/5): Served it's purpose and the management/staff were very helpful. - Management was very responsive. Access to beach walk and local markets was good. It must be noted that on San Pedro Island, value and quality are subjective. The hotel is outdated and in need of renovations and in normal circumstance would have been of far less quality than would be expected for the price paid. But, this is San Pedro Island. I could hear EVERYTHING the people in the adjacent rooms were doing and saying.
- William (9/5): I stayed there with a friend. We had our own rooms and I would definitely go there again! - The location was great next to the bridge and I never really tried the breakfast I have trouble with stairs, especially with my suitcase, and I was surprised that my room was on the second floor, but the man at the desk carried my suitcase up for me and he brought it down at the end of my stay and everything worked out very well
- Vicki (8/5): Comfort and budget friendly - Friendly Could be Renovated
- Andrea Jiménez (10/5): Agradable - La cama estaba súper cómoda, y la vista al mar hermosa
El anfitrión fue muy amable
- Giacomo (10/5): Enjoyed every moment thanks to manager Shavo - Breakfast was good!!! Shuvo the manager of the hotel was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area !!! He recommended places to go for dinner and how to get phone plans . He went beyond by calling Canada for me when I was having difficulty with my debit card at the Belize Bank ATM to unlock it so I could get emergency funds !! I liked everything nothing not to like
- Torsten (8/5): - Was mir gefihl war der frühe Check - in um ca.11:00 , Zimmer war sehr sauber.
- William (10/5): I am having a great stay here. I will definitely come back to this hotel. - My room had great hot water in the shower and the sink. The view of my balcony of the ocean was excellent and the bed was a very good quality. There were quite a few steps to get to my room, but it worked out OK. The man is to desk, kindly carried my bag upstairs for me. It was so nice that we booked three more nights. We are going off the secret beach tomorrow. There were more steps than I thought, but it was OK. He carried my bag upstairs for me. Any accommodated me by giving me a room on the first floor and that worked out really well for me.

- Angelique (10/5): - The room was really nice and comfortable
- ANNA (7/5): Perfect to rest in comfort and be out exploring all day. - Location and price. Loved the water available as well. Huge for travelers and very convenient. Nothing.
- Dr. Anita (6/5): The staff is great. - Proximity to restaurant.
- Georgina (6/5): - El llit era molt molt molt gran i molt còmode. L'hotel és una mica vell.
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Ian (5/5): Just about ok - Easy walking distance to restaurants. WiFi was ok. Room was small and dingy. Bar downstairs was a little on the rough side frequented by some dubious sorts. Door wouldn't lock on arrival and had to wait to get it fixed before could go out. Room noisy until very late due due to bar.
- Olivera (5/5): -
- Elder (9/5): Superb - Clean, centric and affordable. Staff was very patient and nice. All is well
- Gabriela (6/5): Regular - Location The staff was totally unkind and rude.
- Brandon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alice (8/5): Very good -
- Frederic (5/5): Passable - Nice side of the Peninsula and town, fairly low price for this area. Noisy, poor insulation, room in serious need for repairs
- Frederic (5/5): Passable - Nice side of the Island (the other side looks like a slum). I had room with a view on the ocean. Nice decorations and paintings, that beach is quite nice, even though narrow and the sand of mediocre quality. Enjoyed some great snorkelling. Hotel looks dilapidated, not well maintained, huge scratches on the walls, needs a serious paint job, very noisy at night with a busy bar across the beach. Paper thin walls and one can clearly hear conversations from the next room. Within a few minutes of getting out of the hotel and into the street, I was approached by a hustler looking to introduce me to prostitutes. This gave me a negative first impression of this area, and made me feel a little uncomfortable about the area. Those ubiquitous gas powered golf carts and noisy and polluting. No public transport in that area, only taxis which most of them look old and not nice looking.
- Hernandez (4/5): Disappointing - It's a very cramped environment and noisy. I know that it's a budget hotel but I still expected a little better.
- Rene (5/5): less than ideal - room was appointed nicely bathroom had some mold and the pictures are so old that they dont reflect the nightclub next door which played loud music making sleep difficult
- Sarah (8/5): Definitely recommend - The staff was really friendly and gave us an upgrade. It’s nice when the staff thinks with you and the young men from Bangladesh was very helpful! Very good value for money and a really nice bed and pillow. It’s a bit further from the ferry but still walkable and it’s above a bar so can me a bit noisy from time to time but nothing to loud.
- Josh (8/5): Very good -
- Bev (3/5): Poor -
- Shelba (10/5): Wonderful - The staff was amazing picking me up from the airstrip and dropping me off at the water taxi. The room is clean and sufficient.
- Barahona (9/5): Superb - I like the view of sea
- Jerry_travel2024 (9/5): Decent value for the cost. - Friendly staff and quiet hotel. Helpful when I needed a golf cart to get around. Price could have been lower.
- Gerald (7/5): great value decent accommodations - location
- Debra (3/5): Last minute trip to San Pedro on a budget - One of the hotel workers took us to the airport the next morning as a courtesy. Close to some decent restaurants. There was a shirt under the bed from a previous guest, which made us question how clean the rooms are, the shower is very small. You get what you pay for
- Charles (7/5): Small needs
131 - Location to the beach and bars No face towels, only two bath towels, frig had mold in it
- David (7/5): Adequate for our needs. Nice view and patio - Great location, close to the beach. Nice facilities nice staff Above two night clubs. Loud music into the night
- Morgan (8/5): Very good -
- Watson (6/5): Royal Blue R
eview - Beautiful views and very close to the north bridge. Also, not far from the center of San Pedro. Excellent launch pad to about anywhere you may want to go, walking/ biking distance to the town, the bridge etc.
Personally, it was a bit too hectic for us to walk around and eventually rented a golf cart so we could see more due to having to return home (only booked 5 nights on AC) then off to the next place! Bar on first floor, bar next door (loud music to around midnight) and it's a very hectic area/ corner
right next to the bridge that takes one over to the more touristy areas and large resorts.
- Christopher (9/5): Convenient and cheap! - Convenient location ! Old and needed some updating
- Bradi (8/5): Very good -
- Garnett (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Tina (1/5): Bad -
- Leslie (9/5): Superb -
- Marcel (8/5): Very good - The bar/ restaurant down there and the whole staff .
- Henley (1/5): Bad -
- Gary (1/5): Horrible - The attitude from the staff here disgusting, they tried to charge us extra, the rooms where dirty we originally booked 3 rooms, I got a confirmation code for this we got there and they only had two room left for 6 of us. I didn’t get photos, I didn’t no I could do this lesson learnt from me is to take photos
- Cornelius (8/5): Very good - It was quite Water for shower was cool.
- Oliver (7/5): Good -
- Maria (9/5): Great price and location - Saimon at the front desk made our trip special. He went out of his way to get us the room we wanted, he had a new Golf Cart delivered to us at the airport upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The location was in the center of everything and the restaurant and bar downstairs served good food. Loved the balcony and view from our room. Also highly recommend Coyote Golf Cart Rental (Zachariah, Saimons Cousin) gave us a great rate and let us leave the Cart at the airport upon departure. Zachariah, Saimon and all the hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. We miss them already. The room could use some paint. It would be nice if the bar and restaurant downstairs could offer some lounge chairs on the beach in exchange for buying their food and drinks. We would have hung out near the hotel more had there been lounge chairs on the beach however I'm not sure if they could get authorization to put chairs on the public beach.
- Karīna (8/5): Very good - Last property on the beach where all the bars and restaurants are. Really friendly staff. There is a coffee and water station in the hallway. Two big supermarkets near by. Neighboring building has a bar that plays loud music through the night.
- Mary (7/5): Good - Location
- Haile (9/5): it was great. - the rooms were very spacious. The food was amazing and i enjoyed the time there very well. The location was also very well as i was able to get to the beach very quickly and it was right near a park which was great.
- Erica (7/5): Good -
- Kellyreyes (4/5): I could not check in :( - it was a great location I did not like that my booking was not honored. It was given to a walk-in customer so I had to find another place to stay :(
- Jean (2/5): Avoid this place, you're better off almost anywhere else - There were no bugs, rodents, and the door locked. It's honestly difficult to find positive things to say about this place. Most of the pictures are either photo-shopped or 15yrs old, don't expect fancy folded towels or similar. This place is so rundown I'm glad I wasn't traveling with my lady as she would've been very upset. This location is LOUD,! This is a terrible part of town and near one of the 3 gas stations on the island= the traffic is constant with a lot of dump trucks driving by starting early in the morning. There's a karaoke bar next door that's obnoxious until about 1am, the staff doesn't speak english very well, and the beach behind the hotel is full of disenfranchised locals that aren't very friendly. The rooms were dirty, mold on the windows, the floor was coming apart, the building itself is falling apart, there was random furniture in the hallways, missing doors covered with plywood, dirty rooms constant smell of smoke & vehicle exhaust, and it had an overall vibe of sketchy. On a windy night all the windows and doors rattled so bad I used a pice of broken flooring to shim some of the plywood doors and my neighbor went to the front desk to complain. I wasn't able to get more than a few hrs sleep each night I was there
- Selena (10/5): Budget friendly - The staff was nice & the restaurant/bar is convenient. Bed was comfortable Wifi worked well . Shower had warm water . They rent out golf carts . Good Low price for budget traveller . Not very clean , air cons needs to be cleaned . No daily housekeeping or fresh towels daily . in need of a Reno
- Luoka (3/5): Don't waste your money - Staff was very friendly, tv with netflix. Room was disgusting. Furnitures were sticky. Shower was really bad. You don't want to stay there. Very dissapointed plus you could hear people next door.
- Magdalena (5/5): Decent last resort - Affordable No shelves or hooks, dirty walls, only 2 towels given. The building was in a state of construction with random equipment and things everywhere.
- Ashutosh (7/5): Good -
- Steve (8/5): Right in the middle of everything! - I was on the 3 third floor. No elevator. Steps are a little tricky. Great view and near the water. A little bit noisy from the nearby bands and kids playing at the park buy otherwise a had a great stay. Very safe. Staff are good people and helpful.
- Anna (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing -
- Marianela (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (9/5): Superb - Great price great location clean comfy bed nice staff A little sloppy with stuff laying around like boxes and cleaning supplies and broken furniture. Neighbors super loud but not the hotels fault
- Kayleigh (8/5): beautiful view, lovely staff - really comfy bed and pillows slept great! the view was stunning too we had no hot water and the room because it’s brown is very dark
- Jr (8/5): Very good -
- Leon (7/5): Good -
- Andreinae (10/5): Exceptional - It has an amazing view of the sea and the customer service was great 🥰 hot and cold showers and nice mirrors
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing -
- Isabel (5/5): Passable - free laundry service was great, bar opened up onto beach, cheaper than some other places in san pedro. reception staff and security were lovely. our room had more than one cockroaches in the bed and shower. our towels were stained and the floors were dirty. the rooms need updating and the hotel seemed in disrepair. we suspect some earrings were stolen from one of our luggage also.
- Montserrat (3/5): Poor -
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Estefanía (8/5): Very good -
- Early (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (7/5): Good - The staff were extremely helpful. The location was good! The AC in the room worked well and there was hot water, and the bed was comfortable. The whole place is very run down, but it is okay for a budget place to stay. Next door karaoke kept us awake, but only one night. Besides that it was quiet. The room was also very small.
- Doody (7/5): Good - Convenient place to stay. The hotel could use a face-lift. It was a little run down.
- Jan (3/5): cheap but old and dirty - Cheap furniture is strongly worn-out and it’s dirty
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Friendly and helpful staff. Nothing really. All good. Except the location was a bit far from the town centre.
- Francis (6/5): Pleasant - Great view and location. Nice view of the sea, central location with stores, bar, pharmacy and restaurants Rooms weren't too clean, felt congested, one of our room had two condoms under the bed. No daily room service. The furniture seemed old and outdated
- Nydi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Polentz (8/5): A good value! - The staff was really cool and had good recommendations about local beaches and eats. There's this gift shop across the street that had nice things that weren't t-shirts or the typical touristy stuff. Nice bed and refrigerator in each room. Very secure, I felt safe. Not much to complain about....the bridge adjacent to the property is under construction, a little traffic jam persisted out front. The toilets are small, no room for your junk to hang! But that's true of anywhere you'd stay.
- Lori (8/5): Good location! - This hotel is in a great location, staff were helpful, and friendly. It was quiet at night.
We had a Seaview room so wonderful view and the bed was comfortable. They also offer free drinking water and a little coffee station. The hotel needs some upgrading but other than that - no complaints.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - bar man was a sound lad !
- Derwin (8/5): Very good -
- Ninel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Euglent (10/5): An affordable place with good views and amazing service. - The location of the place was nice. It was in front of the sea. There were some nice bars and restaurants walking distance that i recommend. Above all this place has an amazing host (Simon) that would always go above and beyond making sure your stay is comfortable. I was given an option to pick between rooms which was very nice. I did arrive 4 hours early and the Simon agreed to store my luggage. On top, Simon did offer a late check out for free. Again, vey nice service and a great place to stay.
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chris (5/5): Passable -
- Kate (6/5): Pleasant - Room was ok. Bit fare from centre, whole hotel bit messy and needing TLC. I guess taking into account price though it wasn't that bad.
- Sergio (7/5): Good -
