The location is good and there are a lot of eateries nearby. Only lacking it is not really sound proof. I could hear next door snoring that kept me awake.

• Maree (10/5): An absolutely wonderful place to stay! - We had a fantastic stay of 6 nights at this hotel The beds were so comfortable and it was lovely and quiet. The breakfast was magnificent. The hotel is located close to a railway station and near some wonderful restaurants and shopping complexes. The staff were absolutely beautiful. They were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the airport and yet accessible to the centre of Singapore. Everything was perfect!

Also, we definitely love the location of the hotel- next to 2 malls and so many restaurants and a Starbucks around the area. Amazing breakfast options, also, we only took 1 bus that took us straight to the airport which was so easy to catch and was very convenient. Definitely recommend Holiday Inn Express in Katong They did not provide free water bottles in the room refrigerators

• reys303 (10/5): Holiday Inn Express Katong is perfect when in Singapore. - Holiday Inn Express Katong is strategically located in a restful and quiet community easily accessible to shopping centers, souvenir shops and food stalls along joo chiat road. The daily upkeep of rooms is very impressive considering that we attended a conference with at least 600 delegates. Breakfast was diligently attended to, as the staff made sure the serving trays are constantly replenished. Common areas were particularly clean. Congratulations to the management and staff for making us feel at home.

From the warm welcome at the gate, the experience was exceptional. The hospitality and professionalism shown throughout my stay truly stood out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made my visit even more enjoyable. Most importantly, Mr. Devaraj and Miss Merry provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Their kindness, attentiveness, and dedication to making guests feel comfortable were truly outstanding. Their service was honestly 1000/100. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Singapore.

The drinking water needed a new filter i think, as the water had minute black dust particles settling at the bottom of our drinking cups. The drinking water supply was weak. It took a lot of time to fill the kettle.
• DS (5/5): One stay was sufficient - Location. Room size is very small by any standards. One big reason we booked the hotel was because it had coin laundry. Only 3 sets though, 1 washer/ dryer were labled out of service yet staff used them. ??? Other 2 washers did not function properly..no soap went in and very little water. Coin changer was out of service for 2 days on the weekend. Breakfast was a free for all with people filling containers to take away so those of us that had only breakfast paid for those lunches and more. Give me a working washer instead please! Staff understood English as long as it wasn't a complaint.

Very close to Marine Parade MTR station with good connections to centre. Able to leave luggage with hotel after we checked out. Not hotels fault but there is no direct train service from Changi Airport- one station on the route currently under construction. We caught the MTR and bus.

• gamzars (8/5): A Masterclass in Genuine Hospitality and Comfort - Having spent several nights at the Holiday Inn Katong, I was thoroughly impressed by their seamless service and attention to detail. In an era where many hotels hide behind automated systems, the team here excels in proactive guest engagement. The contrast between my experience here and the Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre is night and day. While Mercure ICON failed to even send a courtesy notification or make a single phone call during a booking error, the Holiday Inn staff ensured my stay was effortless from check-in to departure. The rooms are spacious, the heritage of the Katong area adds a unique charm, and most importantly, the management understands the value of guest loyalty. If you want a hotel that actually prioritizes its guests over rigid "no-show" policies, this is the place to be.

Great location & fabulous breakfast, amazing scrambled eggs ❤️ View from our room on 15th floor lovely, could see the sea. Staff are very helpful & extremely polite, we asked for a late check out until 2pm and they kept our luggage safe, while we went last minute gift shopping. We can highly recommend this hotel. Wish there was a swimming
