• Nicolas (10/5): - We had an absolutely incredible stay at Puri Mangga Sea View Resort & Spa. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The place is beautiful, very clean, extremely well maintained, and incredibly peaceful. We spent an amazing amount of time at the pool, which offers a stunning view of the sea. The staff is simply exceptional: warm, attentive, always smiling, and truly caring. No matter the request, everything is handled easily and kindly. We genuinely felt welcomed as valued guests rather than just customers. The massages and spa treatments offered on-site are excellent and add so much to the relaxing experience of the stay. The restaurant also deserves a special mention. Every meal was delicious, varied, and entirely homemade. You can truly taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every dish. Breakfasts were especially amazing: fresh fruits, breads, homemade jams, pancakes… everything was flavorful and prepared with care. The chef and cooks are extraordinary, and the chef personally comes to the tables to talk with guests about the dishes and share his passion, creating a very warm and human atmosphere. Another detail we really appreciated: meal prices remain reasonable for the quality offered, around 200,000 IDR for a meal. Bottled water is also free and unlimited, which is a wonderful touch in the Balinese climate. An authentic, welcoming, and relaxing place filled with thoughtful little details that make all the difference. We highly recommend this hotel without hesitation and would gladly come back! (The hotel is also very open-minded and respectful, with a genuinely gay-friendly atmosphere, which made our stay even more enjoyable and comfortable.) Nothing!

The villa was very clean, comfortable, and nicely designed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The entire hotel property is beautifully maintained and surrounded by nature, which creates a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. The staff deserves special mention – everyone was extremely friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. You can really feel the warm and genuine hospitality throughout the stay. The hotel is a bit more secluded, so it’s not right in the middle of everything. But honestly, that’s part of the charm. It’s quiet, relaxing, and perfect if you want to escape the busy tourist areas. One of the highlights for us was definitely the food. Since the location is a bit remote, we ate at the hotel restaurant – and we were pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food was excellent, with a great selection and fresh ingredients. A wonderful place to stay in Lovina if you are looking for peace, nature, and great service. The slightly remote location is more than made up for by the beautiful setting and the fantastic food. Highly recommended.

The mark up on extra's, like soft drink at $4.50,water $3.00, beer $8.50,gin and tonic $18.50. The tours where the same $80 for hot springs the cost to get in is $3.00 and 20 min car drive, all the rest were the same high mark up.It look like they are trying to rip off visitors from overseas for as much as they can. That why they only had 3 other people there.

• Judith (7/5): Schönes Hotel mit tollem Ausblick aber sehr deutsch... ;-) - Schönes Hotel, sehr nettes zuvorkommendes Personal. Schön angelegte Gartenanlage und sehr Kinderfreundlich. Sehr hervorzuheben ist das Essen. Es kann jeden Tag für den Folgetag aus drei Gerichten (je Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise) gewählt werden und war wirklich das beste Essen auf unserer Reise. Für Kinder gibt es extra kindgerechte Gerichte. Uns hat ein bisschen gestört, dass fast ausschließlich deutsche Gäste dort waren. Der Aufenthalt bekommt dadurch ein bisschen Pauschalreisentouch. Aber das ist ja bekanntlich Geschmackssache.

• Ivanova (2/5): - It was very quiet with nice view. The staff was kind but a bit pushy. I liked the Spa area and the treatment. The bungalow I stayed in actually is not a real room. There are wholes everywhere which makes is accessible for any jungle creatures. On top of that there was already a gecko lizard living there. It was super small so i could not take in my luggage and it stayed on the super small terrace. On top of that the toilet is down stairs (12 stairs down). At my opinion it shouldn't be offered as an accomodation at all because it is not. It could be suitable for someone who wants to sleep open air. The price was super high for what they offer. The breakfast is very average. It is place for people over 60 that can enjoy some jungle

• Stef (9/5): - Heerlijk rustige plek met fantastisch uitzicht over de zee. Super vriendelijk personeel en goed eten. Kamers waren ruim en de buitendouche goed. Zwembad en bubbelbad heerlijk. Massage fantastisch. Hele goede plek om de tijd rond Lovina door te brengen! Ik heb betere bedden gehad maar de zitjes op de veranda voor de huisjes zijn super fijn. Aankomst route is wat uitdagend en onderhoud van bijvoorbeeld de airco op de kamer vraagt wat aandacht. Werkte wel, maar niet altijd zonder lekken.

• Jan Willem (2/5): Misleading - Super aardige medewerkers. De foto's op booking zijn misleidend. Op de foto's zie je een resort tussen de rijstvelden. In het echt stond er een nieuw gebouwd huis vlak achter onze villa. In het zwembad van dit huis werden drie dagen feest gevierd waardoor we niet konden slapen. We kregen 50 procent korting met de belofte dat de foto's op Booking worden aangepast. Is niet gebeurd. Er is een free shuttle naar het strand. Maar wel pas na 11 uur. Daarvoor moet je betalen. Ontbijt is okay maar ook hier betaal je extra als je van het standaard menu afwijkt. Personeel is top. Info op booking klopt niet.

The service is extraordinary great and the spa is the most beautiful spa I’ve ever seen. There is a free shuttle to he city and they have offer many activities which you can book. The pancakes, the dragonfruit juice and the fruit plate in the morning were so good. And the dinner in the night a highlight. I highly recommend this place to you!
• Manuel (10/5): Daheimfühlen in Bali - Wir haben 11 Nächte im Puri Mangga verbracht und sind tatsächlich als Besucher gekommen und als "Familie" gegangen. Es wird so liebevoll und herzlich auf einen eingegangen, Wünsche erfüllt und das man sich wohl fühlt steht an aller erster Stelle. Das gesamte Team ist durchweg freundlich, Essen super lecker und die Anlage sehr gepflegt. Wie waren mehrfach im Spa und durften einen Kochkurs mit Marktbesuch in der Hotelküche besuchen. Wenn man nach Lovina reist sollte man im Puri Mangga übernachten!

At the time of my arrival i was the only guest in the entire resort and they made me feel like royalty their hospitality is definitely out of this world! My room was unexpectedly upgraded i greatly appreciated it because i did not know how hot it was going to get. I travelled alone and the way everyone made me feel so safe and comfortable i felt like family when i left! I cant wait to return next year with my family. Everything was exceptional.

I couldnt cancel so my option was to upgrade to a proper room/villa. It was almost double price. It was beautiful and comfortable, so for those who don't mind paying the price, it is good. I calculated with the Bungalow price and would not go there for the villa price as there are similarly nice places for much less. I also heard that many people had the same situation with booking the Bungalow and then having to upgrade.

The location is beautiful. So peaceful and set outside of the major touristy area. It is quiet, tranquil and beautifully landscaped. The grounds, rooms, pool, restaurant - everything - is maintained very well and to a high standard of cleanliness every day. I've been in Bali 6 weeks and stayed in 4 different locations. This one was, by far, the best! This is what Bali is supposed to feel like! I couldn't recommend it more highly! Nothing at all. It was perfect!

• Tobias (10/5): - Wir hatten eine ganz tolle Zeit im Puri Mangga. Es war einfach toll. Die Anlage ist sehr schön mit einem unglaublichen Ausblick und einem ganz tollen Team. Preis-Leistung top. Der Norden von Bali ist wirklich richtig toll. Wir waren leider nur drei Tage hier, ein bis zwei Tage mehr wären ganz gut gewesen. Shuttle-Service vom Hotel an die Promenade kostenlos. • Clarisse (7/5): Good but just for a short time, not a lot of days. - Swimming pool Not very clean an the location is very fr away from the city center. There is no drivers available to pick you in this location except the driver from the hotel who is more expensive.

It is also quite small so it is very personal and they have a great cook preparing very nice dishes. The rooms are dated and not very clean. I think those really need an upgrade.
• Gerhard (10/5): Exceptional - The ‚Puri Mangga Sea View and Spa Resort‘ is a little paradise for us. The location overlooking the sea, far from the hustle and bustle of the usual tourism and traffic in Bali, was simply incredibly beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast and dinner were beautifully arranged and extremely delicious. The peace and proximity to nature, the complex with pool and the terraced rice fields make you dream of paradise. The bungalows were very spacious, tastefully furnished and exceptional in equipment. The massage in the spa was also wonderful. Overall, it is a place to relax, dream and feel good. We can recommend the resort with spa to everyone who is looking for peace and quiet in Bali and wants to meet warm people there. Heidi and Gerhard
• Wesley (8/5): - Property was a little out of Lovina Beach, but was only a 5min car ride away. Lunch and dinning options were limited at the resort, so if you didnt like the available options, this meant you were heading into Lovina Beach or beyond to find a restaurant that had a wider menu range.

From the reception to our checkout it was faultless and every request we made was done seamlessly. Time was our only limit as we wish we could have stayed longer, but the resort was fully booked. • Anne (9/5): We can recommend that place and would come back! - We spent one night at the Puri Mangga and we made the most out of it. First we had a Bali massage in the spa, which was super relaxing. Afterwards we enjoyed a great dinner in the restaurant. In the morning we started with a dolphin cruise, which the hotel organized for us. Afterwards we had a delicious Bali breakfast. We finished off our stay spending some relaxing hours at the pool before we checked out. The driver from the hotel brought us to our next destination. The entire staff is super friendly and supportive. The food is great and the villas are nice and clean. The pool area is also beautiful. It would be great if you would offer also Indonesian food for dinner (like the great breakfast). But again, the dinner we had was really tasty with a fantastic local fish. Our villa might need some minor renovation. There was a a crack in the wall, which good be touched up easily.
• Carsten (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing, autentic, great food and staf - Puri Manga is the most wondefull place. We loved the garden feel, the pool area (and the view from the pool), the small houses you stay in, the restaurant, the bar and the spa area. There is a clear red line, calmness and authentic style in the overall design of the ressort, which we really liked. The moment we arrived, we imediatly felt welcome and was greeted with a cold drink and a small wet towel for washing hands and/or face. The staff is very friendly and service minded, even compared to the overall great Bali standard. The food was great, even better then other twice as expensive resorts we stayed at (again compared to the great Bali standard) and the spa area is great. We booked a 5 hours tour with our own driver, which was put together after our wishes (waterfalls, budhist tempel and hot springs), but there are many more places to see, and Puri Manga is a great hub for trips in the nothern part of Bali. And yes, the last 100 meters up the the resort are a bit steep. But inqurie the resort to send a driver to pick you up, if you cannot find a decent driver yourself :) It was my second stay at Puri Manga and i will definitely come back again, because it its the most relaxing and beautiful place to stay in Bali, and their staff are the best :)

• Perry (9/5): Out of the way destination with mesmerising views - We had a delightful room overlooking the pool, but with plenty of privacy. Outdoor bathroom was lovely. We ate at the restaurant regularly and were not disappointed. The gas ran out on the hot water unit for a while, but it was rectified once alerted - not that you need hot water in this climate! Massages were an unreal experience, sooo relaxing. Nothing really. We did try to get the dvd working but it had me stumped, so I read a book.

• Joanne (9/5): Seven days of being totally pampered in paradise. - Beautiful setting and gardens with amazing sunsets. Kitchen went out of their way to prepare vegan meals. Spa staff of Uchi and Wayana are incredibly skilled and so lovely. Overall it was the people - Mely, Rose, Rodi, Gede, Marta, Komang, Yuss, Uchi and Wayana - who all contributed to such a relaxing break. Thank you!! More vegan/vegetarian options on the menu would be great.
• Sharon (10/5): Beautiful resort in the hills above Lovina - Up in the hills with a beautiful view over the ocean, food was delicious (we didn't bother to eat anywhere else!) Rooms were traditional and very clean with an outdoor shower area. Staff were amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Go and see Uchi for the best massage in Bali. 😊 It was a little noisy at night with a call to prayer about 5.30am. We didn't think much of Lovina itself so stayed at the beautiful resort most of the time.

• Miller (10/5): Puri Mangga Heaven! - The hillside view of Lovina was phenomenal and the lush vegetation was refreshing. Excellent, caring staff. Absolutely delicious food with flexibility to your taste. The spa offers everything you need to relax. Definitely the place to stay! The bed was a little stiff but the villa rooms were stylish, clean, and comfortable.
• Saunders (9/5): A beautiful hidden oasis. - The staff were excellent and very friendly. Meals were adapted for dietary requirements and beautifully prepared. All our transport and activities were planned seamlessly through Melly. The massages were excellent and set in very peaceful settings. The villa was very well appointed and spacious and the infinity pool set over a fantastic backdrop view. Loved this place and will come back when we visit again.
• Sally (10/5): Pretty hotel in hills behind Lovina with nice pool and great food. - The hotel was beautiful. It is situated in the hills behind Lovina and has pleasant sea views and a sea breeze. My room was very spacious with a large outdoor bathroom and undercover porch. There was a hot water jug for making tea. There is a swimming pool, massage facilities and the food was delicious. There was air con in the room but no fan.
• Otmar (9/5): Superb - We were welcomed and led to our wonderful room with indoor washbasins and outdoor shower. Nice big bed with mosquito net we did not need. After a dip in the pool we were treated to a relaxing Balinese massage by Uchi and Wayana. And then it was time for dinner. A special table with a stunning sunset view out to the sea. And a well-prepared and tasty meal. Breakfast was wonderful with a smoothie, fresh fruit, eggs and bacon, delicious warm bread with jam and honey. This place left us very happy and we would have loved to stay longer. Must be one of the best in the area.

• Victoria (10/5): Great hotel with amazing views of the ocean - This hotel is a little treasure nested on the hills of Lovina far from the crowds but close enough with beautiful ocean views. The Spa is absolutely amazing, the staff was very nice and the pool area was very nice and relaxing. The rooms were very nice and decorated with taste. Breakfast was also delicious. We were a group of 7 and had some rooms and the bungalow. To be noted that the bungalow does not have air con but did not stop our kids to have a good night sleep. At 5:45am the hinduist prayers woke us up but I guess this is part of the Bali Charm ;-)

The staff were incredible, Ibu Marta took care of everything and made sure everybody was happy. We will for sure be back. The access road that leads to the hotel is quite steep and bumpy. Make sure you have a good driver that knows how to navigate tricky roads.

• Cindy (10/5): Gorgeous resort up the hills - We absolutely loved our stay at Puri Mangga! Such a beautiful resort up the hills and what a view. Their cuisine is just delicious, had the best satay there. Staff is so friendly and competent.
• Gautham (9/5): Warm and Nice stay - There are many things to list here: 1) The staff and their attitude. They are welcoming and provide help and assistance to make our stay and time at the resort comfortable. 2) The food: Freshly prepared and with attention to detail. Flavor and taste profile was perfect. The mix fruit juice combination was simply amazing. 3) Seclusion: Though at times you could hear 2-wheeler noises, other than that it is very quiet and gives you a good private time with yourself and your loved ones. 4) Wi-fi: Connection was available all across the resort. 5) View: Simply the best… Specially from the pool area. 6) Spa: Though we could not use it due to our short stay, the location and view from the spa area was amazing. 7) Dolphin Watching: The boat arranged by them and the captain was really good… The captain took us on a good ride and we saw at least 50+ dolphins. The captain also was very sportive and did not mind taking us deeper to have a closer rendezvous with the dolphins. We were the only family in the resort, so it felt a bit spooky in the night as the resort is in a secluded space surrounded by flora and fauna, don’t be surprised to hear weird sounds made by the unique insects found in tropical places. We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa with open shower, at night there was a thud on the bathroom door that leads to open shower. We assumed it to be some animal considering its proximity to thick foliage and flora. Nevertheless this is not a negative point but us coming from city are usually not used to this so it would feel a bit spooky.

• Talon (9/5): Beautiful, quiet, great food! - Gorgeous little spot 10 minutes up the hill from Lovina. There is a shuttle that runs from 10am to 6pm, the bedrooms were very clean and comfortable, the view is just beautiful, and it was nice and quiet! The food was one of the best parts, everything is made from scratch. The freshly made bread and homemade jam was so good, and the dinners were like really good home cooking. The only bummer was the prices were doubled, you can get everything for half the price or less in town. Pool also could have been cleaner.

• Amandine (10/5): Puri Mangga was our favorite place in Bali - Puri Mangga is a familial resort, very calm, with a beautiful sea view. The pool area is amazing, quiet, and near all the bungalows. We can feel at home ! Our stay was amazing thanks to the kindness of the staff and the delicious dishes we ate. The cooker is so good ! We had an excellent welcome drink and always delicious fresh food for dinner. The service is so great and the staff very warm. We booked for the lumbung because we cannot imagine travelling in Bali without testing this kind of room, and it was so funny ! We had a comfortable stay for 2 nights, with everything needed. The bed and room is very clean. Even if it is small, it is well organised and we have spaces for our clothes and belongings inside. The exterior bed area was cool at the candle light in evenings. Puri Mangga organised our transfer from the previous hotel and it was very comfortable. I also did a body scrub, Balinese massage and flower bath at the spa and highly recommend it ! It was an amazing experience in a natural place with a nice view. The therapist was so nice and did excellent job ! We think you have to experienced Puri Mangga when you are travelling in Bali ! The shower is a little bit old and the water cannot flow properly. The toilets could have been cleaner.
• Lud025 (10/5): Peaceful and beautiful - Amazing Resort in an extremely quiet area. Do rent a scooter to be fully free to move from there, as it is a little bit isolated, but the resort offers free transport to Lovina center from 10 AM to 6 PM. Great spa, great massages and beautiful swimming pool. We were so relaxed, would totally recommend if you like a bit of calm in the company of an amazing staff.

The staff is extraordinary, we felt like staying with family at home. They are super friendly, helpfull and symphatic. The food is very tasty and every day fresh made. The Spa is absolutly worth a visit. Beautiful sights for daytrips nearby. Not a minus for us, but for information: Since you are staying in a gardenlike area in the nature, there could also be some small animals or insects in the room, for exemple a gecko. But this is nature, so no problem for us. The hotel is a bit hard to find.

Sunset views from the infinity pool. Comfortable day bed on the verandah, perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed the spa treatments and the Balinese cooking class with a visit to the local markets. A shuttle to Lovina is available. Good guest laundry service. Nothing.
