Guest Reviews
- Maureen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Felissa (10/5): Loved, loved, loved this property - Everything No complaints
- Margaret (10/5): Lovely… - Beautiful property …
Gorgeous home.
Very comfortable and welcoming. Parking was a bit tight, but manageable.
- Barbara (10/5): Kit and Gary were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was delicious! - We loved the beautiful old house.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nieves (8/5): Very good -
- Emma-jayne (9/5): Superb -
- Nancy (10/5): Beautiful home, comfortable room, welcoming staff, great breakfast! - Preston’s breakfast was wonderful! I love your Inn! My room was comfortable, staff welcoming. It’s a perfect stop on my way home from Florida. Can’t think of anything
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): - What a quaint little B&B. Stayed in the George Washington Room. Nice comfortable beds. Excellent star worthy breakfast they bring you in their cafe. If you need options due to allergies or food intolerance, Kit and Gary will take care of it. The staff is very kind and always helpful. True southern hospitality. OMG the biscuits though.....what I would give to get those again.
5* and its an honest 5*.
- Sherry (10/5): - This inn is a beautiful old home with 6 units. The decor was beautiful from the antique lights and decor to the Christmas decorations. It was very cold but we were cozy with the electric fireplace in our room. The bed was very comfortable. There is not dinner service as Expedia listed and Kit the owner said they have been trying to get this removed but unsuccessful. They have a self serve on your honor beverage system. We ordered a pizza for dinner and had it delivered since parking was a bit tight by our room with my husband's truck. The breakfast was delicious-strawberry topped yogurt, a baked egg and ham souffle, bacon, and a biscuit with juice and coffee. Kit and Gary were very personable and lovely hosts. We would definitely return here if we ever visit the area again.
- Peter (9/5): Wonderful Inn away from the thrum of big hotels - Kitt was particularly welcoming and friendly and she was great with our little dog. Breakfast was generous and everyone was so welcoming. We will return.
- Michael (9/5): Excellent B&B for a stop over when travelling in West Virginia - A really excellent boutique B&B in an area of the USA where it is hard to find comfortable accommodation. The lounge area and bar with excellent Californian wine The lack of restaurants open in Bluefield on a Monday night
- Robyn (8/5): - The room was clean, and the bed comfortable, but $249 was too much. I also did not get help with my luggage and almost fell down the steep stairs. I would not stay here again.
- Patricia (10/5): - Beautiful, elegant home and property. Amazing breakfast. Attention to every detail was top-notch. I have been recommending to everyone I know.
- Jennifer (10/5): - This place was adorable. The staff friendly. The rooms were comfortable!
- Edward (9/5): This inn had the historic charm, privacy, and an excellent breakfast. - The charm, comfort and decor. The only thing missing was soap for the bathroom sink.
- Walter (10/5): - Very nice.
- Sheryl (6/5): Pleasant -
- Angela (10/5): - Very peaceful will be back!!
- Janie (10/5): - 2nd time staying here and as before it was a wonderful stay. Very nice owners and staff!! Breakfast was delicious and loved the coffee!!
Will be back next time we come to Bluefield.
- Penelope (10/5): Lovely property; would definitely stay again! - Quiet, breakfast was lovely, staff very kind. Light came into room through historic doors. Need a sleeping mask.
- Benjamin (10/5): Great way to get away and enjoy a quite evening and good breakfast. - Told them we were vegans and they took care of the rest. Everything was perfect! Can't think of a thing.
- Joan (8/5): Nice B&B for one night. - The room was comfortable. We were able to bring our small dog who is traveling with us. The owner was very responsive to changing our reservation date. Breakfast was included, but we had to leave by 8 am when the breakfast service started. Charging $8.50 for a glass of wine was inappropriate for a B&B. Typically they offer wine and beverages as complimentary. The two nice restaurants nearby are closed on Monday so we just had to order a takeout pizza from Little Caesars. Usually, there is a book with info on the local area (restaurants, etc), but we did not find anything in the room or in the common area.
- Kiran Kumar (6/5): - Parking was difficult. Not enough breakfast options.
Bathroom is very small.
- Martha (10/5): Exceptional - Their breakfast
- Ilana (10/5): Amazingly wonderful. We will return! - Bluefield Inn is the best B&B we’ve stayed at—and we’ve been to a lot, across the US and abroad. It’s a beautiful, superbly maintained property. Beautiful furnishings, manicured grounds, books and games galore, a pool table, honor alcohol bar, coffee/tea/water/juice available all day. Fantastic breakfasts! Top of the line products in the bathroom (soap, shampoo, body lotion, etc). Fluffy towels. Elegant bedding. Kitt and Gary thought of everything.
A special shout out to Preston who is literally worth his weight in gold. Thank you Preston for going above and beyond the call of duty!
Pet friendly, not just pet tolerant, convenient parking, wonderful guests, glorious location and amazing restaurants. We’ll definitely return. We loved everything. Two recommendations: have a fruit/snack to grab when you come back starving. Make it an honor system if needed. Second, mark obstacles like step up bathroom. It’s a hazard if you wake up at night and are disoriented in unfamiliar surroundings.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts were great... we'll stay again...
- Wentworth (10/5): Kitt is the perfect hostess at this elegant b&b - I loved the period furnishings, the inviting porch, deck, and gazebo, the billiards table, and the super breakfast.
- Alan (10/5): Wonderful experience. Highly recommend. - Huey and Louie (cats), staff, and breakfast. Beautiful room, and excellent service.
- Andrea (10/5): - So quaint. Owners and staff super friendly. Room was cozy and clean. Everything from the greeting at arrival to the French toast for breakfast and the photo session with the owner’s adorable bulldogs was perfect. Thank you!!
- Lola (10/5): - Amazing find! I’d stay here again for sure. So unique and quaint is this century old inn. Definitely not your typical hotel. Rooms are true to the inn while still very clean and it has all things that one might find at a typical hotel. Super pet friendly. Lots of fun and interesting areas to sit and gather both inside and out. The veranda by far was the best part, or it’s a close tie with the breakfast served. Highly recommend staying here.
- Nicole (10/5): - Lovely Inn set into the hillside. Makes parking very tight. Very pretty property. The area seems to be building itself up. We found a lovely cafe for breakfast and a great restaurant near the railway. The morning was a little loud. Guests around us slammed doors as they were leaving. Not the property or the owners issue. Just a heads up. It was not just one door, it was the entire floor. Loved our stay.
- Dorothy (10/5): The BEST! - Outstanding in every aspect! There are no improvements that I would suggest. Customer service and comfort at it's finest.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Hosts were friendly and the property was lovely. Rooms are in-unit A/C so planning that for hot months! Breakfast was good!
- Raymond (9/5): Superb -
- Elijah (9/5): Beautiful and accessible B&B with a kind owner - From the second we arrived I felt very welcome. Because it was Mother's Day and I was traveling with my Grandmother, the host offered me a nice glass of wine. Service here is done right, breakfast is delicious, and the property absolutely stunning!
Elderly Accessible Note: The property had many features that made my almost 80 y/o grandmother comfortable. She was even able to take a bath! I didn't have many issues during my stay, and these were all minor. First, I was a little hot at night, but didn't turn on the window unit because it was a little rattly (Rhett Butler room). Second, the parking in the rear is a little hard to navigate with a larger vehicle, it can be tight! Great stay though!
- Amy (8/5): - Their mango cranberry orange juice was delicious.
- Curt (1/5): We didn’t stay there. - No one answered the door when we arrived. We had to leave and cancel our reservation. We went to another hotel.
- NORMA (10/5): - Very lovely old home, great history. The owners are very friendly and accommodating to your every need. They have been operating the B&B for ten years and have fine tuned the decor and comforts. They say it’s a work in progress but what they have accomplished so far is excellent. The neighborhood is a little run down but the B&B is situated in a private environment, lush foliage, fountain, fire pit, outside eating areas.
The breakfast was top notch as well. This B&B is a must see when visiting Bluefield West Virginia.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- JOSEPH (10/5): - It was very unique the area not great but property is good
- Miller (4/5): Got very little sleep because of a dog’s continuous barking, and beds being uncomfortable. Went down for breakfast at 9: - Very clean Bathroom very small, beds very uncomfortable.
- Karen (10/5): Bluefield Inn - Kitt and Gary went out of their way to provide a lovely overnight. We will return.
- Peachie (10/5): It’s a 5 stars experience!!!! - My family and I had a lovely time. The breaksfast that they served us was exceptional.
The room where we stayed was very clean, beds are so comfortable.
Everybody was so polite and friendly and made sure we had everything we need thank you very much.
I highly recommend Bluefield Inn as it is definitely a home away from home.
We will surely come back.
Peachie
- Larry (10/5): Amazing stay and wonderful memories made! - Gorgeous historic property! Hallway light came thru cracks in bedroom door at night, making it more difficult to sleep.
- Patricia (10/5): - The property's owners are pleasant and helpful. The B&B is a wonderfully appointed home.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): - Good amenities and the property was in good condition. Breakfast was on the lighter side, but I appreciate that. I would have preferred a regular check-in rather than self check-in--no opportunity to ask questions or learn about the property. I would recommend being available later for a regular check-in.
- Chris (8/5): We had a wonderful two night stay at the beautiful inn - The inn is beautiful and the staff is extremely attentive. The water in the shower was either extremely hot or cold and would fluctuate between the two.
- Stephen V (10/5): Very accommodating staff. - Went to Bluefield to visit relative. My wife has special dietary needs, which the staff was very good at attending to. They bent over backwards to make our stay special and wonderful. Our only complaint was the fact that the only room left when we made reservations had to double beds. We would have preferred one queen but that's life.
- marilyn (10/5): - Excellent breakfast. Very friendly owners. Great room with outdoor patio's all around.
- Alexander (10/5): - Great experience.
- Melissa (10/5): - I love Bluefield Inn. The Inn is beautiful and Kit and Gary and Preston are so inviting. I have stayed there 3 times now and prefer it over a hotel room any day. The breakfasts are delicious as well. I will be back again.
Melissa from Richmond VA
- Mario (10/5): Excellent - Everything. The house is beautiful, the hosts are great and the breakfast is excellent! Loved it! Nothing...

- Cynthia (10/5): - The atmosphere was very nice and the bed was very comfortable
- kimberly (10/5): Majestic Mansion - EVERYONE was VERY kind and thoughtful! One gentleman (unfortunately, didnot get his name) in particular, knew alot of history about the house. Fascinating info! Our room was extremely comfortable and inviting! The homemade breakfast was amazing! Highly recommed this place!!!!
- Anonymous (9/5): We will be staying at the Bluefield Inn on our next adventure to the region. -
- Bethany (10/5): Amazing Experience - The property is in amazing shape. It was well stocked with necessities and the breakfast was divine.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Beautiful, clean, comfortable, friendly.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (10/5): - It was our first B&B experience. Kit was an amazing host, paying attention to every detail of our stay. Rooms are as advertised, with toiletries provided. Plenty of commom space for guest to relax. We enjoyed our games of pool. Breakfast was tasty and filling. We would stay here once more if our travels take us this way.
- Lauren (10/5): - I can’t say enough about this place. Upon pulling in, we surprised that this inn is in a suburban neighborhood that’s off the beaten path. Because it is so unusual, I was skeptical. But that emotion vanished as soon as we met the inn keepers. They were soooo nice and were more than accommodating when I called ahead and told them I had rescued a dog from the highway! They immediately switched my room to the pet friendly version. This saved us a world of trouble as we now had an unexpected passenger. (Everything worked out with pup) Bed was super comfortable and the inn was clean and quiet. The soaking tub in our room was awesome. Breakfast was chef’s kiss.. Big shoutout to the inn keepers. I didn’t get to say goodbye to them, so if you’re reading this, thanks so much for everything!
- Jimmy (8/5): - The room met our expectations. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very limited. We would have preferred a buffet or at least a couple of choices.
- Karagh (10/5): - What a unique property with tons of unexpected charm topped off with terrific hosts and a lovely gourmet breakfast in the AM.
- Jones (10/5): Perfect hidden gem - This is truly a hidden gem! The owners are so inviting. It feels like home away from home. The breakfast is fantastic and something different every day.

- Tamzin (10/5): - The inn is absolutely beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. The room was decorated nicely and the pool table and board games were a lot of fun.
- Dotty (5/5): Title: A nice place but not a welcoming place. - The personal touch on the breakfast was nice. and the location worked well. The ice machine was not accessible, and I was made to feel it was a burden to ask for ice. I requested a late check-out and was told no way. But I could find no place that the firm check-out was stated in anything advertised.
- Mark (10/5): - Great place!!!
- Roberta (10/5): - After a long day of travelling we really enjoyed our stay. The relaxed atmosphere was exactly what we needed. The breakfast was exceptional. We will definitely stay here again.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -

- Janet (8/5): - It was very clean and peaceful, loved sittting on the big porch.Kitt was very nice and breakfast was great.
- Trisha (10/5): Charming Inn - This charming bed and breakfast is nestled in the mountains of W VA. Beautifully decorated and cozy ! The hosts were very welcoming with an amazing breakfast super comfy accommodations and also pet friendly! The drive up the mountain was an experience! I suggest taking it slow as you wind up a very hilly drive. Best driven during daylight hours to take in the breathtaking views! It was a little out of our way, but we’re all about the journey not just the destination! A must see for anyone looking for an adventure! Also if ur looking for a culinary experience we suggest The Vault in downtown Bluefield. It is a MUST!! Beyond delicious and again the host was sooo accommodating!! Awesome place !!
