- Ari (10/5): Hidden Gem - Perfect Base for Visiting the Parks - This place is a true gem! Amazingly charming B&B - perfect base for day trips to Sequoia and King's Canyon Parks. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, beautiful property. The owner, Connie, was sweet and helpful, and you will want seconds or thirds of the breakfast every morning.

Connie gave us some very useful advice about how to tours the parks the most efficiently. Highly recommended.
- Surendar (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Branded B&B! The hosts were incredibly warm and friendly, right from check-in, we felt so welcomed. The breakfast they served morning was absolutely delicious, with great variety and homemade touches that made it feel special. The place itself is peaceful and cozy, perfect for relaxing and spending quality time with family. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again!
- June (10/5): - This bed and breakfast is sitting in the 5 acres land, Connie the owner is very friendly and accommodating and provided us delicious home made breakfast. The feeders in the backyard attracts a lot of hummingbirds, I really enjoyed watching them and hanging out with the friendly dogs. I picked some yellow peaches with Connie's permission and they were delicious. It is located about 30 minutes outside of the entrance between kings canyon and sequoia which was perfect for us who are visiting both parks. It is ranch style and I'll love to stay again in Spring when everything around will be green.

Her breakfasts were fresh and provided the energy to enjoy the day hiking and visiting. The room was clean and interesting and quiet. Would recommend highly.

- Debbie (10/5): Hummingbird paradise in the foothills - Connie is a wonderful host. The Ranch is rustic, and you are greeted by Remie and Missy, the ranch dogs, upon arrival. I wasn't sure from the photos, but you are indeed staying in the other half of her large home, not separate outbuildings. The rooms are clean, comfortable, as is the rest of the house. Connie literally invites her guests to make themselves at home. Full run of the place, outside her private quarters, of course. While her morning breakfasts are whatever she plans on any given day, they are outstanding, and I'm sure those with dietary restrictions could make prior arrangements. Her knowledge of the Park is great, and she has a nice reference library.

- Richard (10/5): - What else can I say, just a great stay and great find! This is a place that captures the essence of what the B&B was originally. There are still a few out there and this is one of ‘em. Connie is an amazing host and she sure slays a darn good morning frittata! For dinner I definitely recommend the pizza place there in town. And a mile or so eastbound outside a gas station there was a nice family setup roadside selling blueberries and delicious baked goods.

Very yummy and delicious served with fruits, coffee and juice. We were travelling with kids who had fun in the evening and were engaged in the activities. The host did talk to us and share good experiences. It was fun and overall a wonderful experience.

- Sylvia (10/5): Quaint cozy secluded B&B. - It was a prefect stay! Kids loved it. Parents got to relax. Met a bunch of people from all over the state during the stay. Connie, hostess, was the most helpful in giving suggestions on where to go. Luckily I did some research beforehand and it aligned with what she said for kings canyon and Sequoia. Her place had stargazing set up my kids used as "swings", friendly dogs, lots of place to roam, cozy atmosphere, and goid bfast! Would stay at again. Someone else mentioned cool local pizza joint just 2-3 in drive away.

Very convenient to Sequoia/Kings Canyon. Pretty secluded, so plan to have dinner before you arrive or hit up the one pizza place down the street. A superb stay - highly, highly recommended.

My sister joined us for one night -- she was not on the original reservation -- Connie accomodated her in our room and for breakfast at no extra cost. Highly recommend this place.

She also makes the best breakfasts, which is incredible way to start a long day of hiking! The place is on a beautiful property with friendly dogs only 30 mins away from the entrance to Kings Canyon. I would absolutely stay here anytime I’m in the area and cannot recommend it enough. I was also able to purchase an amazing wooden hiking staff that her son made. Connie I got it through TSA!

We had to depart before breakfast (it sounded so good!), so we'll definitely have to return just for that :-) The property is in a beautiful, relaxing area, and we enjoyed being able to sit outside in the evening and gaze up at the stars. We enjoyed watching the horses nearby too! Everything at the bed & breakfast was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Our room was great, and everything was in working condition. There are plenty of books, movies, and games in the common area to enjoy. We hope to return soon.

The views and sunsets will make your vacation relaxing and peaceful. The rooms are spacious and decorated with a ranch flair. The breakfast is the highlight of the stay. Connie serves a different mouth watering breakfast every morning ranging from omelets, frittatas or pancakes along with homemade biscuits and fresh fruit. Coffee and tea is always ready for your sipping pleasure. You don’t want to miss this B&B because great memories will be made to treasure forever! I give this B&B 5 stars plus!!
- Laurel (10/5): Definitely the best place to stay in the area! - Amazing two night stay at the Branded Calf. Very comfortable bed, big room and bathroom with big fluffy towels. Homeowner made amazing breakfasts and while I did not have children with me the other family did and she went to extra measures to have kid friendly choices for them. This was my first time at a BnB and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and comfortable Connie made it to be in her home. Plus she’s dog friendly!
- Rina (10/5): - The property is set in the foothills below Sequoia and Kings Canyon National park. The ranch house has beautiful old antiques. Our room was spacious had a southwest vibe to it. The house is surrounded by other ranches. You might be welcomed to the front door by the ranch dog. Hummingbird feeders line the walkway and there were scores of hummingbirds. All in all the property was a wonderful, welcoming and restful retreat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My family spent two nights at The Branded Calf Bed and Breakfast recently. We really enjoyed our time there. Connie Work is a great host and her home/bed and breakfast is amazing. Our room was spacious and comfortable with all of the basic amenities that we needed. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and a unique lock system to ensure privacy. The Branded Calf is located on an actual working cattle ranch and it is a unique place to spend a few days. Connie gave us suggestions about things to do in the local area as well as travel and safety tips. The food served at breakfast was delicious and the conversation around the table with Connie and the other guests was pleasant and entertaining. Connie asked us at the time we made our reservation if we had any special requests or dietary needs so that she could plan the food for the breakfasts during our stay. The food was well prepared and everything we were served was presented well and enjoyable. Our family was visiting Sequoia National Park and the Branded Calf is located a reasonable driving distance away. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay with Connie at the Branded Calf.

- Leeann (10/5): Calm respite after busy day - We had a great stay after a busy day at Sequoia NP. Our stay was quiet and calm with an amazing breakfast. Loved visiting the dogs and horses, too!

We met Sonny & Scottie, the doggies and hummingbirds. Just 30 minutes drive to the gate of the National Park. Connie gives great trips on where to go too our very first B&B and it was a wonderful experience. God bless Connie & family.

Her B&B is located 3/4 of a mile off the direct route to Kings Canyon and Sequoia Parks. The room had a separate bath and was large and clean. It was a reasonable drive to both parks. Had a good time there.

Her knowledge of the Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP area was priceless. But her breakfasts were the icing on the cake! Highly recommend staying at the Branded Calf B&B if you are in the area.

The room was sparkling clean and it got everything we need - refrigerator, hair blower, etc. Connie was very considerate and resourceful. - rik (10/5): - Connie treats you like family. It's a private home and you can come and go as you please. Each room has a lock so you can feel secure when you're in and when you leave. Great breakfast with home-made biscuits. The room is large with a big bathroom and fresh towels. There is a mini fridge in the room that kept my bottled water very cold. There's a small TV that I didn't use. Connie offered great advice on what to do in the National Park. Loved my stay there!

- Spring (10/5): Great place to stay and see lots of hummingbirds - The Branded Calf B&B is an amazing and quiet place in a more than 200-acre land. The location is convenient with less than 30-minute drive to the Big Stump Entrance in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon Nations Parks. The room was very comfortable with our own private bathroom. Host Connie made us feel warmly welcomed. Her house was decorated with unique items and antique collections. We had delicious and healthy breakfast plus listening to Connie's interesting life experiences and adventurous stories. Connie put many feeders under the eaves around the house and we had never seen so many hummingbirds in our life. We enjoyed our stay very much and will recommend to our friends and hope to visit again in the future.
