Customer service not great either when the first employee was - Nothing horrible room and parking situation Was told parking ramp had a 7 foot clearance truck got stuck was not 7 feet. Doorlock on room was broken. WiFi did not work. Hairs in bathtub and shower that were not ours. Dog hair all over the floor and bedding ruined our clothes. $300/night room should at least be clean and safe

Sally (10/5): Great place to stay in downtown Des Moines - Great location in east downtown. Comfortable, clean, free laundry facilities which we needed to use on this trip, spacious rooms, great breakfast. It was raining during our visit, and the front desk gave us loaner umbrellas. Iowa taproom just a short walk away for dinner. $20 a night for parking feels a little steep.

Evelin (7/5): Overall good - I think the staff was nice. The pool was clean and warm. The regular pool. The breakfast man was really hard at work. He was pleasant. Checkout lady was so friendly super good vibe. Very clean room had a fridge, dishwasher ,sink ,even 2 burners, plates, and pans.. I was pretty shocked. it would be a great place to stay for a period of time.. The only bad thing for me was breakfast itself, I just expected more. But what was there was great. Except the waffle mix. It was very watery and left the waffles so gummy and inedible.. That being said that was when breakfast got slammed and lobby was packed.. I also thought the bathroom in my room was tiny. And the shower head was weak in room 101.
Lorraine (7/5): A good place to stay at an affordable rate near the Iowa Events Center. - It was an excellent location at a very affordable price. Nice to have a good place to stay close to the Iowa Events Center in a blizzard. From the reviews I read, I may have expected a little cleaner facility. We were in Room 106. It was just not as clean as I like. If the small things are not attended to that are noticeable, it always makes me a little leery about bigger things. For example there was dust on the grove around the base of the lamp, the control panel on the heat/air unit was not clean, the textured floor of the shower appeared to need cleaned better. Those were just a few small things I noticed in the area we used. Again, I am thankful for the affordable and convenient location.

I enjoyed the hot tub, the bed was comfy & breakfast was hot. The front desk associate, Kat, was also very helpful. I appreciated the gated parking on the inclosed backside of the hotel even though it was $20 extra to park there it was cheaper & felt safer than street parking. The bed was super comfy & the window view from room 210 was awesome. Breakfast was ok but not stellar. There was different options but the yogurt bar was icky. (Yogurt taste). The eggs were not good (foamy). The outside of the hotel is nice looking however, the inside had holes in some walls on floor #2 that were patched but not painted. It looked really tacky to be honest. Our room was a decent size for 1-2 people with a mini kitchenette. We found dirty dishes in the drawer to use & the kitchen counter was dirty upon our arrival so that was a turn off. You had to request pool towels from the front desk which I was not aware of until I got into the pool area. 50$ incidental hold fee per stay. Not sure I would stay again for paying almost $200 for one night, I think I could have found better.

Mwheels33 (9/5): Would stay there again when visiting Des Moines - Location to Casey center was great. Very clean. We got down to breakfast 45 minutes before closing and they were out of potatoes and bacon. It took 25 minutes to restock...they should monitor better. Many disappointed guests. Just said there were 3 people and busy. Better planning was the issue, not staffing numbers.

Quality of food at breakfast very mediocre ( I know it free) . Place felt a little grimy, carpets need cleaning, and general cleaning up. Several washing machines were out of order.
Rebecca (10/5): Quick trip to Des Moines - Decent hotel, parking was $20 and next to the hotel. The room was good. They have tiny ice in the ice machine! Breakfast was ok, standard hotel hot breakfast. Shower was decent. Very walk able area. Lots to see and do. Many restaurants nearby. Will return again!
Timothy (4/5): - AC UNIT HAD A BAD BEARING OR FAN. EVERYTIME IT KICKED IN/ON IT WAS VERY LOUD AND DISTURBING.OBVIOUSLY DIDNT SLEEP WELL DUE TO THAT PROBLEM. 2. BATHROOM FIXTURES WERE LOOSE INSIDE THE SHOWER. SIMPLY CAULKING THEM WOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT BUT THEY ARE/WERE A SHARP SURFACE THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE A PROBLEM. Malerie (10/5): - Staff was amazing. Short walk to the Iowa Events/Casey's Center. Comfortable beds. Location of hotel seemed safe. Breakfast is includes and offers a huge variety of options. There was some sort of issue because of booking through the 3rd party... hotels.com reserved the wrong date. Thankfully the hotel staff were super helpful and offered us an upgraded suite for the same price!
