- Suraj (10/5): Highly recommended - By far the best stay ever, the service was really amazing! The 2 brothers were extremely helpful and courteous, always available, just a message away. I’ll book this hotel again for another trip, highly recommended, they will make it feel like home for anyone. The views are stunning, short walk to amazing Oia village with breath taking views. The jacuzzi was warm and super clean, they clean it every day and cover it when not being used. They gave welcome fruits, wine, bread and basic food, amazing cutlery. Everything was just impressive. Super clean and just amazing, super perfect!

- Kristina (4/5): - This is NOT a private villa and there is no hot tub! There is a luke warm pool that everyone can see from the street. We really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately there were so many issues. Upon checkout, Alex was extremely unprofessional and yelled in our faces. Very disrespectful! We were celebrating an engagement; there was nothing done to make this stay special. We were also not notified that we would be charged for laundry and “late checkout” due to the power going out for hours the morning we were leaving. We were sweating, could not charge our phones, and couldn’t get ready to get to our next destination. The place had ants all over the stairs and loud construction was going on the entire 8 day stay. Another couple checked in and was equally frustrated due to the false advertisement of what this place actually offers. Finally, we were told because this is a family business, they will dispute and delete all negative reviews. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable since everyone deserves an honest review when choosing to spend their own money for all travel occasions.
- Jeff (8/5): - Villas are located part way between Oia shopping and Ammoudi Bay which is a blessing and a curse since both require going up/down hills. However Ammoudi bay has a free shuttle hear the villas which is helpful. The beds at the villas are very hard. The pool is at a good temperature. It is not a hot tub though. Breakfast comes within an hour of when you select it delivered. Sunsets viewing options are close. Staff is helpful.
- Jimmy (10/5): - This property was perfecf for our stay in Oia Santorini. The property is down the hill from Oia. A quick 10 minute walk but steep hill. Outside of the property there were Free Shuttles to Ahmoudi bay where you have 4 great restaurants with perfect views of the Sunset. Sunset bar was our fav and also Michael Jordan and Oprah been here.. Alex our concierge took care of everything. Rentals and airport transfers. Also a great breakfast. The pool for each villa was perfect and made our stay in Santorini relaxing since there are not many beaches near Oia... Would definitely recommend to any American looking for perfect stay in Oia. Make sure you rent a car or vehicle if staying for few days to visit other towns. Oia is always crowded except for late evenings.
- Ben (10/5): - Katharos Villas are a great place to stay. Close enough to the bay and the centre but far enough away not to get caught up in the hustle and bustle. Everything is walkable if you are reasonably fit and able, if not there are a number of taxi options. Our host, Alex, was super helpful and made us feel welcome throughout. The selection of goods put in the villa prior to our arrival were really good too… water, fruit, coffee, bread etc… all the essentials. For the cost of the Villa our stay represented great value. If you are looking for perfection and 180 degree caldera reviews… expect to pay at least 3 times what it costs to stay here. The villas themselves are well equipped, quiet and cosy (but not small)… We were a party of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters… The villa easily accommodated us all. We would return here.

- Konstantin (10/5): - We loved this place, it was quiet and peaceful, away from the crowds and the noise. The view was beautiful aspecially when relaxing and cooling down by or in the pool. Place was clean and welcoming with food items waiting for us when we checked in. It was well apointed with a nice kitchen and fridge stocked with water, fruit, bread, and other items. Service was attentive and welcoming and we were all happy with our stay. Note the walk to town is a little steep at about 15 minutes, so you will get your exercise. There are free shuttles to Ammoudi. Taxi to Oia is pricy relative to the 3 minute drive that it is, we chose to walk and enjoy the open air and the exercise.

This property is a hidden gem and great find and very safe place to stay with young kids (A lot of the places in Santorini are by cliffside which is not ideal for kids). Moreover we had a wonderful welcome and service by the property manager Francesca. We have no words to praise as he received us from airport and had a welcome basket with essentials at the start of our stay. He is very humble person and helped us with rides to Fira and Oia as we didn't rent a car. Property is very spacious and equipped with all the basic necessities. This will be very memorable in our life for a long time and felt like home for 4 days. We have never come across such a nice property manager. This place and Francesca deserved more than 5 stars!!!

- Jenny (10/5): Amazing family stay! - Family Holiday to Santorini! Couldn’t ask for more friendly helpful hosts Alex and Francesco were amazing, they take pride in their work and nothing is to much trouble. Alex and Francesco are available on WhatsApp throughout your stay. They sent us restaurant recommendations, things to do on the island, and anything we requested. I was a little nervous travelling to Santorini with 3 children as I was always under the impression Santorini was aimed at couples. Katharos Pool Villas is the place to stay and perfect for families. Based at the top of Ammoudi bay (great for swimming in the sea and a little cliff jumping for dad and eldest son). We had hired a car for the week but If staying local in Oia we really wouldn’t of needed it. Alex offered lifts into the town, but again only took 15 minutes to walk to the Caldera. The famous sunset is amazing and can be seen from the Villa. Everywhere is just so picturesque. To add on arrival in our villa was a welcome good and drink hamper which was much appreciated. There is even a smartphone with local SIM card in your room which makes it easier to make restaurant reservations during your stay, my personal phone struggled to connect to local numbers despite area code. Thanks again Hope to return soon.

Location is 10/10 with incredible views, very quite to be able to relax and distress and about a 10-15 minute walk to Oia with all restaurants and anything else you may need. Alex and his brother went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay for about a week. They were responsive and anything we needed was answered/brought to us within a matter of minutes! Pool is deep and super warm, rooms are spacious and very clean offering a very comfortable bed plus 2 full bathrooms with a strong hot shower! Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!
- Andrey (10/5): - Property is very beautiful and very clean. We were very warmly welcomed with handfull of inclusive fruits and drinks and food in fridge. It was also very nice to see baby crib to be there for our small one. Cons were that 3 out of 3 times I went to reception desk. There was no one there. Construction work around property made it unpleasing when enjoying pool outside or having breakfast. Also garbage dump station on the way to property is not very pleasing, I know some of these things are outside of owners hands to improve or change. Overall we had a very good time. Thank you!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Service my family received was 1st class from the moment we arrived at Katharos Villas. The facilities there are very good. The property itself is slightly outside of Oia and involves a 10 minute uphill scenic walk but this shouldn’t put anyone off - we were able to manage the walk easily with children aged 6 and 4 and on a couple of occasions Francesco very kindly gave us a lift. There are other nice touches such as the welcome basket, bottled water and fresh fruit. Overall Katharos Villas is excellent value for money and was ideal for families.
- Colinda (6/5): Perplexed by the ratings. - We booked to stay at Katheros after reading so many glowing reviews. What the reviews don't say is that the villas are not on the water and have views of the ocean obstructed by buildings across the road and telephone poles. We would have rather stayed in Oia or at a higher elevation as Santorini is all about the views. And for the price, at C$850 per night, my expectations were high that this would be a luxurious place, which it was not.

We had some dealings with our wonderful hosts, notably Francesco, before arrival and were relieved to have timely and extremely helpful responses. After our arrival and throughout our stay, we were treated like royalty - nothing was too much trouble but everything was dealt with in a calm, sophisticated, professional way. This is a chic, classy place to stay and the hosts are a huge part of that. We were a party of 5.

The facilities are great. Katharos beach feels like a private beach. The taverna at the beach is all vegetarian with fantastic cocktails. The walk to town is 10-15 minutes uphill, might be long for some but worth it.
- Nadim (10/5): - The visit to Katharos villas was wonderful. Located on the northern tip of Santorini, the setting is peaceful and serene. The hotel is family owned and Francisco the owner is on site and makes for an incredible experience. He greets u at the entrance carrying your bags and does EVERYTHING to ensure your relaxation. The place is well stocked and provides wonderful breakfast and lunch items to consume Located a 15 minute walk from Ammoudi bay as this is a critical location for the best seafood on the island. I could not recommend this more highly.
- Ali (10/5): - Excellent service provided by Francisco and the staff. Awesome place right in the middle and just a stone’s throw from tthe famous Oya sunset point. Highly recommended. Thanks Francisco for taking such good care of us.
- Leong (10/5): Nice and beautiful place with nice breakfast - Nice and beautiful place to relax, away from all the noise after a day filled activities. Villas' owner also very accommodative to request. All in all, a wonderful place.
- Kip (10/5): Exceptional stay at Katharos Villas! - Wonderful stay at Katharos Villas! They go way above and beyond the normal standard of service and hospitality. Alessandro and Francesco were the nicest, kindest, and most helpful people I've ever met. They treated me and my wife like family. Me and my wife were there on our Babymoon trip and first off, they arranged a complimentary ride to pick us up from the airport at 12:30AM and Alessandro met us at 1AM when we arrived to welcome us. We were so impressed with them from the start. On our first day there my wife suffered some trauma to her eye and Alessandro dropped everything and rushed us to a doctor in town. The next morning, he drove us all the way to the hospital to look for an opthamologist which they didn't have there so he went with us to 2 other clinics until we finally found one. We are eternally grateful for them for their kindness and help in our time of need! They arranged transportation and an ATV rental for us. We didn't have to lift a finger and they took care of everything. They served us welcome drinks and had the fridge stocked with drinks and other food items for us to use while we were there. The villa is spacious and the private pool was awesome and fun to relax in, just a little chilly, but Alessandro told me they would be getting heaters for the pools in the future. Everything was clean, well taken care of and comfortable. It was an amazing vacation even with our medical emergency and we can't wait to return to Katharos Villas!
- Anna (10/5): Fabulous Accommodations - The staff are wonderful. Family operated hotel with warm welcoming hospitality! Very close to heart of city Oia and the Bay. Would definitely stay there again! Easily accommodates a family with two bath rooms and multiple sleeping areas. Private pool for each unit.
