- EFTHYMIA (10/5): - From the moment we arrived, the reception team made us feel genuinely welcome. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly kind, attentive, and eager to help with anything we needed. They went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth and comfortable as possible, it truly felt like they cared about every guest personally. The check-in process was quick and effortless, and the receptionists were always smiling and ready with great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. Their warmth and professionalism set the tone for our entire stay. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, clearly well looked after. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which offered plenty of fresh and delicious options to start the day. Everything was presented beautifully and kept well-stocked. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, highly recommended!

- faizel (10/5): - We came in on a late flight from Cappadochia and the staff were just amazing - helped us book our transfer from the airport last minute and more than accommodated our late check-in. The bed and linens were super comfy and just what we needed to get some rest after a late check-in! We would have liked to stay longer but the hotel was sold out. Really nice rooftop restaurant and view of the city as well. Salim, one of the front office staff was amazing helping us book our dinner cruise on the Bosphorous and providing us some great tips on things to do and see in the city!
- Dean (6/5): - all the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good english. The rooftop bar/restaurant is good and the views are amazing. But the facilities in the room were not up to standard. The TV never worked and the showerhead didn't work. The hotel is in a funny area. The immediate streets around it are very dark and there can be a lot of garbage, but two streets up the hill is a street full of cafes and restaurants and Galata tower. All in all - you almost get what you pay for. My advice is go have dinner or drinks at the bar, and stay somewhere else.

- Busranur (2/5): - Tam bir rezalet. Şehir dışından gecenin bir vakti yorgun bir şekilde otele geldik. Özellikle balkonlu superior oda seçmiştik. Aşağıda bize hiçbir bilgi verilmeden odaya çıktık fakat seçtiğimiz oda değildi. Rezervasyon yaptırdığımız oda başka birine verilmiş. Daha geniş bir odaya sizi aldık diyerek balkonsuz, kötü kokan, daha dar bir oda verdiler bize. Biz bu duruma itiraz ettiğimizde ise sizin odanız dolmuş, daha geniş bir odaya alalım diyip başka odaya alındık, resepsiyondaki kişiye nasıl böyle bir şey olabiliyor bir hafta önceden yer ayırtıyoruz nasıl doluyor bizim odamız dediğimde size daha pahalı ve büyüğünü verdik gibi saçma bir şekilde dönüş aldık. Balkonlu odası boş olduğu için bu oteli seçmiştik fakat tam bir hayal kırıklığı.

They told us that we were upgraded but we ended with the same room we booked but with a view on the dark courtyard. Heat pump very noisy. Moisture in the shower and very poor flow.

At the end of each day we came back and were everytime super excited to tell about our experience :) I highly recommend the hotel to all my friends and we will definitely visit again in the summertime. Also i highly recommend the little coffee store next to the hotel, the owners were super sweet and heartily to us. All in all we had a great time and we will never forget our first stay in Istanbul, special thanks to my Abis Salim and Murat :-*

- Shelley (6/5): - Staff was wonderful, very friendly but the property needs some TLC and it is not soundproof at all. We had a room on level 1 near reception and we could hear everything when guests arrived, talking etc. there was also noise coming from the room above but this is because there are no carpets on the floor. Shower head needed repair and the over head shower did not work. There was also issues with cleanliness of the rooms - they were not cleaned to a high standard. Breakfast was ok but we felt it had very little to offer and a few days we didn’t bother to attend. Location was ok.
- Meghan (10/5): - My partner and I stayed at this hotel in January. It was a very nice hotel for the price. It is close to the Galata Tower where there was lots of fun shops and places to eat. It is also in close proximity to the trains. The staff were very nice and always willing to help when we had questions. We had breakfast on the rooftop restaurant every morning and often finished our days up there enjoying some of the amazing cocktails made by the bartender, Huso. We talked to Huso on our first night in and he provided us with many recommendations for things to do during our visit. We really have him to thank for making the trip as amazing as it was. We are planning to come back to Istanbul and stay at this hotel again!

Muito próximo da Torre de Galata Com bastante opções de restaurantes e muita atividade na rua. O atendimento foi excepcional! Pessoal da recepção preocupados com o nosso bem estar e em nos ajudar no que fosse preciso. Café da manhã muito bom, bastante opções de sucos, chás, café, ... faziam o que você pedia também. Ambiente agradável, limpo e uma ótima opção para casais em viagem. Possui elevador, sendo isso muito importante.

Take the hotel tel number with you and get your driver to call ahead as its not easy to find, the staff will help your driver with directions. Excellent roof terrace for the evenings after sightseeing. Breakfast excellent - book it you wont regret it.
- James (8/5): Ideal stay - Enjoyed a five night stay with the hotel nicely situated just away from the crowds. Short walk to the attractions in Galata and nightlife in Karakoy which has a mixture of cafe, bars and restaurants to suit all. Service in hotel was warm and welcoming with a smart roof top bar. Staff were helpful and always on hand - barman has plenty of suggestions and top tips to get around plus mixed a good cocktail. Room was spacious and comfortable but coffee/milk were extra. Breakfast was extensive appears to cater for all needs. Would return if visiting again

- Douglas (4/5): - Good area and nice hotel, but we had a few problems. When we arrived the lift broke, we were told to walk up 5 floors carrying our luggage (no offer to help). The air conditioner in our room was extremely noisy and I couldn't sleep, it then leaked water on a broken light switch and we had sparks during the night. The power was cut several times during our stay. Wi-fi never worked on the 4 nights we stayed. We were then offered a bigger room for our last night, which was a great improvement.

- Chris (8/5): Convenient location, nicely decorated, clean rooms - We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect for sightseeing during our first time in Istanbul. The room was clean, a reasonable size and nicely decorated. The only reason it did not earn a 10/10 is that several of the decorative fixtures were lose, fragile or a bit wonky. But this is more than made up by the friendly and helpful staff and prime location. Also, we were happy to take their offer to request a shuttle to the airport. We found the taxi drivers in Istanbul rather useless at finding destinations (we did most of the navigating ourselves using google maps) and the tiny street of the hotel is hard for them to find. But the shuttle was perfect and good value.
- Farzana (8/5): Very helpful staff and service - The staff at this hotel was very helpful, they were always willing to fix any problem. I was given an upgraded room for a couple of days when I learnt that their standard rooms did not have an outside window. The interior is modern and clean. The bathroom is as per the photos, has a good shower water pressure although one of the room's toilet flush was very slow (room 104). They even provided facial cotton pads (useful for make up removal), tea and coffee facility and a fridge. When I changed back to a standard room, the fridge in the standard room was not working properly but I did not complain about this as they had already given me an upgrade. I learnt that there was several exits to 'Sishane' metro station and depending on which exit one took the street could be hard to find. I had taken the Istiklal street exit and this one was the farthest route to finding the hotel's location. The location is good for accessing Galata tower or Istaklal street. The roof top cafe and restaurant was very nice looking and had a good view.
- Maxim (10/5): Great hotel in Galata - Great location - close to wonderful restaurants, shops, and still within walking distance to Sultanahmet. The surrounding streets are very quiet and people-free at night, which is great from a noise perspective, but may be a little alarming to some if coming back to the hotel late. Very modern aesthetic, a wonderful rooftop restaurant which serves a delicious breakfast in the morning, and friendly staff willing to make recommendations. Would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast is below average and not worth the extra money. Overall it's a good place to stay in, but for the price it's a bit overrated.

The hotel is simple but clean and convenient, close to great shopping and dining choices as well as to the metro. The staff was helpful, we had no complaints whatsoever. If you're on a budget, this hotel is an excellent choice.

- jim (2/5): Horrible hotel - Hotel is located surrounded of many hardware stores,it look like a flee market. To get a taxi you have to walk two or three block, cause streets are narrow and are full of truck that are been unloading all day long. I spend two night at that hotel and I had to moved to another hotel, the air conditioner was not working and I called the front desk and he said to open the windows. Breakfast is been served at 8am, which is a hard piece of bread and coffe. Avoid this hotel. Pictures from the hotel showing on the website are photoshop, hotel is old and in disrepair
- Reg (10/5): Cool rooms - A taxi will not be able to take you right to the door. So if you have lots of bags...However it is a really nice place. Room was comfortable and had cool paintings. Rooftop bar has a good view and the Galata Tower is a 2 minute walk. I would recommend this hotel

We left the hotel 7:00 am and water did not flow and we couldn't take a shower before our travel .They should have water tank or something like that ,it was unacceptable

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - The location, cleanliness, size of the room, hotel staff are great. Three disadvantages; in the hotel info it says 24 hour check in but when we arrived there at 10.30, we were told that the check in is at 2pm. If that's the case, the correct info should be given in the hotel info. However; the staff let us check in and solved the problem quickly after 5 mins. That was a plus. Second problem was the smell of smoke. As soon as I get out of the room, I could easily smell smoke and even more, smoke smells cxame to my room, too. There was definitely someone smoking close by. The last problem was the noise at night. The room could easily hear noises especially at night. I am not talking about the noise form outside but from other rooms. I could easily hear everything and anything from the next door! That was very annoying. But, overall, this is a great hotel in terms of cleanliness and help of staff and location.

I didn't catch the name of the man in the front desk, but his man sets the bar high for service, goes far beyond for the guest in every detail. I would definitely come back when visiting Istanbul. Also very convinience location.

- Mark (10/5): Great hotel for a few days in Istanbul. - Have stayed twice there, both times a delight. The rooms are smart. The staff are wonderful - incredibly friendly and helpful. Upgrades offered both times. The roof top bar and restaurant have views across the Golden Horn.

The staff are helpful and professional. I did not try the restaurant at the terrace but it has a stunning view. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Overheard him telling other customers they may get some water, but this would cost extra. Sure way to keep the place quiet and empty... Would never stay there again
- newyorker (10/5): Good location and great staff!! - I live in newyork and I visit my country. I stated at Walton Hotel and I had great experience. New building, great location, great stuff... I stayed couple of different hotel in same location but Walton is the best one for sure. It's walking distance to Taksim, emonu, grand bazaar, blue mosque, Aya Sophia etc.
- MJK (10/5): Best Hospitality, great location - Everything what other people posted is true. The welcome kit is incredibly helpful to navigate the city! I was very pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of the staff, they are a rare breed of customer oriented hoteliers. It's a very small boutique hotel, where you instantly feel at home. I made the right decision to book a private airport transfer, otherwise I would have never been able to find the hotel. Once you get familiarized with the area, you'd realize that it's one of the best areas in the city. You may find tourists around Galata tower only. There are amazing eateries around the area,patronized by locals only. Few min to a Metro and Tram Stations. It would take only 3 stops with the tram to reach the tourist stuff. Special thanks to Farida, who provided an exceptionally genuine service. Nothing forced, all natural. True perfection! Though they have a restaurant on top with a beautiful view, I would strongly recommend to get breakfast elsewhere and save some bucks. Went there in December and it was freezing, but totally worth it as there were virtually no tourists anywhere! Would absolutely return to this hotel in the future. I would suggest a few things: Tissues in the room Change pillows to something that doesn't resemble a flotation devise, feathers would be good.
- henna (10/5): Great hotel and great service!! - Great hotel located in central Istanbul. Close links with metro, tram and ferry links. Lovely boutique interior, nice shower and comfortable bed. On arrival benan the manager gave us a mobile phone that can be used as a hotspot when out and about. Also to contact the hotel in emergency. An Istanbul travel card and maps. All useful things for us. All the staff went out of there way to make our holiday great. No request was too much. Farida at reception was always happy to see us and full of warmth. Young Abdullah was also very helpful. Would recommend everyone to stay here whilst in Istanbul.
- Joel (10/5): Highly recommended and well deserved top marks - From the moment I entered the hotel the staff warmly welcomed me and treated me with a warm Turkish coffee. Staff made the effort to get to know me and what I wanted to do for my trip. They provided me with useful information about the city, a map of the metro and tram lines and also a wifi device I can use during my stay. I've stayed in many hotels like Shangri La, Hyatt etc but I've never experience this type of customised service that was personal and unique. I would definitely recommend my friends to stay here if they ever visit Istanbul.
- Hunter (10/5): Wonderful hotel in a great location - Walton has some extremely helpful stuffs. Services were beyond expectation: free upgrade, welcoming breakfast, free airport shuttle bus and free mobile wifi hotspot, your business trip do not get better to start with. Location is great, walking distant to Galata Tower, Galata Bridge (also where you can take tram, just in case you are a Melbournian and can live with out tram), Taksim Square. Relatively easy to go everywhere, by taxi, tram, metro. Rooms are not huge but big enough, well facilitated with good art works.

It has a rooftop restaurant/bar which has a great view of the neighbourhood. We got up grade from regular to king suite after sleeping one night and found tiny bugs--not scarry in the bathroom. The receptions are very nice and friendly and tried to help me in everyway possible. The location is very close to the neighborhood restaurants/ cafes/ shopping. During the day has a lot of small lightig stores around with lots of cars but at night is very peaceful.

- Philippa (10/5): Great Hotel in Vibrant Area - Galata is an up and coming vibrant area perched on a steep hill overlooking the Golden Horn. Don't be put off by the down trodden streets and graffiti of the local streets, when you walk through the doors of the Walton Hotel Galata all is luxury. The staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful, the hotel luxurious and modern with heavenly beds, walk in showers and all the little luxuries. An added benefit was a free phone that you could take with you as you traveled the city providing a mobile wi-fi hotspot and access to a constantly monitored whatapp link with the hotel so they could even help you when out and about. They also loaned our free istanbulkart (the Istanbul version of an Oyster card) so that you could get discounted transport and museum entry. They arranged airport transportation for us (highly recommended)and printed out our online boarding passes; received shopping delivered back to the hotel and generally were kind; helpful and courteous. We will be going back and staying here. They also have a sister hotel across the river in Sultanahmet.
