• Craig (10/5): Large Room with Balcony - Great location in town. Large room with comfy bed, shower water pressure good. Breakfast is croissant, cappuccino, yogurt, meat & cheese. Host Guisy very responsive on Booking messages. We will stay again! Pub downstairs had loud music, but only one night.

• Lorraine (10/5): Sorge Palace is a delight - The staff was excellent. Breakfast was yummy. All necessities were provided -- there were even umbrellos to borrow for rainy days. The room was comfortable, spacious yet uncluttered and well-lit. The location is central to the town with restaurants nearby and everything was an easy, pleasant walk to access. The only drawback was the noise from the food and drink establishment below, but it was not so much that earplugs wouldn't counteract it.

• D'Acquisto (10/5): Grazie - Il Sorge Palace è situato in un punto centrale di Mussomeli, il navigatore ci ha fatto girare come una trottola. Abbiamo soggiornato con mio figlio, siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e garbo, virtù di altri tempi. Buona colazione, forse anche troppo, perché normalmente siamo abituati ad una colazione più semplice. Grazie alla Signora che ci ha messo a nostro agio.

La struttura è accogliente, la camera è spaziosa e dotata di tutti i comfort, la pulizia è impeccabile. Più di tutto abbiamo apprezzato la gentilezza e la disponibilità della proprietaria. Assolutamente consigliato.

Breakfast was very nice too. I will definitely come back again. Thank you The only problem we had was the heating as we didn’t know how to turn in on as it was rainy weather when we went and it was a bit cold at night.

Because most guests stay short term, there is no provision for longer stays as to changing bath towels. I think the sheets were changed once.

• John (6/5): If anything it was mostly a nice experience - The breakfast was ok. First day the hard boiled eggs was hard to get shell off. Second breakfast the egg was not cooked through. Coffee was good and bread and jelly and yogurt was good. People were very friendly in the neighborhood. First of all when I made the booking I contacted the owner for directions. He said take the train to acquaviva and taxi to the hotel. What he didn’t tell me was that there is no taxi at the train station. After an hour standing by the empty station I was lucky to find a nice young man to drive me to the hotel about 30 minutes away. I also didn’t like that the goon was above a restaurant with outdoor seating. A young crowd was loud and kept me up. A room in the back would have been much better for me. Hard to get a taxi. The nice lady in the pharmacy in front of hotel said no taxis available but she was able to get me a private man to take me to the next town Sutera. He gave a nice tour and he hooked me up with his son to ride me to the train station the next day.
• Sue (9/5): The hotel was boutique and the location was perfect, its rooms were large and well appointed. - Breakfast was personalised for everyone and offered plenty for a big day of discovery. The staff was friendly and welcoming. A little direction on the local attractions and restaurants for guests would have been welcomed. Perhaps a local map.

• Lydia (9/5): Value for money, would choose to stay here if visiting Mussomeli again - Our apartment was spacious and clean and we even had a great view overlooking Mussomeli with our balcony. We also had a great breakfast with many options to choose from and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Cushions were too soft, could hear noise from below and shower took a long time to drain water so could only have a quick shower.

• Teresa (9/5): We had and a tranquil stay, we would go again. - Lovely room and bathroom. It was important to me that the heating was on when I woke up. It was lovely to walk into a warm bathroom and to put the air conditioning on to heat the room. We appreciated the fact that the staff gave us fruit and yogurt for breakfast at our request. The parking. We were lucky to park outside. Literally one space available. There was limited parking in the square opposite which we used for overnight parking.
• Marietta (6/5): However, the price definitely didn't justify the experience. - We recently spent three nights at Sorge Palace, and our experience was mixed. At first glance, the place seemed clean, but we later encountered some issues. For instance, the shower hose was moldy, and there were several spots of mold in the bathroom. If someone is sensitive to this, I wouldn't recommend it. The pillows were uniformly flat and uncomfortable. The pull-out sofa was very uncomfortable, and the head part sloped, giving the feeling that your head was hanging the whole time. The breakfast selection left something to be desired, but it was sufficient. The croissants were raw every morning, the first morning, we asked for them to be baked a bit more, but they were still inedible the second time, so we didn't bother mentioning it again. The young lady serving breakfast was very kind and smiling. The surroundings are quiet and centrally located.

They had the heaters limited at 14*. We froze. Ended up disassembling a pen to make the heater fan run constantly. We finally unthawed after two days.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were generous and tasty. Only one socket in the bathroom to charge all my gadgets, but it was ok as my adapter had 2 usb sockets.

Aside from the property being aesthetically pleasing, the staff was great. She made me feel at home Maybe the plumbing needs some updates. I think the toilet’s tank had a leak because sometimes it sounded like the water was running for too long after flushing

• Linda (7/5): Great location and a kind manager. - The location was excellent, right on the main square. Juicy, the manager was kind and helpful even though my Italian is terrible and her English was similarly challenged, we found a way to communicate and I really appreciated her effort. I also appreciated the effort Juicy went to with breakfast (as I don’t eat sweet stuff). The only thing missing was some beautiful Italian bread. In hind sight there was a bakery across the road and I could have gone and got some myself. The bed was uncomfortable but it is budget accomodation.
• Yvette (9/5): Lovely place! I would gladly stay there again! - I love the fact that it is centrally located - just around the corner from the Piazza Umberto (main square). Everywhere is within easy walking distance. Mussomeli is a lovely little town - such lovely, friendly people! Giusi is a lovely host - she made sure we had absolutely everything we needed. My room was fantastic - choose the one with the balcony - lovely and charming with loads of space and lovely big bathroom. Decor is lovely - modern with a touch of Sicily! Super clean and good breakfast! I would have preferred a bit more privacy at breakfast - self service for coffee and even the food itself. Giusi was always there - which was nice - but it's sometimes better when guests can serve themselves.
