Guest Reviews
- Diane (10/5): A lovely time and delicious breakfast - Location and my room was lovely.
- Linda (10/5): Most pleasant experience‼️ - We liked EVERYTHING‼️
- Sally (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): The Ludington House is beautiful and they think of every detail to make your stay perfect! - The breakfast was absolutely amazing and so organized! Loved the location and we were able to leave the car parked and walked to town. Nothing!
- Molly (8/5): -
- David (9/5): Convenient basic accomodations - Ludington House is conveniently located to the town's main attractions. The house is tastefully and comfortably decorated, and the staff are very helpful. I will say that the bed in the Skylight room is not so comfortable. The mattress felt a little too soft and saggy. I also found it impossible to take a bath without splashing water along the wall behind the bathtub.
- Lilias Stephanie (10/5): - It is a beautiful historical home. The breakfast prepared by the owners was very special and delicious.
- Abby (10/5): -
- Warren (10/5): Pleasantly surprised at how nice our stay was - The gourmet breakfasts were so delicious and was a special treat. Very unique flavors and pairings
- Wendy (10/5): The hosts are so friendly, the breakfasts were gourmet and we loved all of it. - Beautifully restored mansion built in late 1800’s. Each room was unique and elegant. Third floor steps.
- Eduardo (10/5): - Beautiful accommodations
- Jaime (10/5): - I cannot say enough great things about this trip. Very close to the beach and downtown. Chris, Jenna, Meredith and Carson were all so amazing to meet and took really good care of us. The breakfast were so delicious and made us excited to get ready for the day. We will definitely be back to this beautiful house and town.
- Dorothy (10/5): I highly recommend THE LUDINGTON HOUSE. - Everything was perfect! The breakfast was delicious - beautiful accommodations. The owners were very responsive and wanted the best for their guests. Nothing I can think of!! I enjoyed every minute.
- Leslie (10/5): - Quick and easy. Very accommodating.
- Terri (10/5): - Jenna and Chris are wonderful innkeepers! We so appreciate the history of this home and all its beautiful rooms. Lovely area too! Breakfasts here were awesome! Not only tasty but very creative as well!
- James (10/5): - The Mansion was exquisite
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Jenna and Chris were fantastic! This was my first time at a B&B, I will be coming back!
- Ronald (10/5): - This is a first rate Bed & Breakfast. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. The owners make you feel very welcome, and the breakfast is outstanding. If you are in the area, The Ludington House is highly recommended.
- David (10/5): - Stayed a week-end with my daughter-in-law and we both had a fabulous time. The house is beautiful, grounds well cared for and the food was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room large enough for the two of us. Would highly recommend the Ludington House!
- Watchorn (10/5): The Ludington House is a lovely B&B - you won't be disappointed! - Very nice continental style breakfast plus hot choices such as pancakes and oatmeat. We were also afforded the opportunity to use the full service breakfast option at the companion Cartier Mansion house next door if they were not full.
Also, the host was extremely accomodating. We had one room with a pull out bed (twin size). When the host met my son, a full-grown man, he offered him a separate room at no additional cost (since they were not full that weekend). I can't think of anything I didn't like. Everything we needed was provided and the property was lovely, comfortable and inviting. We had absolutely no issues.
- Williams (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (8/5): Very good -
- Pep (8/5): - Jet tube was great
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely place. Only drawback was the awkward tub / shower in the bedroom We reserved the Skylightroom, and you’re limited to only a bath if you’re tall due to the ceiling height. We would stay again, but would select another roo .
- Ann (8/5): B&B very close to the lake shore. Very well-maintained historical vintage house. - This is the first time we have stayed at a bed and breakfast. The house was very nice and well taken care of. The landscaping is pretty. The house is very well secured with cypher locks on the doors. Staff immediately responded when we had questions. Water was nice and hot. House was very clean. Located very close to the lake shore. The bathroom in our room was very small, but I hear that is common is bed and breakfast. Other rooms had bigger ones I was told. It would be nice if the breakfast had more hot items, and big breakfast options. Located on a busy street. We could hear trucks and cars going by pretty much all the time. A sound masking machine would be nice in the room. I could not see the numbers on the keypad on the door until it lit up. It would be nice if there was a button to light it up, so you didn't hit the wrong button on the first try.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): - This is a charming old house, stocked with lots of books and games. Sadly, we only stayed one night but I would have been happy to stay for a week.
- LaBreonna (10/5): - Wonderful weekend in Th Nautical Suite, hosted by Jenna and Chris. The Ludington House is beautiful and charming and the suite was great! We did not try breakfast but it looked yummy. Both Chris and Jenna were very patient with me while I decided on which room I wanted and were just very thoughtful, transparent, and responsive hosts. We would definitely return for future Gus Mackers.
- Gail (10/5): Amazing - Lovely mansion with elegant original design. Very comfortable king sized bed. Claw foot bathtub. Great breakfast too, while the player piano played in the next room. Hope to return again.
- Patricia (10/5): - Chris and Jena were exceptional hosts. You can tell they care about the B&B and guests. We had a great stay and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.
- Brian (10/5): Simply amazing - Beautiful 19th century home with modern amenities. I looked like a superstar for picking this one. The owners are very responsive and involved with every aspect and go through extra mile to make everything perfect. A definite must-see for anyone traveling to Ludington.
- Jeff (4/5): Nice place--for younger people. Those stairs make it a deal-breaker for anyone with physical issues. - Because the breakfast was served at the mansion next door--which had several steps up to the front porch and without any hand railings, we decided to skip the breakfast altogether and went down the street to a restaurant instead. The house itself was nicely decorated and had many interesting antique furnishings which my wife especially enjoyed. Everything was very clean and staff made us feel welcome. My wife and I both have a heart condition. In addition, she has leg trouble and uses a cane to walk. The 18 steps on a narrow staircase up to our room was very hard for us. She had trouble getting in and out of the high bed and could not use the jacuzzi tub at all.
- Eileen (10/5): Fun and cozy - A fun place to stay in Ludington. The common areas are warm and cozy with board games available. The breakfast was out of this world and the hospitality was outstanding.
- Mitchell (10/5): - Will definitely be back 😊
- yuriy (10/5): - Very nice historic building in a great shape, friendly stuff, delicious breakfast. Definitely will be back and highly recommended. Perfect experience to get back to 19th century.
- William (10/5): - The house was gorgeous and the staff was great. We checked in after hours and the keyless check in was very convenient. It was very clean and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely ve back.
- Ana (10/5): - Wonderful, homey and cozy inn. Delicious breakfasts and lovely atmosphere. Convenient location to downtown and the beach.
- JAMES (10/5): - Delightful B&B, walkable to downtown, easy parking!
- Tina (10/5): - The European Breakfast was wonderful!
- Donna (10/5): - Great location, wonderful food, great hosts. Would definitely stay again!
- David (10/5): - Quaint and quiet!
- john (10/5): - Very clean. Easy parking. Great owners
- cheryl (10/5): - Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Food was great!
- Doug (10/5): - The breakfast was incredible. Bob is a master chef and has a talent that fit very well with this B&B.
Ellen was a perfect hostess who provided all the information of the surrounding area.
We will be back.
- Gerritt (10/5): - We had a great time. Slept well on comfy bed in clean room. Breakfast was delicious.
- yuriy (10/5): - Historic property in a great shape right in heart of Ludington. Delicious breakfast, friendly stuff, easy parking. Highly recommended!
- Cheryl (10/5): - Next time I would start my journey in Ludington. There is loads of places I would have enjoyed visiting in Michigan. However at the end of my journey my knees were tired. The stairs were impressive. Once I had a relaxing and enjoyable conversation with Host Bob. And assistance with my bags. I found my room extremely pleasant and was able to rest comfortably. Next day I was refresh and was greeted with a delicious breakfast. Looking forward to a return visit to this beautiful landmark B&B ❤️
- Kenneth (10/5): - It felt like home. The breakfast each morning was made with locally sourced ingredients and a master chef’s skills. Peaceful, restful and close to restaurants, pubs, and the beach. I’ll be back!
- Mark (10/5): - Clean, comfortable. Great hosts. Great breakkfast. Walking distance to wonderful dining and sites.
- Uisoon (10/5): - Very kind and helpful. Easy check in.
- Teresa (10/5): - Everything about our stay was excellent! The building is beautifully kept owners friendly and breakfast delicious! Location great!
- Emily (10/5): Badger Trip - Great hosts. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful property and town.
- Michael (10/5): - The Ludington House is old, swanky, and incredibly classy! Be advused that the house has no built-in AC. We were there during a freak heatwave, which made the rooms a little uncomfortable, though the staff provided us with air conditioners in the rooms. The whole building is a marvellous example of late 19th Centruy design, with lots of interesting and quirky rooms! The owners of the House were very friendly and accommodating, and also made us some of the best breakfasts that either of us ever had! I would recommend this place to friends without hesitation, both for the location, the beautiful building itself, and the overall feel of the area!
- Dave (10/5): - Very pleasant stay. Room was lovely and the robes were a nice touch… the stairs were a bit much for us old folks. Haha.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Beautiful home & charming area. Look forward to returning!
- Marilyn (10/5): - They were very convenient to where we needed to be .very clean and hosts were nice.
- Luke (10/5): - Excellent!
- Rajan (10/5): - Beautiful historic home. High ceilings, nice decorative touches in all the decorations and ambience, Bob and Ellen were wonderful hosts. Delicious breakfast. They went out of their to accommodate our dietary restrictions.
- Bette (10/5): - Outstanding breakfast, great location & very accommodating hosts! Will be back!!
- mark (10/5): - The place was very well kept and they very friendly. Food was great!
- John (10/5): Fine property, great hosts - Super nice and grand historic home. High ceilings with magnificent moldings and artisan touches captivated my wife and me. Bob and Ellen were wonderful and altered their breakfast plan a bit to accommodate a couple of dietary restrictions I have. Can't say enough good things about Ludington House. Please go visit.
- Rhonda (8/5): - beautiful grounds and lovely host
- Robert (10/5): - Beautiful Victorian house. Great location, gourmet breakfast and friendly hosts.
- Candice (6/5): - I loved the home.

- mike (10/5): - Great place to stay, highly recommend the experience.
- David (6/5): - nice place, close to town a lot of road noise in the corner room only compliant
- Thomas (10/5): Great place to stay - Great Stay Great host
- Paul (10/5): - This property is a beautiful and historic Victorian home. The innkeepers are very friendly, professional, and helpful.
The breakfast was amazing. Our room was on the 3rd floor, very small, but cozy. It was a great overnight stay and very affordable for the budget.
- Judy (10/5): - It was unique
- Elaine (10/5): - This house is so beautiful and the room was charming! The breakfast was wonderful. What a fun experience.

- edgardo (10/5): Great stay. Will be back. - Very clean accommodations. Super friendly and courteous. Great breakfast. Had fluffy peach french toast (more like bread pudding).

- xiaoming (10/5): - Wonderful hosts, excellent breakfast
- Kevin (10/5): Victorian Splendor - Bob and Ellen were excellent hosts. Loved the Victorian parlor and dining room. The breakfasts
were out of this world delicious! Best I’ve had anywhere. Within walking distance of many venues and night spots downtown. The local shoe store was great and the Blu Moon restaurant had custom cocktails, good sushi and great service. Can’t wait to go again!

- Sharie (10/5): - I definitely would stay again
- Shawn (10/5): - Excellent stay
- Lori (10/5): - The hosts were so nice! The breakfasts each morning were very tasty & ample! Our room was clean & well-appointed - little extras like cookies & candies were a nice touch!
The venue is walkable to downtown Ludington, stores, restaurants, parks & beaches. It is located on the main street into town, so there is road noise, but not excessive.
- Arthur (10/5): Extremely enjoyable - our stay at Ludington House B&B was very cozy in the Nook Room--comfortable, relaxing and just downright enjoyable --visiting with our Hosts and other guests was delightful. We will definately return to this venue.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This BNB was awesome and worth every penny! The room was of adequate size for 3 people. The beds were comfortable. The towels were hotel quality. And this BNB was clean. Finished off our great stay with a Gordon Ramsey quality breakfast! Loved our stay and would definitely stay here again! Thanks Bob & Ellen
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful bed and breakfast! Lovely innkeepers and the breakfasts were exceptional! Will stay here again if we ever find ourselves in the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Innkeepers were very kind and attentive. Property and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was superb.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were unaware of our room being on the third floor. The stairway was very narrow and steep. The bathtub was in the room, not in a separate bathroom. Weird.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very beautiful place. Very gracious hosts, comfy bed and pillows.
