The location is great, directly in front of the sea and very convenient for local amenities. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Me and my colleague stayed here for a week while working locally as HVAC installers, and we were both very pleased with the experience. We had two single rooms, which were clean, comfortable, and easy to access. Overall, a simple but very good hotel in Eastbourne, and we would definitely stay again. The only thing I didn’t really like was the mattress, which was not very comfortable for a longer stay. However, overall the hotel was very good value for money and perfectly suitable for what we paid. Everything else was clean, convenient, and the staff were very welcoming.

We made our tea in the room and we had two come drinks and on the first day no room service still dirty cups an glasses when we came back from our day in Eastbourne. We could not keep the window open without two coke drink cans to wedge the window open for fresh air. Uncomfortable bed.

I was disappointed that the bar and restaurant were closed, and that the room was not cleaned during my two‑day stay,for example, the toilet paper was not replenished. They offered 3 complimentary drinks because we had to wait 20 minutes for them to get the room ready for us. We arrived at 5pm only to be told that the room was not ready (check in is from 3pm). We had to wait for it to be cleaned (deep clean according to staff). Once in the room the room looked like it hasn't been cleaned properly in a long time. Would never stay there again. No hairdrier in the room. Pay a bit more and stay somewhere else!

They had shut the bar so you had to go into town to have a drink, they could not help with the parking permits that most of the other hotels in the area sell so parking was full price or park in some random road away from the hotel

The breakfast money was refunded. Bathroom door had a big hole in it where it had been kicked. We DID NOT stay in the Hotel and found somewhere else. The £213 that I paid for the stay WAS NOT refunded. Would NOT recommend this hotel!

- Dreamer10550402017 (2/5): DON’T STAY CLEANERS STEALS YOUR STUFF! - It was very basic tbh, but what upset me is I left my necklace which had my dogs ashes inside it, I got home realise the necklace was not round my neck I contacted them the next day they finally picked up he said he will call me back but never did so I called again the next day this time he said he looked but couldn’t find it… it’s been 4 days since I left of course it won’t be in the room. So I finally went in person again he went up the room dunno why cause at this point it’s been a week since I stayed. I should him a picture of my dog but he zoomed in on her dog tag and I couldn’t find it I said no I’m not looking for her tag I’m looking my necklace I’m just showing you the picture the necklace. I bet the cleaners have nicked my necklace it holds no value to them only me.

- Shirley (1/5): Majestic Hotel from hell - Nothing The list is endless. On arrival the hotel is not clean. The lift was dirty and needed a nudge each time to start working. There was no toilet paper in the rooms bathroom .the toilet had poo and the shower with bath was very dirty I had to ask for a clean. There was no hot water. The room was freezing cold as if honted we had a small oil heater as radiators were not working but made no difference. The floor was uneven and made one to feel dizzy as if your walking on a very soft surface. The whole experience was bad from the receptionist to a bad breakfast

- jackiecT1625NG (6/5): Fine for one night . - Stayed one night with my daughter as we’d been to a show in Brighton. Two single beds, basic accommodation and fine for the price. Hotel a Victorian building so as you expect it would need attention but that comes down to money, communication could be better, lady at reception couldn’t understand my daughter asking to pay for breakfast! Needed to get her manager. Continental breakfast was basic , toast cereal and a choice of strawberry or fudge yogurt! Bananas and apples in a bowl. If you want a value room for a night it’s worth it but don’t bother with breakfast. ( we booked through booking.com)

The curtains in our room were coming down and could not be drawn, the hotel thoughtfully provided a clothes peg!!! Curtains were stiff with dirt! Shower door couldn’t be closed as stuck in sliding groove so water went everywhere. Linen was clean and tv worked. Sea view as requested and paid for. Looked a decent bar area but wasn’t open during our 2 night stay.

They say they can’t find it but I know it’s there, it has no value to the cleaners. I bet the cleaner has taken it. I rang twice now they claim they can’t find it but that’s the last place I had it. It means so much to me as it has my dog ashes inside it.

Heating on all time and guests cant turn it off as if your in a smaller room u feel heat more and was warm weather but for some this may not be a issue. no parking permits at this hotel this time.
