• Hiroyuki (8/5): おすすめのホテルです。是非次回も利用したい。 - スタッフが素晴らしい。フロント、レストランとても良いホスピタリティでした。 部屋も綺麗で快適でした。バスタブがオープンスタイルで楽しかった。 ロケーションもとても便利で、すぐ近くのナイトマーケットはローカル感があり観光客がほとんどいなくてゆっくり楽しむことができます。 扉の付け方が逆に思えました。 シャワールームは外開きなので、シャワー内の水が廊下に流れます。逆にトイレは内側に開きますが、廊下の端にあるので内側の必要はなく、トイレに入りづらい。さらに、出る時は引かないと開きませんが、ついている取手が小さすぎて重い扉をこれで開けるのかっ？ってなりました。トイレの扉の取手も表裏逆につければまだ使いやすいのに。

Genuinely next level service! The hotel location is great for orange and red mrt and the hotel room was spacious and had everything I could need.

• CB Javier (10/5): I would highly recommend staying here! Staff was amazing! - Everything was superb! From check-in to check-out and all the inbetweens were remarkable. Service was impeccable. They would even go out of their way to provide whatever is needed. Bed and sheets were so clean and comfortable. Room was tidy and well ventilated. Location is great as well, very close to where we wanted to go. We could pretty much walk to the places we wanted to visit, close enough also to the nearest subway/bus stop. We checked out the bar on our first night however it was not open. I was hoping to get a few drinks there since it has some good outdoor seating on the 17th floor.

• Bellesister (10/5): Nice and conveniently located hotel in Taipei - This was my second stay at Aloft Taipei Zhongshan. I really enjoyed my stay both times here that I based my decision to stay at Aloft in Singapore based on my experience in Taipei, but they are not to the level of Aloft in Taipei, they are way below. Room: The room is clean and spacious. I think I got upgrade both times. The second one to a room with a bath tub. The amenities in the room is quite complete. They provided bathrobe as well. The bed is comfortable, which is to be expected of a Marriott property. Lighting is good. Location: I thought this hotel is very conveniently located near two MTR stations that is close to Taipei Main Station. The Zhongshan Elementary station is closer, only 3-5 minutes walking distance, depending on how fast you're walking. The walk to the station is also convenient, with protected roof for 90% of the walk, so you don't have to walk all the way in the rain. There are plenty of food options around the hotel. Service: I had great service from the Front Desk for both stays. For the second stay I would like to especially mention Senior Front Desk Agent Fizz who assisted with my check-out. She is very friendly, nice and helpful. Others: The hotel provides snacks and soft drink in the room when you first came in and it's free of charge. There is also a happy hour every day at 3 pm free for hotel guests. I will definitely stay in this hotel again the next time i come to Taipei.

• Koei Lan (9/5): Alles was heel goed en zal zeker hier de volgende weer verblijven. - Personeel en kamer waren heel goed, ontbijt was goed maar meer op Aziatische ontbijt gericht. Goed te bereiken met metro of bus vanaf de airport. De receptie was niet ons smaak en er was ook geen toilet aanwezig beneden. Voor het geval op de dag van vertrek, je koffer even achterlaat en snel van toilet gebruik wil maken voor vertrek.
• DoctorWill_SIN (10/5): Nice place, very pleasant staff, convenient location for getting around town - Had two nights here over a weekend and really enjoyed it. Front desk and restaurant staffs were very pleasant. We had a spacious room and the sunken tub was a nu e touch. Others have suggested aiming for a high floor, especially if facing the main road, and that would be good, traffic noise can get loud at times. Very good location, centrally located and close to MRT that moves you around easily (we also used Uber and found traffic around the hotel to be reasonable; it didn’t take long to get anywhere).
• yellowshaun (10/5): Outstanding hard and soft product at this wonderful hotel! - This hotel punches way above its 4 star grade (and price). The staff are friendly and ever so helpful, conversing very well in english (for guests like me who dont speak mandarin well). We are used to seeing TOTO washlet bidet/seats only in 5/6 star hotels, so that was a pleasant surprise for the WC. We especially loved the gesture of a "happy hour" (4-6pm) whereby complimentary sandwiches and canned drinks were provided for our consumption (Marriott Select hotels worldwide usually do not have any extra perks or lounge access so this was a really nice touch). Dont be deceived by the modest and old-fashioned lobby, the hotel rooms were modern, spotlessly clean. We appreciated the provision of two side-by-side rooms (non-connecting) - Titanium Elite got an upgrade to the larger room; Gold Elite wasn't upgraded. [I understand that the hotel doesnt have suites, only the standard and larger room]. The kids thoroughly enjoyed playing with the tepee tent and ride-on toys provided in the room. The breakfast was excellent in terms of spread and quality/taste, even though we stayed 4 days, it didn't feel too repetitive. Complimentary umbrellas were provided for loan, which proved very useful given the incessant rain. A big thank you for the complimentary bottle of wine when I told the staff I'd like a simple cake to celebrate our anniversary (which they didnt have). Our booking also came with 24h Metro passes! Also, the nearby kung fu tea, a 3min walk away, was our favourite bubble tea shop during our two-week-long trip across Taipei, Taizhong, and Yilan. The nearby night market was another huge plus point as the crowds were thin, though some popular stalls had their popular dishes (dumplings) sold out when i went for supper. Unfortunately, I didn't get to explore the pool as I think it was under maintenance when we visited back in Sept 2025, or the property didnt have one - sorry my memory is hazy! Suggestions for improvement: -Provide stepping stools so that kids are able to reach the bathroom sink to brush their teeth (Ikea provides inexpensive and sturdy options) -The power sockets on the study table were slightly annoying to use due to the open/close locking mechanism that stores them away when not in use, and due to the proximity to the telephone or LAN cable ports. Great for preventing water from spilling into the sockets, but I'd prefer a wall-mounted TV and wall-mounted power sockets. -Don't change our towels every day, maybe only those that are thrown on the bathroom floor? -Do not disturb signs were flimsy, can consider replacing with a sturdier material
• Explorer48843805116 (10/5): Accomodations experience - It's a very nice hotel. Upon arrival at the lobby, we had a very good welcoming experience. Staffs are friendly and polite. Especially Mio of front desk who seriously helped us check in and had a very friendly chatting with us. Mio is really so kind and approachable and she can speak English influencely. James of front desk is also very attentive and helpful who always solves our problem. High quality breakfast although few choices but really tasty. Good location just around 2 to 3 minutes walk to MRT station. It's also very near to the bus stop 1 to 2 minutes walk. Overall we have an excellent stay with nice amenities and this is the second time for us to stay in Zhongshan Aloft and we'll definitely be back again.

• Ochabelle (10/5): A nice hotel with good location - This is my second stay at Aloft Hotel Zhongshan. I stayed in the same hotel last year. The hotel is nicely located near MRT station, very convenient, only about 3 minutes walk to the nearest MRT station. The room is spacious and clean. As a Gold Elite member I was upgraded to a larger room with a bathtub. The bed is really comfortable. They provide snacks when you first check-in, as well as daily happy hour at the hotel. I would like to say thank you to the Senior Front Desk Agent Fizz who assisted me during check out. She is friendly, nice and helpful. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Taipei.

A liiiitle walk away, you have a small night market, food shops, bubble tea, sesame oil chicken noodles, Starbucks (right next to Jolley Hotel), Watsons, CosMed and more. Helpful staff. Got a windowless room though (and I was staying for 7 nights).

Upon arrival, I was offered an upgrade for my room per my status to make my accommodations much more comfortable. The front desk staff was very pleasant. This is my 2nd time staying here and I plan to come again every time I visit Taiwan. The location of this hotel is convenient and was in walking distance to the subway as well as many delightful restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. The location couldn’t be better—it’s right in the heart of the city, with shopping malls, boutiques, and a wide variety of restaurants all within walking distance. Whether you’re looking for a local food experience or a high-end shopping spree, everything is just steps away. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and offered excellent service. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with recommendations or directions.

• 892pb (8/5): Wonderful Team at Aloft - Had a wonderful stay. The hotel location is great as it's close to two major underground stations giving you easy to access all parts of Taipei. There is a fantastic night market behind the hotel that has lots of tasty treats. Lots of cafes close by as well to grab a morning coffee or pastry. There is also a Family Mart across the lane which was really handy. The room I had was extremely spacious and had a small balcony, I was genuinely surprised by the size of the room and lay out. It has great lay out and you were not tripping over furniture or the bed to move around the room. The shower was enormous and had a handheld option, rain shower and faucet. Housekeeping does an excellent job keeping the rooms spotless and well supplied with water and linens The common areas throughout the hotel were spotless and well maintained. All the staff I interacted with were truly kind and genially wanted to help. You were always greeted with a warm welcome and good bye as I came and went in the lobby. Big shout out to Max the night auditor who welcomed me to the hotel at 6:30am and had me checked in and all set up in no time. Max thanks for your awesome energy at the end of your shift, your enthusiasm and passion for the hospitality industry is awesome. Emily thank you for answering my millions of questions on getting around Taipei, you were always up for the task. Your info was extremely helpful and made the stay that much smoother. Only draw back, they do let me know immediately after booking, was that the pool was closed and the fitness facility onsite is a touch small.
• Manuela (10/5): - Das Hotel verfügt über eine sehr gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und war daher ohne Umsteigen vom Flughafen aus erreichbar. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr modern eingerichtet. Die Betten im Zimmer waren sehr bequem und groß. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
• Carmen (10/5): - The happy hour (2pm to 4pm) and lounge area unless there is an event is a plus point. The size of the king bed was also very big. The staff diligently greets the guests and does housekeeping with refill of bottled waters. It was a pity that the gym was too small and lacking in weights and treadmill and that the swimming pool area is closed.

• TravelJunkieABCA (10/5): Great staff and great stay - The Aloft Zhongshan is a great hotel and the staff is even better. I stayed 5 nights with my husband and 2 kids. The hotel did an amazing job accommodating the 4 of us from start to finish, checking in with us prior to check-in and following up after we checked out. Breakfast on the 17th floor is included for Bonvoy Titanium and is a very nice breakfast (asian and western food) including milk tea and eggs made to order. Dry Bar toiletries are a nice touch. The location is great! Even though it's on a big street, it's a quiet area overall and a nice break from some of the other busier areas of the city. It's a nice "middle ground" location between some of the major sites like Taipei 101 vs Shilin Market. 2 different MRT Lines are easily accessible and several buses right in front of the hotel including a direct one straight to the airport. The only negatives I would say is that the hallways and bathrooms are pretty dark but I think that's just part of the overall Aloft "vibe".

Called for more water and they sent within 5 to 10 mins. Love the bed and pillows. Subway station is just within walking distance. Good job!

• Michaeldo7 (10/5): More than satisfied with our stay! - Clean, spacious, and modern looking rooms. Lovely and attentive staff. Free self-serve happy hours are a nice touch! Location was perfect for our visit. Pool was featured in listing but it was closed during our stay. This was one important search criterion for us, so we were disappointed.
• HappyBelly (10/5): Great for digital nomads - We are a digital nomad couple. I loved that the desk is long so that 2 people can work on their laptops. (Just pull up a bed bench and then 2 can work side-by-side). Bathroom is large with a luxurious bathtub. Great location -- we ended up walking everywhere and rarely used taxi or even subway. You're also 10 steps away from a food market where you can get the best Taiwanese donut, beef noodles, and several milk tea places. Staff is super-nice, offering umbrellas when it rain and greeting us with a smile. Would definitely stay here again.

• Abhijit (10/5): - Clean, new, & modern. Very hip property but there are a couple drawbacks. The beds are on the softer side, the thermostat is just on or off and can’t be adjusted, there are only 2 elevators and can be very slow if one is not working, the pool is seasonal, the gym is practically nonexistent, and the breakfast is nothing special. Still was worth the stay for how clean and new it is but not our favorite in Taipei.

Room very clean, big. Every day housekeeping, clean towels, etc. Breakfast very tasty, maybe a bit too small portions but you can choose something international as well as local food. Hotel service totally fabulous; personnel was fantastic, very helpful, nice and kind. Highly recommended !!! n/a
• Matthew (10/5): - It’s not in a tourist area, but very convenient access to the orange and red MRT lines. There is an also a small night market right next to the hotel that provides the night market food and experience without the crowd. Property is well maintained and clean.

• OSixParking (10/5): Third Time is a Charm - Jan 28, 2024 This is our 3rd time at the Aloft Taipei Zhongshan (January 12-23, 2024)…and the 1st time I have written a follow-up review of a place/hotel we had stayed before. Each stay has been better than the previous one. Kudos to the front desk crew (Aloft staff are their “Talent”) as they are situated—and stand most of the time—in a 270-degree fish bowl-like floor-to-ceiling glass lobby that exposes them to hotel guests, outside traffic and pedestrians. They are always cognizant of guests coming and going and greeted us with smiles (even behind face masks) each time. Housekeeping, as always, was attentive (eg, changed towels and provided water bottles daily), but the kicker was the friendliness and the service-oriented nature of the staff on the 17th floor lounge each morning. While breakfast was mostly self-service for the guests, they cleared off used/empty plates at a blink of an eye and cleaned off and set tables efficiently and timely for the next guests once the previous guests had departed. Yes, one morning, the staff forgot entirely about our eggs orders (for whatever reasons) and...after a few gentle reminders...we only got our eggs after a 25-minute wait, glitches happen and no one is perfect. For that, they were apologetic stretching to next morning's breakfast. What we enjoyed most about the Aloft Taipei Zhongshan, aside from its cleanliness and nicely-sized rooms, is its location, its proximity (to great Taiwanese food) and accessibility to public transportation. Unlike previous stays at this Aloft, we discovered that there is a direct bus to/from the Taoyuan Airport. The very comfortable bus…where one could grab it a mere 3 minute walk from the Aloft and at NT$93 per person…makes the trip to the airport in about 55 minutes; that is roughly the same time as taking the MRT (or a taxi) to Taipei Main Station and then transferring to a train to the airport. This is a great selling/marketing point for the Aloft that they should capitalize on, especially with non-Taiwanese visitors to Taipei. Yes…we would definitely stay at the Aloft Taipei Zhongshan on our next trip to Taipei…

• Daniel (10/5): - Much nicer rooms and much more friendly staff than the Alofts that you typically find in the USA. This particular location has a small but functional gym near the top floor (very clean, a few cardio machines, a sit up bench, just no weights) with nice views over the city. The rooms are spacious (for the location) and clean with a great modern set up. The hotel is also SUPER conveniently located very very close to Shuang Cheng Jie Night Market. It is about 4-5min away by walking. At night, it's a small night market that opens fairly late (some stalls will stay open beyond midnight whereas many other night markets start wrapping up around midnight), and by day, there are many other day time stalls and restaurant options open. It is also located near many banks, and the hotel is located on a MRT line, which makes transportation super convenient. The hotel is about 10min away from the closest MRT station. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Super clean rooms and very spacious. - The location was good, walking distance to a small night market and a lot of restaurant choices nearby esp for breakfast. There was a small misunderstanding upon check-in regarding advanced payments but was solved quickly. Super clean rooms and very spacious. The bathrooms were great with a TOTO toilet. The lobby is not representative of the upper floors and rooms, it seemed a little sad. But you will be pleasantly surprised once you reach your room. Bed was too soft for my liking but the rest of the family did not mind it.
• Long (6/5): Conclusion: Basically there is no facility for a 4 stars rated hotel except for the room services to clean the room. I w - Advantages: 1) The room are consider as spacious 2) Love the design at the toilet area, which allow couple shower while the other can use the toilet and brush teeth and etc. 3) Convenience location, just about 3 mins walk to MRT. 4) The bed and pillows are comfy. Areas to improve: 1) I have requested high floor zone with city view. However, the room assigned to me was 5th floor and without any window/balcony. 2) The swimming pool was also closed during winter and i do not have the access for the pool. 3) The gym was really small and without any weights machine and dumbells.

• Calvin (10/5): Wonderful Stay!! - Highly recommended for anyone be it work, family or couple. Each and every staff that I have encountered at Aloft has got an excellent attitude. I feedback to front desk regarding the shampoo pump in my room not working well, and they immediately attended to me next and even drop a letter at my door to inform that they had attended to the issue. I will definitely return back here again!

During our email conversation, I mentioned my preference for soft pillows. To my pleasant surprise, upon check-in, I found a wonderfully comfortable pillow waiting for me in my room. It was a thoughtful gesture that made me feel appreciated as a guest!
