We stayed in a deluxe room that was beautifully decorated and furnished, with a modern bathroom. The terrace was functional but as welcoming as photos suggest. But would definitely stay there again and would thoroughly recommend.

My room was directly across the staff kitchen and they would start making loud noise as early as 5am. The breakfast wasn’t great — I’d save the money and hit town for breakfast.

However, the bathroom was extremely small while sitting on the toilet, my knees touched the sink because it was placed so close, and I’m not even a tall person. The room also lacked soundproofing, so I could hear the guests next door all night.
- Tu (10/5): - Great place to stay in Antigua! The staff were great and very knowledgeable. They helped us with our luggage and the logistics of our room. It’s a beautiful area to relax and their rooftop lounge area made the stay even more worthwhile. Highly recommend!!

- claudia (8/5): Pleasant experience - I had a pleasant experience during my stay. The hotel has a charming atmosphere and is in a great location—just a short walk to Central Park, shops, restaurants, and more. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the terrace on the 2nd floor offers a magnificent view of the volcanoes. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons. The bedding could use an upgrade—new sheets and pillowcases would improve the overall comfort. I was also a bit concerned about safety at night. When someone rings the doorbell late at night, the front desk attendant opens a small window to see who it is and then unlocks the door. I recommend installing a security camera and a guest ID system to ensure only registered guests are allowed in during late hours. Lastly, I returned to my room around 2:30 p.m. and noticed it still hadn’t been cleaned, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with great potential, and I hope to see these small improvements implemented on my next visit.

- Caroline (8/5): - The stay was good and the reason it’s not a 5 is because they put us in the nosiest room right near the employee station so we would hear a lot of giggles and conversations very early in the morning. The ceiling fan in our room would be on but would cool the room until very late at night so it was a little uncomfortable sleeping or just getting ready in the room to go explore but overall the hospitality was great and the hotel is in a really nice location. Everything was walking distance for us. And their rooftop area has a peaceful view.

The place was also a bit noisy, we could hear noise from other rooms/outside. But it was a very affordable and amazing option to visit Antigua!

Dirty towels, dirty bedsheets, a lot of noise from employees using walkie talkies, old peacock constantly making noise at night, you have to leave your room key at the lobby and they aren't responsible for lost items, Male employee at lobby barely answers questions because he is too busy watching tiktoks, he doesn't make eye contact with you because he's just starring at his phone, you pay an average of $218 a night and there isn't even soup at the restroom, only 2 bottles of water provided for my whole stay-4 nights. The most annoying thing is how loud the employees YELL at each other on the hallway in front of your room, even when they use their walkie talkies. The water the plants at night at also make a lot of noise with the hose. I paid for an non smoking room but they have tables outside of the rooms, people smoke there and you can't do anything about it. The sign at the door says they have a pool but the DON'T have a pool.

She kept making a big deal that we had only placed 1 person on the reservation even though we told her we were okay with paying the fee. When my friend asked her for the restroom as we were checking in she told her to wait…as opposed to signaling her the restroom while she was assisting us. We had all just travel from lake atitlan. I am a native Spanish speaker and there was nothing said to her or done to her that could have made her act this way.. she was just weird and rude. The inside of the rooms are okay. The beds were not comfy and both of the comforters were stained. The worst part was the mold smell coming from the bathroom. The rooms on the ground level were pretty noisy. You could hear the workers cleaning and talking to each other. It’s good if you’re looking for a budget hotel on a nice property. The pool at the hotel by the park was very nice and quaint. I’d probably stay there next time :)

- Jose (6/5): - I recently stayed at Hotel Las Camelias and had a mixed experience. The hotel’s charm lies in its cozy atmosphere and beautiful gardens, making it a pleasant retreat. However, there were a few drawbacks that affected my overall satisfaction. Firstly, the lack of air conditioning was a challenge during the hotter days, leading to discomfort. Additionally, when I inquired about transportation options to Panajachel , I received inconsistent information. The receptionist quoted me an inflated price for a shuttle, which I later found to be significantly lower elsewhere. The overnight guy said $75 US dollars and the actual cost was $125 Quetzales which is less than $20 US dollars. Service was another area that could use improvement. I requested an early check-in and was willing to pay extra, but I felt there was a lack of urgency and communication from the staff, which left me waiting unnecessarily. While Hotel Las Camelias has potential with its lovely setting, addressing these service issues would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Room was nice and clean. First room was a single and very small, but do-able for one person. Second room was same price but slightly larger and easier to maneuver. They provide free water bottles and coffee which is nice.

Rooms are small, but the bathrooms are smaller, one of my friends(6’3) had some problems using it. Personnel is kind and profesional. They offered to take care of our luggage and use their common areas(that are gorgeous by the way) even hours after our checkout. They have complimentary coffee and water in the common areas as well.

My husband and myself, stayed at Camelia’s Inn Hotel. Our stay here exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious and the property was immaculate. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Our room had a comfy bed and an awesome walk-in shower. Camelia’s has a very friendly, helpful staff. The location was the perfect walking distance for exploring, all of Antigua. The convenience of booking tours or shuttles, through the front desk, was easy, while offering good prices. We would recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone. Exceptional location, hotel rates and hospitable staff.

If I return to Antigua (which is such an amazing place) I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would say is that the mattress was extra firm. I liked it but realize not all people like a very firm mattress.

Casa el Parque was very loud, right next to a night club that played loud dance music. The beds were also very hard. The location was convenient and it was otherwise very pretty.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. Only disappointment was we were planning to have breakfast here each day but were told they were not offering it in November. Not sure why. - Joseph (8/5): Good stay, with a nice roof top. - Stayed for 3 nights and was happy with the decision. Overall, a nice hotel, in a decent location; close enough to the main part of town to walk to everything. Rooms were well fitted, and had everything needed except maybe a fan. The only main issue with the hotel was the noise. It is right by two different party venues, so you had that noise, which was fine for me because I need noise too sleep. The main issue was I am not sure what was happening on the top floor, but there was constant banging of items and you can hear someone constantly walking. This would continue until about 11pm, but was also happening at 6am when I was awake. It happened all 3-days.

El cuarto es muy oscuro y la iluminación mala, no hay espejo de cuerpo completo. Las camas son cómodas, la habitación espaciosa. Hay tv, pero su servicio de cable nunca funcionó. Quise pedir transportación desde el aeropuerto y me pidieron una foto de mi tarjeta de crédito por ambos lados. Un gancho estaba roto y me lo quisieron cobrar. Buena ubicación. Los de la recepción son amables. Hay café a cualquier hora en una cafetera en el vestíbulo y el café es rico. Tiene una buena terraza y un jardín bonito, lastima que no puedas comer ahi.
- Nico (6/5): - Hotel is in close proximity with attractions of Antigua. Staff are nice and always with a smile. Environment is clean and maintained. Only issue is the musty feel inside the room, and not sound proof. Overall good experience.

- Chari (10/5): - My room was perfect. The many courtyards are very well kept, very charming. Even though no AC there is a ceiling fan great screens on windows, I was always comfortable. It was about 5 blocks to main plaza and walkable although sidewalks are not at all flat and the cobblestone roads are extremely bumpy. I would not want to push a stroller or wheelchair. I’d say not a good town for that. But I would definitely stay here again.
- May (8/5): - One of the best hotels, it has everthing on a walkable distance and the best restaurants around the corner. Just had a small inconvenience with breakfast because expedia says it includes it but it does not.

- Paul (4/5): - Room was very different to pictured and to small to fit 4 persons, no space for luggage or cases. room had a dank/mildew smell which was concerning. The room was super hot at night and uncomfortable to sleep. The fan didn't work, asked reception 3 times to have it looked at, no one did. We checked out a day early. The grounds of the hotel are nice and the complimentary tea/coffee is appreciated however I would not recommend based on the quality of the room we where given.
- guido (8/5): - We stayed in room 22 on the second floor.The room is very tiny and I've had to move sideways to enter the bathroom, otherwise entry wasn't possible.Im 6'/210lbs if that helps.We were only able to watch channel 3,no signal on other channels.There's no air conditioning in this room.The room itself was clean ,the bed was small as well.Staff was very friendly and no complaints there Fazit: If you need space,this isn't the room you want.
