- Antonette (8/5): - The cottage was nice and clean. It was in a very good area for the gospel concert that I attended. I had no problems.
- Jeffrey (4/5): - We found the suite dirty. There were food particles left in the kitchen sink strainer. There was an unopened condom package on the floor by the bunk beds. The light switches and fixtures were filthy. The toilet bowl had a pink ring in it when we arrived indicating that it was not cleaned before we checked in. The floor was dirty. The kitchen range and oven were outdated and dirty. I let the shift manager know about the dirtiness of the unit upon check out and was directed to send pictures of the lack of cleaning to an email address. I did send the pictures and an expression of my disappointment with the condition of the unit in an email and received no response. The unit is only 3 blocks from the boardwalk which was a major reason for choosing the cottage. The neighborhood around the property is so-so.

- Alisha (10/5): - We stayed in the upstairs seahorse cottage for a week. We loved it! We had a fantastic time. The cottage was perfect for my family. Everything was in walking distance and my kids loved the pool. We will be returning and would love to book the same cottage next July 4th again. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and the AC worked great. The kitchen does have slim supplies but still everything I needed to make meals daily. Thanks Midtown for an awesome stay!

So we weren't in the room a lot but it was very dated and musty smelling. the furniture was very stained and dirty so we just kept it covered with the sheets that they did supply. They wanted us to get our own towels from the office and take our used ones back to the office. The pictures were nothing like the room. The view was amazing we were by the beach and when we sat on our porch it was quiet and we had the whole courtyard to ourselves which was amazing Donna the housekeeper was attentive and very very welcoming she talked with us every night she made sure we were comfortable she made our stay very enjoyable. Definitely was not worth what we paid

- Rocco Phillip (10/5): Memories are made staying here. - Wow! What a piece of Myrtle Beach accomodation history. If you like swanky motel/cozy cottage travel accomodations, please consider checking in. The cottages are managed by Midtown Inn, check in and inquiries are completed at Motel office. Motor Court has full time cleaning and maintenance staff. We stayed at Seahorse Cottage. All linens, dishes, silver ware provided. If you forgot something, front desk staff will happily assist your forgetfulness. A 10 minute walk from the Atlantic ocean, Ocean Blvd. And amenities. Midtown Inn used to be right next to the Historic Pavilion and Pavilion amusement park, please watch a YouTube video of the old pavilion and Amusement Park if you are not familiar with MB history. We brought bicycles, as MB is a bike friendly area. We were in MB for the week at Ripken baseball a 15 minute car ride up an down 10th Ave (aka Mr Jos White Ave). A 30 min bike ride to Ripken. Night life and entertainment is MUCH more vibrante around the motel and off ocean Blvd then off Hwy 17. Many older motels are coming down the city has a revitalization plan. Long live the memories made at Midtown!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quaint w/ Great Location (Basics Only) - We stayed in one of the cottages as opposed to the main motel. The hotel staff was friendly, and quick to act when we had questions. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get help (THANK YOU! :). The room had the basics: bed, dresser, side tables, TV, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There was a small clothing hook in the corner that could hold 5 garments if needed. Note: bring your own iron or steamer if you need things like that. The walls are paper thin, so I would recommend it to couples and groups of friends that are there on a budget, definitely not light sleepers. The Decor was cute and beachy and The room looked like it was recently renovated. Now, the LOCATION! We were able to walk to the beach and boardwalk in about 5-10 minutes, and less than a 10 minute drive for places to eat and things to do away from the strip. The area felt pretty safe, as it was a common destination for everyone visiting. I would stay there again, I really enjoyed my stay.

The location is close to the boardwalk and beach which is great considering the price range. The bathroom was clean but the shower was short and most people would need to bend down to wash their hair.

That by itself was inexcusable with no affordable alternatives and most.other hotels sold out. I appreciate mgmt getting a newly acquired cottage ready for us, but there were roaches and flys in the property and no wifi available so i could not work in fhe evenings as was my intent. Mgmt should have moved the visitors they bumped us for in the othwr property and honored their commitment to us - i will return to myrtle beach to be sure, but will not be giving this property my return business - very disappointing and handled completely wrong

There was partying outside at night at other places but once we closed the door you couldn't hear anything. Everyone in the office was so nice and friendly. They explained everything upon check in. It was an easy check in and out process. Would definitely stay there again.

When we need it more towels the stuff was too kind!! Six beds and a couch, had plenty of room with a full working Kitchen. I will be renting this place again!!!

The cleanliness of the cottage wasn’t the best and the picture was a little deceiving as far as the couch is in 1 of the bedrooms and is extra bedding. - Crystal (4/5): Would not recommend staying here - Would not recommend this place. The pictures online are deceiving. This place is located in an area with drug sales and prostitution. I was sitting on the porch with my granddaughter and witnessed one prostitute attack another prostitute. A lot of shady people hanging around as well.
- lorie (8/5): Sister vacation at Myrtle Beach. - My sister and I stayed here in Starfish 4. It was clean and the folks in the office were very friendly and helpful. There was no wifi though. They should stop advertising that it has free wifi as one of the workers said they never get wifi. Otherwise it was super close to the boardwalk and easy access out to 17 to get to other areas. Airconditioner worked well but was pretty loud. Interesting locals come out after dark - we didn't venture out after dark.

The room was clean and served its purpose. Anything i needed to cook on was there. If you can get past some of the beach bums lingering around you will love it here. We will come back again!!!!

- Verified traveler (2/5): - First, it is in a really bad part of town even though it is only two blocks away from the beach. Would have been nicer if it was on the beach. Secondly, we paid for a room with a kitchen/dinning room and free WiFi. When we got there and checked in our room was just a really small bedroom with a small bathroom and we did not have WiFi all week long. We also have never got our refund back that they said we would in 2-7 business days. I would not recommend staying here at all. You are better off paying more for a hotel or condo on the beach.

The evenings were filled with people watching from our balcony. There were some undesirable sights after dark, however, the local police patrolled the area very routinely, so I never felt unsafe or at risk.

- Kennith (10/5): Perfect Location - Such a great location to stay! We had a few downs though. We went through hotels.com and our room was never confirmed with the hotel so when we got there it took forever. Please remember this was not the fault of the hotel itself.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cottage itself was nice, managers were easy to work with and accommodating. The unit does look like the photos that were posted on the hotels.com website. The only complaint we had was the general area. There were some shady characters down the road from these units, so it may not be the best location for a family with young children.
