Guest Reviews
- Sabine (4/5): Lovely studio but be prepared to wait for the keys - I'm starting with the plus side: great location with a Starbucks opposite and in walking distance to Times Square, cozy and bigger than the average hotel room, very clean, air condition and wifi work fine.
However it's not for the fainthearted: Three days prior to arrival I contacted the number and provided date and time of arrival to avoid unnecessary waiting time. When I got to the studio nobody was there so I had to ring again. To my surprise they asked if I had a reservation and eventually sent two people who turned up 30mins later. They were very friendly and apologetic but it doesn't help if the check in process is unprofessional and takes 45mins. Bed is smaller than king sized, bathroom door needs fixing and jug of coffeemaker is missing.
- Douglas (4/5): Not a hotel - This is a studio apartment that you have to arrange to meet a person at the unit to get the keys - not a hotel or "check-in when you feel like it" place. They did work with my schedule but I wasn't planning on having that constraint on my arrival time. The bed is NOT king size as listed - maybe queen but felt small for two people. No soap or shampoo provided. The two pillows on the bed were terrible and there were no extras.
On the bright side the unit was very clean and in a good location!
It is right at street level so noise is pretty constant all night but the window air conditioner masked it some.
- Kristina (8/5): Great alternative to a hotel (with minor issues) - This apartment rental is a great location and wonderfully updated although small as noted. The photos are an accurate depiction of it. We had to wait 20 min to get into the room (I called the owner through Hotels.com upon arrival; maybe he could have asked when we were getting there or exchanged contact info sooner to make this easier). It wasn't a big deal but it could have posed an issue.
There also was no extra toilet paper and we were there for 4 days. Wish there was a full length mirror and maybe even a small pull-out. The room was clean and the decor was cute. But other than that, we took a bit of a risk and truly enjoyed our stay in this cool apartment where we felt like locals instead of tourists so thank you!
