- Deborah (5/5): - Old and drab needs to be painted , entrance hall dirty had not been swept. Very dark and noisy. Busy main road nearby.
- Mary (3/5): Poor - For us it was a very disappointing experience. Having requested single beds we were given a double, not really suitable for two friends. The receptionist was very dismissive of us and we were told (not advised) to check our booking! The swimming pool was so small nobody could swim in it and it wasn’t very clean. Although we had booked B&B, we didn’t bother with the breakfast as our experience overall was very disappointing. Welcome should have been friendlier, as paying customers we shouldn’t have been dismissed when we had confirmation we had requested single beds but the receptionist wasn’t interested in seeing that.

You can tell the new owners or managers are just not too bothered about appeal and making it warm and welcoming and inviting. Wouldn’t book again. Rather Airbnb. Staff attitude and how it looks.

- Richard (4/5): Not 4 star and therefor overpriced. - The staff very kind and extremely helpful. Breakfast is reasonable with fair choice, do not think its 4star. Bedroom is spacious. Shower/toilet/hand basin room tiny. Shower door position to the tap's location, are wrong way around. Shower cubicle small. Shower water drains very slow, standing in water. The floor pan may be leaning the wrong way. Toilet is for toddlers, FAR TOO LOW DOWN to the floor. Redicuelous. Towell rail extends away from the wall and extends just over the toilet, if it drops, right into toilet. The same with narrow shelf behind the toilet, items easily fall off, AND, into the toilet. All due to the very small space. Window latches should be replaced. Parking inside yard limited, overflow must park outside on the roadside, not safe.

It was dark and outdated, and the carpets had me grossed out.The rooms had a moldy smell .The bedding was thin and uncomfortable. The showers made a big mess ,which took more time clean than enjoying a nice hot shower. For a four star establishment, it doesn't come close more to a two star.What you see on the website and what you get is a completely different thing.Really not worth the money I paid.

Though it was not that much of an inconvenience as there were not many tenants at the time, I think they need to relook at the parking space allocation.

Cooked breakfast offered but continental style poor, with burger cheese slices not real cheese. No fruit available on the last day of stay. Cooked food was only warm and not hot. We booked self-catering accommodation on booking.com, but on arrival, I was told it was already booked out. Booking.com failed to remove this from their site, which made for a difficult conversation with the hoast. Devine was lovely and offered us the kitchen to use if we needed it. But not the same as what I had booked with private living room, fully equipped kitchen and direct access to the garden, etc.

- Alex (9/5): Calm stay in a safe neighborhood with excellent connection to Cape Town and surrounding areas - Exceptional location to discover the cape town wine farms from, as well as cape town itself. The room is spacious. The aircon is delightful in summer, and the regular ceiling fan is nice for cooler summer days. The room came with a parking spot within the gates of the accommodation. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our late check in due to flight delays was handled graciously, for which we are very thankful! The bathroom fan was quite noisy and the bathroom itself is a bit cramped. The kitchen sink was heavily used and quite stained (though not dirty!).
