• Peggy (10/5): - Die Afrique Lodge ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße und dennoch nur wenige Gehminuten von Geschäften und Restaurants entfernt. Besonders beeindruckt haben uns der traumhafte Garten sowie die liebevoll angelegten Rondavels, die hübsch eingerichtet sind und über ein geräumiges Bad verfügen. Überall findet man wunderschöne Dekorationen mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Frühstück war okay und das Obst wurde jeden Morgen kunstvoll arrangiert. Roanda ist eine sehr sympathische und äußerst aufmerksame Gastgeberin, ihre Tipps und ihre Fürsorge haben unseren Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefüihlt - alles war einfach super. Sehr empfehlenswert!
• Lucien (10/5): Perfect in every way - Honestly a peak experience at lodge Afrique. Roanda, our host, was just lovely - so welcoming and helpful. The small houses are decorated with taste, very clean and well equipped. The hotel is very calm and quiet. The hotel is perfectly located in Saint Lucia, close to the restaurants but not in the main street which is perfect. Breakfast was amazing. Very safe with fences and security (the city is very safe anyway). Honestly nothing to improve everything was just perfect 😊. Nothing - Could not have been better.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and from the start we felt genuinely taken care of — including a lovely welcome drink on arrival. The lodge has a really cool atmosphere with tropical vibes everywhere: palm trees, lush greenery, and a relaxed feel that immediately puts you in holiday mode. Nice pool. Location-wise it’s ideal: just a short walk to the town center with restaurants and shops nearby, so you don’t need a car to get around. That said, parking is available, which was super convenient. Breakfast was extensive, fresh, and very enjoyable — a great way to start the day. One detail we really appreciated: they even provide a cooler box and beach towels for a day at the beach, which is such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommended if you’re staying in St Lucia! Nothing

• Dieter und Beate Priewe (10/5): Ein einzigartiges Erlebnis voller Natur und herzlicher Gastfreundschaft. - Wir fühlten uns bei Roanda von Anfang an sehr wohl. Die Lodge Afrique ist wunderschön angelegt – man hat fast das Gefühl, mitten im Dschungel zu wohnen. Roanda war jederzeit aufmerksam und hat all unsere Wünsche erfüllt. Ein besonderes Highlight war St. Lucia selbst: Wir konnten dort tatsächlich Nilpferde durch die Stadt laufen sehen, ein Erlebnis, das man so schnell nicht vergisst. Wir waren vom 25.12. bis 28.12.2025 vor Ort und haben jede Minute genossen. Die Nachtsafari mit Sakile war absolut beeindruckend – spannend, informativ und perfekt geführt. Insgesamt ein großartiger Aufenthalt, den wir jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

There is not one corner or angle that is not decorated. Breakfast is also really good. Staff are lovely and attentative, and Roanda is an amazing host, she made us feel right at home.

• Madeleine (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf op mooie locatie - Het ziet er in werkelijkheid mooier uit dan op de foto’s . De ontvangst was super vriendelijk en heel uitgebreid qua informatie. Het chalet waarin wij sliepen staat in een prachtige grote tuin vol met tropische planten. Roanda gaf ons veel informatie en tips en we voelen ons thuis. Het ontbijt was top en de locatie is op loopafstand van restaurantjes al met al een hele fijne tijd gehad en echt een aanrader om hier te verblijven. Eigenlijk was er niks wat tegenviel. We vonden het jammer dat we weg moeten kunnen deze locatie iedereen van harte aanbevelen.

Je waant je op Bali (althans daar zijn we wel eens geweest dus zo voelde het) Roanda is een vriendelijke host. Het personeel erg aardig. Het zwembad is klein maar prima. het zijn 8 los staande 'huisjes'. Het beste ontbijt van onze vakantie! ruime kamer en badkamer. Minibar. Wifi prima. Goede locatie. Wij zijn naar het dorp geweest met de auto. Het is ook te voet te doen. Je komt in de avond dan wel hippo's tegen die aan het grazen zijn om de hoek... en ook Pumba's. Een leuke gewaarwording. Van hieruit ook het Isimangaliso Wetland park bezocht (zelf drive is prima te doen, wij zagen dezelfde dieren als tijdens de georganiseerde avond drive, die heel hobbelig was maar ook bijzonder) Ook de hippo en Croc tour gedaan. Toen we vertelden dat we naar Cape Vidal gingen legde het personeel uit eigen initiatief 2 badlakens voor ons klaar in een strandtas... En wij moesten de laatste ochtend vroeg weg (06.30 uur) omdat we de huurauto tijdig moesten inleveren in Durban en van daaruit een interne vlucht hadden naar Port Elizabeth. Toen we dat het personeel tijdens ons verblijf vertelden zorgden ze " gewoon" dat er de avond ervoor een mooi ontbijtpakketje bij ons werd gebracht voor onderweg...hoezo service! En toplocatie op 400 meter van het centrum.

Ee wordt veel aandacht besteed aan het creëren van een thuis gevoel. Bij het ontbijt een speciale starter. Aan de balie goede informatie over activiteiten. Ontbijt is sterk gericht op engels ontbijt. Daarnaast is het aanbod heel beperkt. Te beperkt.
• Eva (10/5): Fantastische tijd bij Lodge Afrique - Wij hebben een fantastische tijd gehad bij Lodge Afrique. Roanda en Gerda hebben gastvrijheid enorm hoog in het vaandel en dat merk je in alles. Een niet werkende airco werd direct opgelost middels een andere kamer. Daarbij werd genoemd dat we ons bij elke opmerking moeten laten horen want "het is vakantie en je moet je laten verwennen"! Dames enorm bedankt voor ons relaxte en fijne verblijf. Niets!

The lodge is beautifully decorated and has an outdoor Indonesian vibe with a spectacular tropic garden. Good water pressure in the rooms. Breakfast was made with attention to detail, we recieved a cold and warm breakfast each morning. Can't fault them on anything. The location is perfect, off the main road, and peaceful. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if I came back to St Lucia.

• Painterjane (9/5): Wonderful tropical lodge with gorgeous personal touches, high end rooms and excellent breakfast - Beautiful, personally run lodge. The deckway to your gorgeous decorated rooms makes you feel like you are in Bali. The personal attention from the host and staff were great. The resident cat cutie pie makes you feel relaxed and down to earth. The decorations around the main entrance have been meticulously thought about and really add to the tropical ambiance. The breakfast every morning was superb. The fruit served as a starter had a different design every day - one day a kebab, the other granola cups, wonderful presentation. full English breakfast, omelets, cheeses, yoghurt, orange juice and excellent coffee. Highly recommended - we will be back. The hosts and staff gave us loads of ideas for day visits and can help arrange early morning game drives. Every morning we were asked if we had spotted the resident "townie" hippos in town at night. Thanks for the excellent stay. I would have liked an option to maybe have a breakfast as room service one day but they did offer a take away breakfast if you needed so i guess we could have asked for that.

The units are too close to each other, if the blinds are open you can see right into the next unit. However this didn’t bother us as we were out most of the day and came back in the late afternoon.

Their knowledge of the region is impressive, and they offer excellent recommendations on activities and places to visit. Booking activities through the lodge was not only convenient but also more affordable than booking directly. Overall, our stay was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and well-organized getaway! There was nothing I didn’t like about my stay. However, I wish I had sought advice on activities at the time of booking, as some were fully booked when the staff tried to arrange them for us upon arrival.

• Ahmad (10/5): Exceptional - I had an amazing stay at Lodge Afrique! Muriel, our host, went out of her way to make everything perfect. The staff were super helpful, giving us great recommendations and helping us book local tours we wouldn’t have found on our own. Muriel even dropped me off for my horse riding, which was such a thoughtful touch. The hospitality here really reflects the warm and welcoming spirit of South Africa. On top of all that, when I forgot my medication, the staff made sure it was sent to my next destination. Truly exceptional service! Nothing I can think of!

La propriétaire donne de bons conseils sur ce qu'il y a à voir dans les environs de St Lucie. Plusieurs restaurants dans la rue principale de St Lucie. Nous avons eu la chance de voir les hippos se balader en ville dès notre premier soir. Impressionnant! Nous étions contents d'être en voiture!
• Tim (9/5): A tropical haven in St Lucia! - What a gorgeous place to stay! Although the chalets are close to each other the setup is so nice in a lush tropical garden that your privacy is guaranteed and the place is very quiet. We loved everything at this property. A short walk to the main street with restaurants. Stayed 4 nights. Breakfast was amazing with every day something special. This must be one of the best places to stay in Sty Lucia. Nothing at all.

• Hernandez (10/5): Darling lodge setting in St. Lucia! - Lodge Afrique is a darling lodge 5 min walk from the center of town. Merril & Shama were wonderful to work with! Merril especially had wonderful advice on things to do in the area and since we weren't on a scheduled tour that was very helpful. The setting is darling with individual huts for every room and beautiful landscaping. Breakfast was exceptional! The best I have had so far on my trip! Even though St. Lucia felt extremely safe, I am grateful that they had a gated facility where you could park your car. If you are going to St. Lucia, make sure you stay here!! Honestly I thought it was a great place and I have nothing negative to mention!

• Alison (8/5): A pleasant two night stay in St Lucia close to all amenities. - The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They helped with booking our activities and accommodated our late arrival. The decor was quite unique... I loved the lodges but the decor inside was quite busy. Also very dark in the rooms and had to put on the lights even during the day.
