• Marie (10/5): Great guesthouse in Knynsna! - The room was very large and clean, beds were comfortable and Rudi is a very knowledgeable host. The family room had a nice selection of teas and delicious ground coffee for the french press with fresh milk as well. Lovely balcony to sit on and enjoy the sea view while having a drink. The owners have 2 friendly pugs but you don't hear them while in the room.

We enjoyed our spacious room, which included small kitchen area (sink, dishes, utensils, microwave, refrigerator/freezer); couch; chairs; large king bed and nice bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delightful, especially the scrumptious omelette and large fresh cut fruit cup. The rooms had patios that overlooked the town as well as the yard with refreshing pool. Most of all, the host Rudy is delightful and very helpful with recommendations, maps and phamplets. Thumbs us to Aestas B&B and Rudy for a wonderful guesthouse at a reasonable price. Thank you!

Fica um pouquinho longe do Waterfront que é onde estão concentradas as atrações mas, como é bem fácil de estacionar lá, não tivemos problema. O dono até falou que poderíamos ir a pé porque eram só uns 10 min andando e era seguro mas estava uma noite muito fria. O café da manhã foi bem satisfatório e o quarto também. Definitivamente recomendo!

A warm and relaxing rain shower to finish the hiking day. The owners are so sweet and kind, as they care about all the details to make you feel like at home. A great and delicious breakfast is available with many options. For sure I come again when I have the opportunity

• P (8/5): Look hard there is a lot here for the money - This guest house is well located close to the waterfront and shops. It isn't the most chic place but it has everything a guest could need. Pool towels, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, bbq facilities, safe parking, thorough information on the area and advice on things to do. The breakfast is again not fancy or trendy in presentation but it is good food, well cooked and enough to choose from. All in all its a great value stay.

• Stuart (8/5): Good value B&B with pleasant views over lagoon - Stayed here for three nights while travelling the garden route. The hosts were friendly and offered tour advice and recommendations for places to visit. A tasty cooked breakfast was provided along with the usual cold cuts, cereal and pastries. The room itself was spacious with a lovely balcony, kettle and fridge. There are also pretty gardens with a swimming pool. Aestas offered very good value in the centre of Knysna.

• victor (10/5): superb guest house - Great place to stay, close to all amenities and a very clean and tastefully decorated apartment. Sliding doors access to pool area and the best bit has to be the owners who were so customer service focussed. We will book again if we return to Knysna.

• Sylvain (8/5): guest house familiale bien placée et propre - guest house niveau 3 étoiles simple mais très correct. Accueil charmant de la part des hôtes néerlandais qui parlent français. Chambre vaste avec petite douche et un balcon avec vue sur le lagon de Knysna, orienté sud ( donc pas de soleil sauf le matin tôt et en soirée). Petit déjeuner correct mais assiette de bacon avec oeuf et tomates (pas de saucisse et champignons!). Parking privé pour l'auto. Bon rapport qualité-prix. Je devais y rester 1 nuit et j'y ai une 2nde nuit. Restos et commerces à pied en 3 mn.

Good and safe location with restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is good and the host gave us a great welcome and provided us with lots of information regarding the to dos on the Garden Route. We stayed for a night and had really had a good rest. Good job!
