Guest Reviews
- Karmaidine (9/5): -
- Solomon (8/5): Some staff at breakfast not polite - Good location and good room, toilet is clean Nothing that I will don’t like
- Dorisa (4/5): Wasn’t the best stay for the price - received breakfast vouchers that I can’t even use. - The shower Heating unit was not working well. The view from the hotel room was terrible- we were in room 213 and our view was pipes and hotel building structures. Received breakfast vouchers that we can’t even use.
- Lumay (10/5): -
- Timothy (10/5): Excellent - Excellent Staff and facility
- sokol (10/5): -
- Robert (5/5): Probably go to another hotel next time - Location Not clean. Mold on shower and splattered stuff on walls and door and bath fan not working
- Rayford (4/5): Celebrating our wedding I just expected better service and nicer room staying in Troy. - The surrounding shops and restaurants. I appreciated the free breakfasts tickets we received as we celebrated our wedding night. The room was not very clean when we arrived. My wife smelled gas inside our hotel room. We made this known to the front desk staff and at some point while we were away, someone can in to change the filter in our room. The smell went away but whoever changed the filter did not close the vent screen so while laying in bed we had to accept looking at the hole in the wall that lead to the furnace unit. We called the front desk and all they could off us at 9pm was to move to another room. All we needed was someone to come up and use the key to lock the vent. Instead we decided to put a chair against the vent to keep it closed and stay our last night in the room, to avoid packing our things and moving to another room.

- Patrick (10/5): - Close to everything
- Rajasekhar (8/5): - Its ok.. hyped to extent and not worth it
- Marc (8/5): -
- Jody (8/5): - This was the first time we stayed since needing an accessible room. The room was well layed out and had several unexpected and thoughtful features such as low bar for hanging clothes and closet bins that were reachable from a wheelchair. Bathroom was large and very functional.
- Nancy (8/5): - The vent in the shower did not work.
- Guido (5/5): - Roomservice inskzeütabel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean, nice staff, pool was clean, hot tub was great

- Adilson (5/5): - Funcionários Limpeza dos quartos
- Mickey (10/5): - Great stay and clean rooms
- Monica (8/5): Nice, clean & quiet hotel with few - The Hotel mas nice, room looked cleaner than average because the floors did not have carpeting, big TV, confortable beds and very good pillows. They did not offer free breakfast or Hilton Honors discount unless gold or higher. Continental breakfast was very poor for $12.99 , hot breakfast was $17.99 including scrambled eggs, sausages & bacon, plus what Continental included (oatmeal, fruit bread & coffee)
The hotel does not have a coffee bar + tea at all times like other Hiltons do, only during breakfast hours, we stayed at a Hampton inn by Hilton in Columbus Ohio previous to this one and the lobby had a coffee bar with a great selection of tea & free breakfast for about the same price.
- Chrys (10/5): Exceptional -
- June (10/5): - We greatly enjoyed this hotel. It was me (71), my 40 year old son, and 6 year old grandson. There were lots of good seating and meeting spaces, inside and out. My grandson enjoyed the pool. The restaurant and bar service were satisfying. The location is excellent with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to I-75 and Detroit and more.
The staff members were hospitable.
And the price was right! We will return.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): - Very nice. Good location, helpful staff, nice rooms.
- Butrcup1210 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): - Nice hotel with comfortable bed and clean room.
- Lauren (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Good restaurant.
- Holly (10/5): - I plan on staying here again
- Jeremy (10/5): - I enjoyed the breakfast bar, the gym accommodations, and the room because it was peaceful and very comfortable.
- Rhian (10/5): - I absolutely love this hotel.! i love the contactless check in and room access. i also love the convenience of nearby restaurants and other things to do.
- Tom (6/5): - The continental breakfast cost seemed high especially since there was zero protein available. Protein was available at an additional cost of about fifty percent higher. They also charge an additional cost per day for “incidentals” in case we damaged something. The incidental cost will be refunded provided we didn't damage anything.
- Stephen (10/5): - Super fast check in and very nice clean property.
- BASUKI (6/5): - The maid comes every other day, but the liquid soap was low. Tissue box almost empty. (2) hangers in the room. The floor seems hardly vacuumed.
- Alivia (1/5): Bad - Nothing Absolutely one of the worst places we've checked into. The first room had a bloody mattress. Second room had blood stains all over the comforter. The third room looked like it had literal shit stains on in. We didn't even stay, we found a new hotel to sleep in after checking into this one. Tried getting a refund through booking.com and they NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. Beyond disappointing. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM!!!!!!!!!
- Zaid (2/5): - It was a horrible experience, i would not recommend staying there at all, stayed for three nights with two kids and house keeping only showed up once to take the trash and bring a towel set, no cleaning no new sheets nothing, we even ran out of toilet paper and had to grab some from the front desk because they are short staffed. With two kids it was a nightmare stay, the room was hard to maintain clean without housekeeping. Btw we had to other rooms in the same hotel for our friends, the same problem but they did not have kids with them so it was bearable for them. I would never stay there again at all, my worst ever stay at a hotel.
- Joshua (10/5): - Quiet location has everything you need in a hotel for a good price.
- Paula (8/5): - Good. Will be back
- Jerome (8/5): Hotel Salvaged by Hilton Caring Professional Staff - The stay was related to a dear friend receiving treatment at a nearby facility. So there was a level of stress. Our room, the first room has a bed that should have been retired. We lodged a complaint and everyone at the front desk was receptive to helping. It was Stephanie who stepped up and salvaged our stay by booking us in a room representative of Hilton and the clerk after her also who confirmed we would be compensated for a stay to make up for the one night. The entire staff at this hotel is amazing from the lady in Blume preparing food to the Bartender on second shift and the young man on the weekends. I would highly recommend this hotel bc of the staff.
- Heather (10/5): - Easy check in. Clean rooms. Nice staff.
- RevRev65 (4/5): Needs work - I can remember when HGI was the top shelf Hilton brand for business. This location needs some maintenance. Furniture was worn and my room needed some repair. As a diamond member I get used to be greeted as one. Usually I have a welcome on my tv in the room. It’s the little things. My tv didn’t work. I called the desk and was told to bring the remote and swap it out. Which whatever. I did and the tv worked. But the room. The floor was pealing up which I tripped on a couple times. Base molding missing, cover torn on ironing board. Nothing horrible but very under par for the brand.
- Melina (10/5): - Excellent choice
- Jose (10/5): - Excellent stay for any events in downtown. Definitely my go to for my future sporting events in Detroit.
- Adrianna (10/5): - The lady at check in was very nice
- Brittany (10/5): - .
- Tyler (10/5): - good
- Renita (10/5): - Very nice, clean and quiet
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): - It was very cleaned in the room, common areas, pool and the exercise room. The breakfast was delicious. The staff all were very friendly amd professional.
- Tiffany (7/5): Decent stay will bring my own pillows if I stay here again. - Location and cleanliness Bed and pillows were uncomfortable
- Nick (8/5): - It is a fairly quite hotel in a great location for shopping and dining. Staff were very polite and responsive to our requests. Breakfast was charged extra but it was worth it.
We noticed lots of dust on the wooden floor and the office chair, otherwise a place we would visit again.
- Brian (10/5): - Pleasant stay
- Nancy (4/5): - Upon check-in, the computers were down and it took 30 minutes to get assigned a room. Once that was done, the first room was dirty and I asked for another room.
- Kim (2/5): Don’t trust hotels.com. - Hotels.com didn’t work. I paid and we were not listed at hotel. We would like our money back but when we tried to call to speak to someone at hotel.com, we only got AI. We will not use hotels.com again.
- kaulal2024 (2/5): ROACH - This was the worst hotel ever! I got up to use the bathroom and a ROACH was crawling ON THE WALL. I’m so mad I wasn’t able to get any pics or videos because it got away so quickly. I was moved to a different room and when I went to check it out the carpet had a bunch of crumps on it and I didn’t feel comfortable staying at that point! I NEVER STAY AT HILTON AND NOW I WILL MAKE SURE I NEVER WILL!! They refused a refund. I will be making calls later and hopefully things change!!!
- Leo (10/5): - Hot tub not working again
- Lisa (10/5): - Great stay! They need to change the shades although, we weren’t able to let sunlight in. The cords were broken.
- Karen (10/5): - The staff were very nice. I arrived way before check in, but the lovely lady at the front desk worked very hard to get me a room as quickly as possible. She was very kind. The breakfast the next day was very good as well. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area.
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jus (2/5): - The whole 4days being out there the stafff never came to clean my room not one time
- Niran (8/5): - Home services every other days not enough for long stay customers
- Paul (10/5): - Great location. Easy to get around
- nadeem (6/5): - The property was clean, staff was not very friendly. Convenient location to shopping..
- Jd (8/5): Excellent overall. - NA Shade in my room did not work
- Kenneth (2/5): - The property didn't have a room with blinds that opened and closed, and the shower handle didn't work. Because of these inconveniences, we wouldn't honor a refund.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet, great location and staff was helpful. The room was spacious and well equipped for our needs. Extremely quiet as well. Nothing
- Dimitare (10/5): - Excellent
- Al Hareth (10/5): - highly recommended
- Robert L (8/5): - nice outdoor sitting area
- Verified traveler (4/5): So so - Ok stay. Hotel is need of repairs. Front door sensor not working and room shades were broken and would not go up which made for a very dark room. Staff did comp breakfast.
Strange room and bathroom layout with bed positioned with no side table. Sliding door to bathroom would not stay closed. I will not be returning.
- Nicole (8/5): - The service
For such a nice area was beyond sub-par. I’ve been a high end waitress for 20 years. It was Mc Donald’s service at Hilton Prices. The mistakes made started at hello and piled up at any corner of my stay, it was truly like babysitting with teaching moments.. lots and lots AND lots of neglect going on here, “staff, we are not in your living room asking for a coffee, you are ALL at work here”. The staff across the board was nice but maybe Paris H. wants a hostile backpacking Euro casj vibe of no importance, idk
- Jaydi (7/5): Nice and clean place to stay. Would have been nice to have a complimentary breakfast or free water though. - We enjoyed the location and cleanliness. Staff was friendly. Nothing was complimentary. Even water was $1 a bottle. Jacuzzi was down the entire weekend. Pool was cold. No towels in the pool area.
- Nathaniel (10/5): - Property was clean and well maintained… Staff was friendly and very welcoming.
- Javier (8/5): - Na
- Marcia (10/5): - stay here often, always great
- Leo (10/5): - Restaurant closed because it was Sunday but it was supper time
- Ron (8/5): - The property is really nice and clean, the staff is friendly and efficient. The only downfall was it looked like the room hadn’t been vacuumed as there were crumbs or something on the hardwood floor and carpet and the door on the cabinet where the fridge was was broken. The top hinge was not screwed in so it was a little off. Overall though a good place to stay
- TRACEY (10/5): Great choice - Travel for business. Good food options, nice area, clean hotel with nice staff.
- Randa (7/5): Good -
- Derrick (10/5): - The hotel is located in a perfect area with many restaurants, 10 minutes of Walmart and a mall is close by. The rooms are nice I just wish I had a walk-in shower. The room amenities are great. The rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, and cable tv and the beds are so comfortable. I highly recommended
- Andrea (8/5): - Great room & property
- Negi (7/5): Good -
- Nicholas (8/5): - Easy access off the expressway
- Wolfgang (10/5): Our new go to hotel in the area. - Great hotel. It will be our girl when in the area. Really appreciate the EV charger. Pool and hot tub were very nice. Bed was comfortable.
- Dan21021 (6/5): Employees nice, rooms beat up - The workers were nice and I have no issue with them at all. My issue was with the room itself. The set up was weird. The bed was in middle of the room, not against any wall with a desk behind blocking your ability to walk around it. The walls were all banged up and marked up with several notches taken out. One of the most annoying things in the room was the curtains. They were broken on one side and didn’t drop all the way causing the light coming in from outside to shine in and wake you up at 7. Rooms were clean and it was close to the melting pot which is why we came. The hotel will do, but I’ve stayed in better.
- Shital (10/5): - I loved the hot tub
- Jessica (9/5): overall great stay. - I love this property it’s my go to stay when I need a little mini vacation. There’s never anything bad to say.
- Heather (4/5): - The cable TV would not work at all. I called the front desk. The first time they told me to turn the TV on and off and that would fix it. I tried that it didn’t work. I called back. No one answered the front desk. I tried calling back five minutes later again no one answered, I ended up having to call on my cell phone to get someone to pick up. I let them know the TV wasn’t working and I’d like a blanket. They assured me they would send maintenance to fix the tv and someone along with the blanket. No one ever showed up for either. When we went to check out, the front desk saw my requests and asked if everything had been addressed. I told them it had not. No credit or anything was offered. It is too bad because the hotel itself is lovely.
- Daniel (10/5): - Good
- Stacie R (10/5): - All
- PATRICIA (6/5): - I wasn’t very pleased with Expedia and my experience. However, the front desk staff at the GHI were all wonderful. The room needs so deep cleaning. The 1st room we were assigned had curtains falling down and the Roman shade was broken. The 2nd room still had curtains falling down but the Roman shade worked.
The bathroom needs so major attention with either a power washer or a steam cleaner to get the tracks on the shower door that were dirty. There were some hairs in the shower that were not ours but I wiped them out and Lysol-ed the shower.
- Nadeen (4/5): - We stayed for two night at this property. The rooms were not in the best condition, they need updating. Our shower ceiling was leaking when you turn on the shower. The lobby was done but not regularly cleaned and you can tell. Overall m, it was an okay stay but definitely nothing spectacular.
- David (6/5): - Would not accept my apple mastercard. told me they dont take that. very weird.
- janineb891 (4/5): never again - Having finally joined Hilton Honors check in was easy. Our room facing the freeway on the 4th floor was quiet - to start with.
The fancy roman type blind was hanging at a weird angle, it was broken and couldn't be used, neither could the sheer blind behind it. There was damage to the flooring, dried nail polish on the nightstand, toilet paper holder hanging off the wall, some sort of muck in the shower door rail and worst of all dust, small curly hairs and ? fluids on the inside of the barn type bathroom door.
We checked in and went right out as we had a busy weekend planned so didn't notice some of these delights until later.
Overnight I didn't sleep, combination of highway lights glowing beneath the broken blind and the cacophony of noise coming from adjacent rooms.
We were disappointed as we have stayed in this hotel many times before and it now seems to be suffering from neglect, not the stay we would expect from Hilton.
- Jurgen (7/5): Good - The cabinet under the TV was full of dust !
- William (10/5): - n/a
- Adam (2/5): - The hotel places everyone together in the same place whether they are on a business trip or looking to party. Beware and stay away, if you’re looking for a quiet place then ur better off sleeping in your car or on the street. Poor management and lack of care for the comfort of its customers. I felt like I was in a zoo.
