- Hadas (8/5): Great place to stay in kyoto - The hotel is excellent. It is located in the middle of an entertainment and shopping area and is very convenient to go out from, but taxis cannot reach it directly. It has everything needed for a vacation, and the staff is kind and helpful with anything. The hotel also has self-service laundry facilities. The hotel is very clean. One thing that bothered me a little is that the rooms are cleaned each day in numerical order, and since our room was last, we could hardly rest in the afternoon because they always came to clean our room only around 3:00–4:00 p.m. Our friends stayed on the floor below, but it is not possible to move between floors and meet. The only way is to go down to the lobby and ask the receptionist to specially unlock the elevator for the desired floor.

The toilet is in a separate small room, the shower and bathtub are in another, and the sink is outside, which is super convenient when traveling as a couple or with family since all three sections can be used independently. The location is fantastic, and it even has direct access to a 7-Eleven located right below the hotel, which is very convenient.

The room barely has any walking and luggage space, especially with the sofa bed set up for the 3rd guest. The separated toilet room smelled extremely moldy that I had to hold my breath everytime I was in there. My family purchased the breakfast once and it was pretty descent for the price.

It’s about a 10–15 minute walk from nearby subway stations, but I honestly didn’t mind at all—because the walk takes you through the Teramachi shopping district. I was enjoying seeing the area that I completely walked past the hotel at first, distracted by restaurants, karaoke spots, kimono rentals, a cat café, and even a samurai museum! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the amenities were excellent. There’s a beauty bar available to all guests with facial cleansers, lotions, razors, toothbrushes—everything you might need. It felt like a thoughtful and luxurious touch. The rooms were clean, cozy, and modern. You use your room key card to activate the electricity and control the lights and AC. The beds were super cushy, and the room even came with bath salts, face masks, and a full pajama set, which reminded me of a ryokan experience! The bathroom layout was impressive: the toilet had its own room, while the bathing area was designed like a mini onsen. There’s a sit-down washing station and a deep-soak tub—I could submerge up to my shoulders, and it was heavenly! Hotel Gracery also practices strong sustainability (SDGs). Full room cleaning is every 3 days, and if you opt in to the eco program, they still provide fresh towels and bottled water as a thank-you. Overall, I absolutely recommend Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo!

- Cheryl (10/5): The Best Stay Ever!!! - The best stay ever!! Location was prime!! Steps away from shopping, amazing food, the train and Nishiki market!!! The front desk was very welcoming and efficient. Our rooms were freshly cleaned and restocked daily!!

- Valeri (6/5): - This hotel is without any personality and is very basic. The main advantage of it is its location in a very busy market and shopping area. It is close to several subway stations and bus stops. They offer a fairly good breakfast.

- steven (10/5): - This property was amazing, from the staff assistance at check in until we departed. In previous review's some people spoke of the distance between the 2 towers like there was a huge highway between them lol, this is not the case. The markets are also at your doorstep. Will definitely stay here again.
- Angela (10/5): - The hotel is located very close to excellent shopping/drinking/dining options. It was modern and spacious. I would recommend and stay here again. One thing of which to be aware, the hotel is split into a North and a South building, which can be a little confusing when you first arrive.

- Alison (10/5): - We had a great stay at the Gracery. The staff were wonderful and the room size was fine for the price we paid and the location (right in the thick of the Teramachi shopping arcade). Pyjamas (nightshirts) were provided, as were toiletries and you could pick up travel sized products freely from reception. We made use of the washing machines and dryers and found them to be very good. We arranged luggage transfer to our next hotel via the reception staff and it all went very smoothly. Would definitely stay again if I returned to Kyoto.

- Odel (10/5): - The area is in a cool marketplace. There are a lot of cool restaurants and coffee shops. Ideal location. Hotel offers great toiletries for those staying.

- Rana (10/5): - Great location just slight walking if catching a taxi since vehicles can’t drive to the hotel. Great breakfast!

- Zhao Wei (10/5): - Hotel was located within the shopping street and needed walking from nearby stations. Also within walking distance to the pontocho alley. for sightseeing, you would need to walk to the crowded bus stop. Room was considered spacious by normal Japanese standards but it was also more expensive during the Sakura season. There is a special bathtub with sit down area for shower. Overall, convenient but on the pricey side for 4 star hotel. There is also an additional accommodation tax.

- Jason (10/5): Well situated. - Fabulous hotel. One of the smaller rooms we've had. But nicely situated just within a shopping mall. Great amenities with a large lounge area and dining space just off the laundry room. Only a short walk to the Gion district and even closer to train links.

- Vanessa (10/5): - Hotel Gracery was so conveniently located within the Teramachi shopping malls. Shopped for awhile, strolled through the shops, many places to eat. Right next door to Starbucks, 711 store and much more. Room and bathrooms extremely clean and tidy. I will stay here again. Staff were friendly and obliging.
- victoria (8/5): - It is in a great location, with everything you could need within easy reach around. The room on the 2nd floor with laundry, seating, microwave and drinks is brilliant. The only down side is the rooms are a little small for 2 people.

- Cheong (10/5): - Wow, this hotel is super. 1. Below is all the shopping walking street 2. Nikishi market jus 4 min away 3. Few big shopping mall jus 6 to 7 min walk away but all closed at 8.30 pm. 4. The breakfast buffet not much variety but is very good quality, i loved the negotoro don. 5. The hotel nearby buses goes to a lot of places too. 6. They hv amenities which you can leave your shapoo and body wash at hoe and make space for more souvenirs.

- Jonathan (8/5): - Loved the hotel and the surrounding area. Only reason i’m not giving 5 stars is that the Wifi is unusable. Good thing I had an eSIM with plenty of data left. Other than that, no complaints. Big room size too compared to my other hotel stays in Japan.
