- Shelley (10/5): - Beautiful room with a view. Comfy bed and every you need for a comfortable stay. Fully stocked kitchenette! Check in was easy and the staff member at check in was lovely.
Thank you Bathgate for an amazing experience!
- Wendy (10/5): Our visite - We booked the two bedroom suite for ourselves et one of our daughter. One of our other daughter was getting married. Our greetings when we arrive were warm, friendly et knowledgeable of the area. Our room was clean et extremely well suited to six persons even though there were only three of us. A wonderful experience et absolutely well worth the visite!
- Paul (8/5): - Great view.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Beautiful view overlooking the marina! The room was clean and comfortable.
- Beverly (10/5): - Gorgeous view from balcony, quiet, comfortable bed and pillows. New looking windows enhanced view from inside. No AC though so beware of summer heat- that said, it is the Pacific Northwest so it does cool down at night! Easy walk to Skookumchuck bakery, and Rapids Trail
- Bob (10/5): - Absolutely delightful! Lovely room with balcony overlooking the creek and small marina. No food option but store adjacent and large microwave and fridge/freezer in room. Famous easy hike to Skookumchuck Narrows close by.
- Jasmine (10/5): - Beautiful view, comfortable and clean accommodations
- Klaudia (10/5): - Enjoyed the amazing marina view from the balcony and peaceful environment around. The staff is very friendly and helpfull.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Beautiful location, great community.
- Cyrus (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Staff is super friendly and the room was nice. Will be back
- Paul (10/5): - This place was amazing. One of the best places to stay on the Sunshine Coast. Clean, quiet, affordable and the most beautiful view. Highly reccomend going here.
- Stewart (10/5): - Cool old tiny hotel connected to a food Mart and liquor store. Dedicated parking for guests. Awesome view of the harbour. Clean and the manager was very friendly and helpful.
- Carlos Alejandro (10/5): - Wonderful location with view to the marina. Very well equipped to prepare your own meals. Very good internet access. Very clean
- Whitney (8/5): - The person checking us in was helpful and accommodating, answering questions about the area. No restaurant at the hotel.
- Tamara (6/5): - Each room has two outside doors. Every last door in this place slams shut when the occupant leaves the room or goes out onto their balcony. We spent the evening listening to and feeling sla
- Michael (10/5): - Cute little lodge where the room has been mostly remodeled. The bathroom was clean, large and remodeled. There's a kitchenette that has sink, dishes, silverware, 2 burners to cook, a frig + microwave. We were on the 2nd floor so we had a nice balcony overlooking the water that had a table abd chairs. There's no AC but theres a large standing fan which worked fine when we were there in July. Parking was right next to the building which made it easy. There's a little general store where you can pick up food to cook, drinks, etc. Even ice cream! Check-in and check-out were super easy.
- Valerie (6/5): - This property provided us with a fine place to stay overlooking the water and with all that we needed.
- Mark (10/5): - It was just what we had hoped. A unique, secluded spot on an inlet. Liked the balcony with water view. As soon as we walked in we were met with a pleasant, clean, well supplied room to enjoy our stay. Enjoyed walking the marina and viewing the old boats of bygone eras.
- joel (8/5): - amazing environmrnt! Quiet and soooo beautiful!
- Monty (8/5): - This a very good, solid property to stay at for the money. *It was cooler when we stayed (19 C) so the room might be quite warm if the weather was hotter as there is no room air conditioner, rather just a tower fan which was good enough for us with the the outside temp being below 22 C. Good value at this property !
- Paul (8/5): - Nice small hotel. We had an amazing view from our balcony of the harbour which made it memorable. Typical small hotel. It wasn’t luxurious by any means but it was clean and did the trick. Very handy to hiking in to see Skookumchuck Narrows. We had a nice dinner overlooking the water at The Back Eddy …. Just a short 5 minute drive away. Overall a good experience.
- Jesse (10/5): - It was a great stay. The king bed was a treat, the room renovated and clean. We were pleasantly surprised.
- Sigrid (8/5): - The view, seals on the rocks, close to Princess Louise Inlet tour not to many tourist around in Egmont
- Kaye (10/5): - Staff were helpful in getting information about eating establishments in the area.
- Yung Ming (10/5): - It’s a beautiful and quiet little property with warm welcome staffs. Will come again.
- vladimir (10/5): - Quiet, friendly staff, the rooms a clean spacious my stay was off peak so difficult to talk about the dining however the views are great
- Philip (10/5): - Our room had a lovely view over the marina, looking towards the mountains on the other side of the inlet. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchenette well-equipped.
- Mohneesh (10/5): - Amazing stay! Mark is an amazing host; very accommodating and helpful!
- Monica (8/5): - After a long day of driving, it was nice to finally get into a comfortable bed. I had a great sleep!
- Linda (10/5): - We had a nice, quiet room with a wonderful covered balcony. The bed was comfy and there was a fridge and microwave. We phoned ahead and were given a code to check in late - which made it really easy as we were delayed.
- Florence (4/5): - No toilet paper at all and no staff available to rectify!,!
- Zhong Sheng (6/5): - Dinner choice is limited.
- Jonny (10/5): - Great place. Great overall stay, that being said, i stayed 5 nights with my yiung family and on night 2. A family posted up on a small area to camp for the night, all good, i counted 21 people right outside my deck cooking and doing everything associated with camp. It was a bit overwhelming.. also the rest of there family rented the 3 suites above us, with anout another 30 ppl. Im. Not sure why this was allowed. The place was amazing but with 50 ppl swarming around it was very overwhelming.
- Chi Keung (10/5): - Very nice sea view
- Sabrina (10/5): - Small building but good sized rooms. Comfortable bed and good facilities with a little kitchen. The view of the harbor is fantastic.
- LIOR (10/5): - The staff made sure we have all the information in advance.
- scott (10/5): - good
- richard (8/5): - This location is very close to the marina and has a beautiful view.
- Sharon (10/5): - A Wonderful host! Thanks Becca.
- Valerie (10/5): - This property overlooks the Egmont Wharf. The view is excellent but if they could cut the Cherry trees in front, it would be even better. We were in the 2 bedroom suite. It was well equipped and spacious. Suited our larger group. The staff were excellent. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.
- Sterling (10/5): - We loved our stay here! It’s quiet and peaceful, we loved sitting in our deck and enjoying the view.
- Alvin (8/5): - The place is in a great setting on the west coast of BC. Great place for hikers, boaters and other outdoors activities. There are no tourist trap shops selling junk souvenirs.
- Tamara (10/5): - Beautiful, quiet spot. Would love to come back. Super easy after hours check in process!
- Helen (2/5): Got forgotten - I was told this was a great place but when I got there at 7pm it looks like the manager totally forgot that I was coming in. I called and rang several times. E-mailed. Nothing. Waited for over an hr. And unfortunately this area is remote so not an easy area to find a hotel after 8:30. Disappointed.
- kalyani (8/5): - We had a great overnight stay! Beautiful scenery and the place had everything needed for our stay.
- Dina (10/5): - What a great place, so nice and relaxing !
- Bilu (10/5): - Nice view and very convenient to shops and restaurants around
- Matija (10/5): - Wonderful, clean, practical check-in, and the view on the marina and the mouintains is astonishing! :)
- Jim (10/5): - This resort is perfectly located if you are coming to see Skookumchuck Rapids. It is clean, spacious and with a wonderful view of Egmont Harbour. It is exactly what we wanted for this visit.
- Puthusseri (10/5): - Being off season it was quiet and empty. Nice accommodation with a balcony facing the water.
- Kate (8/5): - A cute hotel, very quiet and a fabulous escape from problems and pollution. The room was nice and the view was gorgeous! The only issue is that there were long black hairs almost on every towel and the floor needed a sweep - I'm sure that it would have been taken care of if we mentioned something, but we didn't want to be a bother in such a peaceful location. We would definitely return!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Place to Stay - Check-in couldn’t have been easier and the room was great.
- Rachel (10/5): - Very clean room. Very peaceful and quite place, perfect for relaxation. Staff is very helpful too. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back there hopefully next year.
- jacqueline (10/5): - Comfy bed, clean room and had all we needed for a one night stay!
- Ruth (10/5): - Will definitely come back!
- Melissa (4/5): - Old containers and bananas left on the kitchen countertop when we arrived. The coffee maker has a used coffee pod still in it. An open soap bar was also left in the bathroom as well as a half open shampoo bottle. Garbage in bathroom had not been emptied either.
- Heather (10/5): - Spacious room with every amenity you could need from a room fan to a full kitchen including a stove, microwave and toaster! Lovely balcony overlooking the harbour which is dotted with seal heads poking up throughout they day. Quiet and peaceful except the odd boat coming and going - and the loud baby crow outside our window (but he was cute so we forgave him!)
Only a 20-30 minute drive from Madeira/Garden bay and about an hour from Sechelt/porpoise bay area so you can really have a nice off-the-main road space, while still being close to the coasts biggest attractions.
Lots of opportunity for local boat tours, kayaking, paddle boarding and lakes to swim and fish near the Egmont area as well.
We would absolutely stay again!
- Leslie (10/5): - Waterfront view beautiful.
- Robert (8/5): Room with a View - Beautiful location with views of water and mountains. Room was very clean, but a little dated. Deck was rather small and too close to neighbouring units. No AC so fan was very helpful.
- Sydney (10/5): - Loved it
- Jianxin (10/5): - quiet
- Nicola (6/5): not a kitchenette - advertised as a kitchenette. not true. there's a microwave in the room and that's it. no bowls or spoons or dish washing liquid or anything else that would be required in a kitchenette. it is right next to the harbour and has a general store open from 9am.
- Randall (10/5): - The Bathgate Resort overlooks the Marina. The view from our deck was wonderful. Seeing the water and an eagle flying above was special. The room was great. The kitchenette and fridge handled all of our needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. Becca in the little store/check in, gave us great recommendation for local hikes and water activities. We also loved the cinnamon rolls from a local bakery.
- David (10/5): - Very quiet with a beautiful view.
- Heinz (8/5): - The property is waterfront, however there was a huge cherry tree that obstructed the view.
There were issues with the TV. Eventually we just switched it off. The problem was never resolved.
- Diane (10/5): - Not having many choices of accommodation in Egmont, this was the best we could find. Small room, small shower and a small piece of soap!!! There was a group of flies having a party right outside our door, which we had to walk through every time we entered?? Of course the view was beautiful!!
- Stephen (8/5): - Room was on 2nd floor ..about 10 stairs...no elevator. Would be a problem for those with walking disabilities. ....
Generally ok...clean, comfortable room.
- Ernest (10/5): - Great place
- Cun Biao (10/5): - The view is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and nice.
- MariaJosé (10/5): - Amazing view and friendly staff
- Darion (10/5): - Beautiful view - very clean room. Easy access and friendly check in staff.
- Delmar (10/5): - Office staff extremely helpful. Room was in excellent condition.
- Hannah (10/5): - Beautiful view
- mike (8/5): - Great view from the room, nice quiet setting. More counter space in the bathroom would have been useful. Shower stall the size of a small phone booth, too small for showering with partner, trying to conserve water lol
Keurig coffee not a favorite of ours, we bought a french press at your store for preferred morning coffee experience
- Suzanne (10/5): - Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Great room with a view of the marina and water. Close parking. Long but absolutely gorgeous hike through the forest to the narrows.
- Pat (2/5): - We didn't arrive until almost 7 pm due to ferry and upon arrival everything locked up, no one answered the phone. A local showed us were the manager lived and upon knocking on the door she locked it and refused to answer?
Did I mention it's dark and raining and we are about 10kl off the beaten path.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice view. Washroom and living area are cleaned but kitchen needed to be done with more cleaning.
- James (8/5): - The view. Did not like waiting to get checked in. Also felt mattress was lumpy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The view. Did not like waiting to get checked in. Also felt mattress was lumpy.
- joseph (10/5): - Liked the spacious room and view.
- Doreen (10/5): Unforgettable family trip. - We had a wonderful stay. The staffs were friendly and it was extremely convenient with the general store next door. Location was excellent and only a walking distance to the Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park and Trail.
- Nicole (10/5): - Beautiful suite for us to relax after biking from Powell River. Great view of the marina. Special spot.
- Fauzia (10/5): - Spacious and comfortable rooms with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Lots of chairs on the balcony with a beautiful view. Store right next store with extremely friendly staff. Easy parking and unloading right outside the room. Bathroom was huge and felt like a spa. Very clean and quiet.
- Kris (8/5): - Overpriced, but there are limited options in Egmont so i can see why they charge what they do. The room had everything we needed, except there was no paper towel or napkins to clean up spills and the outside table.
- David (10/5): - Egmont is a small, beautiful town surrounded by forest and the ocean. The hotel offers simple and clean accomodation. Nothing fancy, just a nice place to stay while enjoying the many natural areas around it.
- Claire (10/5): - Lovely quiet scenic convenient for everything we wanted to do. A rare find in today’s hectic crazy world. A refuge
- maura (10/5): - Awesome place to relax and unwind.
Great views and location in the heart of nature.
The office staff was super helpful and attentive.
Thank you for truly making us feel at home.
- JONATHAN (4/5): - This place is way over-priced, they also have a minimum of 2 night stay (its impossible to book one night online, who the hell knows why?). Do yourself a favor and just stay in Pender Harbour, at the Pender Harbour Hotel!
- Roma (10/5): - Quaint little motel, 202 had stunning views, king-sized comfortable bed and a great little kitchette!
Thanks for allowing our early check-in- that was very kind!
- Jim (10/5): - Room decor and comfort great. Kitchenette well supplied. Stunning views. Would recommend.
- Ross (10/5): Marina view - A pleasant room overlooking the marina in a small very resort. Well away from the crowds but well located near the Skoocumchuck Narrows. Many thanks to Val for helping us feel at home.
- Gregory (10/5): 3 days in Egmont - Our room was large, clean and very comfortable with a balcony and direct view of the inlet.
- Robert (8/5): - Great view
- timothy (10/5): - The informality of a wilderness community, combined with the right touches of professionalism in the room and service, made it a genuine experience and memorable stay. Wish we could stay for weeks!
- Elizabeth (8/5): - The view from our room was stunning, and the TV was large, great for watching a movie
- John (10/5): - I sat on the 2nd floor balcony outside my room early in the morning and listened to total silence it was great looking over the marina. The amenities were limited but there was a store on site. Nearby is a good pub, a great b place for cinnamon buns and access to the Skookumchuk Narrows for kayak rides
- Taejeung (10/5): - Good
- Leslie (10/5): - We lived the location and view right in the harbour - so beautiful
