Instructions: This property offers transfers from the cruise terminal, airport, and train station (surcharges may apply). To arrange pick-up, guests must contact the property 72 hours prior to arrival, using the contact information on the booking confirmation. This property doesn't offer after-hours check-in. To make arrangements for check-in please contact the property at least 72 hours before arrival using the information on the booking confirmation. Prior to arrival, guests must complete online registration with the property via a secure link. Guests will be asked to provide the property with a copy of their passport before arrival. Guests must contact the property in advance for check-in instructions. Front desk staff will greet guests on arrival at the property. For any questions, please contact the property using the information on the booking confirmation. Passengers must register with the cruise at least 24 hours in advance. Registration is valid with full name, gender, date of birth, nationality, passport number, mobile number, and Vietnam visa expiration date. A valid passport must be presented in order to board the cruise. Guests who are refused boarding by police or port authorities will not be refunded. Embarkation begins at 12:30 PM, Counter 26, at Tuan Chau Port. Check-out is 9 AM, however the boat returns to port between noon and 12:30 PM. Transfer services (surcharge) between hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and Halong are available and must be requested in advance. Guests staying in other areas should go to the property's office at 7:45 AM for transfers to the port. The office is located at 9 Hang Huong St. Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi. Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change upon weather and operational conditions. Special requests, including dietary restrictions, must be submitted to the property at least 2 days in advance.

• Donna (10/5): Enjoyable and memorable experience - The Royal Palace cruise is a classic Vietnamese junk boat. We loved the quintessential decor. We booked a room with a balcony but was upgraded to the Royal Suite which was at the front of the boat with a large deck. The room has windows all around to enjoy the stunning views of Halong Bay. The food is amazing, delicious and plentiful. It just kept coming. The crew are very friendly and informative. They will help you with all your needs. • susan (8/5): - The staff were wonderful, food was very good and plentiful. The drinks were a good price also..One night was a enough to see everything. Our room with balcony was lovely, the let down was the overhead shower head didn't work, had to use the hand held one in which the bracket on the wall was also broken. The tap for the vanity was broken and hanging too.. I also found some dirty underwear left behind. Theres nothing wrong with an old boat but the maintenance has to be kept up. So I've got mixed feelings about this cruise some excellent and some not which is a shame.

• Lyda Patricia (1/5): - The cruise ship did not have hot water for showering in the middle of winter, with ambient temperatures around 19°C, which is unacceptable. A cold shower on a cruise in the middle of winter is inadmissible! Our cruise was for two nights, but the boat combines people who booked only one night on the same tour. Therefore, on the second day, we were transferred to a smaller boat so that the cruise ship could take the one-night guests back to port. Consequently, the cruise ship little sails in bay and remains stationary the entire time, just to be able to take the people who booked only one night back to port. Thus, those who booked two nights are disadvantaged! Although advertised, the room did not have a mini-fridge or an electric kettle. On the last day, after finishing the cave tour at 8:40 am, we were forced to vacate the room at 9 am (only 20 minutes to pack our baggage), even though checkout time was until 10 am. Furthermore, they charged us 5% more than the amount indicated in the reservation because we paid with a credit card, but this was not stipulated in the contract.

• Kate (5/5): Ok. You get what you pay for - Nice staff . Boat needs to be seriously updated. Competing boats going to the effort with little touches like fairy lights and nicer furnishings. A little extra care with cleanliness in bathroom and dining area. Activities seemed a little rushed and NYE countdown should have been on top deck to see fireworks.

The location is excellent, the food was outstanding, and the staff exceeded our expectations. Everyone was extremely professional, kind, and attentive at all times. A special mention to the chef, who did an exceptional job and contributed significantly to making our stay memorable. Thanks to the team, my husband’s birthday celebration was a wonderful and pleasant experience. We felt genuinely well taken care of throughout our visit. One minor point to note is that there was an unpleasant smell coming from the stairs on the first floor. It was only noticeable when we were leaving the cruise ship; however, it did slightly affected the overall departure experience.

• MCK (8/5): Lovely stay - We booked this boat, but ended up on Sapphire. Our room was better than what we booked, and amazing. Activities were all good and entertaining enough. Floating in Halong bay, stunning. Because of boat change it felt value for money Food quality didn't reflect 5*, altitude was good, we expected a higher quality. Especially brunch on departure day - no linnen napkins, no exciting food, just box standard tourist food.

• Tyler (9/5): Unreal views with cool activities - Really enjoyed the trip, we paid to include the 2 way transfer from Hanoi. The staff onboard were very attentive and pleasant. The activities included were all enjoyable and didn’t feel rushed. Ha Long bay was one of the highlights of the trip and I believe it well worth paying for the 2 days 1 night on board. Ocean view room was lovely and we could not fault the food on board which was plentiful. Would definitely recommend this to other travellers.

• Nicolas (7/5): We enjoyed it. - Staff were amazing, really friendly, kind and smily. I was with my mom, and they take care of you and anything you could need. Also food is very very generous, and they adapt to your dietary restrictions (No lactose, no gluten). I appreciate the feeling that they want you to enjoy and feel well served. They make sure that the program goes as it is scheduled and are very communicative and clear with the activities, stops, and dynamics. I read reviews saying that it needs remodeling, in my opinion it is in a ok/fair state, nothing falls apart and is clean. We took the transport to the port and back to the city option, and it was well organized, pick up and drop off at our hotel in the old quarter (be on time!) Drinks are not included and are a bit pricey (3USD for a coffee), also paying them in cash is advised. The only drink that was included was one personal water bottle for the 2 days. Maybe they could have a water dispenser or give a couple more of bottles if needed. Additionally, even though is not their responsibility, the Titop island stop in the afternoon was too crowded, all the cruises stopping at the same time, I wouldn’t have minded skipping it.

The view from the boat and the nature is mesmerising. The activities were not so special: 1- kayaking was only 30 minutes in a small area. 2- squid fishing, is a nice chill activity, but it was impossible to stay more than 5 minutes because the exhaustion pipe of the boat was exactly there. 3- karaoke didn't happen. I guess because of a technical issue. - the transportation bus to go from Hanoi to Ha Long bay was very bad -There is ageneral diesel smell in the boat at night, which makes it difficult to relax on the deck. - When they offered the waterproof phonecase, to take your phone with you to do kayaking, the said you can borrow it, but I turned to be rental, and so we had to pay for it. Which I found it a cheap way to get money - prices for drinks are a bit too much.

Además nos daba todo el rato información y nos contaba datos curiosos. La comida muy abundante y muy rica. Solo nos dieron una botella de agua pequeña por persona y el agua en las comidas no es gratis. En el precio de las bebidas no esta incluido el VAT ni el servicio.

However, no heater in the rooms even during the night made us sleep at 16 degrees Celsius and the end of November!!! • stephanie (7/5): - Petit bateau à taille humaine Équipage très accueillant et bienveillant, très sympathique Cabine suite royale super Arrêt plage : inutile, Tous les bateaux de la baie s’arrêtent sur la même plage, du coup c’est vraiment la foire, énormément de monde sur une toute petite plage… Envisagez de changer la formule en proposant une baignade directement du bateau dans une petite crique isolée, cela aurait beaucoup plus de charme et ferait la différence avec les autres !

All the meals served were the Vietnamese delicacy. Overall it was a pleasant stay. 2 Water bottles per person can be provided as complimentary while having lunch beacuse we had to pay for them.

• Slamford (9/5): Not a Cruise person normally, but how can you not enjoy this amazing location. - This review is for Saffire Cruises as we were advised the day before that we had to go on another boat. The staff, the food, the location, all were wonderful and an amazing experience overall. Heaps of activities on the 3 day/2 night cruise, especially on the 2nd day where you are taken to the day boat to visit a village on Cat Ba then have lunch on the day boat before an afternoon of swimming and kayaking. Breathtaking scenery.

The smell of the diesel used by the boat can be very strong. Especially during the night. Having more fan or better ventilation to dissipate the smell would be appreciated.

• Emilie (6/5): - Le personnel était très accueillant, souriant et serviable. Notre guide Violette a su nous expliquer de manière très claire toute l'organisation et les sites touristiques. Elle a su nous partager sa bonne humeur et son humour. Axel le capitaine est également très conviviable et toujours souriant. C'est agréable d'être entouré de cette équipe. De plus les vues sont magnifiques ! Aucune ambiance le soir, pas très fidèle à la description. Un karaoké est mis à disposition mais personne nous en a parlé. On a essayé de s'en servir seules mais en vain.. il y avait qu'un seul micro et il ne fonctionnait pas. Il est difficile de s'occuper le soir d'autant plus qu'on ne capte pas la connexion.

Teníamos un camarote “Deluxe” y según ellos estaba abajo donde las máquinas y no en la 1° planta como pensábamos. Y lo que decía Booking que tenía una sala de estar, escrito, mosquitera, … nada de nada. Ni siquiera en el camarote al que nos cambiamos porque lo solicitamos abonando la diferencia en el barco. El agua de la ducha se iba por todo el baño. Cayó una tormenta y teníamos goteras en la habitación. En fin!!

Les activités gérées par Violette se déroulent toutes dans un cadre magnifique, le séjour est rythmé ce qui permet de profiter de chaque instant. Les repas sont excellents (bravo au chef), c'est un plaisir de discuter avec l'équipe, notamment Alex le manager de la croisière, avec lequel nous avons passé la soirée. Mes amis et moi recommandons vivement cette croisière !

Nous avons pris la chambre avec la terrasse et vue sur la baie d’halong, c’était extraordinaire de se réveiller le matin avec la vue ! Les repas sont sublimes et excellents! L’organisation sur le bateau est superbe et nous a permis de faire beaucoup d’activités ( kayak, visite de fermes de perles, grottes, baignade dans la baie d’halong…)merci à Violette de nous avoir accompagné durant ces 3 jours ! Une petite au top du top et une grande gentillesse ! Je vous recommande ce bateau a taille humaine et une équipe très chaleureuse pour un séjour avec une ambiance familiale ! Merci pour tout
• Augustin (10/5): - L’accueil et le personnel au top ! Violet notre guide à bord du Royal Palace Cruise est superbe toujours de bonne humeur et de bons conseils. La nourriture est très copieuse et très bonne ! La sortie en kayak étais splendide dans un lieu loin des touristes et des bateaux. Que des belles activités ! Le prix du bar qui est assez élevé.
• Esther (10/5): - La experiència, las actividades, la limpieza de la habitación y el personal. Violet es una guia increíble, todo está muy bien organizado con explicaciones claras, y es encantadora. Alex y el resto del staf también fueron increíblemente atentos durante toda la estancia. Además, nos dieron una habitación mejor de la que habíamos reservado. La comida está muy buena y es de calidad. Además es un barco mediano que hace que la experiencia sea más auténtica. Muchas gracias! No se me ocurre nada.

• Felix (9/5): Guter Trip, um die Halong Bucht kennenzulernen - Die großen Fenster im Zimmer ermöglichen einen schönen Blick auf die Halong Bucht. Violet war eine super Tourguide, die uns super über Ti Top Island, Kayak und Höhlentouren begleitet hat. Die Schiff-Crew war sehr zuvorkommend und sehr aufmerksam.
• Rosa Maria (9/5): - Nos ha gustado mucho el servicio y la gestión de Violet, guía animada y alegre. Además, no hubo problemas en pasar al día siguiente la reserva ya que hizo muy mal tiempo y no salieron cruceros en la fecha seleccionada. El personal del crucero es muy agradable. La visita a la cueva lo destacaríamos como actividad.

• valerie (10/5): Super séjour ! - Tout. Rien à redire. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour sur ce bateau. Les activités très intéressantes (kayak, cooking class, visite de grotte, baignade sur l'île titop) se sont enchaînées avec l'implication et la gentillesse de notre guide Violette. L'équipage est très sympathique et prévenant. Les cabines sont très propres. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés ! Rien

• Thoma (10/5): - Had an amazing time on the Royal Palace cruise of Ha Long Bay. The organisation of it all was brilliant from getting picked up until the end of the cruise. We even got a free upgrade of rooms as there was a room with a deck free. We did hiking and kayaking and had very much enjoyed our time.
