- Zoe (6/5): Impossible to sleep - Clean, nice furniture, staff , facilities Extremely noisy, ducted air con units even when not in use, next doors/ upstairs generators can be heard all night. Slept with ear plugs in. Also a smell of sewage from the sinks, which was throughout the Phillipines.

- ticondy (10/5): A truly 5 star hotel experience - The room was very luxurious, clean and spacious. Also very quiet - I didn’t ever hear anyone outside. The hotel is really conveniently located at one end of the high street, which makes it very easy to get to shops and restaurants. I also really enjoyed the different food options in the hotel, I tried the breakfast buffet, lobby bar, lobby bakery and burger place, and all were great options.

I loved staying in this hotel, because everybody is so welcoming, friendly and nice. The rooms are very clean. It's so quiet and very relaxing, especially the spa. I am so pampered with welcome treats and snacks by Ms Klar of Amenity team. My room attendees; especially Dominic and Ivan really took good care of everything I needed during my stay. I would recommend this hotel, a very nice and safe place to stay.

From the moment we arrived, the setting was effortlessly elegant—modern, calm, and refined, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed yet luxurious dining experience. I began with a beautifully prepared coffee and a fresh smoothie, both excellent in quality and a perfect way to start the meal. This was followed by a vibrant fruit selection, featuring mango, watermelon, berries, and melon—each piece incredibly fresh, sweet, and expertly presented. The Egg Royale was a standout—perfectly poached eggs, rich and velvety hollandaise, and a well-balanced flavour profile that reflected true attention to detail. I then moved on to the cheese platter, which was thoughtfully curated and paired well with accompaniments, offering a nice transition between courses. To experience something more traditional, I tried the Filipino-style fried fish with rice and sides, which was authentic, flavourful, and beautifully cooked. The noodle soup that followed was light, comforting, and delicately seasoned—an ideal contrast to the richer dishes. To finish, the pancakes topped with cream, berries, and chocolate drizzle were indulgent yet refined, rounding off the meal perfectly without feeling overly heavy. Every element—from flavour to presentation—was executed to an exceptional standard. Even the finer touches, including juices, condiments, and overall variety, reinforced the premium experience. What truly elevated this visit was the outstanding service. A special mention to Sofia, Albert, and Ranjit, whose professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness made the experience seamless and genuinely memorable. Their hospitality was impeccable. Shangri-La The Fort continues to set the benchmark for world-class dining and service. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or visiting for a meal, it is an experience I highly recommend—and clearly one I look forward to enjoying again.
- janepasamante (6/5): Not enough parking space - I stayed at the hotel for a conference on February 14, 2026. The property is conveniently located in the heart of BGC, making it highly accessible. The room was clean and adequately spacious for two persons, and I particularly appreciated the wide selection offered at the breakfast buffet. I am pleased to note that I have no concerns regarding the room quality, service, or food, as all met my expectations. However, I would like to respectfully raise a concern regarding the parking arrangements for checked-in guests. While I understand that my stay coincided with a peak period due to Valentine’s Day, I had hoped that parking provisions could be made available for hotel guests. Unfortunately, valet parking was also unavailable at the time. I was advised to park in an open area approximately 300–400 meters away from the hotel, which resulted in additional cost and some inconvenience due to the distance. I would also like to share that a friend who arrived after me was able to secure parking after informing the valet that he was a checked-in guest. In my case, I acknowledge that I was unable to mention this at the time, as I was somewhat stressed and did not think to clarify. However, I hope the staff may also consider proactively confirming whether arriving guests are checking in, as this could help avoid similar situations. I hope the hotel may consider reviewing and improving its parking arrangements to better accommodate guests, especially during high-demand periods.

The Bake House bakery and mocha were delicious. The staff was incredible, especially Rommel that left me a puppy that was made from a wash cloth.

Special thanks to cleaning attendant Erish who made a beautiful toy dog for me considering how much I love soft toys. I had my Teddy bear(Mr. Beans Teddy) with me to give company during my stay and just by seeing that ERISH made a beautiful hand made dog using the hand towel which made my day and my entire stay very memorable.. thanks guys.. you are the best ❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

- Jocelyn (8/5): Shangri-la Residences The Fort will again be the place to stay when we return back to Manila - Very helpful & accommodating Residences front desk staff - Pam, Sharie, Marian, Ericson and room attendant Rica. Short-staying guests (ie. 11 days in Residences) did not get same treatment as hotel guests eg. No fruit basket or no welcoming drinks on arrival. No hotel stationeries so these still had to be requested.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive. The check-in process was smooth, and the service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff, especially to Jeff of the housekeeping team. They were always friendly and ready to help, which made the experience even more memorable. From the seamless logistics to the personal connections, they truly exceeded our expectations. Logistics & Family Fun The Concierge team was a lifesaver. They expertly organized: A Heritage Tour: Insightful and perfectly paced. DreamPlay Trip: They arranged a driver to take us to City of Dreams, making the outing stress-free. Airport Transfers: Punctual, professional, and smooth. In-Room Surprise: They set up a tent in our room, which was a massive hit with the kids! Standout Staff Members Several individuals made our stay deeply personal and deserve a huge boost: Housekeeping: Jeff was fantastic. Our room was always pristine, which isn't easy with two little ones! Dining at Samba: Samantha provided impeccable service and made our meal there a highlight. Service is excellent with everyone from housekeeping staff to pool attendees being very warm and attentive. Breakfast spread has all that I need. Juice bar, wide variety or pastries and all the warm food with great qualities. I’ll miss the muesli for sure.

My room attendant Jeff made everyday even better, he was very helpful, kept my room spotless and on the mornings I ran out late leaving a mess he handled it very well. - aoshi0514 (8/5): Great family stay - We stayed at Shangri-La The Fort as a group of 7 and booked three rooms, a King Deluxe connecting to a Twin, plus another King room. The connecting setup was perfect for us. We were welcomed with complimentary chips and wine in all three rooms, which was such a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing, so much variety and everything we tried was delicious. The kids loved the pools. It honestly felt like a little retreat in the middle of the city. We also ate at Canton Road and really enjoyed it. And we stopped by The Bake House for treats; highly recommend! There’s so much within walking distance: shops, bars, and restaurants everywhere. One of our favorite moments was when the kids had in-room dinner and the staff set up a proper table for them, they felt so fancy! Would definitely stay again. Perfect for families.

Best I've had - The small bathroom in the room with just the sink and toilet is so nicely done (see photo. - Bathroom has a bath - The gym is the best I've seen in the Philippines (see pictures) - Jacuzzi and warm bath in the gym is awesome (see pictures) Cons - minibar is woeful (see pictures)... one snickers bar, one bag of M&M's when I paid for a room for three people. - TV's are too small in both bedroom and living room. - There are two small lights under the bedside cabinet each night.. - The Davidoff shop has a smoking lounge which is more of a cheap cafe than a lounge (see photo). The alternative smoking area in the hotel has no seats and not really very pleasant either. - The road noise from outside late at night and early in the morning is completely unacceptable. We booked the best room available and the noise late at night ruined our stay so much we checked out a day early instead of accepting a DOWNGRADE as ALL of the Premier Suites overlook main roads and crossroads! The apartment was spacious, the beds were very comfortable, they had adequate plugs (important these days with all the tech), and good closet/storage space. The shower was wonderful - I could stand there for hours if I let myself. The gym is one of the best in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Didn’t use the pool but was able to rent a tennis court. Had room service for breakfast on several occasions and they had a very good variety of dishes. Also tried a couple of their restaurants and particularly liked Raging Bull (Burgers). The location is great - right along BGC High Street, near various shops and restaurants. We also made use of their transfer service upon arrival and were provided complementary parking for our van during our stay. Overall a wonderful experience. Would definitely stay there again. N/A

I previously stayed here for three days in 2024. In December 2025, I returned and booked three Horizon Deluxe rooms from December 17–22 so my family could experience what a true five-star luxury hotel in Manila should offer. Every staff member I encountered starting from bell services, front desk, and all the way to housekeeping was professional, attentive, and clearly well trained. The service consistently reflected a true five-star luxury experience and was delivered equally to all guests, regardless of attire or social status. I mention this because I previously experienced substandard service at another hotel claiming five-star and MICHELIN recognition. During my stay at Shangri-La BGC, I wore the same clothing and received consistently respectful, high-quality service throughout. There were no judgmental looks or preferential treatment; just genuine hospitality extended to every guest. Every cent spent on this property was worth its price. I will always book with Shangri-La BGC every time I visit Manila, Philippines. No discrimination at this property. All I ask for the management is to always remind/train the staff what STANDARD service is for a 5-star luxury brand hotel and to NEVER DEVIATE to those STANDARDS. Not everyone will wear branded clothing/attire. Some will be low key so please, keep doing what you're doing with guests and I am really excited to my next stay here!

This hotel is luxury at its finest with the highest level of service possible. ✅. The hotel has a premium location in the center of BGC. Perfect for business or vacation. ✅. Gym is 2 floors. It’s clean, state of the art and probably easily one of the nicest in Asia. There are also classes there if you have extra time. ✅. Seamless airport to/from transit. ✅. Seamless concierge arrangements for dinners and touring both via email and in person. ✅. Rooms are well stocked with amenities & housekeeping is flawless. ✅. Impressive breakfast with everything you could ever want. ✅. You’re leaving before breakfast, no problem. They arrange pre-departure to have a custom selected breakfast available to take on the go. ✅. Restaurants in hotel are great- including Michelin choices! ✅. Late night drinks in a cool venue, the hidden speakeasy doesn’t disappoint. ALL AMAZING….. But what really sets this hotel apart is the SERVICE. Meticulously managed and overseen by Jinnah Corpuz, nothing is too much to ask. One of our family members lost a neck brace and pillow in transit. No problem. Jinnah arranged for the concierge to go out late night on a Sunday to find a replacement neck brace and pillow- requiring stops & purchases at different stores. Can’t recommend highly enough. If you’re looking for a first class experience in Manila to call home, this is it.

Kim at the front desk is amazingly helpful. Bad: a few inconveniences - we booked 5 rooms and received a welcome email from the hotel confirming as such. I was surprised to find out at checking in that none of the rooms were on the same floor. I then tried to book reservations at Canton Road and High Street Cafe and was told none were available at High Street Cafe for the buffet and only one table of 4 was available at Canton Road. We ended up going to the Peruvian restaurant as that was the only availability. Also, tried booking 5 massages and was told only one was available. I guess I was expected to make meal and spa reservations before arrival? That is not something I’ve experienced at other hotels in the past and I think the hotel can definitely make note of that in the welcome email. Ugly: multiple service failures at the Peruvian restaurant Samba. We had a 1:30 reservation and arrived late at 1:37. Was told by the server that the kitchen stops cooking at 2:15. No problem and we placed our order. We had a big party so order multiples of the same dishes. First dish that arrived was one order of pork belly of which we had ordered 3. We told the server that brought it that we had ordered 3 and she immediately confirmed yes, so we didnt think anything was wrong. Later on, 3 other dishes had only one order show up instead of the multiple that we ordered. At this point, I’m a bit annoyed, but what really upset me was when the server came to me to confirm the missing items, it seemed like I was the one inconveniencing them. She stated that they will need to coordinate with the kitchen staff to see if they can push through and get my request because it’s after 2:15. Seriously? Just get me what I ordered in the first place. Shortly after, a different server came to our table and handed us a drink menu and simply said you can pick 2 drinks. We hadn’t order any alcoholic beverages, so my wife asked what it was for. That is when the server said that it was 2 drinks on the house. I assumed that was a goodwill gesture from management for screwing up our order, but that was not communicated. Up to this point (about an hour in) no one has apologized for having 4 dishes missing. About 10 minutes later, a gentleman stop by and asked how everything was and I just told him that it was terrible. He was genuinely concerned and was the first person in the whole staff that we’ve encountered that seemed to care instead of just going through the motions. He offered to comp the remaining dishes which I said was no need. All I wanted was the food I ordered without having to be made to feel guilty about it. He did bring a complimentary dessert for the kids, which they really enjoyed.
- Archer91 (10/5): Exceptional Stay at Shangri-La The Fort - My recent stay at Shangri-La The Fort in BGC was amazing, living up to the brand’s reputation for luxurious hospitality in one of Manila’s most vibrant districts. It began right from my early morning arrival at NAIA where the hotel rep & driver greeted me with warm smiles, assisted me with luggage, and a smooth ride into the hotel. A staff member met me at the entrance and f the hotel and personally escorted me straight to my room, bypassing the front desk reception entirely for a seamless, VIP-like check-in. This thoughtful touch was especially appreciated after a long flight. The room itself was spacious, with modern accents, and offered breathtaking panoramic view of BGC skyline and distant mountain ranges. I tried The Fort Silog featuring garlic fried rice, beef tapa, pork tocino, salted egg, and tomato. It was deliciously prepared, hitting the spot perfectly. Overall, every interaction I had was warm and professional, the facilities were impeccable, and the central BGC location couldn’t be better.

Lobby is already Yuletide themed this early. Service staff seem very much well trained from top to bottom. Room amenities still make a sparkle. Location near malls, convenience stores and restaurants make it near ideal for everything. So is the fast speed free Wi-Fi and the elaborate fitness center. Breakfast choices are still bountiful and tasty. Every year I had been making a review of this hotel .

The ladies on the check-in desk were very friendly, chatty and welcoming. Like a lot of hotels and residences in Manila, the pool was really good for lap swimming, which a very attentive life guard who was very quick to speak to some people who strayed into the lap lane. The jacuzzi is excellent, though it wasn't working on the morning of my second day. Possible the best feature is use of the Kerry Sports Centre. The steam room and jacuzzis are amazing. My only complaint there is that when I arrived, I was only given vague directions to that area. I was wandering around for a while trying to find it and it was only when I strayed into a private area that a member of staff appeared. Even then I had to get assistance from another guest. Breakfast, as with all Shangri-La properties, was incredible. One event did leave a sour taste in my mouth though, when I was apparently inappropriately attired for breakfast and rather than tell me, the lady spoke to my Filipina companion, who passed this onto me.

Security is excellent and service typical Filipino friendliness all-round. The setting is 5 star as you enter the premises, to the reception and service. The location makes it even more special as you are able to walk around the hotel to restaurants, bars etc.

What made it so special wasn’t just the beautiful spaces or the wonderful amenities — it was the people. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. We’re not celebrities by any stretch, but the way the staff treated us made us feel as if we were. At breakfast in the High Street Café, Wilmae, Jessebel, Kyli, and Sofia always greeted us with warm smiles, remembering little details and surprising us with treats that made each morning feel extra special. Housekeeping, led by Gio and Jo, kept our room in perfect order — but what truly touched us was the joy they brought to our 6-year-old. Each day, they would leave a “towel animal” for him to discover. He would rush excitedly back to the room, eager to see what new creation awaited him. His favorite was the adorable pair of teddy bear twins. By the pool, lifeguard Noel made sure our son had a wonderful time and Carl was always attentive and kind. And at the Poolside Café, Ian, Ymann, and especially Jom looked after us with such care. On our last dinner, Jom even arranged a special Bon Voyage dessert — a gesture that meant so much to us and made our farewell bittersweet. To the management team, we wanted to share just how much your people made our stay extraordinary. It wasn’t only about excellent service — it was the way they anticipated our needs, remembered the little things, and treated us with such warmth that we felt completely at home. They turned simple moments into treasured memories for our family, especially for our 6-year-old, who will always remember the towel animals and the friends he made here. Special mention to KIM of concierge who let me borrow an umbrella although we haven’t checked in yet because it is still early. Allen of room attendant, who kept our room always clean and complete with coffee and bottles of water. Thank you Allen…Kudos to two of you.Will definitely come back again.
- Greg Kamran (10/5): - Amazing location, in the middle of BGC. I love this hotel, the staff were so nice and were friendly and welcoming. The nice check in lady upgraded us to the 40th floor for a cheaper price. The buffet on our floor was the best buffet me, my son, my wife and her Filipino family had ever tried. The kids fun center was also nice and so was the pool. Everything about this hotel was great.

Joshua, Unica, and Beatrice were so helpful, friendly, and professional. And their English level was great, so easy to communicate :) Thanks for the parma ham Spanish salad and fresh OJ. - RfamAdventures (10/5): A Birthday Celebration to Remember – Thank You, Shangri-La The Fort! 3 Days and 2 Nights of Heartfelt Hospitality (July - I’d like to share our 3-day, 2-night experience at Shangri-La The Fort as we celebrated my wife’s birthday — a celebration made unforgettable by the incredible staff who made us feel not just welcome, but truly at home. First Day – July 13, 2025 Upon check-in, Kathryn at the reception made everything smooth and seamless. She was aware of the surprise I arranged for my wife and discreetly signaled that everything was ready — a detail I greatly appreciated, as my wife had no clue. She even coordinated with her team to assist with our luggage, allowing me to freely record my wife's reaction to the surprise. Her subtlety and initiative made a huge impact on our special moment. Gabriel, who helped us with our bags, was respectful, accommodating, and full of enthusiasm. His energy made us feel instantly welcomed — you can truly tell that he loves working here. Ivann from room service was simply exceptional. He delighted our entire family, especially our kids. Upon learning that they had nut allergies and couldn’t eat the birthday cake prepared for our arrival, he personally brought out cookies they could safely enjoy — which they loved! He also made sure we were fully taken care of: from bubble bath soap to kiddie slippers and robes, everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. He was fantastic. Over at the pool, Vert on the 8th floor was incredibly accommodating. Without being asked, he offered to pump our kids’ floaters. Even when other guests were calling different staff members, Vert would instantly notice us and alert his teammates whenever we raised our hands for assistance. Despite the busy crowd, we felt attended to and cared for because of him. Later that day, we encountered another exceptional staff member — Arnel from room service. On our way back from the pool, he approached us and offered to refresh our room. We didn’t even know we could request a “make-up room” in the afternoon! That thoughtful act made us feel like we were truly in a home away from home. on the said day, he also made a puppy out of a towel placed on our bed and our kids were surprised and loved it so much. We were married in Shangri-La Makati and have had wonderful family vacations at Shangri-La Mactan and Boracay — but having people like Arnel and Ivann serve us in The Fort made us feel that the service level here is simply unmatched. Arnel's service was consistent and outstanding throughout our entire stay. Second Day – July 14, 2025 Our breakfast at High Street Café was remarkable. The wide selection of food and the warm, accommodating chefs set the tone for a joyful meal. Even though we came down with only an hour left before closing, the entire team made our experience worth every minute. Gem, at the front of the café, was friendly and accommodating — always smiling and welcoming. Kyli was warm, engaging, and connected effortlessly with guests. After learning that my wife’s birthday was the next day, he even said he would prepare something for her — such a thoughtful touch. Michael was proactive and made sure we were well taken care of. He even offered to take our family photo and made sure the shot came out beautifully. Sofia was cheerful and responsive, quickly attending to requests and clearing our table with a smile. Franz, proudly serving as the “egg ambassador,” had such an upbeat spirit and took the initiative to assist even outside his designated station. His energy stood out. Luis noticed I enjoyed my coffee and offered a to-go cup before we left — a simple yet thoughtful gesture that meant a lot. Later that afternoon, we returned to the pool, and Ian from Samba impressed us with his attentiveness and service. We ordered tacos and sweet potato fries, but the fries came out burnt and bitter, making them inedible for the kids. When we informed Ian, he apologized sincerely, promised to report the issue, and immediately replaced the fries with a properly cooked batch. He even offered us two complimentary drinks to make up for the inconvenience. No hotel is perfect — but how Shangri-La handles imperfections is what sets it apart. They take responsibility and ensure nothing ruins your stay. Ian, you were amazing. Third Day – July 15, 2025 On our final morning, we had breakfast again at High Street Café. On our way in, Gem saw us and warmly greeted us, even remembering that we had kids. That simple gesture — remembering who we were despite the number of guests they serve daily — made us feel seen, valued, and truly at home. As we sat down with our food, Kyli surprised my wife with a birthday cake and a heartfelt greeting. I had already forgotten his promise from the day before — but clearly, he didn’t. I was even taken aback and asked how he remembered. It was a simple gesture, but it deeply delighted us. We didn’t book a luxurious suite — just a room big enough for our family of four with a nice High Street view — and yet we were treated like VIPs from beginning to end. Shangri-La is indeed a home for our family. Nathan also stood out that morning. He was incredibly accommodating and served us as if he were assigned to our table alone. Whether it was refilling coffee, clearing dishes, or bringing food, he was consistently attentive and gracious. He’s truly amazing. We were so satisfied with our stay that we immediately booked our New Year’s celebration (December 30, 2025 – January 1, 2026) at Shangri-La The Fort the very next day! Our kids are already asking for a longer stay next time — that’s how much they loved it. Thank you, Shangri-La, for being more than just a hotel. Thank you for being a home for our family. - BearHug_ph (8/5): Worth the rate 😊 - Even though we're member of Shangri La golden circle this our first time staying at the fort as we normally stay at Edsa Shangri-la. So we can't help but compare to them now (≧▽≦) - room here is modern, spacious & still well maintain - service is great as all Shangri La property are - gym @ Kerry sports is impressive, open 24/7 it does have lots of exercise equipment, basketball court, swimming pool, tennis & offer diff workout class - breakfast at the café is nice also, the food look more appetizing then the actual taste but service is really good - property is located BGC hight street, there lot of cafe, restaurant & shop but public transportation is limited, with TNVS like Grab or motorcycle taxi as your main options - overall, we enjoyed our stay & look forward to try their horizons clubs next time
- ANF1111 (10/5): A lovely hotel in a perfect location - I left this hotel a couple of days ago. I was there for business and my husband traveled with me. It was my first time in Manila. The hotel is really nice. The room was lovely with a great view and wonderful welcome amenities. The housekeeping was exceptional. I travel a lot and was impressed by the attention to details. The hotel is in a great location and we walked to so many places. There are shopping/dining places within steps, including two indoor shopping centers. The Mind Museum is across the street. We were there in rainy season so it was nice to duck into a mall while walking around when the rain started. I highly recommend this hotel. We didn’t meet a single employee who wasn’t kind or smiling. Service is high and the warmth of the people showed through every interaction.

- Matthew (10/5): - I have been traveling the world my whole life and have visited many countries during my time in the U.S. Navy. Shangri-La The Fort Manila and Shangri-La the Fort Boracay are by far the best resorts I've stayed in. The services they provide far exceed the price you pay (in my opinion). The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal. All the staff were professional and prompt. Best customer service I've seen anywhere. Specific shout out to the night manager Karl.
