- Justin (5/5): - The hot breakfast. When I went to check out, the front desk person was asleep and I couldn't get the receipt I needed. The bathtub didn't drain.

- Stephanie (7/5): No problems with My stay.. - It was fine. The pool was closed.
- michael (4/5): will not stay at this hotel again - convenient location and staff was nice. Not enough parking. Breakfast bar was not stocked and food was poor quality. beds was hard as a rock and lumpy. Not enough towels in the room had to go get them as needed. Room was dirty and had roach bugs
- Aidan (7/5): -
- Kelly (10/5): Very friendly and accommodating - Excellent
- Sara (1/5): DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. - Location is amazing, right across the street from Camp Lejeune entrance gate (Wilson Gate). From the outside the building looks newer, nice, clean and landscaped. Once inside, it looks like it used to be an old apartment complex, old carpet line the hallways and look as thought they haven’t been vacuumed in ages. We arrived at 11:30pm after driving 12 hours. Signs taped to the doors state the main lobby doors close and lock at midnight. (?) We had quite a bit of luggage, and loaded up the luggage cart only to find that they don’t have elevators. We had to unload our luggage one by one on the first cart at the bottom of the stairwell and carry it up to the cart waiting at the top of stairway on the 2nd floor. Once upstairs, it’s an odd layout of hallways, peeling paint, and each room door has been retrofitted with new key card locks, but over top of the old ones. Looks a little trashy. The only other entrance I saw to the 2nd floor was an exit only, due to no keycard lock, just wires coming out 6” from a metal box beside the doorframe outside. So how do guests get back inside after midnight? That stairway outside was blocked by a man and all his bags:belongings sitting on the top of the steps smoking weed, he was nice though, offered me a cold beer. It was tempting after this. Still, we were just tired. Inside the room, there is BLACK dust and grime from floor to ceiling on the wall behind the door. Hardwood floors definitely weren’t swept, and each corner had the ill fitting baseboards peeling away from the wall about an inch or larger, leaving big gaps and holes filled with dust, lint, dead insects/spiders & cobwebs. The drawer under the tv had some sort of insect pupa or eggs inside., and a live cockroach scurried across the floor. Lifting up the metal bed frame, we saw many dead bugs and bug shells. The corner under the desk had a spider web that stretched 6” in all directions, with another 1-2” diameter black hole in the wall behind it. We loaded everything back onto our cart and carried it downstairs, where I spoke with the front...

- Whittington (3/5): - Location and night staff was great but day shift front desk was racist against white women an just rude the cleaners was very nice and helpful
- Siqueira (10/5): It worth it, good breakfast nice beds, too noisy at night. - Convenient It’s not updated
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Samantha (8/5): -
- Cornell (9/5): - Very friendly staff
- Ritter (10/5): But all in all, I loved it and I will stay again - It was amazing I didn’t like the fact that we almost got kicked out and I almost got put on the do not register yet rent to live
- Kimberly (5/5): It served it's purpose of being somewhere to sleep for a quick weekend trip. - It was convenient location for where we needed to go. The pool was too cold to enjoy. If the fans were off I'm sure that would've help. The hot tub was broken. The room's bathroom didn't have a vent for the steam so the entire room got foggy/damp after our whole crew had showers. The ceiling in the bathroom had some cracks. Breakfast was ok. Very limited choices and the lid for the hot food was broken so it kept falling into the food when you ope ed/shut it. Staff was super nice tho.
- Darin (8/5): - Suite I stayed in was great. Pool was a little chilly. Needed the filter to be running.
- Alissa (3/5): - Very dirty! Bathroom had mold on ceiling and baseboards. There was hair on our bed sheets. We went to the front desk to get fresh sheets and those had hair on them as well
Pillows were half the size of normal pillows and were very lumpy! When air conditioner was on it had a bad odor coming out of it, possibly mold. The floors and walls were all marked up. The mattresses were so hard it felt like I was sleeping on concrete.
- MsLLong (9/5): - Breakfast included.
- Maruyama (6/5): -
- Kobiachi (9/5): Pleasant stay for a good price - Room was clean and staff was extremely friendly. Stayed over in between long drives, and the shower and bed were great to recharge and rest up for the next day. Breakfast options had a decent selection which was a nice start to the day. Couldn't make Oatmeal at breakfast due to available bowls being Styrofoam.
Exterior door unlock with key card did not work, but was able to go through the building.
- Sydnie (10/5): - Was clean and staff was friendly
- Amary (10/5): Relaxing and quiet - The pool Idk

- peggy (9/5): - Love it The tv stations
- Jennifer (4/5): Price was good. - The staff was friendly. The pool and hot tub was great. It was older and needed some fixing up. We also seen several roaches in the room.
- April (10/5): Great staff, clean rooms. Overall a great stay - Close to several shops.
- ANDREA (1/5): -
- Lockridge (7/5): -
- Tatiana (7/5): First come, first served. - The front desk lady at night was super nice. The shampoo smelled so good. The beds were comfortable. When we got there, the room we booked was not available. We were then “upgraded” to a room with a kitchen. When we opened the room door and closed it, we noticed 3 roaches running around on the back of the door and one in the bathroom. There was a loud noise coming from the fridge, we couldn’t unplug it because we had food and our baby’s milk that needed refrigeration. We could not sleep because the noise was so loud. There was a blue/black washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod, may have been left behind from previous guest. The front desk lady in the daytime, kept brushing us off and was on the phone having a conversation, so we couldn’t express our concerns. We chose this hotel because we’ve stayed there before, but we left disappointed. We got there at 1:30am, after a 10 hour drive, with a 2 year old (and a stressful day) We didn’t bring it up when we got there because all we wanted to do was sleep…which my mom didn’t get any of because she slept in the bed next to the refrigerator.
- Michael (5/5): It was ok, Didn’t see any bugs, bed was comfortable, breakfast was adequate, room smelled like marijuana smoke. - The hot tub in the suite The room smelled like marijuana smoke, the tub area needed non slip pads or something on the steps, the tv channel selection was lacking.
- Jennifer (9/5): Great Location & Price! - Such a convenient location to Camp Lejeune!! 24 hr gas station and McDonald's within walking distance was a plus! Highly recommend. Bed was kinda hard but that's personal preference. My husband slept like a baby. We wanted to check out the hot tub at one point but it was out of service due to cleaning for 2 days.
- Trelease (7/5): It was fine. Affordable - The whole place is old and run down. But it was affordable Everything was outdated and run down. The hot tub was closed . Breakfast not very good
- Marrio (5/5): Short but sweet - The rooms were clean The breakfast didn't have salt or pepper for the eggs
- Maria (10/5): -
- Schnellbacher (8/5): Good stay for the money - Evening clerk was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great location for visit to
USMC Camp Lejeune. Pet friendly. Hotel is somewhat dated
- Carmen (10/5): My Marine Vacation - La ubicación y un excelente servicio Todo estuvo bien
- Stephanie (1/5): -
- Elliott (1/5): - The customer service was great It was roach infested I went to the lady and I explained to what showed in the pictures it was roaches everywhere they had to move my room two times I just left slept in my car
- Whittington (5/5): -
- Ashlay (10/5): Nice friendly people - Love the lady that checked us in she was amazing Very clean
- Johnson (10/5): -
- Conor (9/5): The stay was very nice and I plan to use the same hotel in the event my girlfriend comes back to visit me here. - The property was very clean and was suitable for my girlfriend and I to get comfortable. The lack of elevators from what we could tell was a little disappointing.
- Marilyn (10/5): - My attendant was exceptional Smoking of staff in the front door .
- Corrales (10/5): Todo muy amable - Si Si
- Emily (5/5): A lot of things need to be fixed in the room. - It was clean and staff was ok Our room had a lot of broken amenities. The shower was cracked, the counter top was cracked, the tv stand was broken, but overall I would come back.
- Jacob (10/5): -
- Louie (8/5): -
- Wilson (10/5): Great nights sleep and pet friendly - Great waffle and different breakfast options We couldn't stay longer
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Carlos (6/5): - Room was clean. But we had de roaches in the room
- Kim (10/5): - Clean, quiet…perfect for my needs
- Margaret (10/5): - Staff was super friendly and welcoming both at check in and during the stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Little dated, but was not intolerable. Would certainly say again.
- Maria (10/5): Recomendado 100% - Su ubicación principalmente ,amabilidad del personal y sobre todo que cumplen con el área de no fumadores.
- Renee (6/5): - At 8:30 the eggs and meat were gone when asked if they would replinish was told no. Pillows very lumpy. Nice hot tub.
- Ahmad (10/5): - Great
- Robert (3/5): - Good size room Bedroom pillows were like breeze blocks
No ice machines working
Surly reception staff
- Stephanie (9/5): Worth the price! - Convenient location to base. HUGE room suite. Great space for the kids to have room away from each other. Very clean. Very friendly. Pet friendly. It's a little out dated and the bed wasn't the most comfortable but was still a great stay
- Kyle (4/5): - There was a dead giant roach in the corner of my room. Everything at hotel seemed run down.
Basically it is just a cheap run down hotel. But it is not very expensive.
- Johnny (6/5): - Overall stay would have been excellent, I should have requested a first floor room because there was not an elevator. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! My biggest complaint was that I placed the do not disturb card on my door, upon my return after my first night I noticed someone had been in my room. The trash was emptied and additional towel was in the bathroom and the towel I used was still there. The front desk staff evening and daytime were friendly and extremely helpful to include the lady that prepared the breakfast.
- xdsquirrel (8/5): -
- Wanda (9/5): - the room was great. my granddaughter;s loved the pool. The traffic was very loud, I didn't sleep much.
- Regina (6/5): - Bed was very comfortable and room has all the standards. There were holes in the wall and peeling paint in my room. Overall, it met my needs and the hot water was great!
- Nicole (10/5): Great hotel! - Room was very big, clean and beautiful.
- Mark (4/5): - Only light beside bathroom were bedside lamps...too dark...bedside lamp had sticky substance like dried jelly all over the top and over/in plug ports and up the laml pole...first night the sheets were damp and unpleasant...bed was extremely hard and we had to sleep partially sitting up tp relieve back pain...the only handicap ramps from parking lot to the sidewalk are a5 the very front near the office and at the backside of the end of the buildings (ADA violation?)
- Debra (10/5): Red roof inn - The people there were so friendly I came in, didn’t realize I had a second floor. I couldn’t walk up the steps. It took him a little bit to rearrange, but they got me one downstairs and close to the back doors for the dog area so I could walk my little mini poodle. They were so nice look after me.
- FADY (7/5): Poor Staff Performance - The hotel is clean, convenient, and affordable The staff, I co.plained that the ice machines were not working on both floors and they didn't do anything about it. I had to buy ice for drinks. That is something that should be included. I don't have to spend more money because someone didn't do his/her job
- Mechelle (6/5): - The stay was good not great because they are currently renovating.
- Maria (10/5): Excelente alojamiento y recomendado 100% - El servicio,la limpieza,la amabilidad en recepción, el respeto al área de no fumar, la ubicación, todo me gustó con gusto volvería.
- Hector Rivera (2/5): - The room smells like mold furniture was worn and old
- Eirick (10/5): - We choose Red Roof every time we're in Jacksonville. Its consistent in all areas and the staff is cordial, welcoming and efficiant.
- Pachy (8/5): - I drove down from Manhattan for an emergency. My son was taken to the hospital, when he was moved to another facility I wanted to be closer to him and requested to cancel the days I had left to be able to pay for my next accommodation and they didn’t care and charged me the full amount anyways. They couldn’t make an exception considering what I was going through. But the place was decent overall.
- Imanerd303 (10/5): It was amazing - Loved that the property had a pool and hot tub, and breakfast for the kids in the morning. Nothing
- Marcus Dubose (10/5): - That we were shown a suite and the clerk was able to accommodate us even though booking.com booked us a regular room That booking.com didn't book the room they advertised
- Michele (6/5): - The bathroom door knob was faulty and I got locked in the bathroom. Thank gos I had someone with me old enough to understand to get my phone so that I could call for help. My granddaughter is 6 years old and was able to assist. That truly pissed me off.
The gas station next store was extremely loud with motorcycles and cars drag racing coming out of the station over and over til after midnight. It was awful.
- simmons (6/5): -
- Ronald (4/5): - Bedroom floor was slimy and the bathroom needs major improvements as there was a visible old hole in the wall next to the shower and bathroom door was dilapidated not to mention the pool area needs a ton of maintenace and update.
- Mildred (10/5): - I love the place. It’s so clean and quiet, they serve a good and hot breakfast. I love the pancake, staff are nice very accommodating and helpful .. what I like most is it’s only a few minutes drive from the base. Were my son station.
- Amy (8/5): - Would stay again! Excellent breakfast!!!
- Tyler (6/5): -
- Ashley (6/5): - The staff - friendly. Room - dated furnishings. Extremely small bathroom-no counter space. Sink wasn’t draining. AC noisy. Price was good, but I wouldn’t stay there again. Breakfast was ok. Pool has way too much chlorine. The space reeked of chlorine causing headache.
- Roberto (10/5): Good price/quality - The hotel is well kept. Breakfast is very good.
- Patricia (10/5): - The staff works hard to accomodate your needs. The rooms aren't fancy but very nice and comfortable. If you have a pet, it is excellent for providing an outside walking space along with waste bags. I would stay there again.
- LeDarius (8/5): -
- David (8/5): Marine infantry training graduation - I was very pleased with the accommodations. The hotel's near the Marine base, so travel was relatively easy, except during rush hour.
My TV remote had dead batteries and the desk clerk didn't have any. She gave me the batteries out of her remote and we were up and running.
I had to repair a leg on the mini fridge, but I like doing those kinds of things.
I would highly recommend this hotel given the reasonable price and comfortable accommodations.
- Jan (8/5): -
- Ahmad (10/5): Great Stay – Highly Recommend! -
I had a fantastic experience at [Red Roof Inn & Suites Jacksonville, NC ]. The staff were friendly and helpful from the start, and check-in was quick and easy. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a great view.
The breakfast was fresh and delicious with plenty of variety. The location was perfect—close to everything but still quiet. Overall, a smooth, relaxing stay. I’d definitely come back!
- Misty (6/5): - Rude workers
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
